River was flying the Tardis somewhere today, a planet she loved and wanted to be able to show the Gang and by chance maybe the Doctor has never been? What's the chances eh? Course she has. She has seen more stars than the Universe itself.
"So where are we?" J asks excited, and more so that River is still here, it's only been a week mind but still, okay maybe two weeks or three J has lost count to be honest.
"Ahh you will see, now you all might want to go put on something a little warmer,'' she smiles as she watches everyone leave curiosity filling their minds.
A few couple minutes pass and they are all back, the Doctor just in her scarth and jacket, with the added gloves that her fingers can come out and back into. Typical.
J has went and put on a big purple ish jacket and she has her hat scarf combination with what you'd call mittens? Rather than gloves. It's a polar bear one, the head is attached to the long scarfs part with the mitten/glove part also attached, it also had two Pom poms as ears on either side of the hat.
Graham has his big comfort jacket on and a grey scarf. He decided to not have gloves but had a hat.
Ryan just had his Jacket.
Yaz followed suit in Graham didn't have the gloves but everything else.
River follows Ryan with just a jacket.
"Right then gang ready?" The Doctor grins knowing where the are now she can sense it and of course she's been here, River could tell she smiles though she obviously loves this place as much as her.
"You know your mum took me here Once in my eleventh regeneration it was magical and wonderful", The Doctor says.
River took a mental note, to visit her younger self so she can bring him here.
"That's right common" River opens the Tardis doors.
The planet she took them too doesn't have a name, but it is covered in the most beautiful softest snow, it's cold but not overly cold, it had white glistening all over the tree branches and leaves. There is some white and black birds flying around not normal birds they are alien, and can talk. This is their home normally no humans or any other being but talking birds and all sorts of alien birds stay here, However some come to visit this place but you can't stay too much as they won't allow it, if you stay more than a day.
The sky is pure white with a hint of pink running through it, the sun shines but it's not exactly warm. The moon is out as well as the sun. The grounds snow is so soft as mentioned that even when you stand on it the snow will heal itself as you can say, a footprint doesn't get left.
"It's beautiful" Graham says as his breath escapes into the air.
"It's absolutely gorgeous" says Yaz.
"What they said" Ryan says looking around himself in awe.
"What do you think J?" The Doctor wonders seeing J's face reaction is rather not happyish.
"Mhm" she hums. "I don't ken" she says looking around.
"What do you mean sweetie?" River wonders.
"It's beautiful yes, super gorgeous the sky, but I really simply just hate snow" she says as gasps could be heard, she shrugs.
"Sweetie? Why on earth do you hate snow?" River was shocked.
"I just when it turns to ice and people fall and get hurt and it's super cold and it's snow" she says unamused by the snow at her feet.
"This is not normal snow you know" The Doctor says pointing her sonic in the air, "It can heal itself look" She moves spots as her footsteps cover up. She picks up some snow and it melts out her hands and moves itself back into the rest of the snow.
"See?" She says happily.
"Meh" is all J says walking along following a yellowish light across the snow, "What's that?" She points as a bird lands on her.
"Hey" she says startled, "Jesus."
"Do not follow the light do not leave this area" the Bird warns them all.
"Why not?" The Doctor is curious.
"Bad, bad Aliens will hurt yous" the little thing said "they have corrupted the area, there is no snow, no trees and just some metal looking building/ship they are trying to take over the planet." It sighs and flies away. They didn't actually know what was going on but some other aliens have landed and not moved.
"Now we have to investigate" Says J.
"Agreed, they can't take over this planet" Says River.
"I agree too, so let's go" The bird comes back and lands on the Doctor this time as she says 'Let's go'.
"You can't" it says.
"We can help, trust me I'm The Doctor, I've been here before" she smiles. Though saying that the atmosphere feels different.
"You have not been here before I would know I am the keeper, I take names, I make sure people leave when supposed to, my brother was before for the area here and there but" it starts to cry and crystal blue tears comes from the birds face "they killed him."
"Oh, I'm so sorry." The Doctor looks at River and thinks maybe this happened before River took her younger self.
"We will help, we will get rid of them do you know what's here?" She wonders.
"The Surox" It says, "They are a brownish, silver like being. I have no idea where they are from all I know they said they are the last five" the bird flies away again. After saying what it needed to and left.
"Oh,'' Says River "I thought they were wiped out many centuries ago?" She turns to her wife.
"You and I both".
"What are they doc?" Graham wonders.
"They are, well they were harmless but their planet was changing drastically and they as the stories said, could not fix it and the planet was scooped into a black hole." She spins.
"But they are the last ones so maybe they left but threatening this planet? Killing a bird? still no excuse let's go find out what's happening eh?" She turns walking towards the light.
A few hours have passed and the Doctor is still trying to reason with these creatures, it seems the five were the only ones to get away, they believe in all the rumors so they took their kids and left. For them their planet is currently being swallowed by the black hole they don't know that yet. But they are the first to have managed to leave and the only ones, well that the Doctor knows off.
The father of the trio was not so happy they tried to make them leave, the Doctor had promised to find them a better home, but they didn't want a refugee planet or anything like that he wanted them to stay here, he was emotional and in distress, however his wife didn't want to stay here.
However, the father had some sort of weird knife thing, it when thrown becomes a blade if directed at its object to hit then it clings to whatever it has hit like a bite but the teeth never leaving.
"You have to trust me, I can take you somewhere better than this place is not very good for staying long term considering there is only food directed to the flying birds." The Doctor Tried so hard to reason with him.
"Never" he yells " why should I?" He throws his knife thing, it misses the Doctor and a sound could be heard behind she assumed it hit the wall.
J grunts softly, as the knife latches itself into her side, she leaves it knowing everything will be fine she can sort it later right? She will be fine? however she did knock some weird bottle looking thing.
No one heard the grunt cause she dropped the bottle, when the Doctor and Gang including River and the family of Surox look around and towards J, she smiles lightly and Looks behind her.
This is another reason they didn't think the knife went anywhere but the floor behind the bottle or something they didn't think it would have hurt J she seemed fine.
They turn back around, "Look, I can take you to a planet that would benefit your family and you would be safe." The Doctor says.
"How do I trust you? Doctor?" He says a bit Wary for his family's sake.
"You just have to trust her, it ain't hard as she always gets us to the wrong point in time or wherever but she is very helpful and will get you guys there" says Ryan not really helping the situation.
However soon enough they agreed and left with the Doctor and gang.
River turns around to J "Hurry up sweetie you are trialling behind" she turns back around and J just groans.
The pain is slowly hitting her, she is trying her hardest not too regenerate as well.
"I so fucking hate snow" she sighs at herself.
"LANGUAGE!" River turns to her.
"Sorry Mum" J smiles through her pain.
"Are you okay?" River sees something is wrong.
"Yeah just tired" she lies as she speeds up a bit ignoring all the pain streaming through her body.
They were all in the Tardis and soon enough on A planet that takes in any species when things happen. Funny enough the name is 'Welcome', no one knows why it's named that just the planet called 'Welcome'.
"Welcome to Welcome Gang" The Doctor grins at her friends as they land.
"Are you serious?" Ryan laughs.
"Absolutely" River laughs, she is deadly serious.
"Oh, I'm so so so sorry" says Mr Lin as they found out they are the Lin's, he Looks at J with empathy.
"What?" Says Yaz looking towards J too.
"Why didn't you say anything" he asks J.
"Say what?" She laughs off holding her side grunting.
"I can see the mark, the knife leaves a distinct mark on the victim to the one who throws/owns it, in this case it's a blue mist that only I will be able to see before death takes over." He walks up to her.
"Death? J? What?" The Doctor goes into panic mode.
"When I threw the knife, it latched onto her I didn't mean it, I'm so so sorry." He says.
"J?" River tries to comfort her daughter as she grunts in more pain as it hits.
"No stay away" she yells as the pain gets worse and she falls to the ground.
"You have to let yourself regenerate" River says seeing she is holding back.
"I, I don't want too okay." She admits crying now.
"You have to sweetie" River says "Doctor!" She tells her wife to help.
"You're Mother is right you have Regenerate." She has tears in her eyes for her daughter. "It's going to hurt but you have too".
"I know it will hurt, that's why I don't want too. I have before remember" she screams in pain.
"I know sweetie but you have too" River worries for her daughter more now.
Soon enough though, J let's her self regenerate, "AHHHHHHHHH" she screams as her bones grow, her chest changes, her fingers grow in length, her feet grow her teeth change shape, her eyes change shape but stay the same colour.
Her hair grows long and wavy, it's a darker blonde somewhat chocolate but not at the same time, her cheeks go chubbier, her ears smaller and her nose a little smaller but still a button ish shape, her jeans become tighter and her shirt is larger on her, her jacket is somewhere between drowning her yet still suiting her. Her body becomes a little chubbier around the leg area but stays the same on the stomach area.
She stands up and opens her eyes properly, she sticks her tongue on the roof of her mouth and clicks it.
"Ooh, never could make that click before, oh god I'm glad I'm still Scottish that would have been super FRICKING bad, no offence. Wait" she says spinning, "MY JACKET" she takes it off and throws it on the floor "won't need you again" she laughs.
Everyone stands a little shocked, even River and the Doctor.
"Wait where am I? Who am I? Who are you?" She says right in at Mr Lin's face.
"Oh your the one that killed me well regenerated potatoes tomatoes" she says.
"I think it's tamata, tomato?" Ryan gulps.
"Perhaps?" she says right in his face now.
She pats her chest in front of Ryan he looks away, "Splendid, my boobs are smaller" she giggles Ryan just closes his ears, sticking his hands over them.
"Ahhh," she pulls her hair in front of her "Ned to dye it purple again great perfect just what I needed to do effort urg" she groans. "Wait" she takes her glasses off.
"THAT IS UNFAIR" she puts them back on. "Still pretty much blind" she pouts and spins.
"Taller" she says as she is face to face with her Mum almost her height, around the same height as the Doctor but just slightly taller. She was before shorter.
"Teeth feel funny" she snaps them together "mhmm I'm hungry" she feels her stomach rumble.
"Oooh a Hoagie not hard one of them in ages though we'd have to go to Scotland, so glad I'm still Scottish but it's more a deeper accent now. Intriguing, ooooh salt and chilli chicken, oooh peanut and pickle sandwich" she licks her lips.
"Actually no, that sounds rank as fuck" she says.
"Aye, aye, aye I know language" she says before anyone can say a thing.
"I canny believe I've actually bloody regenerated and I'm still having to wear glasses how unfair is that, like how on Earth how can they not just get tae" she spins leaving out the swear word.
"Oooh, I've gotta go change still hungry take me home to get food Mom" she yells at the Doctor.
"Mom?" The Doctor questions looking sad she likes being called Pa, sure it's weird she's a woman but still.
"Oh and Mum, can you please help me dye my hair? If not that's cool I'll ask mum back home" and off down the hall to her room J goes.
"I'm so sorry" says Mr Lin.
"It's okay," River smiles.
"That was too much in one go" Graham says
"Yep" says Yaz and she laughs.
Meanwhile J is in her room, she is throwing clothes from her wardrobe all over her bed. She decided she didn't like anything and went to the room filled with clothes.
"What to wear mhmm" she says as she spots a black and purple tartan skirt, "Splendid" she grabs it, it has a black belt with it as well.
She grabs a black high neck jumper. She puts on some fishnets, and She goes back and grabs her deep purple Doc martens. "Fantastic I still love Purple" she grins as she looks in the mirror, "and suit it".
She grabs a necklace, it has 'J' on it she puts it on, with an amethyst ring, and matching earrings as she puts her hair up in a braided bun.
She leaves two strands of hair out at each side of her face, she grabs a sleeveless denim coat that's an almost deep blue colour she loved it.
She looks and thinks out loud "Need to get my piercings back." And she leaves back to the console room.
"Whatcha all think?" She spins.
"Beautiful" says River laughing at her daughters excuitment, Regeneration always fun, she thinks.
"Looking good" says Yaz.
"I like the jacket," Ryan says.
"You look lovely but this is all so weird so Doctor you really were a man before?" Graham says admiring he didn't really believe it.
"Yep, and you look great J" she tells her daughter.
"Thank you where did the Lin's go?" She wonders.
"Oh they left you took ages by the way like nearly an hour." The Doctor laughs, "We are now on earth, 2019, it's New Years, tomorrow" The Doctor smiles "You wanted a Hog a what?"
"A Hoagie" she laughs, "meat of your choice in a wrap, or naan bread , that's the best a nan one with chips, cheese and salad and sauce" she licks her lips, "I'll have a chicken tikka one" she makes an odd face realising.
"You never had one?" She wonders across the room.
"Nope" Yaz Shakes her head.
"Nah, me neither" Graham pipes in, "but sounds good"
"Same" Ryan admits too.
"Us too" River says for her and The Doctor, she nods in agreement.
"Awee wit? It's sooooooo gid though like really darn delicious" she says looking amazed "they don't sell them in England then?" Thought that was just some parts that didn't do it". She shrugs.
"Let's all get one?" Everyone agreed with her.
"Great, absolutely great it's on you Pa" she says noticing she didn't like the Mom earlier, The Doctor smiles warmly at her.
"Heyyyy" she says as J walks out the Tardis.
"It's okay sweetie, I have money" River says
"Thank you" The Doctor kisses her cheek following the rest out.
And there they were, inside an Indian takeout waiting on their takeout, before they get back and watch Charmed, as J wanted to see if she would still love it. Fair to say she did.
