Yozora was seen running ahead as he sensed two people. When he caught up, he saw Muichiro and Gyomei. Seeing this, he called out to them.
"Himejima! Muichiro!!!"
"Yozora, thank goodness you're safe."
"Thanks Muichiro, but what happened at the Ubuyashiki estate?"
After asking his question, Yozora noticed that the group was surrounded by demons. As they all fought them off, Gyomei answered his question.
"He went to the afterlife ahead of us. It was a magnificent final moment."
"I can't imagine him getting discovered by the demons through his own mistakes........did he make himself a decoy?"
Gyomei paused for a moment. Soon Muichiro and Yozora saw the man slowly nod his head. When he did, they didn't know how to react.
"Yes......because his days were already numbered."
"When i was on the verge of death after being attacked by demons, he encouraged me. He did the same with all the demon slayers even as he was dying. It was thanks to him that i got to meet the only family i got left. Muzan.....i swear i'll kill him. I'll show him hell!!!!"
As Muichiro had tears in his eyes, Yozora looked ahead. He didn't cry, his heart didn't have enough room for him to feel sadness. Right now, all he felt was immense rage. Soon he spoke up to his cousin.
"Don't worry Muichiro. We all feel the same way."
~With Shinobu~
"Why hello there, very nice to meet you. My name is Douma. It's a very nice night out tonight, isn't it."
Shinobu had nothing but anger towards this demon. There he was, the demon who killed her sister. Seeing her like this, Douma spoke up.
"How sad. Is something bothering you? I'll make sure to listen. So come on, speak up."
"Something bothering me? You're the one who killed my sister! Don't you recognize this haori?!"
As Douma looked at Shinobu, he was reminded of demon slayer that he fought before. Soon a look of realization was on his face as he smiled.
"Ah! You mean the flower breath from before? She was a cute and sweet girl. I missed out on eating her because the sun wa-"
"Breath of Insect, Dance of the Bee Sting:True Flutter!"
Shinobu dashed at Douma with incredible speed and delivered a single thrust from her sword straight into Douma's eye as she injected poison into the demon.
Douma smiled as he was impressed by Shinobu's speed. Soon he held the fans in his hands tightly as he decided to fight back.
"Blood Demon Art:Lotus Ice."
Douma created multiple lotuses made out of ice to attack or even ensnare Shinobu. However, Shinobu quickly jumped back but she still felt the air getting cold.
"So cold! The air is cold enough to rip someone's lungs to shreds."
"You really are fast, but stabbing isn't enough to kill a demon. You have to go for the neck."
"True stabbing won't work, but what about poison?"
Suddenly Douma felt a sudden pain through out his body. Soon he fell onto the floor as he started to vomit blood.
"Aaah!!!! This poison is a lot stronger than the one you used on Rui's mountain. The mixture can adapt to every demon. That's what that man said......"
"So they do share information. Poison is a double edged sword."
Soon Shinobu saw that Douma stopped coughing as he slowly stood back up. One of his eyes was bloodshot as he had a smile on his face.
"Oh, it seems i manage to decompose your poison. Sorry about that. And you worked so hard on it. Oh man, this is so much fun! Getting attacked with poison is so interesting. Do you think your next mix of poison will work? Give it a shot?"
"Fine with me. I won't stop until you drop dead."
~With Yozora~
As Muichiro ran with Yozora and Gyomei, he looked at the moon pillar with a bit of concern. He knew that in situations like this, Yozora would worry about the safety of others. As he looked at his cousin, he began to ask him.
"Yozora, are you worried about Shinobu and the others?"
"Of course i am, though i have no reason to. After all, there are two people i trained just for this moment. I may not look like it, but even i have a trick or two up my sleeve."
~With Shinobu~
"Breath of Insect, Dance of the Dragonfly:Compound Eye Hexagon!!!"
Shinobu attacks Douma in six different areas of his body as she injects poison in each area she struck. She did this in quick succession as she jumped over the demon afterwards.
"You're fast! Maybe the fastest hashira i've met so far."
Suddenly blood sprayed from the left side of Shinobu's body. She fell to the ground as she held her shoulder. Soon Douma began laughing.
"You should've cut off my head instead of using poison. If you did, you could've beat me. Then again, probably not since you're so small."
Shinobu's eyes widen as she looked at her hands. Why didn't she grow taller, why were her hands so small. Arms and legs.....the longer they are, the more muscles they have. Why? Why couldn't she be strong enough to decapitate a demon? If she was, she could've killed the demon in front of her.
"Why am i so small? I envy Himejima. When he comes to the rescue, everyone can breathe easily. I even envy Yozora. He constantly grows and hones his senses, its almost like he never has a limit. I'm sorry Yozora, looks like i won't see the future that you promised we'll see when this was all over."
"Breath of Water, Tenth Form:Constant Flux!!!!!"
A swordsman performed a continuous attack that increased in power with each rotation, creating a powerful slash. As this happened, Douma saw that his left arm was sliced off as a new opponent entered the scene. As Shinobu looked behind her, she was in shock when she saw who helped her.
"Don't think i saved you out of good will. A certain moon pillar heard your idea, so he trained me to help you deal with this demon. Despite how he looks, Yozora can be real selfish. You should've seen how furious he was when he told me about your dumb plan."
"Huh, never thought i would be helped by you of all people."
As Shinobu turned around, she saw the person who helped her a lot more clearly. She remembered that voice and face all to well. As the girl smiled, she said one thing to Shinobu.
"Get up, we got a demon to eradicate after all."
