Eimi's POV
I sat nervously waiting for Ura and Bakugo's fight to begin while Deku came back from talking with Ura, along with Iida who was behind him. Deku moved passed me and Shoto and sat down in Ura's seat so he could talk to me or rant about anything that happens in her battle.
"So did she like the plan you gave her?" I asked while turning my head to look at him. "I thought it was pretty good." I added.
Deku shook his head no.
"She said she didn't want to rely on me to get by and that she'll do this on her own. I just hope she doesn't get hurt to badly since Kacchan won't hold back, even if she is a girl."
"Oh.." I said trailing off a bit. I felt a pat on my head and turned to see Shoto smiling a small smile, I sadly smiled back and looked forward just to hear Present Mic start to introduce the final match of the first round.
"The eighth and final battle in the first round of matches. He was kind of a hot shot in middle school. And just look at that determined face! From the hero course, Katsuki Bakugo." Present Mic yelled out, introducing Bakugo while the screens showed his face.
"What kind of face is that, he looks like he's holding something in." I heard Denki say aloud and I snickered.
"Versus, the one I'm personally rooting for, also from Class 1-A, Ochaco Uraraka!" Present Mic finished the intros and the crowd went wild around us. I looked down into the field to see that Bakugo's lips where moving while he made eye contact with Ura. I sat a little bit more forward as if that was going to let me hear what he was saying, though that wasn't the case.
I saw Ura kinda get surprised and then bunch her fist, getting a determined face on. I couldn't hold on much longer and was getting really nervous for her, so much that I jumped out of my seat and to the ledge. I tried to jump off so I could give her a hug and threaten Bakugo but I felt two strong arms hold me back at the waist.
I knew I wasn't going to get out of this so I yelled down in hopes that Ura would hear me.
"Do your best Ura! I believe in you more than anyone else here!"
Uraraka's POV
I heard Eimi call out to me and I looked up at the area where our class is sitting to see Todoroki standing and holding her by the waist so she couldn't jump off to come towards me. I couldn't help but smile at her actions as I saw Deku freak out and grab her arm to help Todoroki pull her back down into her seat. I saw her struggle a bit more until Todoroki flicked her forehead causing her to let go of the railing and hold her head instead.
"Shooottooo, why would you do thatt." I heard her whine as I saw Todoroki say something and she reluctantly sat back down but gave me a thumbs up before my attention was brought back to Bakugo.
"Let the eighth match begin!" Present Mic called out and I knew that was my queue to start.
I started running straight at Bakugo in hope to catch him off guard.
"Giving up isn't an option for me!" I yelled still running at him.
"And now you die."
I continued to run at him and I watched as he lifted his right arm back to counter attack. There! Here it comes! If I can dodge this move... then his attack hit me straight on. It blew me back a bit but I wasn't hurt. I stood up and wiped my eye to get the dirt out.
"Stupid. Saw it coming and I still couldn't get out of the way." I said to myself as the dirt cloud started to clear up a bit.
"You shoulda dropped outta the match." I could hear Bakugo say from not so far away. I quickly took off my jacket of the gym uniform to reveal my black tank top. Before Bakugo could do something to find me I threw the jacket towards him as a distraction, making sure to float it with my quirk so it wouldn't fall on the ground before he could realize its not actually me, but a decoy.
"There's no way you can beat me!" I heard him yell and an explosion followed afterwards, meaning that I successfully tricked him. While he was surprised that all he caught was my jacket, I quickly got behind him and went for an attack.
"Whoa! She flew her jacket over as a decoy!" Present Mic yelled excitedly into the microphone. "What incredible quick thinking!" He added on.
This is my chance, I can make him float! I thought as I cam up behind him, my hand was just inches away from his back before he sent another explosion at me causing my body to fly away from his. I fell onto my back but bounced onto my feet and into a ready position.
I saw him come out from the cloud of dirt and started to move towards him, keeping my body close to the ground.
"Too slow!" Bakugo yelled and threw an underhanded explosion right at my face. I gasped as I was thrown away and into the ground. As the area cleared I came running up behind Bakugo while yelling.
"I've got you!" Holding my hand out to touch him, he quickly turned around and created another explosion in my direction. Every time he blew me away, I got right back up and charged at him, only for him to blow me away again.
"This isn't over yet!" I yelled and charged at him again, with my hand straight out in hopes to graze his clothes. Once again, I got blown away but then started to come up with a plan. I kept my body closer and closer to the ground in order to get him to keep blowing up the area around us.
"Looks like she's not resting between attacks despite being exploded. The poor girl." I heard Present Mic say into the microphone, continuing with his commentary.
As I used my quirk more and more, the slower I got, but I still continued with my plan.
Bakugo's POV
I kept blowing Pink Cheeks up every time she came at me, not giving her a chance to touch me with her quirk.
"Hey, shouldn't one of the teachers step in?" A damn extra called out in the direction of Cementos.
"Yeah, this is too rough." Another one added on.
I payed no attention to them and stayed in my fighting position, ready for when Pink Cheeks comes at me again. She was starting to attack slower each time she came at me. Must be close to her limit. I thought as I sent her flying with another explosion.
"This is shameful. Listen, kid, you really wanna be a hero? Then stop acting like a bully. If you're so good, just send her out of bounds." Another hero in the seats called out. I just payed attention to the fight as Pink Cheeks came at me again, only for me to blow her away another time.
"Stop toying with the girl and end this match!" The same hero called out again.
"Yeah, you heard the guy!" A female extra added onto the others statement. Soon after those comments the stadium started to boo my actions, as I stayed focused on the match ahead. Who cares what those extra's think. I scoffed to myself.
"The crowd is now booing Bakugo!" Loud Mouth Parakeet said. "And honestly, I kinda agree with what they're sayin-" We heard a crash sound coming from the booth. "Hey, whoa-- what the crap?"
"Where is the man who started this uproar? Are you a pro?" I heard Mr. Aizawa take over the microphone. "Because if you're being serious, you can go home and hang up your cape. I'd suggest looking into another career."
I looked ahead and made sure to watch what Pink Cheeks was going to do next as Mr. Aizawa continued his little rant.
"Bakugo's fierceness is an acknowledgement of his opponents strength. He knows she deserves to have made it this far, so he's making sure he does whatever it takes to keep her at bay and come out on top."
I exhaled a bit as I waited for her to do something. We're not finished. I realized as I saw her not back down. She's still standing. I watched as she wiped her cheeks. She's not dead yet!
"I think its about time." She finally said something and I got into a ready position.
"Thank you, Bakugo... For keeping your eyes focused on me!" Pink Cheeks said as she held her finger tips close to touching each other.
"What?" I said a bit confused. She then yelled and touched her finger tips together causing a bunch of rocks to fly out of the sky and towards me.
"A meteor shower!" Loud Mouth Parakeet yelled.
"Now you notice." Mr. Aizawa said, clearly annoyed.
I looked up at the sky of rocks and put my hand towards them. Making sure I held the hand I was going to be using my quirk on with my other hand, and let out a huge explosion causing the rocks to be scattered everywhere around me. I also ended up blowing Pink Cheeks away again.
Once the area cleared and I saw her panting on the ground I started to speak, while my hand was still in the air.
"I figured you'd have some sorta stupid plan to beat me. You are friends with that damn nerd, after all." I started to bring my arm down.
"It took him one shot." Pink Cheeks said in a voice of utter defeat.
"Bakugo bangs out a huge demonstration of power! He blasted apart Uraraka's finishing move and remains untouched!" Loud Mouth Parakeet yelled out as the whole stadium was quite.
As I brought down my arm, I panted.
"That was close." I said a little bit strained as my arm twitched from over use of my quirk. I watched as Pink Cheeks stood up shakily and I got back into a fighting position.
"All right, then." I said with a smirk. "Time for us to get serious. Uraraka!" I yelled out while I charged in her direction. While I was running, I watched her turn around and then trip causing her to fall to the ground.
When she hit the ground I stopped running and stood my ground.
"Uraraka is down!" Parakeet yelled out.
I watched as she struggled to get up and started crawling towards me.
"I can do this, I can still fight." She said in a pained voice. I got into a fighting stance again as I waited to see what she would do.
"I can. I will become a hero." I heard her faintly say before Midnight came up and checked if she was still able to go on. I couldn't quite hear what the last word she said was but then Midnight announced her unable to battle and that I was the winner.
Eimi's POV
I held my hand over my mouth as I watched Ura be carried off to Recovery Girl and watched Bakugo walk off the field. I decided right then and there that I would be going to see her as soon as I could and sat up out of my seat. I kept my mouth shut and ran past Shoto and up the stairs to go to the room that she would be in.
When I started to head to the stairs I felt someone grab my hand. I turned to see Deku.
"Oh, hi Izuku. Are you going to see Ura as well?" I asked him and he blushed while nodding his head. I felt him going to let go of my hand but I started to pull him along. I needed to hold someones hand after watching that match and it just so happened to be Izuku's at the moment.
We walked in silence as we came across the stairs leading to the arena entrance and Bakugo was coming up those stairs. Both Deku and Bakugo stopped in their tracks.
"H-hey, Kacchan!" Izuku panicked while his hand left mine.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" Bakugo yelled and Izuku started to stutter.
"Oh, well. I'm up next, so, you know. I was going to hang in the waiting room." He said nervously as he pointed at himself. "Um, also congrats on winning your match. See you 'round."
I just stood there dumbfounded at how nervous Izuku gets over being near Bakugo and watched him robotically try to walk away from the situation he was in while he laughed nervously away.
"It was your idea, wasn't it. That stupid desperate plan of hers. You would come up with something that annoying. If we end up--"
"You're wrong!" I yelled out, interrupting Bakugo and surprising Izuku because I'm guessing he forgot I was there over his nervousness.
"First of all, I'm tired that you aren't acknowledging that I'm here too, and second of all that was Ura's own plan! Izuku tried offering her a plan that could possibly beat you but she refused! If that fight was harder than you thought it would be, it was because of her strategy, not his." I said straight to his face and even poked him in the chest when I said 'not his', kinda pushing him back a bit.
I turned to face Izuku and saw a shocked look on his face and I walk away from Bakugo and took Izuku's hand in my own and started to drag him to the waiting room.
"Come on Izuku, let Bakago pout on his own time and not waste ours."
Izuku's POV
I just watched as Eimi defended Uraraka and even poked Kacchan in the chest. SHE POKED HIM IN THE CHEST!! I don't want to see her die at such a young age! Shoto would kill me if he figured out I could have prevented it! But to my surprise, Kacchan just stood there frozen in his steps. It was such a strange sight to see Kacchan shocked like that, but I'm just glad that no one is dead right now.
Eimi grabbed my hand and pulled me along to the waiting room.
"I'll at least walk you to the waiting room and then go find Ura and tell her you said hi." She said as she still continued to hold my hand. I blushed at the hand to hand contact and just let her drag me to the waiting room.
When we got to the waiting room and Eimi opened the door, I was shocked to see Uraraka standing there smiling while holding her hand to the back of her head.
"Man, I lost. Too bad." She said while she chuckled a bit.
"Ura!" Eimi shouted and jumped on her, forgetting about what she just went through.
"Eimi you shouldn't jump on her like that, after all she just got back from her fight with Kacchan!" I panicked as Uraraka laughed and hugged Eimi back.
"It's fine Deku, I'm okay now. Recovery Girl healed me right back up. But I guess I got a little carried away at the end thinking I had it in the bag. Dang it!"
"Uhh" I started.
"Jeez! I didn't realize how powerful that Bakugo was! He wiped the ring with me. Now I realize how much more training I have to do!" Uraraka frustratingly yelled before kinda spacing out.
"Uh, you sure you're okay? I didn't jump on you to hard now did I?" Eimi asked a bit concerned before I had a change to.
"Oh yeah, totally. I'm better than I expected!" She replied to Eimi's question and I heard her phone ring.
"Even if you lost, you always keep looking ahead to what's next, Deku." Uraraka said bringing the attention more over to me. "This just means that I have to work harder now."
"That's true..." I started to say nervously when I heard Present Mic yell over the microphone that Kirishima won the arm wrestle and is now in the brackets for the finals, only meaning that my battle with Todoroki was going to be in the next few minutes.
"Already? Well, I'll see you guys later!" I said while walking towards the door.
"Oh I'm sorry Deku, you weren't able to prepare since I was here." I heard Uraraka call out.
"No, this was perfect." I said with a smile.
"I'll be watching you." She said to me once again and I nodded and started towards the door again.
"Wait! You're match is with Shoto right?" Eimi called out to me while grabbing onto my arm, stopping me from leaving. I looked down to her face blushing a bit.
"Ye-yeah, it's with Todoroki." I replied.
"Ah! I need to wish him good luck! Sorry Ura, I'll see you in the stands!" She said she she ran out the door. "Also good luck Izuku! Don't beat my brother to bad, okay?"
"Uh-uh, yeah! Thank you. I'll try not too!" I said before she got out of ears reach.
Shoto's POV
I was walking towards the battle field when I heard fast pace foot steps and then a female voice calling my name. I smiled a bit knowing it was Eimi and before I had a chance to turn around, she crashed into my back, giving me a hug.
"Good luck out there Shoto!" She exclaimed while she let go of me, allowing me to turn around in order to face her. She smiled up at me with her classic big smile and I couldn't help but smile back.
"Thanks Eimi." I said with a little more emotion in my voice. That's been happening when I'm around her recently, and by recently, I mean just in the span of like an hour. She jumped up and hugged me again, this time her arms wrapping around my neck. I held her waist so she wouldn't fall and hugged her back. It's amazing at how high she can jump, considering our height difference. I thought while patting her back.
"Okay, I have to go now." I said while she pouted and reluctantly let go of my neck, allowing my to put her back on the ground. I patted her head and turned around to leave the hall and enter the battle field.
"I love you Shoto! Good luck again!" I heard her yell and I felt a warmth inside my heart that I haven't felt for a while, love.
A.N. Hello! Sorry for the wait once again! I hope you liked this chapter, I was quite fun writing in Bakugo's perspective on his first match. I haven't seen many do that, so I took it upon myself to do so! I have also received another fanart gift of Eimi but will be showing it at a later date that uses it more appropriately, since none of them are in their school uniforms or hero costumes for the next couple of chapters. Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENKIIIII! I did celebrate it today (I guess kinda yesterday now) But it was my intention that this chapter were to come out on his birthday so I could wish him one while giving you all an update, but this chapter just took too long to write in time.
