VanderVall Academy- Monday 27th November,2017- 9.13am
Great Hall -
Danny, Zackery and Dallas are sitting at their table in the great hall eating their breakfast and drinking their glass of blood which helps them from lashing out at people during the day.
"The girls seem pretty excited about this Christmas party" Zackery pipes up as he looks around the room only ever hearing the talk of the Christmas Party going around. Even while he's trying to have sex with a girl she is mentioning it.
"It's all you ever hear about where ever you go" Dallas glares sick of hearing about the subject.
"I feel like i have to go for Alice" Danny tells the boys with an eye roll never haven been interested in the dances before besides from hooking up with the girls there.
"Would i hell be seen getting dressed up for a stupid dance" Dallas screws up his face disinterested
"Dude if i'm getting dragged to this place then you are getting dragged too" Danny warns them keeping his word on it.
"Good luck trying" Dallas laughs knowing for a fact no one would get him to go in a million years.
"You know what it could be fun, Looking around the room and picking up chicks" Zackery points out to Dallas trying to convince him
"Still not happening" Dallas refuses the idea
"Then hooking up with them afterwards,I love the dances and the parties" Zackery reminds the pair
"You are like a horny little thirteen year old" Dallas points out to him not sure if he should feel disgusted by his friend or not.
"Just living my best life" Zackery replies to him as he picks up his glass and takes a drink from it.
Dallas leans forward at the table "Are you boys still up for tonight?" He whispers as quiet as he can.
"Hell yeah" Zackery answers his with a head nod a little too loud for their liking.
"I'll be there but i'm not sure if i'm going to do it" Danny reveals to them.
"Dude what are you on about this is our thing every monday night, Sneak out. Get into a fight cause some trouble" Dallas reminds him feeling confused as to why the sudden change in Danny.
"Checks Hartell, someone bruised him up pretty good" Danny points out as he watches Wilson limp down the aisle.
"Well i can assure you it wasn't me" Dallas smirks shaking his head and they all watch him.
" Me either, I was in my room" Zackery shares with the boys being truthful having no part in the attack at all.
Wilson walks over to the boys and stops at the side of Danny.
"Are the girls alright?" Wilson asks worried that they may be really hurt having not spoken to them since they took him to go see the nurse.
"Not getting into a fight with one of our girls last night did you?" Zackery jokes as he observes Wilson's bruises.
"More like them saving my ass" Wilson admits to them with a raised eyebrow not feeling embarrassed by it at all.
"What?"Danny blurts out as he spits the blood out from his mouth onto the table.
"They didn't tell you" Wilson mumbles as he backed away from the conversation not knowing if saying anything could have just gotten the girls into trouble. He rubs his hand on his head feeling awkward and wanting out of this conversation.
"No they didn't" Dallas hissed in anger that they weren't told anything.
"What exactly happened?"Danny quizzes Wilson wanting all the details
"I'll let the girls tell you that story" Wilson tells them before walking away from the table and over to his friends.
"What on earth did they get up to now" Dallas growls as he finishes drinking his blood and smashes the glass onto the table.
" I think it's time we go find out" Danny suggests to the boys as he gets up off the bench.
The boys quickly get up off the bench and race to the girls bedrooms in anger at the fact they got into another fight and didn't even bother to tell them about it. The boys make it to the dorm corridor and knock on Alice's bedroom door.
"Alice" Danny calls out from the corridor to which Alice doesn't respond.
"Alice, Are you in there?" Danny calls out to her again.
After not getting a second response he backs away from the door and charges at it breaking in. When he gets in he sees Alice isn't in her room and that it doesn't look like her bed was slept in either. He looks over to her table and sees her books still there meaning she hadn't left for class either. He turns round and walks out the door and looks at the boys. "She's not in there" he shakes his head as he attempts to close the door behind him but ends up sitting slanted as one it's held on with one of the hinges.
"Perhaps we should try Ella's room" Zackery suggest to them and looks down the corridor.
They walk down a few doors to Ella's room and Zackery tries knocking."Hey Ella, You alone?" Zackery calls out to her not wanting to barge into her room if she wasn't. After getting no response he tries again.
"El, You in there?" Zackery calls out to her again. Alan Mitchell was walking by the room when he sees the boys.
"Yeah Ellas not in there" Alan shares with them
"And how would you know that?"Danny glares at Alan
"I came by her room last night and she didn't answer so i came back this morning" Alan reveals to the boys before walking away.
"I hate that guy" Zackery adds to the boys feeling a hatred inside for him.
"Why would that be?" Dallas asks him with a raised eyebrow.
"I just do" Zackery glares at the boys before they walk to Kathryn's room.
"If they aren't in Kathryn's then we are in trouble" Dallas points out to the boys feeling nervous.
"They're totally going to be together" Danny guesses to the groups
" yeah, i swear they are always together nowadays. I swinged by El's room the other night and i found out she was in Kathryn's room the whole night" Zackery agrees with his friend
"I don't know why we didn't just go to Kathryn's room first" Danny goes on to say thinking it's making sense.
As the boys are walking down the corridor the spot Jesse walking towards them.
"The best thing Kathryn did was give on that piece of trash" Danny blurts out to them both as he looks Jesse up and down.
As Jesse walks past them he purposely barges through them all. Dallas grabs Jesse by the back of his collar and slams him against the wall.
"Try that again i dare you" Dallas warns him feeling more than ready to beat the living crap out of him.
"Any day, Any time Dallas. I'm not afraid of you. But you should be afraid of me" Jesse threatens him then does a sadistic laugh in his face.
Dallas slams Jesse's head through the wall. "You should be the one afraid of me" Dallas mocks him
" Least i won't be afraid to throw the first punch unlike you who Kathryn seems to have wrapped around her little finger" Jesse bites back at him.
"You don't get to say a word against her do you hear me" Dallas warns him getting more angry.
"Why her and her friends are a bunch of sluts anyway, I know and you three know it" Jesse laughs at them all."I must admit though that girl was good in bed".
Dallas puts his hand to Jesse's throat and begins strangling him. Zackery angry after hearing the insult throws a punch at Jesse's ribs. Danny stands guard making sure no one spots them.
"I swear to god, you better stay away from them" Dallas threatens Jesse knowing that he will only cause more pain.
"Or what? What are you going to do? Kill me? You haven't got the balls" Jesse mocks them all as he laughs in their faces
"They might not but i certainly will" Dallas promises him as he vamps out on Jesse, His fangs showing, his face scrunched up and his eyes as black as his soul.
"Dallas stop man, He's provoking you into a fight"Danny attempts to stop Dallas from doing something he regrets, Danny has one of his hands on Dallas arm.
Dallas takes his hands away from Jesse's neck and attempts to control his anger.
"Like i said you haven't got the balls. You guys and your little bitches are sad and pathetic" Jesse repeats with a smirk on his face
Danny takes his hands off of Dallas and holds them up no longer stopping the pair from hurting Jesse. Dallas begins to breath heavily, He looks up at Zackery who is just as angry they both grab a hold of Jesse's neck and back and throw him out of the window not caring if he landed on spikes and died.
"Let's just keep this our little secret" Danny suggests to the boys as he stands by the window and looking down at Jesse lying on the ground.
"This one and all the others" Zackery agrees with him nodding his head.
"I should have ripped his heart out of his chest and crushed the thing" Dallas explodes still seeing red with anger.
"It's not worth it and plus if you did Kathryn might just do the exact same thing to you" Danny reminds him of all the consequences there could be if Dallas doesn't control his anger.
"I know" Dallas shouts at them trying to control himself from completely lashing out.
"There is definitely something going on with you and Kathryn" Danny points out to him as they continue to stand in the same spot to calm themselves down
"Her dad gave me a job to protect her and i'm not going to fail him. " Dallas replies to them as his vampire features begins to clear away.
Zackery gives Danny a funny look to say "As If" then they begin walking to Kathryn's room.
"Now remember whatever we find out, keep your cool" Danny reminds them not wanting another case of a smashed window.
"I Can't make any promises" Dallas replies shaking his head knowing that if he hears one of the girls were hurt he would storm out of the room and hunt the person down and kill them on the spot no if and no buts. Perhaps Kathryn was changing Dallas but maybe not in a good sense, his drive to protect her was driving him insane. Causing him to want to kill anything or anyone who says a bad word against her, Maybe he will be her downfall. Perhaps he could really be the one she needs protecting from after all he is a monster.
Danny knocks on Kathryn's door while Dallas backs off trying to lower his anger before seeing the girls.
"Kathryn" Danny shouts from the other side of the door. The boys hear no noises coming from the room and look at one another.
"Kick it down" Dallas suggests to them not willing to wait for the girls to open the door.
Danny and Zackery both look at one another then lift their strongest legs and both kick the door at the same time causing it to bust open. The boys storm into the room and sees the three girls all cuddled up in one bed. Ella on the right hand side with her hair in a messy bun and a long nighty on, Alice in the middle of the bed with her matching pyjama shirt and trousers on, her hair down and Kathryn on the left side of the bed her hair down with her grey shorts on and her white cropped hoodie on.
"Seriously?" Danny says as he stands at the end of the bed watching the girls sleep.
Dallas walks over and leans on the wardrobe door just staring at them as they waited to see if the girls would wake up on their own or if they would need to be woken up.
" Zackery do your thing" Dallas encourages Zackery to be a kid and do anything he can to wake the girls up.
"Sir yes sir" Zackery responds feeling delighted by this thought.
"Is that really a good idea?" Danny wonders as he sits on the sofa.
Dallas shrugs his shoulders not really caring at that moment of time, Zackery kicks off his shoes and does a little run and jump onto the bed landing starfish style on top of the girls. The girls instantly wake up, open their eyes and look up to see Zackery staring at them.
"Zackery, what the hell are you doing in my bedroom?" Kathryn yells at him half asleep.
"We thought we would give you girls a wake up call cause obviously the alarm clock didn't help" Zackery replies as he looks at the broken alarm clock that was laying on the ground.
"I'm going to pull out every single blonde hair on your head" Alice threatens him after being rudely awoken from a good sleep
"What the hell happened last night?" Dallas says getting straight to the point.
"We were watching tv and just crashed" Ella replies telling half of the truth.
"Wilson came into the great hall all bruised up asking if you three were okay" Zackery explains to the girls as he crawls off them allowing them to get up properly.
"So it wasn't a dream then" Ella blurts out not thinking before she speaks."I did not just say that" She attempts to take back her statement.
"Well done Ella" Alice growls that she let it slip.
"Alice are you alright?" Danny asks her feeling concerned and worried about her.
Alice sits up on the bed and smiles at him "I'm fine". She smiles at him and he walks over to her and checks out her face making sure he doesn't see any bruises.
"Remember i can heal" Alice reminds him knowing that even if there was bruises when the fight happened they would just disappear anyway.
"We are fine, Nothing happened" Ella assures them all as she remains still laying on her back with her eyes closed.
"One minute we were having fun then we thought to ourselves you know what we could go for right now a good old fight" Kathryn sarcastically tells the boys as she is still layed on her stomach her face facing the wardrobe her eyes closed.
"It was just a little punch, No damage " Alice assures the boys as she shows no bruises on her face, arms, legs, back or stomach.
"Wilson didn't say what happened or who did it" Danny brings up to the girls hoping they will tell them
"We aren't saying a word either. We don't need you guys going out there and kicking his ass for us." Ella refuses to say a word about the topic
"Exactly, We will be doing it ourselves" Kathryn agrees with Ella wanting revenge for the couple of hits she received last night as she lifts her head from the pillow to glance at the boys especially Dallas.
"So it's a he then?" Dallas points out taking every word the girls said in.
"Guys do me a favour and just shut the hell up" Kathryn explodes at them before throwing her head back onto the pillow and closing her eyes.
"I second that" Ella agrees with Kathryn keeping her eyes closed wanting more sleep.
"Sorry guys but we are just going to get some more sleep" Alice tells them as he lays back down putting an eye mask back over her eyes to block out the light.
The three boys group together and begin to whisper.
"We have to find out what the hell happened and who attacked them" Dallas addresses to the boys not willing to let it go.
"Even if we do, if we hurt them the girls will kill us" Zackery reminds them of how adament the girls are about fighting their own battles.
"I'm with Dallas on this one, we can't sit back and do nothing" Danny approves of Dallas's idea of getting revenge even if it meant falling out with Alice on it.
"We're clearly not going to get anything out of them now" Zackery whispers looking at the girls already asleep.
"For now" Dallas replies before going into the bathroom.
Dallas in the bathroom looks around the room and finds a basin in the cupboard under the sink, He fills it up of water and walks back into the bedroom with it in his hand.
"You are taking full responsibility for this one" Danny warns him not willing to go down for his actions.
"That's fine with me" Dallas shrugs his shoulders not really caring.
Danny and Zackery walk over to Kathryn's table and sit on it so they can observe from afar what was about to happen. Dallas walks over to the bed with the basin in his hands and throws the water all over the girls waking them up. The girls let out a large scream when the water hits them due to the coldness.
"Who in the hell did that" Ella jumps out of the soaking wet bed her head and hair soaking wet.
"I'm going to kill someone" Kathryn shouts as she sits up on the bed and glares at Dallas holding the basin of water.
Alice sits up on the bed and rolls her eyes not expecting any less from the boys. She shrugs her shoulders and just slides out of the bed. Kathryn sits on the edge of the bed rubs her eyes then drains the excess water out her hair. She stands up and walks over to Dallas.
"I'll have that thank you very much" Kathryn glares at him as she snatches the basin out of his hand.
Ella collapses on the sofa not caring that she was soaking wet but only wanting sleep, while Alice sits on the very end of the bed figuring trying to get her mind together.
"We accidentally may have broken your bedroom door " Danny informs Alice with a little smile
"You did what?" Alice asks not sure if she heard them correctly.
" In our defence we thought you guys were seriously hurt so broke it down to make sure you weren't a pile of ash" Zackery jumps in trying to help.
They hear Kathryn clattering from inside the bathroom as she puts the basin back under the cupboard for any emergency purposes. She stands back up and looks in the mirror at her black eyes due to being sleep deprived and sees the mark Jesse left on her face and neck.
"Girls, Can you come here a minute" Kathryn calls out to them as she stands behind the door.
Ella sits up on the sofa realising something in Kathryn's voice was a little bit off. Alice gets off the bed and they go into the bathroom.
"Close the door" Kathryn whispers to them. Alice closes the door and stands beside it.
"What's going on?" Ella asks feeling confused
"This" Kathryn whispers out as she turns her head to the left to show them the hand print mark.
"shit" Ella blurts out loudly
"Is everything okay in there?" Dallas asks them from behind the door
"Yeah everything's fine" Alice lies not knowing what to say
"We just got our hair caught together" Ella continues the lie.
"There is no way we can cover that" Alice points out looking at the size of the print.
Kathryn flips her hair from the left side of her head to the right to make it less noticeable not having makeup to hide it.
"Do you reckon he would have done it?" Ella questions the girls feeling conflicted
"Honestly yes, there was this look in his eye" Kathryn confesses feeling slightly frightened by Jesse. "Plus i felt his fangs pierce into my skin, he didn't get a taste"
" I can't wait to give him a good punch" Alice shares with the girls as she clenches her fist.
"What are they doing in there?"Zackery asks the boys feeling totally confused.
Dallas turns the door handle.
"Alright we are coming" Alice yells losing her temper by accident.
Dallas takes his hand off the handle and backs off over to the boys. The girls come walking out of the bathroom, Kathryn instantly goes to her wardrobe and opens the door.
"You guys are stripping that bed and putting on new covers" Alice informs the boys before Kathryn throws the fresh ones at them.
"we did nothing" Danny shakes his head not understanding why him and Zackery are being punished
"Exactly, you did nothing" Ella glares at the three of them.
Danny and Zackery pick up the seats and walk over to the bed and begin stripping it.
"Do you girls want some clothes?" Kathryn offers the girls as she turns round and looks at them laying on the sofa.
"Yes please" Ella accepts the offer not wanting to move from her spot.
"Might as well"Alice also agrees
"What i'll do is i'll grab mine then you can just go in and pick what you like" Kathryn tells them
As Kathryn is looking through her wardrobe for clothes for herself, Dallas walks over to her and stands behind her.
"What are you hiding?" Dallas questions her sensing something is off.
"Nothing" Kathryn lies not finding it important.
"Really? Then why do you keep moving away from me" Dallas quizzes her following her every movement.
"because you appear to be getting really close" Kathryn responds as she faces the bathroom door so that the imprint on her face/ neck can't be seen unless you were stood inside the wardrobe.
"I don't appreciate it when you lie to me" Dallas shares with her shaking his head making it question himself if he can really trust her.
"Alright, I'm sorry. We just don't want to talk about what happened last night" Kathryn replies with him as she looks into his eyes showing a slight fear through them.
He puts his hand on the right side of her face/ neck, Kathryn lets out a small shriek then screws up her face realising what she had done. She walks away from the wardrobe and into the bathroom feeling annoyed with herself, she closes the door behind her and stands in front of the mirror. Dallas turns around and looks at Ella and Alice staring at him, He then follows Kathryn into the bathroom and closes the door behind him.
"Why don't you trust me?" Dallas questions her not understanding.
"It's not that i don't trust you,It's more like I'm afraid of what you could do to the person " Kathryn reveals to him as she lifts her head from looking down at the sink.
"Why? Kathryn just let me in. I want to help you"Dallas begs her feeling useless
Kathryn turns round and looks at him, she walks over to him and puts her hand on the side of his face and neck.
"Someone you care about or you thought you cared about should never lay their hands on someone but then one day they do and you see the look in their eyes, a look that you know there is no way of coming back from. A look of darkness in their eyes because they no longer care, they no longer care if they tear into your veins and tear you apart" Kathryn comments before taking her hand off his face and looking down at her hand.
"You don't hurt someone you say you care about or say you once loved. It's just wrong" Kathryn continues on to say.
"Who hurt you? What did they do to you" Dallas realises she is trying to hint to something.
Kathryn pulls her hair over to her left shoulder and shows Dallas the marks. He walks over to her and gently brushes a finger over the hand print.
"Who did this to you?" Dallas questions her feeling worried that yet again she got hurt.
"It doesn't matter" Kathryn shakes her head then hides it with her hair again.
"Of course it matters" Dallas notifies her about how bad it is
"The person wasn't after me, Alice or Ella. They were after Wilson we were just the ones to intervene and got hurt in the process. It just means i have to train harder and more" Kathryn replies not willing to give Jesse up. She wasn't protecting Jesse she was protecting Dallas, Danny and Zackery because she knew if they gave up the name they wouldn't just be ending Jesse's life but also their own and that wasn't a burden she wanted to have to live with for the rest of her life. Kathryn walks back out of the bathroom leaving Dallas standing there alone.
Dallas Inner Voice-
Just when i think this girl can't get into any more trouble she finds a way to prove me wrong. I get this person may not have went out there way to hurt her but in the end they did . I broke my promise to her father, I didn't have her back. I failed to protect her, I fail to protect her everyday because i'm too busy screwing girls than doing by job. A job i was entrusted with, a job i swore i would do right but yet again it's another thing i have failed at in life. What's the point anymore, Justin would be better asking someone else because clearly i'm not doing the job right. Justin saved my life and now i feel obliged to save his daughter even if it means i have to die in the process. I owe that man my life so if that is what i have to do then i will, you have my word on it. From now on i will be there standing in the shadows of every day and every minute waiting for the moment that someone decides to hurt her and when they do i will leap out of the shadows and do what is right. I will break all my rules for her, If i have to make bad decisions then i will make bad decisions. If i have to break everything i believe in to protect her then hell i will do it. If i have to stop the fighting, the drinking, the moping about then it's something i must do. I will not allow this girl to die on my watch.
Greg and Justin's Office- 2.25pm
Alice is sat in the vice principal and the principal's office waiting for their arrival. She is sat on the comfy chair in front of Justin's desk. Justin comes walking into the office with Greg behind him and see Alice sitting there.
"Sorry we forgot we had an appointment with you" Justin apologises her after running late as he hangs up his coat on the coat rack.
"It's been a really busy day" Greg tells Alice as he sits down at his desk
"No need to apologise, i understand" Alice replies with a head nod knowing how important their job is.
"What can you tell us?" Justin questions her wanting to know everything she knows
"I can still sense something bad is going to happen. Whenever i'm around her it's like there is this darkness that roams around her which can't be right. The more the days go by the more darkness appears just waiting for the right moment to strike but it doesn't make sense, not to me anyway"Alice confesses to them feeling confused.
" Can you sense when something is going to happen?" Greg asks her hoping that they will have enough time to prepare for the inevitable.
"I don't know, but i can feel us getting closer. Although we are still so far away, does that make sense?" Alice answers them lifting her shoulders having no idea.
"Perhaps we should give her more training time" Justin suggests to the three of them trying to come up with a way to help his daughter.
"Mr VanderVall, Your daughter barely has a life as it is. She wakes up every morning goes to breakfast, goes to class everyday and then training and even after class is finished you can either find her in her room or the library trying to catch up on all the years she missed out on. She doesn't leave the castle, she never parties with the rest of us. Never goes out into town." Alice reminds him of what Kathryn spends her day doing.
" I know and i wish she did all those things. I wish there was a way i could help her" Justin wishes as he looks out of the office window
"You could do something about all the vampires and werewolves coming into town and wanting to kill us all of" Alice suggests to him feeling sick of hiding in fear all the time.
"It's a lot more harder than you think" Greg explains to her knowing who and what exactly is out there.
"Yeah maybe it is, but Principle VanderVall your family built this school to protect people and you aren't doing much protecting right now" Alice blurts out to them as she stands up then storms out of the room leaving Greg and Justin sat at their desks with a blank expression on their faces.
"She's right, We need to do something" Greg agrees with what Alice has to say.
"We have to start getting rid of them even if it means we have to kill them all. Even if it means we have to go out there every day and slaughter them all" Justin suggests to him willing to fight back knowing that there will not be a happy ending. Knowing that one day out of nowhere Ophelia was going to show up and try and kill his daughter.
"We have so much on our hands as it is"Greg points out to him as he looks at the pile of files he has on his desk of paperwork that needs to be done.
"Those people came here to learn from us, to become better people, to feel safe we can't just watch from the side lines and see them die. We can't sit on by and let them all die, that's not the reason my family built this school" Justin yells at Greg knowing they need to do thing because if they don't then what was the point in the school being built in the first place. What was the point in the VanderVall family to fight tooth and nail for them to just shrug their shoulders and not give a damn about anyone there.
Basement- 11.21pm
As the rest of the castle were asleep or getting ready for their bed. The three girls Alice, Ella and Kathryn only thought about one thing how excited they were to be getting some sleep and hopefully won't be rudely awoke like they were this morning but as they settled into their beds they thought everything was okay, that no one could possibly be getting into any trouble. Little did they know that three of their best friends were at the underground fight club which they went to every monday and friday evening. Little did they know what their friends were getting themselves up to and perhaps it would be a good thing. Zackery and Dallas are in one corner of the basement with tape around their hands, black shorts on and no top with a mouth guard sat in their pockets. Dallas looks around the room at the large group of boys that were gathered for tonight's fight night. Dallas spots Danny walking over to them in his normal clothes.
"Danny boy, you sure you don't want to come back?" Dallas questions him as he prepares for his fight.
"Nah, Alice would kill me if she found out what i was up to" Danny refuses trying to think of the right thing.
"You're missing out, lots of good fights on tonight man" Zackery pipes up to Danny as he checks out the competition.
"Remember not a word to Alice" Dallas reminds him thinking of all the ways they could get punished.
"You think i would be that stupid, I love coming to fight night and wouldn't destroy it because of my relationship. I'm not that type of guy" Danny assures the guys
"Good we can't have anyone finding out about this place especially not Alice and Kathryn" Zackery mentions to the boys
"This place would end up locked down and we would end up with curfews which is not happening" Dallas disapproves with the idea.
"You reckon the guy who attacked Wilson and hurt the girls could be here?" Zackery questions the boys as he looks around the room
"Most likely" Dallas nods his head scanning the room at everyone feeling willing to attack them all.
"We have to get a name from the girls or from Wilson" Danny mentions not liking being left out into the dark even if they girls think it would be for the best.
"What exactly were you and Kathryn doing in the bathroom anyway?" Zackery mentions feeling curious
"Just talking" Dallas immediately replies
"Just talking huh? What about?" Danny joins in with the questions
"I asked her what happened that's all" Dallas tells the boys as he sits down on the bench.
"What did she tell you?"Zackery questions him
" She gave me a vague hint of what went down but nothing major"Dallas reveals to them not knowing what else to tell them.
"I don't think they are going to say a word" Danny pipes up knowing that if Alice and Ella want to keep something a secret then they can do it
"Then we will get it from Wilson"Zackery suggests to them willing to do whatever he need
"Whatever it takes"Dallas agrees with Zackery's way of thinking.
"Zack looks like you're up man" Danny points out as he looks at everyone getting ready
Zackery puts his mouth guard in and walks over to Billy Thompson and their referee for the night Jonathan Barcley. Zackery stands in front of Billy and they both give each other a glare with Jonathan standing at the side of them.
"Boys shake hands" Jonathan instructs them
Zackery and Billy give each other a small fist bump to acknowledge they are both ready and prepared for the fight.
"Alright then Gentleman, Tonight we have Zackery "The Beast" Martinez in the blue corner and in the right corner we have Billy "The Man" Thompson. Let's get this fight going shall we boys" Jonathan announces to the group of 40 boys gathered round them.
The crowd let out a roar in excitement then a bell is rung to let the fight begin.
"Come on Zackery" Dallas yells out to him supporting his friend.
Zackery throws the first punch at Billy but misses by an inch, Billy goes in for an attack and manages to get a hit into Zackery's ribs. Zackery automatically puts up his defence and fights back managing to get a hit to the head. Zackery uses his arms to shield his face from any hits and Billy does the same.
"Mon Zackery" Danny encourages his friend to step up his game
Dallas and Danny are stood together as they are watching Zackery and Billy fighting cheering Zackery on.
"Are you really serious about quitting fighting?" Dallas questions him wanting to know exactly what is going on in his friends head.
"Yeah man, I guess it isn't the life for me anymore" Danny answers shrugging his shoulders as if it doesn't matter to him anymore
"A few days ago you were so excited to be back here and fighting and now all of a sudden it's changed." Dallas points out to him
"I'm back with Alice now and i have to do whatever i can to make sure that it works this time" Danny explains willing to do and be anything he need to, to make sure that Alice stays in his life.
" You shouldn't have to Change who you are" Dallas mentions not liking all the changes he has seen in Danny over the past few days.
"I love her so much that i'm willing to be anything she wants me to be" Danny shares with him.
"That's not what love should be, you should both love each other for who you are not who you are expected to be." Dallas gives his opinion
"How would you know what love is? You got killed because of it and you refuse to feel it again" Danny bites back not meaning to come across as hurtful
" Maybe i don't but least i don't pretend i'm someone i'm not" Dallas agrees with what Danny said even if he was harsh with the way he said it.
"I'm sorry man" Danny apologises feeling bad for saying what he did especially because he is one of the very few people who know parts of Dallas' life story.
"Nah you're right, how would i know what love is" Dallas continues to agree with him not knowing what it feels like to be loved. Dallas walks away from his friend and over to the opposite side of the basement so that he can gather his thoughts together.
"Good one Danny" Danny says to himself feeling frustrated with himself for not being able to hold his tongue.
Billy falls to the ground, his eye almost popping out of his eye and blood coming from his mouth. Zackery has one of his hands raised in the air, one placed on his ribs as blood comes out of his mouth as she smiles.
