"I was so excited for prom" you say as you wrapped yourself with your blanket.
"me too, I was excited to see you in a beautiful dress and dance the night with you" donghyuck says. you and donghyuck were facetiming. tomorrow was suppose to be prom but it got canceled. you were bummed out about it and so was donghyuck, along with all of the other seniors and juniors.
"this was going to be my first prom, I didn't get to go last year so im very bummed out about it" you sighed, donghyuck raised a brow.
"why didn't you go to prom last year?" donghyuck asked.
"I got really sick and couldn't go at all. I had to stay home" you say.
"aww baby, im sorry" Donghyuck says, you shrugged.
"things happen" you mumble.
"anyways did you eat yet? and how's jeno? is he doing okay?" you asked.
"yeah I ate, and Jeno he's doing a lot better, his leg healed so he's able to go to school now" Donghyuck says.
the two of you talked all night.

"morning mom" you sat down at the table as she puts the stack of pancakes on the table.
"morning honey" she says back.
"y/n! do you know what happened to my necklace that johnny gave me?" your sister Dahee asks as she enters the room.
"i dont know, last time I saw it Taehyeon had it" you say, Dahee raises a brow.
"why would he have it?" she asked, you shrugged. she quickly went to go bother Taehyeon.
"I love your sister so much but she's almost twenty-five and hasn't been able to look for an apartment" your mother sighed as she sat down in the chair next to you.
"just give her some time mom, she's trying. at least this time she's actually happy and has a healthy relationship because of johnny" your mom nods.
"im sorry about prom getting canceled, I know you didn't get to know last year and now you were super excited to go this year but you couldn't" your mom gives you a little hug.
"its okay, I'll survive without prom" you laughed.
"taehyeon! dahee! come eat!" your mom suddenly shouted.
"dahee i promise you I didn't take your necklace!" Taehyeon entered the dining room. he was followed by your older sister as well. the two bickering siblings sat down across from you and your mother.
"Taehyeon were you excited for prom?" your mother asked your twin brother.
"ehh not really. I was just gonna hang out with some friends there. I don't have a date" Taehyeon shoved some pancakes in his mouth.
"you'll get a girl soon tae, don't worry" Dahee laughs, Taehyeon just nodded his head.

you were in your room watching youtube videos when dahee bursts into your room.
"you look like an upset potato, why?" Dahee asked.
"is this about prom?" she questions, you nod.
"i know its stupid to be upset about" you heaved sigh. your sister makes her way to your bed.
"it's not stupid y/n. you really wanted to go to prom this year especially with donghyuck. prom is a highschool experience that you should experience. you know im bummed too. im bummed out how you and taehyeong won't be able to experience prom either" Dahee pulls you into a hug.
"but its okay, you could always have that same experience somewhere else" she smiles.
"thanks dahee"
"no problem but... like actually do you know where my necklace is?" you let out a loud groan.

"y/n do you have the answers to this worksheet?" you and your friend eunmi are calling each other to study and do homework that is due on monday.
"yeah ill send you a pic" eunmi nods. your phone started buzzing. it was donghyuck calling you.
"i'll be right back, hyuck's calling" you say, Eunmi nods. you end the facetime call and picked up donghyuck's call.
"you doing anything tonight?" he asks.
"hello to you too and no im not doing anything" you answer.
"alright so me and boys are throwing a prom. Jaemin rented out a really nice penthouse and we're hosting prom. you in?" Donghyuck asked.
"yeah im in" you were now a smiling mess.
"i'll pick you up at eight" donghyuck chuckles. the phone call ends and you call eunmi immediately.
"eunmi! jaemin is-"
"is hosting a prom i know! it's all over instagram! Jaemin just posted it and literally a ton of people are going! are you going too?" she asked.
"yeah im going too! i can't believe that Jaemin managed to rent out a penthouse and managed to get a lot of people to come in a matter of seconds" you say with an impressed tone.
"well he is popular" eunmi laughs.

"Taehyeon, you should come to prom that Jaemin is hosting" you entered your brothers room. he was on his tv playing games with his online friends. you sat on his bed and waited for his game to be finished before bothering him.
"taehyeon" you poked him once his finished his game.
"yeah yeah hang on, my sister wants my attention" he says before taking off his headset.
"what do you want?" he asks.
"you should come to the prom that Jaemin is hosting" you say, he shook his head.
"nah not my thing" he turns around to face his tv again. you swirl his chair around so he could face you.
"come on tae! it'll be fun!" Taehyeon gave you a 'yeah right' expression.
"just come to prom, you didn't go to prom last year either" you say, he sighs.
"fine i'll go" he turns back to face his tv.
"also y/n?" he says.
"yeah?" you raised a brow.
"if there's someone that you really like, should you tell them about it?" he asked, you thought about his question.
"describe how you like this certain person" you say.
"well, you really love seeing them. you really love it when they call you or even text you. you can't get them out of your mind no matter how hard you try. and there are times where you are scared to tell them about what you feel because you are scared that they'll judge you" Taehyeon explains.
"well tae, the way I think about it. if you really love this person, I would tell them that you love them and if they judge you because you love them. maybe that person is not one for you" you tell him.
"thank you y/n, that helped" he softly says.
"im guessing that you like someone" you giggled, he rolls his eyes.
"i don't, I was asking because Chan wanted to know" Taehyeon says.
"is he online? let me say hi!" you try to take your brothers headset.
"say hi and go" Taehyeon hands you the headset. you were saying hello to chan and every other online friend that was on. as you were saying your hello's, you notice Taehyeon's phone buzzing. there was heart at the end of the person's name. Taehyeon quickly went to pick up the phone and text whoever the person was. a huge smile is shown on Taehyeon's lips. his eyes seemed to glow bright and his cheeks became red.
"who is that?" you asked.
"oh its just renj-"
"oh would you look at the time! its time for you to leave!" Taehyeon quickly shoves you out of his room.

you breathed in heavily. you see your sister standing in your room proud.
"you look so emotional" you chuckled.
"I am because you're so beautiful" Dahee pulls you in for a hug.
"donghyuck's one lucky guy" Dahee giggles.
"y/n! someone's here for you!" your mother shouts from downstairs.
"go on" your sister opens the door for you.
you walk down the stairs to see your boyfriend and your mother talking.
"yeah im so happy to take her out to prom even if it's at some penthouse. I can't wait to dance and enjoy this beautiful night with her ms.park" donghyuck had the happiest smile on his lips.
"I promise I'll take good care of her" donghyuck's smile grew even bigger.
"donghyuck, thank you for loving my daughter" your mother gives him a warm smile.
"thank you hyuck for loving me too" donghyuck and your mother looks up to see you standing on the stairs. you could see the sparks in donghyuck's eyes. you could see his smile grow even bigger.
"you're so beautiful" he holds your hand once you had gotten down the last step.
"everytime I enter this house, you always somehow amaze me and I love it" donghyuck smiles, you place a kiss on his lips.
"thank you hyuck"
"you look handsome" you giggled.
"thank you y/n" he giggles as well.
"i'd hate to break this heart touching moment but can we get going?" you both turn to face Taehyeon who stood on the stairs as well.
"why'd you break this special moment?" Dahee shoves him lightly.
"because I wanna go" Taehyeon makes his way down the stairs.
"hi there Taehyeon, you look good" Donghyuck smiled at him.
"you too lover boy" Taehyeon chuckles and heads out the door.
"i love your brother, he's totally honest to what he wants to say" Donghyuck laughs.
"you two have fun!" your mother says, Dahee waves at you.
Donghyuck opens the door for you to get inside then quickly heads over to his side to get in the car.

"peace im out to go find my friends" Taehyeon says as he gets out of the car.
"oh and donghyuck, take care of my sister. please no babies tonight"
"taehyeon!" you shout, he shrugs.
"im just sayin" he quickly rushes inside.
"do you not want any babies?" Donghyuck asked, you stood there a little surprise.
"w-well not at the moment" you stutter which makes him laugh.
"just kidding, I already have one baby at the moment and thats you. later we can talk about our future plans" Donghyuck kisses the back of your hand and then pulls you inside.
"whatever you do, please do not trash this house because it is not mine!" Jaemin says through the mic.
everyone was having their own fun time. people were eating together, drinking punch with each other. taking pictures with the decorations and dancing on the dance floor.
"its the lovely couple" Jeno chuckles.
"jeno! im glad to see you up and walking around" you quickly give him a hug.
"yeah me too" he laughs.
"you look very beautiful tonight, hyuck's one lucky guy" Jeno whispers in your ear, you let out a little laugh.
"thank you jeno, you look quite handsome yourself" jeno smiles at your compliment.
"jeno you know where renjun is?" Taehyeon appears out of no where.
"I think he's over there by Chenle" Jeno points to the direction hes at.
"thanks!" he runs off.
"how did jaemin manage to get these decorations up in a short amount of time?" you asked.
"me and the boys all came and helped out, we barely made it in time" he chuckles, you chuckle as well.
its been two hours and prom is soon to be finished. a lot of people we're still here but some has left.
"y/n I need to talk to you" your brother suddenly yanks your arm and takes you out to a balcony.
"what is it?" you asked. he sighed loudly.
"im struggling" he says.
"with what exactly?" you questioned.
"asking the person I like" he mumbles.
"who is it?" you asked.
"it's uhm... look you cannot tell mom" he says.
"why not?" you asked.
"it's renjun. you know him my best friend. I didn't think I was in love but I know for certain that I am now. is that a bad thing? im struggling so much because im so scared of being judged. I have told no one that im gay because im scared. actually you know what lets just forget about this and-"
"taehyeon, everyone will still love you. no one will criticize you. no one will judge you. so please calm down okay? you're wonderful and anyone would love to have you. if you love renjun, you tell him then. I believe you can do it"
"im so glad I have you" Taehyeon pulls you into a tight hug.
"im not sure if i am ruining a moment but would you mind letting me talk with my girlfriend?" the two of you faced donghyuck.
"uhh yeah, I was just about to go anyways" Taehyeong smiled.
"thanks tae" Donghyuck chuckled and patted his back.
"no problem hyuck"
"hello beautiful" donghyuck wraps his arms around your waist.
"hi handsome" you laughed.
"how's prom going?" he asked, you shrugged.
"its going pretty good but there's one thing I havent been able to do" you say, Donghyuck raises a brow.
"and what's that?"
"having our first dance" Donghyuck's lips turn into a smile.
"im so thankful that you said that because..." from the inside, the upbeat music suddenly turns into a slow song.
"did you really prepare that?" you giggled.
"yeah but im not done yet" Donghyuck says, you got curious.
"look up" you looked up.
"what am I waiting for?" you chuckled as you looked at the empty sky.
"uhh hang on. chenle! chenle! the fireworks!" you glanced at donghyuck yelling at chenle who was standing near the doorway. Chenle frantically takes something out and then there goes the fireworks. the fireworks went on for about a minute or two. the last firework spelled yours and donghyuck's first initials.
"let's do that dance you wanted to do" Donghyuck held out his hand. you took his hand and he lead the dance.
"i really can't believe you did those fireworks for me" donghyuck had a proud smile when you said those words.
"im so lucky to have you hyuck" you placed your head on his chest and he puts his head on top of your head.
"i love you" he whispers.
"can i go back now or do I have to wait until you're finished dancing?" Chenle asked, the two of you laughed.
"you can go chenle" you giggled. after a long beautiful time of slow dancing with donghyuck. the two of you headed back inside.
"almost everyone's gone" Jaemin huffed out.
"im so worn out" Jisung groans tiredly.
"we're gonna have to clean you know that right?" Jeno says.
"it's late" Chenle whined.
"it's only twelve" Renjun says.
"it's twelve?!" Jaemin looks at his phone.
"okay that's the last of em" Taehyeon approaches you guys.
"you still coming over to my place for the night right?" Renjun asked Taehyeon.
"woah what-" Jaemin was shocked.
"are you two a thing now?" Jeno questioned.
"yeah, we are now going out..." taehyeon chuckles awkwardly.
"aww come here" Chenle quickly pulled the two into a tight hug.
"but you two can't go yet, we still have to clean up" Jaemin says.
"this place is a mess" Jisung muttered. it was a mess. balloons, red solo cups, paper streamers, bunches of candy, and confetti was scattered everywhere.
"I found a condom" Jeno held the golden packet.
"yeah we really didn't need to know that but thank you for that information" Renjun says.
"y/n did you know that this whole prom penthouse thing was because of donghyuck?" Jaemin says.
"what?" you muttered.
"oh yeah, donghyuck wanted you to have the best prom ever so he made jaemin rent out a penthouse and made the two youngsters go buy decorations, while i bought food and drinks. Jaemin and him did the setting up" Jeno says.
"you really did that? you didn't have too" you look at your boyfriend.
"well i wanted too because I love you" he gives you a long kiss.
"let's not swallow y/n and let's start cleaning up" Taehyeon sighed.
"this is gonna be one long night" Renjun muttered.
"let's play some music while we clean up" Jisung went up the dj station and plugged his phone in. the song that came up first was the 'my little pony' theme song.
"uhh"
"sorry sorry! my sister was on my youtube!" Jisung frantically changes the music.
"wait we'll be right back, I have something I want to do with y/n first" Donghyuck pulled you aside somewhere else where it was private.
"I would've done this when we were out on the balcony but it totally blew my mind because I was way to into dancing with you" Donghyuck pulls out a little box.
"open it" he was excited to see your reaction. you took the top off the little box. inside showed a golden heart shaped locket. when you flipped the top part of the heart, it showed a picture of you and donghyuck sleeping together that Renjun had taken.
"i love it" you pulled him into a hug.
"thank you for giving me the best prom ever. I love you hyuck" donghyuck pulls you in for a kiss.
"I love you" he mumbles in between the kiss.
