We all stepped foot in the entrance looking around at all the people dressed to the nines drinking champagne. I wondered if they knew who they were celebrating, who they were sharing a room with. Maybe they were compelled who knew, but I had a bad feeling not all of them will make it out of here tonight. My arm linked with Damons we all stand in the doorway, not really wanting to move, I turn to look at Elena who was linked with Stefan and we share a look
"you ok?" I ask and he shrugs her shoulders
"Don't think I ever will be" she says and I giver her a sad smile.
"Right" Stefan says and we all move out of the way and made a circle "we all know the plan, circle round mingle for a bit, stay for the first toast then leave. We are here to show face, if you see one of them walk the other way" we all nod, I felt Damons arm tense around mine so I turn to him and kiss him cheek to reassure him. We decided the groups before hand
Ric, Bonnie, Jeremy, Damon
Caroline, Matt, Stefan
Me, Elena, Tyler
I give Damon a quick kiss before
"it'll be ok" I say and he looks at me not convinced I wink before grabbing Elena hands and we begin our route.
I watch Damon put a hand on Ric and they walked in the opposite direction.
We have been here for about 10 minutes now and so far we haven't bumped into any of them Elena stopped a waiter and we all got champagne, we decided we were just going to wait beside the bar.
"so good so far" Elena says and I nod
"that worries me, that nothings happened. I have a bad feeling" Tyler says and i nod looking around to see if I can see any of the others.
"have the others notices anything?" i say then Tyler replies
"Matt saw all four of them head into a room alone about 10 minutes ago and they haven't come out yet" 'I look at him
We decided to talk about something else for a while to take our minds off the imminent threat we are waiting for.
We were reminiscing about childhoodA voice says and we see Matt, Caroline and Stefan walk over. Stefan goes to Elena and I move next to Ty to make room for the other.
"They left the room 5 minutes ago and we lost track of them, have you seen them?" Caroline says and we shake our heads then Tyler says
"Klaus is walking this way" we all turn to that direction as he reaches our group
"look at the gang all together, I'm glad you accepted the invitation. It's going to be an exciting evening" he says. He looks at us all until his eyes land on me, i have never met Nikalus mikaelson before because Damon always made me stay back on the mission. he is just like they describes
"you must be Y/n, it's a pleasure to meet you. You look just how my brother described you" as he says that I felt a shiver down my spine, where the fuck is Damon. Tyler must have read my mind because I felt him inch closer.
"do we need to be prepared for anything?" Stefan asks and Klaus laughs
"and why would I tell you that?" He says and we all looks at each other "just be prepared to out your dancing shoes on" He turns to Caroline winks then walking away and we all look at each other confused
"oh god no, I do not want to stay here for that" He says and we all nod
"I think we have been here long enough" Matt says and we all nod. We turn to see the others walking towards us
"what did he want?" Damon says and he walks over to me and wraps his arm around my waist
"thanked us for coming eluded to something and made us all uncomfortable" Elena says and I turn to Damon who is dead staring Klaus and Kol who are standing by the stairs
"you ok?" I ask and he replies without looking
"I just do not trust them, I don't like being here. I feel like we are pigs waiting to be slaughtered" he says and I jokingly reply hoping this will cheer him up
"hey, you saying we look like pigs" and he roles his eyes turning to me
"you know what I mean" He says
We all hear the clinking of glasses so we turn to the stairs Stefans mutters to us all
"remember we are staying for the toast then leaving" he says and we all turn our attention to the four on the stairs.
"Welcome everyone to our annual Mikaelson ball, we wanted to hold this to celebrate being back in the wonderful town of Mystic Falls. Even though we have been in and out of here our hearts have always been drawn to this eventful town, something is pulling us back here, you could almost say it's Supernatural?" Klaus says and everyone laughs but we all look at each other, it's safe to say we feel uneasy. Elijah continues
"I would also like to thank you all for coming to spend this wonderful fall evening with us, but my family would like to give special thanks to a few of our closest friends who have managed to make it out here tonight. They are standing over there" He raises a hand in our direction and the rest of the room turn around and clap
"fuck" Damon says and I turn to him
"what?" I say
"we can't leave now" He says, he squeezes my hand, Stefan and Elena move so they are standing next to us I ask
"why can't we leave?" I ask
"Because now the rest of the guests know we are special guests so they will notice when we aren't here" Stefan replies and we all turn our attention back to the stairs
"as you know our family have our traditions when it comes to these special events. One of them being dancing, so each of us will pick a partner for the first dance then everyone else please follow us through to the ballroom, Thank you" Elijah says
"That's new, they haven't done this before" Stefan says I turn to him just as Elena says
"Kol and Klaus is walking over here" Elena says and I turn my head and Kol makes direct eye contact with me. I look quickly to see Klaus taking Caroline then walking away, Caroline shares a look with me saying do it.
"Y/n, would you do me the honour?" Kol asks winking at Damon and holding out hand for me
"hell fucking now" Damon says as he tugs me behind him slightly
"Damon.." I say squeezing his hands
"No" He says again his grip on my tightening
"Damon surly you don't want to cause a scene" he flashes his eyes to Damon then turns back to me and Damons grip tightens on me. I squeeze his arm again before stepping in front of him and taking Kols hand which he links with his arm. Before we walk away he turn back to Damon and says "don't worry, I'll take good care of her" he says before leading us through to the ball room.
I can feel every eye on us as we all stand in the middle of the room, we face each other. He puts a hand on my waist and takes my hand with the other, I look at him and he just smirks back pulling me in closer so I am pressed against
"ready to dance love?" and I shrug my shoulders.
"do I have a choice?" I say and I hear him chuckle. The music starts and we begin to dance, I immediately recognise the piece
"is that Tchaikovsky?" I say and he nods
"Valse Sentimentale , your favourite right?" He says smugly and I sigh
"why are we here Kol?" I ask and he then sighs
"ugh why do we need to talk about that love? can't we just enjoy the lovely dancing and reviling in the joy I'm feeling in tormenting Damon" he says and I quickly look over to him and he is jsut dead staring Kol. I look to Caroline and Klaus who are in a heating conversation.
"so all of this is just to torment Stefan and Damon, you're using me?" I ask and he looks at me
"as much as that would be fun, the world does not revolve around them or you, can't enjoy just dance with a gorgeous girl he likes" he says and I look in his eyes and I can hear the music coming to an end
"ok then, if you like me promise me nothing is going to happen tonight, you have not planned anything" I say and as the music reaches its climax he spins me around, then dips me with his arms wrapped around my back and waist
"I can't promise you that love because then I would be lying" he lifts me up during the applause still holding me "I have one more question to ask you darling" he says and I try and pull away but his grip is too tight.
"Damon I think it's time to go" Stefan suggest and they all begin to move towards the exit, Damon not taking his eyes off you
"what?" I say turning my head to check where Damon was, I make eye contact with him as he is heading towards the exit and he mouths
"we need to go" I nod then turn back to Kol
"what?" i ask
"are you afraid of the dark?" I look at him confused then suddenly the lights of the ball room goes out and I feel a gush of wind and I get pulled somewhere. I get very dizzy and I don't feel myself come to a holt. Me and Kol are now in a room of what looks like a basement, I stare at him and he speeds me to the wall and I feel some metal around my ankles and wrists so I look down and I am in chains.
"don't want you to escape now do I?" he says brushing his fingers, i try to move away but because of my constraints it causes me to fall over. I turn away from him and I see an unconscious Caroline on the other wall tied up with rope.
"it's covered in vervain so she will be awake in a while" he says turning my head back to face him
"why are you doing this? I say trying my best to move away from him
"because when me and my family see something we want, we tend to get it" he says standing up. He begins to walk away but stops and turn back "hmm maybe before I go up I should get a little taste" he says flashing his eyes at me and sped in front of me. He look down at the necklace on my neck and attempted to touch it bit hissed "vervain hmm" he grabbed it and ripped it of my neck and threw it away
"NO!!" i say and he grabs my neck causing me to choke
"don't utter a single word and don't move" I tried not to stare into his eyes but I couldn't look away, I felt a sudden haze take over my body and I couldn't move. I see the veins grow and he move my hair then bites. It hurt so much but I couldn't do anything, tears streaming down my face, he wasn't stopping and his grip on me was getting tighter. I could feel my life being drained from me and my eyes were getting droopy, they kept closing and I was fighting to stay awake.
My head started to droop so he pulled away and wiped his mouth. Just when I thought it was over his eyes turn again and he lunges and just starts biting my skin, leaving marks all over my body. Because I have lost so much blood I don't even flinch.
"hmm you were tastier than I imagined darling" he says as he moves away, he lifted my head up "I should go deal with your boyfriend, but I will be back to finish you off" He said letting my head fall then he walks away. I try to keep my eyes open but I give in to the darkness
Meanwhile upstairs Thirds POV
When the lights went out in the ball room everybody got flung back by some sort of magic, since the gang were near the exit they all got flung outside the mansion and hit the gravel. They all sit up shocked and see the lights are back on. Damon flashes up and tries to speed through the door but gets flung back again.
"the fuck?" He says trying again but to no avail.
"that blast must have put up a barrier" Bonnie says lifting her hands up to try and get it down but she can't "it's too strong, someone powerful must have put it up"
"but Caroline and Y/n are till in there can you see them?" Matt says and they look around
"they seem to be missing along with the originals" Bonnie says
"hey Bonbon aren't you meant to be some sort of special which, Bennet? right?. So why don't you put your witchywoo powers to good use and close this fucking barrier?" damon says angrily
"it's too powerful" she says through gritted teeth
"did I ask?' Damon says
"hey leave her the fuck alone man?" Jerermy says walking up to her
"oh look the boy can speak and I wasn't talking to you"
"that's enough, if we want them back we cannot turn on each-other" Elena says and Damon roles his eyes. "maybe they got blasted out as well just in a different direction, I mean the rest of the guest have run for the hills so shouldn't be hard to spot them" Elena says and Stefan speaks up
"ok I will do a quick lap, Damon the same, Ric and Tyler stay here with Bonnie and try and think of any spells that could work. Elena go with Jeremy and Matt and go back to the boarding house, they might have zoomed back there and are waiting for us there" They nod and run back to Y/n 's car and get in because Elena had her keys.
Damon and Stefan do I quick lap before meeting back at the front
"you sent them away on purpose didn't you" Tyler says and he nods
"I can hear her heartbeat so Y/n is definitely in the house" Stefan says
"It's weak" Tyler adds and Damons blood boils
"KOL YOU BASTARD COME OUT" as he bangs on the barrier. They all look to see appear in their view, as he is walking towards them he is wiping is lip and liking red liquid off his fingers. They all get a wif of the blood and Damon digs his nails into his hands trying to control him self. Ric sees this and puts a hand of the shoulder
"I can see we have the same taste in woman Damon" He says smirking "and she is delicious" he continues and Ric can feel the rage coming of Damon
"oh you have crossed the fucking line" damon seeths
"why are you even back, is it just to torment us" Ric says and Kolo scoffs
"no we have some actual business that needed taking care off. Which we have done now, this was just for fun. We were originally just going to leave after we finished what we came to do we, but I saw Y/n and then I just couldn't leave. She is breathtaking" Kol says.
Damon had heard enough and he went to bang on the barrier but his hand went straight through. He was confused for a second but turned to bonnie who was resting in stefans arms with a bleeding nose. Damon mouthed a thank you then launched himself at Kol.
Y/N POV
I feel very light headed as I regain consciousness, I try and lift my head. I start to hear my name and I use all my strength to lift my head and I look to see a worried Caroline looking at me. I lok down and I am covered in my own blood.
"oh thank god you're awake. your heart beat is so low, what happened to you" she says trying to wiggle out of the chains but hissing
"please, it its ver vervained. Don't hurt yourself" I say weakly and she sighs "Kol i is w what happened" I say
"ugh I can't believe them. They have no manners" she says trying to crack a joke and I laugh weakly "did they really need to kidnap us, and tie us up. Did they think it would make is like them?" she says and I shrug
"Kol said when they see something they like they get it, I think they are going to t ta take us with them. T to New Orleans" I say my head drooping again.
"oh hell no, there is no way I am going anywhere with them" she says and she pauses for a moment. She looks at me
"oh god y/n I'm so sorry, h he hurt you" she says and tries to move again but hisses.
"care, it it's ok. it's not your fault" I sat trailing off
"hang on" she says "wait I can hear Stefan and Damon they are still here, but Damons fighting someone"
"oh no, is he he hurt?" I say weakly, I cannot stand the thought of him injured at my expense I say tryng to move but I can't,
"I need to close my eyes again" I say and Caroline says
"Y/n please stay awake for me" she says and I nod but once again I am surrounded by darkness
Care POV
"fuck!" I say. I listen back to her heart which is so weak, I have an Idea I just hope it works
"Stefan! Stefan!" I whisper shout just hoping he is listening in
"Caroline, are you ok?" he replies
"yeah I'm fine, I'm just tied up in vervain laced ropes. But Kol bit Y/n and almost drained her, her heartbeat is so low she's bleeding "I say
"we can hear it, There is a barrier all around the compound so we can't get it, Bonnie managed to drop is so Damon could get in. He's currently fighting Kol. Do you have any idea where you are?" he says and I look around
"we are in one of the basement rooms but that's it" I say and I don't hear anything for a moment. But I get interrupted by Klaus entering the room, I stare at him and we walks ver to me and rips the chains off me. I stand up staring at him confused and I go over to help Y/n but he holds me back
"once you're out this room turn right and head straight ahead until you reach a set of stairs. Head up there and throw the door you will enter the back garden. Then head round and you will be with your friends" He says as he reaches down and rips the chains of her
"why are you doing this?" i ask and I pick her up and he looks at me
"even though I don't show it I care about you Caroline and I would never intentionally do anything to hurt you" he says as he walks away. I stand there stunned for a moment before speeding in the direction he pointed at. Once I got to the door I kicked it down, I walked outside to see we are in the garden. I look to either side
"stefan? can you hear me?" I say hoping he can hear, because it's too risky for Kol to see her
"Caroline what is it?" He says
"me and Y/n got out, we are round in the back garden. I don't want Kol or Damon to see her like this" I say and instantly Stefan speeds round and takes her out my arms. I look down and I am covered in her blood.
"he almost drained her, I'm gonna kill him" He says
"I wanted to feed her but it's too risky" I say and he nods.
"Damon, Damon can you hear me?" he says and we wait and we get a mumbled
"brother I am about to murder a Mikaelson can this wait?" he says
"we've got Caroline and Y/n and we need to take her to the hospital so finish whatever you are doing and meet us there" he says then he turns to me "I'll take her now you gather the others at the front. I will phone Elena from there" he says and speeds away
Damon POV
""we've got Caroline and Y/n and we need to take her to the hospital so finish whatever you are doing and meet us there" once I heard what my brother said, my whole world stopped. Anger then filled my body. I stood up wiping the blood from my face and stared at Kol
"ready to give up?" he says flipped to chair legs in his hand and I laugh
"hell no" I say I speed towards him and Punch him in the throat, then kick him where it hurts which causes him to bend over. When he hunched over I hook his ankle which causes him to fall to the ground. I grab the stakes and starts stabbing and stabbing
"don't. ever. ever. touch. or. even. think. about. her, again. or. I. will. end. you" I say in between hits. When I see Klaus enter the room I stand up. I wink then speed towards the hospital, Y/n the only thought on my mind. Once I arrived at the hospital I walked through the entrance, people are staring at me, but I didn't care that I was covered in blood and that my suit was ripped I only care about my girlfriend. I walk to the desk and say
"I'm looking for Y/n Y/l/n" I ask and she just stares at me "now!" I shout and she jumps
"sir p please calm d down, a are you a r relative?" her shaking voice asks and just as I am about to strange this woman I hear a familiar voice
"Damon, your here!" I turn to face Caroline who is covered in blood "this way" she says and I run to her as she grabs my hand and leads the way.
When we get to the corridor I begin to hear her heartbeat, I see Stefan cuddling with elena and the others are either sitting on the ground or in the chairs next to them. Stefan, Ric, Tyler Matt and Jeremy are sitting outside her room. Once they see me Stefan and Ric stands up and walks over to me. Stefan puts a hand on my shoulder and says
"They have given her blood, and stitches but she won't be awake for a while" He says and I nod pushing past them. Once i get to her room I see Elena and Bonnie by her side holding each other, once I walk in the room they turn and see me. They stand wiping their tears to give me a minute. I walk slowly to her bed and look down at her pail complexion, she looks like she could be asleep. I go to take her hand and that's when i notice the bite marks all over her, rage takes over and I sit in the chair Elena was before. I let my eyes memorize every feature of her face.
"I'm so sorry this happened to you Y/n, you were never meant to get hurt because of me. I I failed you" I start and I take her small hand in both of mine "I I promised you I wouldn't let anything happened to you, and I let. Him. hurt you. I will never forgive myself" I continue not caring about the tears that are falling. I just care about her.
"Y/n, I have never in my fucking long life cared about anyone the way I care you. I love you so so fucking much. I cannot bare the thought of having an eternity without you in it. I love you" I say and I lean up to kiss her forehead. I am so lost in thought I don't notice Ric and Stefan enter the room
"We told the doctors that we were walking back from the part when she got attacked by an animal" he said and I nod
"they said once she wakes up she needs to stay here for a few days so they can keep track of her vitals and make sure she it fit to go home" he says and I nod not really paying attention to her "we said that the boarding house is her home" he adds and I look back to them in sloght confusion
"we knew she couldn't be in her house alone and you wouldn't let her, plus I also want to keep an eye on her" Stefan adds and I smile
"thanks bro" I say trying to lighten the mood which makes us all chuckle
"the others have left and asked us to phone them when she wakes up, but we are staying here with you" Ric says and I nod again turning back to y/n "what happened after we left"
"let's just say he is in a worse shape than her" I say, they smile as they grab chairs and sit down in the room. After chatting for a bit longer we all dose of.
Your POV
I take a deep breath and my eyes feel heavy, they start to flutter open but they adjust to the bright light. I feel something on my right ribs and I slowly turn my head to reveal my boyfriends head lying on my side. I smile softly and I look to see he is covered in blood, I slowly look around the room to see Stefan and Ric also in the room sleeping. I feel a warmth take over me as I feel so loved that I almost forget why I am in a hospital. I lift my hand slowly, because every movement takes all of my energy and I begin stroke his hair. I hear a hum come from his lips which brings a smile to my face.
He begins to stir and once he realises someone his stroking his hair his head shoots up and he turns to me, I smile at him
"morning handsome" I say and he grabs my hand and kisses the stop of it
"thank god your awake" he says and I smile
"I'd never leave you" I reply and he smiles.
"Y/n I am sorry i -" before he could continue I say
" Damon, stop apologising ok. I tis not your fault. I persuaded you go to and I was the one who danced with Kol, not you. And before you go on and on about the risks of being with you, I know. look at me" I say trying to make a joke but his face saddens and he stares at our hands
"Damon Salvatore, I could not care less about the risk of dating you or the fact that you're a vampire. I love you" I say and he smiles at me. I try to sit up on my own but I can't so he helps me
"I love you Damon Salvatore" I say as i lean forward and rest my head on his
"I love you Y/n Y/l/n" he says and I lean on and kiss him. Once we part I turn to see Stefan stirring
"morning Steffy" i say and he shoots up. He nudges Ric and walks over to me and gives me a hug.
The rest of my time in hospital I had my favourite men by my side, keeping me company until i can leave. Yes being involved in the supernatural got me in the hospital, but without that I would never have met my group, my family. and I wouldn't have it any other way.
