VK POV
Later that night, the girls traveled a door over to the boy's dorm room where Jay was emptying his pockets of everything he had stolen, Carlos was playing a virtual reality like video game, and Harry was just zoning out laying on his new bed, just glad to be away from the cruel life of the Isle.
Mal went over to Jay and asked him why he would steal anything if he could just take it all when they take over the world. Evie made a comment about Mal sounding like her mother which she of course took as a compliment. Then as Jay took over the video game and Carlos watched, Mal huffed,
"Guys! Do I have to remind you why we're here?"
She said as she looked at Jay,
"Fairy Godmother, blah blah blah. Magic wand, blah blah blah"
He said which made him and Carlos laugh, Harry chuckled and slowly sat up,
"So ye are plannin' on stealin' the wand eh?"
He said, the group looked at him,
"Oh yeah, forgot you were here"
Mal said quickly dismissing him. He began laughing obnoxiously,
"All of ye are the worst at keepin' it on the down-low"
He said as he wiped his eyes of the tears he had laughed and sighed,
"What do you mean?"
Mal said, suddenly very nervous and on edge,
"Either all of ya are terrible at keeping a secret or the future queen is very smart lassie"
Jay chuckled and smirked as he crossed his arms,
"A pretty one at that, that Audrey chick isn't too bad looking either"
Harry looked at him and raised his finger up and shook it at him,
"Classic Jay, always only lookin' at the outside of a lass instead of paying attention to the more fine details and her personality. That's where it really matters, even though I will say, the princess is a very fine-looking lassie"
Mal quickly walked over to Harry, followed by Evie,
"Both of you shut up about how much you both find the princess attractive, what do you mean we're bad at keeping a secret?"
Harry swung his legs over the side of the bed and looked up at Mal and Evie,
"I'll tell ye if ya tell me what yer plan is for stealin' this 'ere wand"
Mal huffed and crossed her arms, cocking a leg at the same time,
"Why should we trust you hm? Part of Uma's crew, we know how you like to run things"
Harry narrowed his eyes at the name,
"I came ta Auradon ta get away from that life, so this is just villain to villain, now what's yer plan eh? I'll tell ya what I know if ya do"
He said in a snarky tone, Mal huffed,
"Fine. Our parents want us to steal Fairy Godmothers wand and take down the barrier to let all the villains out so we can take over the world"
Harry's eyes widened some in some minor surprise,
"Well, that's a lot ta take in at once"
"That doesn't matter, now what do you know?"
Mal said as she got more intense with her tone,
"The princess noticed that ye mentioned the wand three times just since ye've been 'ere, asked me if I knew anythin'"
Mals eyes widened some and turned to the gang,
"Hold that thought"
Mal grabbed Evie and made Jay rip away from the video game. They made a huddle and Harry just laid back down as he was before,
"We have to bring Harry into the gang"
Mal whispered in the huddle,
"What are you crazy? He's one of our enemies!"
Carlos whisper yelled,
"Not to mention he's literally crazy"
Evie added,
"And we don't exactly get along the best"
Jay continued,
"Guys, the fact that the princess asked him what we were up to means something right off the bat. It's obvious she was observant enough to already be on our tail, it's obvious that she's smart. Knowing that we should be able to imply that she'll tell Ben what she notices so we're currently in danger of being caught. We're gonna have to be on our toes with her and the prince, but for whatever reason, she asked Harry of all people if we were up to something. We need him on our side"
Evie added somewhat reluctantly, but she knew it had to be done,
"That's the smart thing to do"
The boys reluctantly agreed and they all in unison turned back to Harry. He sat up and raised a brow as all of them were staring with him,
"What did I do?"
He murmured,
"Hook, we're inviting you to the gang. Help us achieve world domination"
Harry immediately furrowed his brow and stood up,
"Uhm this was a sudden change of heart that I don't trust"
He said as he skeptically eyed down the group,
"Harry, you said it yourself, villains with villains. This is the best of the worst you're gonna get in Auradon"
Evie said. Mal looked at her and slowly nodded, crossing her arms and slowing looking back to Harry,
"So, what do you say? This is the one chance you have to show your father that you're evil, vicious, ruthless, and cruel. Yeah?"
She said with a more stern face. Harry gulped,
"Sure, I'm in. On one condition"
He said as he sauntered over to the group,
"Go on"
Mal said as she put her hands on her hips,
"If this all goes down the wrong way, ye most certainly won't be including me in it"
Jay scoffed,
"Coward"
Harry growled some at him and got in his face some,
"Or maybe I'm simply keeping my options open. This place is a whole lot better than home so if this all hits the fan I will most certainly not be going back there"
Carlos grabbed Jay's shoulders and pulled him back some,
"Now that that's sorted, let's get to it"
Mal said as she walked over to a table. Evie sat next to her, Carlos stood up next to Evie and opened a computer and Jay leaned over Mal and Evie's shoulders. Harry simply stood on the other side of the table leaning with one hand on it,
"How do we find out where it is?"
Jay asked,
"Ask yer mirror"
Harry said to Evie. She smiled and pulled it out,
"Good idea, mirror mirror on the- in my hand..."
She corrected,
"... where does Fairy Godmothers wand... stand"
She smiled as the wand appeared on the mirror,
Mal said excitedly but coldly,
"There it is"
"Zoom out"
Carlos added before going back to the computer,
"Magic mirror, not so close"
The mirror proceeded to zoom all the way out onto a shot of the entire world. As Evie sat there and made it zoom in little at a time, Harry stood to tap his fingers on the table. He was interested to see how this would go down, that's why he even agreed to this in the first place,
"Stop!"
Jay yelled which made Harry jump some out of him not paying attention,
"There it is, it's in a museum. Carlos, can you find where this is?"
Carlos typed into his computer before swiveling it around and showing it to the group,
"Yup, it's 2.3 miles from here"
Harry looked at the computer,
"Not bad pup"
He said with a smirk. Carlos looked up at him and was about to say something when Harry beat him to an intense somewhat crazed look. Carlos immediately turned away from that, who wouldn't?
"Let's get going"
Mal said quickly standing up and grabbing her spellbook. Evie put her mirror in her bag and headed out right after her, Jay following. Harry swept by his bed and grabbed his jacket that he had laid on it and slipped it, swiftly zipping it shut before and grabbed his hook, not bothering to grab his hat since he knew how to sneak into a place, the key is to not bring anything extra. He went halfway out the door before turning to Carlos that had started playing the video game again,
"Aye pup are ya comin' or what?"
He whispered with some hiss to his voice. Carlos nodded and dropped the controls, grabbing his jacket. Harry then quietly turned and ran after the rest of the group, Carlos following him.
They got to the museum, Evie's magic mirror leading the charge. They got to the door closest to the wand, one with the infamous spinning wheel right in the entry, a security guard set up behind it. They all looked in the window, either watching the security guard or staring at the spinning wheel it depends on who it was. Harry noticed the security guard slowly spinning around the cameras, he ducked to everyone's confusion but they quickly understood that Harry is well versed in this. They looked back to see the guard almost looking at them. They all moved to the side to get out of his immediate view. Harry chuckled at their rush. They slowly peaked back in to see he was turned around again. Mal flipped through her spellbook,
"So that's Maleficent's spinning wheel?"
Jay said with a laugh,
"Seems kinda dorky to me"
Carlos added. Harry sighed,
"The thing put a person in a hundred-year slumber, I wouldn't make fun of it if I were ya"
Mal slowly looked up at him with a side smile,
"That's the most factual and reasonable thing you have ever said I can guarantee"
He just rolled his eyes,
"Don't talk ta me, just find yer spell so we can get this over with"
He huffed. She rolled her eyes too, looking back to her spellbook and finding the page she needed,
"Magic spindle, do not linger. Make my victim prick a finger"
Nothing substantial really happened, the security guard only stood up,
"Impressive"
"I got chills"
Jay and Carlos said,
"Add the sleeping part of it"
Harry murmured as he cautiously looked around. Mal nodded,
"Prick the finger, prick it deep. Send my enemy off to sleep"
The security guard slowly stood up and began his walk to the spindle. Harry signaled everyone to duck some since he's not in a trance, the spell only gave him the urge to prick his finger after all. He slowly raised his hand and tapped the end of the spindle, pricking his finger. He took it back and flicked it once, then the sleepiness set in. He went ahead and laid down on the platform in which the spinning wheel sat,
"Not so dorky now, huh?"
Mal said as she attempted to pull the door open, alas it was locked. She jiggled it around a few times,
"Stand back"
Jay said as he started stepping back. Harry immediately stood in the way of the door,
"Easy lad, he's only asleep not out cold. We still gotta be quiet"
He said with a smirk as he pulled out his hook and spun on his heels, to face the door. He took the end of the hook and put it in the keyhole and pressed his ear against the door to listen for the magic click. He moved it every which way,
"Almost got it?"
Mal said impatiently, he immediately shushed her and ignored it,
"You know I could've kicked it in by now-"
Jay was cut off by the sound of a distinct click. Harry smirked and pulled the hook from the lock and easily opened the door, he chuckled and gave his hook a kiss. They all walked in, Jay whispering to Harry,
"If you love that thing so much why don't you just marry it?"
Harry rolled his eyes,
"Ah, so original Jay, actually I was thinkin' more on the lines of that lass yer already so interested in. Ya know, the Princess of Auradon herself?"
Jay huffed and rolled his eyes, turning away from him. He didn't have a comeback ready, so he accepted defeat as Harry chuckled behind him as they crept past the sleeping guard. He shifted as Harry and Carlos snuck by him and while Carlos froze, Harry simply slowed his movements and pulled Carlos along by the collar,
"Its painfully obvious that none of ye have done this before"
Harry murmured to himself, receiving some glares in the process. They all hurried up many staircases next, eventually making it to the Gallery of Villains. They all turned the corner and were met with life-size, crazy accurate versions of their villain parents and some.
They all looked in awe of their parents in their prime, Maleficent with her staff in hand, Jafar with his staff in hand, Cruella De Vil with her infamous coat with Dalmatians at her feet, Evil Queen with the apple in her hand, Captain Hook with his hook in hand and full pirate get up on show, Ursula with her tentacles raging in the sea, Hades with fire all around him, etc etc. They all looked in awe of the people that they either knew as parents or as people they just saw on the street here and there.
They all took a second to feel fear for their own parents before continuing, Mal staying behind for a second. Harry was not in the mood to see his father so he was the first to continue on his way. His dad didn't want him to go to Auradon, neither did his captain Uma. He went to Auradon out of his own free will, because he wanted to. He wanted that second chance and badly, he was just eager to get this heist over with so he could either rule the world and show his father and Uma who's boss or just try to live that normal life he wants so badly. He was quickly followed by the rest of the gang besides Mal of course,
"Evie, here"
He motioned to her to come and walk next to him so he could see the mirror, now becoming more of a captain and leading the way. She jogged up to walk next to him,
"Mal's back there-"
"I don't care. If ya wanna go and get her ye're leaving this with me"
He said grabbing the mirror from her, she was offended but took the opportunity to go get Mal. He looked from the mirror to the walls around him, using it as a map to find this treasure. Evie quickly rejoined the group with Mal, but she looked off. Like she was being bothered with something now, but that didn't mean that that bothered Harry. He just wanted to get this over and done with. They turned the last corner,
"Finally"
He sighed as he turned the corner first, handing the mirror back to Evie who immediately started cleaning it of course. They all went to the railing and stared at the wand in awe. Then Jay looked at the group and began crawling under the railing, Mal quickly trying to stop him,
"Jay don't! Wait, no!"
It seemed that everyone except Jay knew what the light around the wand was, its a force field with a siren attached of course. Jay went to grab the wand only to be forcefully shot back over the railing, a loud ear damaging level alarm began to blare. Everyone put their hands over their ears,
"A forcefield and a siren?!"
Carlos said over the noise,
"That's just a little excessive!"
Jay said back as he stumbled up,
"What are ya all doin' it's not a time ta chat we gotta go!"
Harry commanded as he turned and began to run, the group quickly following. Harry wasn't playing games, he slid down every railing and jumped down as many stairs as he could, making him the first one down while the rest of the gang barely skipped a step. Harry most certainly was the most scared about losing his second chance, so he was going to make sure he was going to get out of there as flawlessly as possible.
They got back down to the spinning wheel, Harry darting out of the museum without a second thought, immediately blending into the shadows as he heard the siren stop and the rest of the gang follow behind him right in his footsteps because he did indeed know the most about what he was doing,
"Way to go Jay! Now we have to go to school tomorrow!"
Mal angrily shouted at him as they made their escape. Harry turned around mid-run and shushed her, he's serious about this sort of thing.
They made it back to the dorm successfully, Carlos being the last one in. Harry huffed and took off his jacket and put his hook safely on his bedside table,
"I will never respect anythin' ya ever say or do ever again Jay"
He said as he caught his breath,
"Yeah nice one Jay, we were so close"
Evie huffed next,
"I will say, for not being much of a team player Harry you did do really well"
Carlos said. Harry chuckled,
"Its cause I've broken into places countless times without bein' caught, not even nearly unlike ya clumsy bunch of idiots"
After that he went into the bathroom, ignoring everyone, and called it a night. The rest of the gang also called it a night as they went back to their respective dorms to get a good night's sleep for the day ahead. Harry went to bed, secretly smiling that the heist didn't work out, he didn't want to ruin what he had just gotten, and that was freedom and that special second chance he'd always dreamt of.
