I couldn't find any pictures to match the description of Dakota's new hairstyle so I got a pic from my friend. Not the best pic but atleast you get to see most of the hair.

.......................................................................................................................................................................................

I was still sitting on the floor, leaning against the door when I heard a knock. I reluctantly got up and unlocked the door. My father came, his black hair untidy and his gray eyes, tired. His eyebrows met in a frown.

"Bad day at work today, huh?" I asked more as a statement.

"Yep. The hospital was filled today. So many women are having babies these days. I hardly had time to even deliver them." He stated going straight to the refridgerator.

"So much of them? Why do you even like to deliver babies? It is so gross!" I exclaimed, walking to sit on the couch.

"It all about how you think about it, Kody. Some would think of it as getting between five different women legs in one day but others would think of it as hearing women scream constantly." He said while making himself a sandwich.

"Whatever Dad." I flipped through the channels until I saw a rerun of Vampire Diaries.

"So your Jennie told me that your school called her for you. What did you get yourself into?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing. Just some senior girl that wanted to embarrass me." I said calmly.

My father took the remote and turned on some football game. "Those seniors. Did you end of giving her it good?"

"Yeah Dad. I thought her a lesson." I tried to put on a mean voice.

He chuckled, "Can't have my little girl getting bullied in school. Good thing you picked up from my side of the family."

I laughed. If it was anything, I took after my mother side in fighting. My mother was the one with the fighting instincts. She knew when enough was enough. She could easily tackle anyhing that comes her way. She even told me that she did karate as a hobby back in her days in high school.

My father on the other hand was more gentle and loving and caring. He advoided conflict and hardly raised a finger at anyone. But he did have some fantasy that he was one of the world's strongest, meanest man. Mom and I just went along with it.

There was a knocking at the door. My father ignored it and continued being into the game that was showing. I rolled my eyes and opened the door.

"Oh my god! Look what I picked up at the hair store, today!" My mother burst through the front twirling with a small paper bag in her hands that marked, 'Lori's Hair Store'. I grabbed the bag and emptied the contents. There were three small bottles of hair dye. One was Jet Black, the other was Golden Brown and the last one was Hot Pink.

I looked at Mom in shock. "Hot Pink?" I exclaimed.

"Yeah. It would be soo fun! Don't you want to try a new look?" She was dancing around me now. She always was playful and thought she was a teenager.

She gave me a sad face and pouted when she realized that I wouldn't bulge. "Oh, come on. We can have a girls' night. Please."

I gave in, "I guess I could do it."

I remembered that I had to meet Travis at Starbucks for seven. "Mom. I have to go Starbucks, remember?"

She groaned, "Do you have to?"

"Yeah. The person has my phone." I said smiling as I thought about Travis.

"Fine. Well when you come back we can do it then." She said hope coming back into her eyes.

I sighed, "Sure, Mom."

"How are you going to reach there? Raymond, why don't you drop Dakota?" She asked.

"No! I could take a cab. It is like three blocks away." I said in alarm.

"Hunny, you need to give the girl a break. She is almost sixteen. She's not a baby." My father spoke up to my mother.

She sighed, "I know." She looked at the clock. "Well you have to hurry and get dressed. It is six o'clock already."

I dashed upstairs. I always took about half an hour to dress and to wait for a cab then reach there would take another half an hour. Quickly, I scanned my closet. What would I wear? It had to be something that won't make me look like I was trying to hard. Starbucks was a place where people dressed casual.

So probably a skinny jeans and a haltor top. I pulled out a dark blue, fitted skinny jeans and a sky blue haltor top with sequence along the neckline. I matched these with blue, black and white bangles. I slipped on a pair of black high heels. Quickly, I passed a flat-iron in my hair to make it dead straight and left it out. I put in a black hairband to hide my bangs.

Often, I hid my bangs because my mom had cut it unevenly when she cut it. I sighed as I remembered the memory and went through my drawer for black nail polish. I applied it as fast I could and went to my closet to collect a blue and white handbag I had that was embedded with diamonds.

"Mum. Do you have a pair of earrings that I could burrow?" I called to her from my bedroom.

"Yeah Baby. Check in my jewelry box." She answered. From upstairs, I knew she had been kissing Dad. Old people making out is so gross. I walked to my parents bedroom and went to her jewelry box. It sat comfortably on her dresser. Scanning through it, my eyes caught on a pairof diamond hoop earrings . It must have been new. I put it in my handbag and left the room.

"Bye Mom. Bye Dad. I'll be back in about an hour if so much." I waved them goodbye and left the house. It didn't take as long as I thought it would to get a cab. In the taxi, I started applying my makeup. It was not the best place to do it but I didn't ave time at home. I put on light foundation and hardly any blue eyeshadow with mascara and a bit of bronzer.

The cab stopped and I jumped out. Good thing I was done. Ten minutes to spare. I walked into Starbucks. Travis hadn't reached yet so I went to the washroom to examine my make up application skills. I was suprised when I looked into the mirror. The makeup actually looked good. But a little bit of eyeliner and lip gloss would help. I put them on along with the earrings that I took.

It was exactly seven o'clock. Slowly, I walked into the sitting area and secured a seat for Travis and myself. He still wasn't here so I began to think about what I would like to order. I crossed my legs and began to bite my bottom lip, tasting all the lip gloss from it. I saw as Travis' car pulled into the car park. I quickly reapplied my lip gloss and pretended that I wasn't staring out the door, looking for when his car would arrive.

Travis entered the building and glimsped over the seating area, looking for me. As his eyes met mine, I couldn't help but give a smile. He returned it and came to our table. Hey was wearing skinny jeans and  a v-neck. He had messy hair like always.

"Hey, babes." He said and kissed me slightly on the lips before taking a seat opposite me.

I smile, "Hey."

"You ordered anything already?" He asked.

"Nope. I was waiting for you." I said looking into his blue eyes. I personally didn't like guys with blue eyes and preferred gray or green but Travis' was different.

"That's so sweet. Just like you." He said.

I blushed.

"So what do you want?" He asked standing up.

"I really shouldn't." I said giving him a smile and whispered sorry.

"Why not?" He persudes.

"Well..." I tried to find a way to explain.

"What? You could tell me." He smiled.

I struggled to say it. "I am.....lactose intolerant."

Travis began to laugh, "Seriously?"

"Yeah. I am. So unless you want me farting all night, I suggest you just buy me a muffin." I said joking.

"Now we won't want that." Travis was still laughing as he walked over to join the line.

I couldn't help but look at Travis. He was mine. My boyfriend. He was so fantastic. Only one problem though. He cheated a lot. What if he cheated on me? How would I take it if I found out?

I was still thinking about this when Travis returned with a muffin and a cappicunno for himself. I started eating the muffin while Travis drank his drink.

"What are you thinking about?" Travis asked.

I looked at him confused, "Nothing."

Travis shook his hand, "I know you were thinking something. You had that thinking look on your face."

I chuckled, "And what thinking look is that?"

"You know? Your face just turn plain. Like with no emotions, I mean." Hestruggled to explain.

I looked at him doubtfully, "I wasn't like that just now."

"You kind of were." He said smiling.

"Well I don't know. I just had a really long day today." I stated honestly.

Travis smiled at me, "I know."

He took my hand as to comfort me. I smiled at him and squeezed on it gently.

"This just feels good, you know?" I asked Travis.

He smiled, "I know exactly what you mean."

He leaned over and gave me a peck on my cheeks.

"Before I forget...." Travis trailed off, digging in his pockets.

He pulled out a pink windows 7 phone."My phone." I exclaimed, taking it from him.

I search to make sure I didn't get any calls. I had four voicemails. I listened to them. One was my cousin, Amber, who said she missed me. Another was my aunt, Rose, who said she was coming form New York for my birthday and the last one was from my friend, Stephan. He was french and had a major crush on me. We met when I was on holidays in France. He said something about a girl he met.

When I was finished, I looked at Travis who went to the counter for something I didn't know. I stared at the door. Gabriel came through the front door. I grasped in suprise and ducked. A thin, tall brunette stood beside him, her hand in his. Travis came back to our table and sat down.

"Hey. Block me." I ducked behind Travis.

"What's the matter? Who are you hiding from?" He questioned.

I dodged behind Travis. "No one." I lied.

"Well it has to be someone to have you dodging like that." Travis said getting fustrated.

He turned around and saw Gabriel. "The tall blonde guy?"

"Yeah. Don't let him see me." I said bowing my head so my hair covered my face.

"What is he to you?" Travis asked.

"No one important." I lied."Oh shit." I whispered, "He's coming this way."

He spotted me and walked up to our table with the girl still attached to his hands.

"Dee?" He asked. "Is that you?" He seemed excited.

I raised my head up to face him, "Yeah, Gabe."

His face brightened, "Funny meeting into you again."

"Yeah." I said, forcing a smile.

"So how long has it been?" Gabriel asked me.

"About six months." I answered.

He sighed, "Wow. It has been so long. Seemed like only yesterday we were skinny dipping in the lake by your aunt's house."

"Yep. Just like yesterday." I replied.

"So how has things been since..." He trailed off.

"Great actually. Everything is better than I could have imagine." I said smiling at Travis.

Gabriel frowned, "I see. Well don't let me be rude." He gestured to the brunette next to him. "This is my girlfriend, Sandra."

"Bonjour." Sandra said.

"Her main language is french. Sorry about that."  Gabriel boasted. "Isn't she wonderful?"

"Very." I said sarcastically.

Gabriel laughed.

I forced a smile. " I almost forgot, Happy Belated Birthday!"

"I thought you forgot."

Gabriel complimented me, "I see you are still beautiful as ever. Something I didn't appreciate before."

Travis came into the converse just then, "I'm sorry. Who are you?"

Gabriel smiled falsely, "I am Gabriel, DeDe's ex-boyfriend."

Travis glared at Gabriel, "And I am her current boyfriend." He empasized on current.

Before anything else could happen, I spoke up.

"Well nice to meet you Gaby. You too Sandra." I got up from the table and pulled Travis up. He was a bit taller than Gabriel and slightly more muscular.

"Et toi." Sandra said bubbly.

"Well got to go." I waved and walked off with Travis. I heard Gabriel say something to Sandra in French.

We passed through the door  to exit Starbucks.

"I don't like him." Travis announced when we were outside. He stood by his car.

"I think you clarified that when we were inside." I said.

"Why didn't you tell me that he was your ex boyfriend?" He asked, spiting the word boyfriend.

"Because I didn't feel the need to explain. Besides, he's nothing to me now." I said while hugging him.

He welcomed my embrace.

We stood like that for a while. "I guess I was kind of jealous." Travis admitted.

"No." I said sarcastic.

He chuckled, "It's just that he is..."

"Tall, rich, blonde, good looking, hot..." I trailed off.

Travis face slowly turned red.

I laughed, "Don't study all that. It's you I chose. And with good reason."

I tip-toed and landed a kiss on his lips. I released from the kiss. Travis gave me a sad face. I smiled and he pulled me closer to him. He kissed me gently on my lips. It was a soft passionate kiss and suprisingly, I enjoyed it.

Travis' lips were smooth, supple. his bottom lip pursed tightly over mine. His hands caressed my neck, slowing sliding up to my flushed cheek. The hand was cool at first, until it made its way to my cheek. After that, all i felt was the intense warmth radiating off my sin.  This kiss was nothing to any previous kiss in my life. It was a kiss of affection, deep passion. Igniting from both of our hearts and coursing through both of our lips causing an electrical surge.

I began to feel like I was in love. But I didn't want to ruin the moment and say my feelings to him. It was too early in the relationship for that. The kiss became urgent. It was as though he couldn't get enough of me and I couldn't get enough of him.

Our lips collided again in a rush, my tongue playing with his. He lift me up so I wouln't have to tip-toe anymore. I wrapped my legs around his hip in an effort to balance myself. He held on to my waist firmly, his other hand moving against my back. He jammed me up to his car so most of my weight would be relieved off him. My hands played in his hair. His hair was soft and silky. I enjoyed it.

The car next to us beeped. Someone was coming to their car. I pulled away from Travis and looked at the car next to us. Travis didn't seem to realize that the car beeped. He probably didn't realize anything but me. I froze as I saw who it was. Travis was now kissing my neck as I while I watched them.

"Tr.. Travis." I whispered.

"Mmm?" He moaned besides my neck.

He moved to my jaw. "Travis." I said firmly now.

He stopped. I cleared my throat and Travis looked behind him to where I was staring. A frozen Gabriel and Sandra now stood by the silver ferarri.

"Oh." He said but I could tell that he liked the fact that my ex caught us in the act.

"Don't have to stop what you were doing for us. We were just leaving." Gabriel said before going into the car. He was obviously suprised and a bit angry.

"Oh la la. Naughty girl. Don't study Gabe. He jealous." Sandra said in a heavy accent. She gave me a thumbs up before jumping into the car. Gabriel raced off from the car park in full speed, his engine roaring.

"That was awkard." Travis said hugging me.

"I know, right?" I stated.

Travis opened the car door for me, "It's time to take you home."

"You're going to give me a ride home? I don't want to keep you back. I can travel." I said.

Travis smiled, "Don't be silly. Can't have my girl traveling anywhere when I have a car."

"I'll get my car in two weeks. So I won't be a burden." I stated.

"You are never a burden to me." He kissed me as I got in the car.

He started the car and drove off. The ride was short, especially with Travis driving at 240KM/H. We reached in front of my house. I was relucantly to go.

"I don't want to leave you." I stated honestly.

"Aww. Neither do I , sweetie." He leaned over and gave me a small kiss. We both knew that my parents were looking through the window at us, even if they were hiding.

"You could always call me. You got my number." He smiled.

I forgot I had back my cell. I returned the smile and opened the door and got out the car.

"I'll be here to pick you up around half seven in the morning for school." I heard Travis say to me.

Before I could reject, he pulled of, driving at full speed. He was so tricky. But I loved him. That truth finally sank in.

........................................................................................................................................................................................

"Mom! I think it's time to rinse it out." I shouted to my mother.

She came in with blonde hair and freshly put pink highlights. It made her look young and attractive.

"Is it time already?" She checked the bottle.

"Yeah. Hurry!" I exclaimed.

She put me under the water and quickly rinsed my hair. About five minutes passed.

She dried my hair and directed me to the mirror. My hair was now dyed Jet Black with pink high-lights in my side bang and dyed Hot pink on the lower part of my head. It looked okay but I loved my blonde hair more. Black hair suited me, strangely. Maybe later on, I could just leave it black.

It was fun to do these things with my mother. It was like doing make overs.

"It looks good." My mother complimented me.

"I don't know about this. But I am not going anywhere with this. I want to take it out." I complained.

Mom gave me a sad look, "Please atleast keep it for an hour."

I sighed, "Okay."

To help time pass quickly, I scanned my closet for what to wear the next day to school. It would have to be something nice. Travis was mine now and I wanted more reason for him to continue being mine. I gave up on trying to find something and texted Travis. I just couldn't get my mine off of him.

"Mom. An hour has passed." I called to my mother.

She groaned, "Already?"

"Yes. Come take it out now!" I said to her firmly.

She reluctantly got up and carried me to the bathroom. I sat waiting patiently for her to finish rinse.

"What is taking so long?" About fifteen minutes had passed.

"Umm. I think we have a problem." She said drying off my hair.

My heart skipped a beat. "What is it?"

"The dye isn't coming out." She said mouthing the word sorry.

I groaned, "Oh my God! Let me see the bottle."

My mother handed me the bottle. I read the label properly.

"Mom. This is permenate!" I exclaimed.

I looked in the mirror. How was I going to school like this? It would be a diaster. Imagine what people at school would think. Imagine what my friends would think. Or worse yet.

Imagine what Travis would think.
