Maddie had arrived in Italy alone. Chuck Bass had given her any and every excuse as to why he wasn't coming.
Maddie decided not to waste a summer abroad and traveled through Europe. Even met up with Blair in France and spent a week with Blair, her father and his boyfriend. She then traveled to Sweden for a few days before heading to Greece.
In Greece she stumbled upon the prince at a bar and the two had hit it off immediately.
They shared the same interests and same problems. Having parents too busy and wanting to lead more normal lives.
Maddie had spent the remainder of the summer weeks with her new boy, forgetting about a certain Bass who had crushed her heart.
Adrain, a sophomore at NYU had agreed to come to the states a few weeks earlier to attend a party with Maddie. Not just an party, the White Party.
Maddie figured it was a great way to introduce her new boyfriend to her friends.
