" Toolshed look out! " Human Kite yelled to his friend as Toolshed narrowly avoided a hit from a mutant sixth grader. " Thanks Kite" Toolshed smiled, the way his lips curved, exposing his perfect teeth making Kyles heart leap. Suddenly a spit ball came flying out of nowhere, and Stan dove onto Kyle to stop him from getting hit. Stan was hovering above Kyle on the ground, and he smirked, looking down at his friends freckled face before getting up and helping Kite with him. As they continued to fight, the pair couldn't help but sneak glances at eachother, usually resulting in hisses from their teammates. " KITE FOCUS" The coon shouted, snapping Kyle out of his daze as he landed the finishing hit on the last enemy. " Nice hit Kite! " Stan smiled, jogging up to his friend as he landed on the ground. " Thanks dude, you were pretty amazing today too" Kyle grinned back as they began to walk back to the base. " Oh I nearly forgot, this fell off your costume earlier. " Stan said, pulling a ribbon from his utility belt. " Damn, thanks man" Kyle said, taking the kite off of his back so that he could retie it. He tied the ribbon onto the string, attatching the kite back onto him as they continued to walk.
The next day at school, the two sat next to eachother at lunch. " Nah, Toolshed is the coolest hero by far" Kyle said through a mouthful of sandwich. " I think Kite is better" Stan disagreed. " You're both wrong, the Coon is clearly the best hero" Cartman interrupted, sitting in front of them as he put his tray down. " Mmhmmpf! " Kenny shook his head " Mmfpphmmion msss memmr" He argued. " Kenny, mysterion is an asshole, there is no way he is better than the Coon" Cartman rolled his eyes. " What's so great about the Coon anyways" Stan groaned. " Well, " Cartman began, cracking his knuckles. " For one, he is definitely the most handsome" The other three burst out laughing, making Eric scowl. " What? " He asked as they continued to laugh. " MMMFPHH" Kenny managed to say through his laughter, falling off his chair as he became a giggling mess on the floor. " SHUT UP KENNY HE IS JUST BIG BONED" Cartman defended. " Well who do you guys think is the most attractive then" He pouted. " Kite 100%" Stan smirked. Kyle felt his heart leap and he hid the blush on his face. " Why do you uh.. What about Kite is attractive? " Kyle asked curiously. " I love his freckles, and he is the best at fighting, and his jawline is amazing, and his eyes a-" Stan began passionately, before he noticed Cartman raising an eyebrow at him. " What are you gay for him or sommething? " He asked, making Stan splutter. " What? I uh.. I dont uh" Cartman laughed at the blush growing on Stans face. " Figures, what about you Kyle, who do you think is the hottest? " Cartman asked. Despite Stans embarrassment, he couldnt help but look at his friend, curious and admittedly hopeful that he would say toolshed. Kyle pretended to be thinking of an answer, but truthfully he knew exactly who came to mind. " Toolshed" Kite admitted. Stan couldn't help but smile to himself, if only Kyle knew who he really was. " We talking about hot superheros? " Clyde said, sliding his tray across to the four as he moved along the table. " Go away Clyde" Cartman rolled his eyes. " Well I think-" He began, before Craig came up behind him, grabbing him by his shirt and pulling him up. " Ok talk to you guys later! " Clyde yelled over to them as Craig dragged him back to sit with his group. " You're welcome" Craig said to the four as Kenny winked, blowing a kiss of appreciation that made Craig roll his eyes before sitting down at his own table.
Kyle laid in his bed at night, texting his super best friend. He sighed happily, holding his phone to his chest as he smiled. A loud beeping snapped him out of his daze, making him sit up quickly. He looked at the Coon alert, shooting into his wardrobe to get his hero costume. " GTG " He quickly typed into his phone as he threw it onto his bed, wiggling into the outfit and leaping from his window, gliding expertly to the ground. He tucked in stray ginger curls of his hair as he sprinted towards the Coon and Friends base. It was dark, and running through the streets this late was dangerous, but he knew that if the Coon had sounded the alarm, then someone needed their help. Finally he arrived, panting as he leant on the wall to catch his breath. His legs ached as he entered the base, frowning when he only saw the Coon. " What... What is it Coon" He panted, wiping the sweat from his forehead. " The Coon requires nutrition, go get me some cheesy poofs. " Kyle stared at him blankly, trying to figure out whether he was being serious. Suddenly, toolshed burst through the door, face red and looking equally as exhausted as Kyle felt. " Im here Coon! Who's in danger? " He coughed. " Ahh! Toolshed! I was just telling Human Kite about the mission, retrieve snacks for the Coon! Specifically cheesy poofs and mountain dew. " Cartman murmered the last part. Stan looked at Kyle confused. " Is he serious? " Kyles expression had turned into a scowl as he pinched the bridge of his nose angrily. " Coon, you fucking do this all the time. The coon alert is for EMERGENCIES ONLY" Kyle snapped. " This is an emergency" The Coon shrugged. Stan groaned, opening the door and turning to leave. " Where are you going toolshed?! " Cartman said angrily as Stan flipped him off, leaving the lair. Kite rolled his eyes, following Stan and sighing when he heard Cartman running out after them. " HEY YOU CAN'T JUST IGNORE THE COON! " Cartman yelled, grabbing Kyles hood to stop him leaving. Kyle heard a gasp as he stopped walking, his head suddenly feeling colder. Toolshed turned around, eyes widening as he covered his mouth. " What? " Kyle asked as Cartman let go of his suit. " JEW? " Cartman screeched, making Kyle freeze. He reached up to his head, heart dropping when he realised that Cartman had exposed his identity. " Kyle? " Stan asked. The three stood in silence as Kyles heart pounded in his ears. " Hold on, you called him Jew" Stan realised, and suddenly the focus was on Cartman. " Of fucking course fatass is the Coon, it all makes sense now" Kyle rolled his eyes as Cartman stared back in horror. He sprinted away, leaving Stan and Kyle alone. " Well I guess you know who I am now" Kyle said sadly as he pulled his hood over his face. Stan was still trying to process everything, but a smile was growing on his lips as he realised what this meant. He had been conflicted for so long over his crushes on two different people, but he hadn't known that they had been one person the whole time. " So uh.. You don't have to but.. Can I know who you are? " Kyle asked nervously. Stan met his eyes, and Kyle could feel butterflies in his stomach. " Just the person who has loved you since he can remember" Stan grinned. Kyles jaw dropped at these words. Stan removed his goggles slowly. " Hey Kyle" He grinned happily. " STAN? " Kyle asked in shock. Suddenly Kyle remembered what Stan had said, turning a dark red as his eyes widened. The two stared at eachother. Suddenly, they both burst out laughing. " This whole time-" Kyle giggled as he remembered their late night conversations about their crushes on the heros. " We thought we were-" Stan added " We both were crushing on eachother! " They both said at the same time, laughter fading into smiles. They both looked at eachother, Stan running a hand through his hair. " So,.. " Stan began. " Do you wanna be uh.. You know.. " He asked, suddenly becoming nervous. " Super best boyfriends? " Kyle finished his sentance and Stan nodded in response. " Hell yea, awesome badass super hero boyfriends! " Kyle laughed, grinning widely. " You're such a dork dude" Stan chuckled, blushing lightly. Kyle smiled at him happily, holding a hand out to his new boyfriend. " Wanna patrol tonight? " He asked. Stan laced their fingers together, smiling widely. He had a feeling that night patrols would never be boring again.
