this is the final chapter I am writing for this book 🥺 because i literally couldn't add another one. Also be prepared because it's a long one. So I hope you guys will follow me onto book 2! which should be up in the next couple of days eek!

It has been months since everything went down with the list and the relationship drama. We have moved past from it and we have all managed to be civil, well most of us. After that night I cried everyday until I physically couldn't, the girls would come over everyday to check on me and cheer me up which I appreciated. Matt Tyler and Jeremy would also come sometimes so we could all hang out, but they also spent time with Stefan which is fair. A week, past when I decided what would be good for me was to get a little break from everything so me and the girls took a trip away for two weeks. To get away from everything and just be teenagers.
It was the best decision I ever made!
When we arrived back in mystic falls I felt refreshed and that I got some clarity. Even though what Stefan did hurt me I still cared about his deeply and I know I don't want him out of my life, so friends (ay ay ay) it what we will be.
At first it was hard because whenever we were in the same room as each other there would be this tension. The others would try and make sure we were never alone together, which worked sometimes. But me and Stefan still cared for each other so we pushed through it and we are now in a better place. What we both didn't know or want to admit was that we both still loved each other.
It has gone back to the way we were before all this happened. We laugh, hang out together all the time and joke around with each other, we even poke fun at the situation. We were also flirting a lot which the others caught on to but we didn't want to admit it to ourselves Which is nice. I have my Stefan back
Present time
We were all sitting in the Gilberts sitting room because we decided to have a pizza and movie night all together. We were trying to decide what movie we wanted to watch when Caroline suggested
"Saturday night fever!" she says then she gasped "oh my god the decades dance is on Saturday and I still haven't decided what I am going to wear!" she stands up (this dance won't follow the show, in this one it is any decade) "Matt come on we need to plan our couples costume" she shouts grabbing his hand and dragging him out he house we can hear him say
"aw man" which makes us all laugh.
"well I have my costume all ready" Bonnie says patting Jeremy on the lap
"yep, we are going to the roaring 20s" he says
"nice" I say and I turn to Elena and Tyler
"have you guys got yours yet" I ask and they shake their heads
"I know I want to be from the 70s but I need buy it" she says then Tyler speaks up
"how about after school tomorrow we go in my car and we go get our costumes?" he says and I nod
"yeah sounds great" Elena says then she turns to Stefan who is next to me "have you got yours Stefan?" she asks and I turn to him
"I haven't decided actually" he says and I say
"aw come on you have to come!" I say nudging him and he smiles
"how about you come with us tomorrow and you can decide then?" Elena says and he nods
"ok fine" We all shout yay which makes him laugh.
We all talked for a while, but I was getting tired and knew I had a long day ahead of me tomorrow so decided I was gonna head home. I picked up some dishes and said I would clean up a bit before leaving.
I was some dishes when someone walked in the kitchen
"want me to dry?" Stefan says as he leans against the door frame
"sure" I say as he walks over and grabbed a towel and starts drying.
"please come to the dance, it won't be the same without you" I say as I place a dish in the drying rack as I look up at him i see he is already looking at me.
"I had an idea" he says and I nod waiting for his response "would you want to go with me?" he says and I slowly place a glass down
"as in a date?" I say looking up at him and he nods
"I know I will have a lot more fun and I know we have been friends these past few month but" he says looking down and I place my hands on the counter. "I still lov- like you a lot and I know you feel the same" he says. I notice that our hands are almost touches now and I can't stop looking at them. I slowly look up at him
"I do" I say and he smiles. He goes to lean in but i put a hand on his chest to stop him "but I need to take it slow, even though I have moved on it will take me a while to" I say and he nods
"I know, we will go at your pace" he says and I smile.
"well I should get going" I say
"i'll drive you" he says and I nod, he holds his hand out for me to take and I do. I was nervous but as soon as our hands touched it felt right.
We had a relaxing ride to my house, we listening to music just enjoying each others company. Once we reached my house I open the door and he said
"wait, what decade are you wanting to go for?" he asks and i smile
"60s" I say before closing the door
next day, in the afternoon
Me and Tyler had chemistry together last period so once the bell rang we headed to Elena's locker to meet her. When she spotted us she closed her locker and walked towards us.
"you guys ready?" she says and we both nod
"right let's go" Tyler says putting an arm around each of us as we walk to his car. Once we get in the car my phone buzzes and I see a text from Stefan

hey sorry I can't come shopping with you guys but The Mikaelson are in town and me and Damon have to meet them so tell the others I'm sorry. I'll go get something tomorrow so don't pick anything too cute😉
I laugh as I sent a response but can't help the pit in my stomach at the thought of him in trouble
"Stefan can't make it because him and Damon have to go meet with the Mikaelsons" I say
"wait they are in town?" Tyler says and I nod
"I guess so" I say turning to Tyler and he shakes his head
"well we are not going let them ruin our day or the dance on Saturday" Elena says and we nod.
in the store
Tyler had already found his 80's jacket and shirt so he was helping me and find something. I know what look I was going for, i found a head band and I already had white boots so I was just looking for the dress. As we were browsing Elena says
"so you and Stefan seem quite close again?" she says wiggling her eyebrows
"yeah, he actually asked me to the dance" i say and she whips round
"what?!!! are you back together" she sequels and i shush her giving Tyler and oh my god look
"yes and no, I don't know we are taking it slow. I say and she nods jumping up and down. As I am shaking my head my eye catches something
"oh my god I found the dress!" I say bringing it out and showing her and she nods!
"I think I found mine too!" she says showing me hers and I nod
"yay let's go pay I am starving" Tyler says and I roll my eyes
"come on" i say shoving him.

Me and the girls were getting ready together doing each others make up and just gossiping about the men in our life. We putting the finishing touches in our makeup when Elena spoke
"what time to we need to be there to set things up?" she asks and Caroline says
"about half an hour" she says and she stand up "so let's take some pics" she says and we all squeal. This is the first time in a while we got to go out together so we are making the most of it.
"we are looking hot" Bonnie says as we grab our bags. "let's go" she says and she grabs her car keys.
...
Once we arrive at the school we all walk around to make sure all the food and punch is ready. That all the decorations are in their correct places. Caroline was talking to the teachers and me, Elena and Bonnie were wondering around the school just to make sure everything looks ok. As I was wondering along the hallway next to the gym I see something out of the corner of my eye, looks like a person. When I turn my head they stay for a few seconds them I see them walk away. I stand there in shock for a moment
"hey you ok??" Bonnie says putting a hand on my arm. I nod
"yeah, I swear I just saw Kol" I say and she looks to wear I am.
"probably just your imagination" she says and I nod as we walk back into the hall.
Half an hour later the hall was buzzing with people, music blaring, even the teachers are having a good time.
Me and the girls were dancing when Elena said
"the boys are here!" we all turn to the entrance to see them walking in together dressed to the nines. We started walking towards them and I turned my head to the right and I saw someone walking in the hallways who looked like Klaus. I stopped in my tracks again, why would they be here.
"hey you coming?" Elena say reaching her hand out for me to take. I nod as I take it and walk over.
"wow you guys look great" Bonnie says hugging Jeremy
"you ladies scrub up nice" Tyler says and we all smile. My eyes move to Stefan who is looking me up and down, I smile when his eyes meet mine as we walk towards each other"Why did you sign me up to chaperone brother?" Damon says annoyed and Stefan snaps back
:because you have seperation anxiety from your girlfriend?" Stefan says
"yeah he does" Elena says walking over to him making him look slightly less angry
"you look.... gorgeous" he says as he takes my hand and spins me round
"you look very handsome" I say. My eyes flutter down to his lips and his to mine, I look up at him and as we both lean in Night Fever by the Bee-gees starts to play and Elena says
"come on let's go dance" we both laugh and I take Stefan's hand and we dance over to the group. Once we join the group we all just let go and forget about all our worries, for a moment.
We dances the entire evening, me and Matt both said we needed a drink so we begin to make our way over to the drink stand. I was in the middle of explaining to Matt why Grease is an amazing movie when he stops in his tracks causing me to bump into him.
"hey why'd yo-" I start to say before i look to where he is looking and I freeze.
The three Mikaelson siblings standing in the doorway looking around the room. They haven't looked at us yet so we managed to back away and quickly reach the group
"guys we have a problem" Matt says and they all turn to us
"why what's happened?" Caroline says thinking it has something to do with the dance
"Klaus, Elijah and Kol just walked in here" he says and all their eyes went wide
"I told you I saw him" I say to Bonnie and she nodded
"what do you mean?" Stefan says walking over to stand next to me
"she said she saw Kol earlier and I didn't believe her" Bonnie says hugging Jeremy
"well we can't just stand here whats the plan?" he says and I look to Stefan who is looking around the room.
"we need to sneak out the back and find a way to get everyone out of here" he says grabbing a hold on my hand and pulling me closer to him.
"or just draw them away from everyone?" Tyler says.
"the dance is about to end let's just hold off until everyone leaves?" Elena says and I nod. We all try and look lie we are having a good time even though we are on edge. I look to Stefan who is staring at something and I turn to see him staring at Klaus who is standing in the corner eyes roaming the room. Like a lion deciding on its pray. I bring my hand up and turn his head to look at me
"hey, let's try and have some fun before we deal with them?" I say and he goes to turn his head again but I place both my hands on his face. His worried eyes meet mine
"hey, focus on me. Yeah?" I say and he nods so i bring my hands down to his and we starts dancing. He starts to smile again so I think I helped. We forgot about everything for a moment. Once the song ended teachers started clearing everybody out, we all go to grab our bags from the table nd when we turned back all the teachers were gone.
"um where did they all go?" Matt says
"we compelled them to leave" a voice said from behind us. We spun back around to see Klaus leaning against the wall "lovely to see you all again and you all look ravishing" he says. I grab Elena and Carolines hand and we all start to walk backwards
"where do you ladies think you going" we whip round to see Kol Mikaelson smirking at us.
"what do you want from us?" Elena say as we slowly walk back to the group
"we just wanted to ask if you are ready to give us the moonstone yet?" Elijah says.
"sorry but we don't have it so you are asking the wrong people" Damon says and he walks over to stand in front of us.
"we know where you have hidden it Damon and we know who is in there with it. So are we going to stop this cat and mouse game?" Klaus says. I look to Stefan who turns to Damon
"let's just take them there so they can go in. Don't involve them" he says motioning to us. We look to each other
"alright then let's go" Klaus says motioning to his brothers
"but where's the fun in that" Kol says speeding in front of me "I wanted some drama" he says staring at me I step back and I walk into someone I gasp as I feel hands on my arms, when look up to see Stefan
"if you want the moonstone leave them alone" he says and Kol walks away.
"we will meet you in an hour outside the compound and we will take you to the moonstone" Damon says and they nod.
...
we all take a sigh of relief when we enter the boarding house. Matt and Tyler went in the kitchen to get us all drinks, Bonnie Jer and Caroline went to sit down on the sofas. Me and Elena were saying by to the Stefan and Damon
"please be careful she says as Damon is putting on a jacket
"do you have to go with them?" I ask and he nods
"it's to get them away from you, plus you know once you enter the tomb you can't get out" he says and I put my hands on his face
"come back to me?" I say and he nods
"I promise" he says and he leans down and kisses me before he and Damon leave. Me and Elena stare at the now closed door
"they will be fine now come on let's try and relax Bonnie shouts. We both walk over to them and join in.
We put on a movie and we all just sat together, me and Elena kept checking our phones even though we knew they wouldn't reply.
around 2 hours later
As we were all tired from the dance we all fell asleep watching the movie so we didn't hear the boys entering. When they walked into the lounge they saw us all asleep
"really? why are they all here?" Damon whisper shouts which wakes up Tyler
"how'd it go?" He asks and Stefan nods
"won't see them for a while" he says. Tyler nods and nudges Matt he wakes up. They all left leaving me and Elena with the boys. Stefan picks me up and takes me upstairs to his room, I stir slightly on the way up but I don't wake up until he places me on the bed.
When my eyes open they land on him above me, I immediately engulf him in a hug. He laughs slightly before squeezing me tight. When I pull away I look for any injuries
"did you get hurt are you ok?"I say and he takes my hand
"i'm fine there was no fighting" he says and i breath a sigh of relief.
"I was so worried, if anything were to happe-" I begin to say but he interrupts me
"nothing happened or is going to happen to me. They are going to have to try a lot harder to get me away from you" he says and I lean in and kiss him. I don't care about taking it slow, I need this man in my life. Once we pull apart I say
"I love you" I look at him and he smiles
"what happened to taking it slow?" he says and I smile
"I don't care, I love you. I i always have" I say and he takes my face in his hands
"I love you too" he says and I smile.
we have been through so much together but we always found our way back to each other.
