Some reminders (in case you forgot)
Arabella is Axel's dead mom.
Christian is Axel's dead dad.
The Scarlet Guardian Pack (aka the pack that Tyler is Alpha of) is part of the Guardian Triad and they kind of watch other packs to make sure that they are following werewolf law. I kind of hinted at them a long time ago.

I don't know why I felt like I was intruding. Maybe I was, but my curiosity as always got the better of me.
"Well, you know that your mother did not complete the Lunar Trials, yes?" Axel just nodded his head.
"And you know that your father's beta, John, had found his mate?" Axel nodded again.
"John's mate's name was Elaine, and Elaine's father was an Alpha. This man was terrible. For his bad conduct, the packs of the Guardian Triad forced him out of his position. Hence, Elaine, even though she was an only child and the rightful descendant of the Alpha position, never had the chance to be Luna of her pack, as the position was given to someone else. Some time passed, and her father was eventually killed by one of the members of the Guardian Triad for his actions.
Elaine started living life as a normal wolf, which was a struggle for her because she had Alpha blood coursing through her. This made it hard for her to submit to someone who was Alpha by rank, not by blood. Because the Alpha bloodline for her pack ended with her, she had to submit to someone who was alpha by rank. And she couldn't. So, she left her pack and started living life as a rogue before meeting John.
When John met her, knowing that she was his mate, he was infatuated with her and wanted to do everything to make her happy. But no matter what he did for her, he knew that the only thing that would make her happy was if she was a Luna. As a beta to your father, he knew that this was something he could never give her, which completely ate at him and slowly caused him to resent your father for being Alpha. The trust between them began to deteriorate and the bond of friendship was no longer solid.
Around that time, news broke out that your father met Arabella. They mated and got pregnant with you, and thus didn't do the Lunar Trials. The whole pack fell in love with Arabella and wanted her as their Luna. Once they found out that she was pregnant with you, they cherished the fact that you will someday be their Alpha.
However, not everybody believed that just because you are your father's son, you deserve to be Alpha. Very few people in the pack, like the Council, and the older generation, many of which are dead now, believed that since Arabella never passed the Lunar Trials, then she isn't a Luna, which means that her son can't be Alpha. One of those people was Elaine, and she made sure to plant that seed in John's mind.
A couple years after you were born, Elaine and John had a son, Noah. But, Elaine claimed that Noah should be Alpha instead of you, and was able to get the Council to side with her. You know that according to Blood Venom rules, for someone to be Alpha, their mother had to pass the Lunar Trials. But, to this law there was an exception. If the Alpha's mate was a descendant of an Alpha, then she didn't have to do the Trials and their child would be the next Alpha of the Blood Venom Pack. Essentially, if both parents would have been Alpha's by their own right, the child could not be denied the Alpha position. Elaine was an Alpha's daughter and John, because he was related to your father, also had Alpha blood, though diluted, the lineage was there. So, when she pitched this to the Council, the Council decided that Noah was more fit for the position of Alpha than you were.
However, your father refused this, and claimed that our bloodline is the one that has been the Alpha bloodline for thousands of years and by blood, the pack responds to our authority. So, nothing would stop you from claiming your position. All the pack warriors sided with your father, and your father's gamma and delta also threatened to reject John as their beta and definitely as their alpha.
This started to drive Elaine and John crazy, thinking that their son had the right to be Alpha. When your father finds out that your mother is pregnant with the new baby, he decides to throw a party to celebrate with the pack. They wanted to keep it a surprise, so no one in the pack knew what the party was for. The pack members just knew that their Alpha had good news for them. As your parents were setting everything up outside, Elaine and John and some of the Council members show up and tell your father that he has to either give up his position as Alpha or let your mother undergo the trials. At this point, your mother was more than four months along her pregnancy and your father wasn't going to subject her to the risks of the Lunar Trials, just like he refused the first time she was pregnant with you. They still gave her the option of doing the Trials, but both times she was pregnant and it would have not been ideal. When your father refused, John said that he is going to challenge your father for the Alpha position, and William seconds the challenge, allowing it to take place.
Obviously, John was not a match for your father. Your father had our Alpha blood. But as you know, challenges are to the death, so when Elaine sees that her mate is losing, she shifts into her wolf and charges to attack you. However, your father was quick to defend you and stopped her just in time. At this point, Arabella was too distracted thinking that you were going to get hurt to notice that John was charging on her. She tried defending herself, but couldn't and your father was occupied with protecting you from Elaine. So, your mother dies. When your father hears her cry out for him, he kills Elaine and John, and rushed to Arabella, but it was already too late.
The pack doctors try to save the baby, but the baby was too young to survive without her mother. So, she died as well. When the guests start arriving, they start seeing the aftermath of their dead Luna and Betas' bodies, and the whole pack goes into a depression.
And, that is what happened and how everything transpired which led your mother to die. The only people who know about your sister were the pack doctor, your father, your grandmother and I, and a journalist who your dad trusted to inform the pack."
I was shocked with all this information, and it felt like I was drowning in a sea of thoughts. But Axel just looked like he had a stone cold expression.
"So why didn't my father release the news to the pack about my sister?"
"That I don't know." Arthur replied.
"How do you know all of this, were you there?"
"Unfortunately, I wasn't and that's something that I will forever beat myself over. You don't think I would have interfered if I were there? But I know all of this because of your father's testimony, and the testimony of a few Council members who left their post after this happened, and this was also recorded on your parents camera."
"This was recorded?" I asked in shock.
"Yes, well, Christian and Arabella wanted to capture every moment with Axel, and this was around the time when Axel was starting to talk. So, they were recording everything. The camera was rolling because they were setting it up for when they make the announcement to the pack."
"Where's the recording then?" Axel inquired. Did he want to watch it. That would be terrible, watching yourself being attacked by a crazy lady, your mother dying, and your father killing two people.
"I don't know. But, I don't suggest it would be good for you to watch it if you find it Axel. That's not healthy."
"What happened to Noah?" I wondered out loud.
"The Guardian Triad sent him to a family that was struggling to have kids. The last I heard, he has found his mate and has a daughter now," Arthur explained. "I have been keeping tabs on him throughout the years because I didn't want him hurting my family because of what went on between your father and his parents."
"So, now, that I know all this, what should I do?" Axel asks.
"Well, you have all the information about the Council, and you know that they were a reason your pregnant mother died. You can use that to your advantage I guess, but I'm sure your father left you something a bit more tangible than heartbreak that you can use against the Council." Arthur said as he patted Axel's shoulder and rose from his seat.
"I need to go, this walk down memory lane was a little depressing for this old man," he chuckles sadly.
