Shinobu stood up as she stood next to Kurome and Kanao. As she did, Kurome looked at her and said one thing.
"Yozora's gonna scold you big time for what you tried to pull."
Shinobu merely smiles as she heard that. She could tell that's something Yozora would definitely do to her for what she was planning. But right now, they need to focus on one thing. Killing Upper Moon Two as quickly as possible.
As Kurome stood with her blade in hand, she noticed something wrong. Her body felt hotter than usual, like it was on fire. The sound of her heart beating was ringing in her ears. However she didn't have time to focus on that as everyone got ready to attack.
"Breath of the Beast, Fourth Fang:Mince to Bits!!!!!!"
Inosuke unleashed multiple diagonal double slashes with both of his swords. Douma quickly used his fans to block the strike, but Kurome dashed behind him.
"Breath of Water, Seventh Form:Piercing Rain Drop!!!!"
With great accuracy, Kurome quickly stabs Douma's back with her blade. As Douma was about to attack her with his fans, Shibobu dashed in front of him.
"Breath of Insect, Dance of the Dragonfly:Compound Eye Hexagon!!!!"
Shinobu attacks Douma in six different areas of his body as she injects poison in each area she struck.
Seeing this, Douma simply smiled.
"That's not going to work remember. You need to-"
Shinobu and Kurome quickly got out of the way. Douma was confused by this until he saw Kanao in front of him.
"Breath of Flower, Fourth Form:Crimson Hanagoromo!!!!"
Once more, Kanao swung her blade at Douma with a single sword slash that twists and turns. After seeing this move already, Douma used his fans to make a wall of ice in front of him.
"Breath of the Beast, Ninth Fang....."
Douma quickly jumped to the side to avoid an attack from Inosuke. However, he was surprised when blood escaped from his eyes. As he looked at Inosuke he was shocked by what he saw.
".........Godly Undulating Slice."
Everyone was surprised to see Inosuke had dislocated the joints in his arms. After waving around his arm a few times, Inosuke's arm was back to the way it was but the boy had an angry look.
"DAMMIT! That new technique still isn't accurate! I aimed for his head, but i missed!!!"
Kanao, Kurome, and Shinobu looked at Inosuke. As they heard this, they all had one single thought in their heads.
"He is one dumb, crazy kid."
"Hahahaha. You're one interesting kid, i don't think i've ever met someone like you. Though.........i doubt you're the one Upper Moon One talked about."
Everyone was shocked by what Douma said. Upper Moon One had his sights set one on someone in the corps. Seeing their reaction, Douma smiled.
"To be honest, i've never seen him act like that before. It was almost terrifying."
~Flashback~
All of the Upper Moons were finished with their meeting. As they were all there, they saw something unusual. The calm Upper Moon One's hand was shaking, almost as if he was expecting something.
"Listen.....there is one demon slayer none of you shall fight. I will be the one to kill him."
"Is he strong? If so then i want t-"
"You all would die in two ways. The obvious way being that he kills you. As for the second way......if one of you somehow does manage to kill him before i cross blades with him.....i'll sever your heads myself."
All the other Upper Moons felt the air getting colder. They could tell that Upper Moon One was serious about what he said. If any of them were to kill the person he wanted to fight, all of them would die.
~Flashback ends~
"I wonder who this person could be. But enough about that. Let's have some fun, shall we? Though since Akaza was defeated, i should head out soon. So in the meantime, have fun with these."
Douma created miniature ice replicas of himself. As the ice replicas landed on the ground, they instantly used some of Douma's techniques. As Inosuke, Kanao, and Shinobu dodged the attacks, Kurome charged towards Douma.
"I don't care if i get hurt. I don't care if my body gets frozen. Yozora trusted me to be here, so i won't let his faith in me be a mistake."
"Oh, you're approaching me. Instead of fighting off my replicas to save your comrades, you're approaching me?"
Suddenly Douma's eyes widen as he felt Kurome's blade pierce through his chest. As he looked at Kurome, he noticed something different. On Kurome's right cheek, there was a mark that looked like fluid-water. As Kurome looked at Douma. She kicked him away and said one thing.
"I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer."
Douma suddenly charged at the girl as he swung his fans around with incredible speed. Kurome swung her blade to counter each strike, but Douma realized something. Kurome's speed and power increased greatly.
"What the hell is going on? This girl is dangerous, i need to get rid of her no-!!!"
"Breath of Water, Tenth Form:Constant Flux!!!!!!"
Kurome unleashed a continuous attack that increases in power with each rotation, creating a strong slash. As Douma felt his upper body being separated from his lower one, he was going to use another of his blood demon art, but was suddenly attacked from the side.
"Breath of Insect, Dance of the Centipede:Hundred-Legged Zigzag!!!!"
Shinobu ran at full speed in a zigzag manner to build up momentum. As she was heading for Douma, she was using all of her strength to thrust her sword into the demon's neck and injected more poison. As Douma was pinned to a wall, he coughs up blood as he tries to freeze Shinobu.
"Kanao!!! Inosuke!!!!! Take your chance!!!!!"
"Breath of Water, Fourth Form:Striking Tide!!!!!"
Kurome makes multiple consecutive slashes while twisting her body in a flowing fashion similar to a harsh tide. As she destroyed the ice replicas that Kanao and Inosuke were fighting, the two charged at Douma.
Soon Kanao swung her blade at Douma's neck. Soon the demon shifts his focus towards her, as he tries to freeze her body. Kanao felt her body going stiff as her sword was stuck in Douma's neck.
"Breath of the Beast:Sudden Throwing Strike!!!!!!"
Insouke suddenly threw both of his swords in Douma's direction. Soon Inosuke's swords built momentum and as they connected with Kanao's sword, it pushed the blade through Douma's neck. As the demon's eyes widen in shock from his head being decapitated, he saw Kurome charging at him.
"Breath of Water, Seventh Form:Piercing Rain Drop!!!!!!"
With great speed and accuracy, Kurome stabbed her blade through Douma's decapitated head. Soon they saw the demon's body beginning to crumble. As it did, Inosuke only said one thing.
"If there is no hell, then we just made one for you. Eat shit, Upper Moon 2!!!!!"
As the demon's body crumbled away, everyone released a sigh of relief. Shinobu looked at Kurome, as she was confused on why she was here.
"Oh yeah, that reminds me of something else i need to do."
Suddenly Kurome hits Shinobu's head with the sheath of her sword. Kanao was surprised by how suddenly Kurome went from an ally to bully. As Shinobu massaged her head, she looked at Kurome.
"That was from Yozora. To sacrifice yourself for something as petty as revenge.....the Shinobu i know is way too smart to throw her life away like that. Those were his exact words. Yozora is a lot of things, but a liar isn't one of them. I won't have you dying here and making a liar out of him. Besides.....how can you take revenge when your hands are trembling."
Shinobu looked at her hands when Kurome mentioned them. She was surprised when she saw her hands were shaking. Soon, Kurome spoke up to her.
"Giving up your life for something like revenge and ignoring the feelings of those around you who cherish your life. It is the height of hubris. Yozora won't allow you to make the same mistakes he did. Now get up, our job isn't done until we kill Muzan."
~Meanwhile~
Yozora, Muichiro and Gyomei were all running down the same hall. As they did, Yozora could feel a demon's ki close by.
"He's here. I'm certain he is here somewhere."
Suddenly Gyomei and Yozora turned around as they saw Muichiro getting sent somewhere else. Soon Muichiro called out to them.
"Nevermind me, just go!!!!!"
Soon Muichiro was out of there sights. However, Yozora started running as Gyomei followed him. Yozora had a worried look on his face. He noticed that Muichiro's ki was in the same area as the demon's ki that he sensed earlier.
"I need to hurry!!!!!"
~With Muichiro~
Muichiro soon found himself in an unfamiliar area. As he looked around, he saw a demon standing before him. As the demon turned around, Muichiro was shocked by what he saw.
"So you arrived.....demon slayer."
"Upper Moon 1..............."
"Hm? You.......for some reason you seem familiar."
As Kokushibo looked at Muichiro, the Mist Pillar himself was in shock. As he looked at the Upper Moon, he had one thought.
"Why does he look so much like Yozora?"
"Now then, let us see if you're worthy of even carrying the sword you have at your side."
