{a lot of things are different. Astoria&daphne are in the same year..etc}

Chapter One:

"WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL!" Astoria had screamed in her parent's face, before running off to her room, slamming the door shut. She was panting, but not from running, from the anger inside of her. She absouletly could not STAND the thought of that foul, evil, little monster Draco. She looked over at her half-packed suitcase. She could wait till tomorrow when they get on the train to scream at Draco, but why create a scene? She ran over to her bed and grabbed the wand, with a loud cackling noise, she was gone.

Draco sat in a large armchair at Malfoy Manor, twirling his wand in his fingers. He had just gotten the news about his arranged marriage with Astoria. He was lost in thought about it. You see, Draco absoulutely despised Astoria, and she despised him. He figured this happened because an offer for money was made, probably from Astoria's family. I mean, who wouldn't want to marry him? Just then, a loud cackling noise had made him snap out of his thoughts, there in the middle of the living room, stood Astoria Greengrass, he smirked. He had never really looked at her, but he had admit, she had gotten better looking. She had long, curly blonde hair, and peircing blue eyes. She glared at him and placed her hands on her hips.

He smirked, looking her up and down, knowing it would bother her. She scoffed and rolled her eyes, crossing her arms self-consciously. "Draco, I know you have something to do with this, and you know exactly what I'm talking about."

He sighed loudly, and stood up. "Look Astoria, I just found out myself. I don't know what it's about.. but we just have to deal with it."

She scoffed again, "Deal with it? No Draco, I'm sorry but I cannot just 'deal with it'. I am not, and I repeat, not getting married to you."

He shrugged, "There's no way out of it."

She glared at him, "I have my ways Draco Malfoy, You just wait and see." She heard a door slam, and turned quickly, then back to Draco, "We'll finish this conversation later." She waved her wand and disappeared.

The next day, Astoria tried not to think about Draco, and the way he looked. He had changed.. a lot over the summer. He looked really, really, good. She cursed herself for thinking that way. When it was getting close for them to leave, she made her way to her sister Daphne's room.

She knocked softly on the door.

"Come in." Astoria heard a soft voice say, she opened the door and smiled when she saw her sister sitting on her bed, her suitcase beside her.

"Hey A, come sit." Daphne said, patting the spot on the bed next to her. Astoria made her way over and sat next to her sister, things were silent for a moment when Daphne spoke up "How are you doing?"

Astoria shut her eyes, forcing back tears. "Terrible, it isn't fair." She leaned her head on her sister's shoulder, and Daphne let her stay like that, rubbing her hair, trying to comfort her.

"I'm sorry.." Daphne said in almost a whisper. Astoria felt a tear run down her cheek then looked up at Daphne. "It's not because I despise him.. I mean, I would still be mad if it were someone else.. it's not just fair, how they think they have a right to tell me who to love, and who to marry. Its amazing arranged marriages are still legal. I'm not ready for this Daphne.. I'm only 16, I can't do this. I can't." Her eyes were burning and her throat scratched with every word she said. Daphne pulled her into a hug, and fell silent. It was quiet. You couldn't hear anything except the sobs coming from Astoria's throat.

Daphne finally took Astoria's head in her hands and lifted it up, staring at her in the eyes, it looked as if Daphne's eyes were also watering. "If I could take this from you I would Astoria, I would take it faster than anything.. but i can't. And I know you're tired of hearing me say sorry, but I truly am. I tried talking them out of it, I did, but they wouldn't listen. I love you Astoria, and I hate seeing you this way."

The words Daphne spoke only made Astoria bust into more tears. She and her sister were close, and she knew Daphne would do anything for Astoria, and knowing that made her feel much better.

"Now, go dry your eyes.. we'll be leaving soon, and you don't want to look like that when we get on the train.. okay?" Astoria nodded and gave her sister one last hug, she stood up and made her way to her bedroom, and looked up into the mirror. She scoffed when she saw herself. Her eyes were puffy and red, and her makeup was running all down her cheeks. She quickly fixed herself, and came out looked good as new.

Daphne strolled into Astoria's room, "Ready?" She said with a smile. Astoria nodded, and grabbed her suitcase, her white cat, Anastasia, following behind her. She loaded her stuff in the car, along with Daphne's, and they headed toward King's Cross Train Station.

She kissed her parents goodbye and walked into the Station with Daphne, they pushed their trolley's together, laughing. Soon, all the thoughts of Draco left her, and she was happy.

"Yo, Futa Mrs. Malfoy!" She heard, she turned her heel sharply and glared, it turned into a wide grin when she saw her best friend, Isabelle Lestrange, standing there grinning. She screamed her name, not caring about the muggles staring, and left her trolley to run over and hug her.

"You ever call me that again, i'll kill you." Astoria said, still smiling, unable to be mad at Isabelle. Isabelle pushed her trolley next to Astoria's and smiled at Daphne. "Hey Daphe." Daphne smiled back at her. "Hey Belle." We were all friends, and all trusted each other.

"I have to tell you guys something on the train." Isabelle said, looking serious. My and Daphne nodded, knowing not to ask questions.

We boarded the train, We were almost at our cabin when Draco jumped in front of Astoria, causing her to stop. She glared up at him, "What do you want?" He smirked, "Just wanted to see how my fiancée was doing." Astoria rolled her eyes, and tried to shove past him, but he caught her by the elbow. She turned around glaring, he opened his mouth to say something when Pansy Parkinson, the slut of the school, came and threw herself at Draco.

"Hey Draco." She said in a high-pitched voice. "I missed you so much baby!" Astoria yanked her arm from Draco, glaring at Pansy and Draco. Pansy scoffed at Astoria, and pulled Draco's mouth to hers, forcing him to kiss her. Astoria didn't know why, but she smirked when she saw Draco shrug away Pansy's lips.

"Pansy I told you, me and you are done." Pansy scoffed and glared, turning toward Astoria, "She has something to do with it, doesn't she?" Astoria lifted her eyebrow challengingly, but Isabelle, pushed past her. "Excuse me, bitch, 'she' has a name, and it's Astoria. And you can either call her by that, or you can keep her name out of your mouth." Isabelle glared, daring her to say something.

Pansy, being the person she was, said something. "I can call her whatever I want, I'd like to see you try and stop me." Without hesitation, Astoria, Daphne, and Isabelle all pulled out their wands, Draco slipped to the side, enjoying the scene.

"You're really trying me Pansy, I think you've forgotton who my mother is, and I know you don't want to know who my father is." Isabelle said, point her wand at Pansy, Astoria and Daphne stood at either side, glaring. The train lurched forward, causing them to stand shakily.  A shock of fear ran through Pansy's eyes, before disappearing. She held her wand up and shouted  'STUPEFY!" at all three of them, causing them to stumble backwards. Isabelle got hit the hardest, and was thrown far. She stood up slowly, glaring.

Without a word or threat, she walked up to Pansy, held her wand at her and shouted 'CRUCIO!" Pansy fell backwards, shaking and screaming in pain, by now, half the slytherin cabin was watching, there faces frozen with fear.

Draco was the first to speak up, "Trying to live up to someone's name, are we Isabelle?" He leaned down to comfort Pansy, helping her up. She stood shakily. Astoria was frozen with fear, not able to move. Isabelle glanced at everyone looking at her, she turned and walking to the compartment we were heading to, and slammed the door to it shut. After a few seconds, people were going back into the cabins, knowing well enough not to say anything.

Astoria gave Draco and Pansy one last look, then slowly walked to the compartment Isabelle was in. She was followed by Daphne, she walked in and sat next to Isabelle, who had a blank stare on her face. Daphne sat with her legs crossed, looking down. Astoria looked between the two of them, silent for a second. "Is there something you guys want to tell me?"

Isabelle rolled up her left sleeve, revealing the dark mark. Astoria gasped, but Daphne looked as if it were nothing new. Astoria wrapped her arms around Isabelle. "I'm sorry." Isabelle smiled and hugged her back, then pulled away, "It's okay, it's not that bad." Astoria gave her an obvious face, and Isabelle shrugged. "I mean, I'll see my mom more.. and my dad, he's not Rodolphus.. It's The Dark Lord."

Daphne and Astoria gasped, and Isabelle smirked. The rest of the ride there was filled with laughs and gossiping about what had occurred over their summer break. Once inside the school and at the great hall, the sorting of the first years seemed to drag on, as did the feast. She was ecstatic when they were dismissed to their corridors. Astoria walked next to Isabelle, Daphne was with her boyfriend, Andy, Astoria glared at the backs of Draco and Pansy, Pansy was hanging all over Draco. Isabelle leaned into Astoria, "It's amazing how much of a slut she is." Astoria giggled, "She can at least hold herself to a higher state, instead of looking like a desperate pig." Astoria looked at Isabelle and they both busted out laughing.

Once in the common room, Astoria had decided to get into her pajamas, a tank top and soffee shorts. She walked sluggishly back down to the sitting area and plopped herself down on a couch. The common room was nearly empty, and she was happy she didn't see Pansy anywhere. She picked up a magazine and started flipping through it, she heard a whistle and glanced up to see Draco smirking at her. She rolled her eyes and put her head back in the magazine, her heart was beating fast, which was unusual. She did not-could not like Draco like that, could she?

He sat beside her and smirked, placing an arm around her, "Hey baby. I like your outfit." He said, scanning her body. She rolled her eyes and pushed him away. "What do you want?" He frowned. "I just wanted to see how you were." She sighed, "As if." She continued flipped through her magazine, her heart racing even more. He moved slightly closer to her, smirking. She glanced at him from the corner of her eye, then kept her head down, studying the magazine. "Why aren't you with your girlfriend, Pansy?" She said annoyed, not looking at him. He smirked, "Why, someone jealous? And she's not my girlfriend, no matter how much she wants to be."

Astoria straightened herself, "N-no I'm not jealous," she scoffed, and said quickly, "why would I be jealous? Besides, she acts like she is, hanging over you all the time.." She mumbled under her breath, "Pathetic." He looked at her, smirking. "She does? I can't blame her.. Can you?"

Astoria ignored her question, going back to dissing Pansy, "Not in a good way, in the way like 'oh my gosh, i'm so desperate, I need a boyfriend.' type way." She said, still not looking at him, her nervousness turned to anger against Pansy. Draco frowned, "Are you implying that not every girl wants to date me? I mean, they all want to kill you."

Astoria scoffed, "As if. I'd like to see them try and harm me." She glanced at him for a second, then looked away. He smirked, knowing he had gotten under her skin. "So.." he moved closer to her "want to give them something to attack you for?" he turned her head, using his index finger. She hesitated, looking at him for a second, then turned away. "N-no."

"You sure..." He said softly, trailing his fingers down her neckline. She gulped and bite her lip, staying silent. He leaned over and kissed the corner of her lip, letting his lips linger for a second, and smirked against her skin when she trembled. She bite her lip when he moved away, mentally slapping herself, she turned toward him once she regained herself, "I hope you enjoyed that, because that's as close to these lips that you'll get." He smirked. "Oh, I intend to get MUCH closer." He said, letting his eyes trail slowly up and down her body.

She rolled her eyes and stood up. "Where are you going?" She heard him say, she didn't look at him, just forward. "To bed." With that, she walked to her dorm, a slight swing in her hips, leaving his stunned face behind. She smirked to herself as she walked up the stairs, she could feel his eyes on her the whole way, unaware he was smirking also.
