Sami P.O.V.
My alarm woke me up in an instant.
I unplugged my phone from the charger and checked if I had any messages or emails.
"Ok, nothing."
"Well let's get ready then."
I got up from bed and headed to my bathroom.
It sucks that I live the furthest away from Sahana and Cassia, but thankfully not too far away.
I had to live in this area so I could be near where I work.
And I don't regret it whatsoever.
My apartment has a cozy feeling to it.
The daylight goes through my big window, spreading throughout my home.
And I could see the city illuminate at night, as the moon shines bright.
It's the perfect place to experience how the world changes every day.
I have several plants that I surprisingly am able to take care of and have simple decorations on my white walls.
It's just perfect for me.
But it would be more perfect, if I had a tiny pup with me.
Goddamn no pet rules.
I quickly made some pancakes for breakfast, and scrolled through my phone while munching them down.
Then I got a notification,
Sidharth: Good morningg <3
I smiled at the message.
Sidharth is my wonderful, amazing boyfriend.
We've been dating for the past 3 years now.
I met him at party that my law firm held, and we just clicked from there.
He fits perfectly with my personality.
He's everything I'm not.
He's always there for me when I need him.
He shows me love when I need it the most.
I don't know what I did to deserve a person like that in my life.
Me: Good morningg 😘
I finished my pancakes and went to get changed.
"Hmm, what should I wear today?" I swiped through the clothes in my closet.
"Ah, this is the one." I smiled pulling out a pink ruffled blouse.
I paired them with some white trousers and accessorized with simple jewelry.
Finally, the last touches of applying my makeup, I was ready to leave.
Driving to the law firm, suddenly I began to think about the day when Sahana, Cassia and I hung out.
"Jai and I are friends now."
I furrowed my eyebrows,
"They became friends that quick after that whole incident when he crashed her apartment?"
"Pfft haha I doubt they'll stay FRIENDS."
Shaking my head, "I know Sahana, she's one to fall easilyy." I giggled.
Pulling into the parking lot, I got out of my car and entered into the building,
"Let's get work done, shall we?"
I pressed the elevator button to go up and waited.
Then out of nowhere, I felt hands wrap around my waist from behind,
"Well hello gorgeous."
I felt a tiny peck on my cheek.
Resting my hands on the arms still holding me, I turned my head to see the man I longed for,
"Sidharth we're in public," I snickered in embarrassment.
"Ah come onn, no one's here."
"And besides, I don't care if people see me showing my undying love towards the woman who's mine and only mine." He kissed my forehead from the side, then let go of me.
Sidharth stood next to me as the doors opened.
I was about to enter when I felt his hands interlock with mine.
I eyed him and he looked at me,
"Is this better?" he winked and pulled me into the elevator.
"Do you have any important work?" I asked, while pressing the floor number and still holding Sidharth's hand.
He nodded, "Yeah kind of, just looking at a new case that I got. Do you?"
I nodded, "I have a couple calls to attend, and boss said there's going to be a new employee, so I need to show them around the building."
The elevator doors opened, and Sidharth turned to me, "Work hard today ok?"
I smiled, "You too."
He gave a peck on my lips and we separated ways.
"Oof that man had an attitude." I sighed after ending my last call.
"Samhita!" I shot my head up to who called my name, "Yes?"
It was my boss, "Come in my office."
I nodded before getting up and heading there. "Yes Boss?"
She smiled, "The new employee is about to come in about 15 minutes. I want you to introduce yourself and introduce the others to her, tell her where she's going to work, and show her around the building."
"Yes, of course. I can't wait to meet her."
I exited her office and plopped myself back onto my chair.
I checked the time: 12:00.
"Oo maybe I'll ask the newbie to have lunch with me?"
I snapped my fingers, "Yes Sami, make a good impression."
"Meanwhile, let's look through some documents like a true lawyer."
"Samhita! The employer is here!" I heard boss say.
"Oh, shit where is she??" I whispered to myself in excitement while headed to boss's office.
I opened the door and looked up to see a woman.
I stopped in my tracks,
I know her.
"Samhita," boss snapped me out of my thoughts,
"This is Ashley Arden."
My eyes never left her as she walked towards me and extended her hand, "Nice to meet you." she smiled.
Does she not recognize me?
"Nice to meet you too." I shook her hand.
"Ok well, I'm going to leave ya'll to it. You may leave now."
We exited the office as I showed her around the building, "Here's the area you're going to work in. Say hi to Ashley everyone!" I said as people waved to her.
"Let's go to the elevator, I'll show you more of the building." I smiled.
"Ok, sounds great." She nodded.
I pressed the floor number as we stayed in silence.
I subtly turned my head to look at her.
Ashley had long wavy brown hair that hit almost at the end of her back.
She had light-tan skin that glowed.
Natural makeup blanketed her face and her lips were filled with a nice rose tone as she continued biting on it, in nervousness.
Where have I seen her before?
The elevator doors soon opened, and I exited first.
I looked back at her as she walked out.
My eyes widened in sudden realization.
I knew who she was.
You were the woman in the elevator.

The one who ran out when you saw Jai.
"Is everything ok?" Ashley asked, concerned.
I shook my head, "Oh yeah everything's fine. Let's continue the tour, shall we?" she nodded and we began going around the building.
"Ok, that's it! How do you like the place?" I asked.
"It's wonderful!" she smiled.
"Awesome! Well I'm going to go do some work now, here's my number and you can text me if you need help with anything." I gave her my contact and we separated ways.
I suddenly felt my phone buzz and opened the notification.

Cassia: I THINK I JUST MET GOD
Me: WTF DO U MEAN BY THAT
Cassia: ILL EXPLAIN MORE

Me: yea I have to tell ya'll smth too
Sahana: OK MY PLACE SATURDAY
Cassia: DEAL
Me: cool
Sahana: SAMI WHY RNT U TEXTING IN CAPS ANYMORE IS SMTH WRONG

Me: yea yea IM GOOD
Sahana: U SURE?
Me: YES IM GOOD
Cassia: OK SATURDAY IT IS BITCHES
Sahana: SEE YALL
Me: BYEE
I sighed and slid my phone back into my pocket, but then felt it buzz again.
I groaned, "Jesus what now?"
I took it out and saw a message from a number.
Hey this is Ashley
We have met before haven't we?
