JENNIE'S POV
I can't believe this right now. This is so fvcking stupid, I just wanna crawl under a rock and die. Like what the hell even is this?!
I sighed. Taehyung and Xiumin is currently having a sword battle. Why? I don't even know! I looked over at Seulgi and she just shrugged.
"Alright, everyone! When I count from three, you guys will start your battle. Please remember that this is a life and death situation so, sorry Taehyung, I don't know what to say to you man. Also, Xiumin, don't use magic, it's cheating and Taehyung will automatically win."
Yoongi, who was the MC, spoke. "The battle will sta-" He got cut off. "Just start the battle!" Xiumin whined. Yoongi gave him a look. "I am the MC. Do not speak to me like that." He snapped. Xiumin rolled his eyes. "Just start the fvcking battle!"
Yoongi, once again, gave him the same look and crossed his arms. Xiumin was standing at a stance position while smirking at Taehyung. And Taehyung was in the same stance, looking determinedly and handsome, as always.
"Alright, 3..."
Yoongi looked at the Xiumin.
"2..."
He averted his gaze to Taehyung.
"1-GO!" He quickly said and ran over to the side. The two men ran to each other with their swords at the ready, determined to strike at the other. All of us obviously cheered for Taehyung, but the two maknaes, Lisa and Jungkook, boo-ed and cheered at the same time.
My eyes were glued on to Taehyung as he dodged and striked at the same time. He's so.. cool. I mean, where did he even get those moves? He was born into a poor family and raised in a farm at the edge of Enchantasia.
But I guess with Jungkook being his bestfriend and all, helped him. Jungkook was training to be in the royal guard and all. And at such a young age of eleven, was when he started. Well, anyways, I'm getting distracted.
I shook my head, zoning out of Jungkook and Taehyung's backstory. "You alright, unnie?" Rosie asked, placing a hand on my left shoulder. "Mhm, I was just zoning out." I shrugged. She nodded, retrieving her hand, and I focused my eyes on the main scene once again.
(Ok so.. I don't really know how to narrate a fighting scene, so I guess it's just up to your guys' imagination. Sorry about that😅 But it's full of dodges, some missed hits, a few curses from Xiumin and Taehyung gets a little scar on his right arm. Again sorry..🥺)
SEULGI'S POV
"This is getting kinda out of hand, don't you think?" Jennie spoke out, probably frightened by the scar printed on Taehyung's arm. "Shouldn't we do something? What if Taehyung actually dies? We can't leave if he does.. and I don't want this whole world to... vanish." I walked to her.
"Well.. we actually can still leave, as long as we have the portal's source." I pointed to my necklace. "But you said-" I cut her off. "No I lied, Jennie. I just wanted to be out of here. Yes, the whole story will change, and this whole thing is very dangerous," I pointed to the current battle.
"Because it didn't happen in the actual book." Jisoo stepped up. "But even if Taehyung die-" She cut herself off as she saw Jennie widening her eyes. "If.." She reassured. ".. He'll still be awoken right? With 'love's true kiss?' or whatever's that called?" Jisoo motioned to her sister, who widened her eyes.
"Well, I'm not sure actually. Since this whole story has been turned around and all..." I tapped on my chin. "Then.. who will save TaeTae?!" Jennie held my arms. Everyone, except for Xiumin and Taehyung, froze.
"You gave hyung a nickname? Seriously, noona?" Jungkook raised a brow. Jennie gave him a look and he immediately placed his hands in surrender, backing away. Jennie turned to me again, her eyes glistening with worry.
"Uh.. well I don't know..." I shrugged, slowly retrieving my hands since I could feel Jennie gripping it. "What do you mean you don't know, Seulgi?! Aren't you supposed to be the one with the brains here?!" Lisa tugged on her sleeve, telling her to calm down.
Jennie exhaled. "Well.. true love's kiss only really happen when two people love each other. Even though they don't realize it, they can't control their feelings." I shrugged. Jennid crashed her eyebrows. I sighed.
"His true love can't be Sana now because they don't even know each other. Instead of meeting Sana, he meet yo-" I froze. "What?" Jennie shrugged. "Wait.. Taehyung's true love is-" Jisoo was cut off when Taehyung was pushed to us. He was on the ground, his sword gliding across the room.
"Tae!" Jennie quickly kneeled down and a few others also checked to see if he was alright. A loud chuckle interrupted the moment. "Xiumin.." I gritted my teeth. "Looks like I win, Prince Failure." He stood tall in front of Taehyung who was laying on the ground.
"Now.. I want my prize..." Xiumin admired his sword. Taehyung stood up with Jennie on his right and Jungkook on his left. "What do you want?" He panted. "I want..." He looked around the room. "Her." He pointed to Jennie which made her widen her eyes.
A/N POV
"M-me?" Jennie pointed to herself. Xiumin just nodded. "What?! No!" Taehyung grabbed Jennie's wrist and pulled her back. The smirking lad chuckled darkly. "What do you want with her?!" Taehyung compressed his teeth together. "Calm down, lover boy. I just want her as my personal assistant, not whatever you're thinking." He winked at Jennie.
Jennie just whimpered, hiding behind Taehyung. "No! You can't take her! She doesn't have anything to do with this!" Xiumin crossed his arms at Taehyung's statement. "She was literally the sole reason of why we fought, though..?" Taehyung just rolled his eyes.
"You can have anything else! Just leave her out of this!" Xiumin thought for a moment. "Anything?" He smirked. Taehyung nodded, standing his ground. The guy was clearly nervous. Anything could mean anything! And it's not a very good word to use with villians.
Despite all the nervousness, Taehyung still managed to look fierce. "Hmm.." Xiumin walked back and forth. "What about..." He tapped his chin. Xiumin knew exactly what he wanted, he's just pretending to think, like all villians do.
The room grew silent and only Xiumin's footsteps can be heard. That was until he snapped his fingers and faced Taehyung, smirking. Taehyung raised a brow, as curious as a cat. He knew it was going to be something...
