Geno's POV
"Geno, please. Wake up. Come on, Geno."Reaper's voice says
"He wants you to come back, don't you hear him?"A voice says
"Ya, and he is sincere about it. Like any Reaper is to their Geno."A second says
I look around and see the other Geno and Reaper hovering above me. Both of them were from Goth's timeline. His parents.
"I do."I say
"Then why don't you wake up?"Reaper says
"You try getting your code taken and replaced, then I'd like to see you try waking up! Come on, Reaper. You should know better."Geno says
I watch as the two bicker. I stay quiet. Reaper goes quiet. The other Geno looks at me and sees the same wound that E!Pap pointed out.
"What's this from?"He asks
"The code test....Wasn't the first on me. I know that I won't last the code one since that one didn't. This wound is a reminder of that."I say
"What? Why didn't you tell someone? Why'd you hide it?"Geno asks
"I didn't want to worry anyone. They were all stressed and worried enough as it is. Especially E!Pap. Plus the minions told me that if I spoke of the test, the others will get the same test but at a worse level. I didn't want that!"I explain
"Reaper, you know what to do."Geno says
The Reaper nods and leaves my sight.
"Well it seems that the wound is holding you back. But that can be fixed. One thing is certain, you have to wake up."The other Geno says
"Is everything ok?"I ask
"Eh, could be better."He says
"What do you mean?"I ask as he heals the wound with code
"You and your friends are escaping but they're having trouble. Reaper needs you."He tells me
Right after he said that, there's a yell.
"AAAGGH!"I hear Reaper yell
"Reaper!"I shout
"Go on, wake up. Also, forget the promise. I'll still visit but I know you all are close now so there's no need for a promise to hang over your head. Go!"Geno says, completing the code
I look at him and nod. I shut my eyes.
When I open them, there's a bright light that welcomes me. So many colors. So blurry. I couldn't make anything out. All I hear is ringing and muffled voices. It was like something just went off. I look around and see a big wall of black blurs. A figure with some blurry glitches stands on one side of these blurs, their "arms" out to hold the blurs up. A bunch of blurry figures were on the other side, trying to break through. I look around and see who I assume to be my friends around me, standing and preparing attacks. A blur wearing a blue jacket steps back and their hands raise to their face. They then reach out and snap, bringing another blur to them.
"What the? Blue!"The blue blur says
"Dust!"The second shouts
"What are you doing here?"The first, Dust I guess, says
"Making sure you're okay!"Blue says
I get greeted by this blurry sight next. It was a blur, but I still find it sweet.
I look up curiously, trying to figure out my surroundings. I see the other Geno and Reaper hovering above me. They wave, smiling. I wave back weakly. Their the first thing I see that isn't blurry. They wink at me.
"Have fun!"They say, then fade from sight.
I blink and look around. Slowly, everything becomes clear. The blurs with the bunch on the other side were really minions stuck behind a bone wall. The figure holding them up was actually two figures. E!Pap with Error on his shoulders. I look to the blurry duo and find that they really were Blue and Dust. Currently, they are preoccupied by a hug.
I snap and weakly heal the wounds on Dust before Blue can see, but Dust's jacket still tells a story. Dust was slowly lowering Blue's hood to place a hand behind his skull but both of them were happy. I see the crack in Dust's soul growing so I quickly change some code so that Dust can now hide that info on his soul from Blue. He jumps once I confirm this update.
"Everything okay?"Blue asks
"Ya...I think so."He says
"Good!"Blue says
Dust checks his stats and abilities behind Blue's back, literally. He sees the new ability and quickly activates it.
"Thanks guys!"He says, looking to the Error brothers
"FoR tHe bOnE wAlL? No pRoBlEm!"E!Pap says
"That's not what I meant...."He mutters
"Well, wHat eLsE do yOu mEaN? We'Re bUsy kEePiNG tHesE iDioTs aWaY!"Error says
"If you guys didn't....then who...? Nevermind."Dust says, looking at me
Ink comes over and looks at Dust. I notice a wound in Ink's arm that wasn't there before, as well as many other injuries. But an arrow was in his arm.
"You're healed too! Amazing!"Ink says
Blue looks at Ink and plucks the arrow out of his arm. Ink is pulled into the hug as well. They have some happy, reuniting moments. I watch and look around, hardly able to keep my eyes open. I can't spot Reaper. Things are still clearing up from blurriness, there's still some slight ringing and my skull is pounding. Blue looks and sees me.
"OH MY STARS! GENO!"Blue cheers
Everything shook. I turn my head and see Reaper. I realize that I'm in his arms. But he doesn't realize I'm awake.
"Ya...he isn't doing so well."He says
"R....Reaper?"I weakly say
He looks at me in pure shock.
"Reaper!"I say, then cough from the pain
"Geno!"Reaper exclaims, hugging me closer and tightly
"Ack! R-Reaper!"I struggle to speak
He holds me tighter.
"Too tight!"I exclaim
"SeNsEi oF hUgs, rEleAsE GenO!"E!Pap says
"Oh, whoops!"He says, softening his grip and keeping me close
"Wait, you taught him how to hug like that?"Ink asks
"Well, yeah. He didn't show me any of his attacks like I now see he can do."Reaper says
"YoU wAnTeD mE tO fIghT yoU! A fRiEnD! Of CoUrSe I wOn'T sUmMon aNyThInG!"E!Pap says
"Reaper...."I say
"Geno, I'm so sorry! I didn't want to hurt you I swear! I-I-!"Reaper says, beginning to get worked up
"Are you okay?"I ask, stopping him before he starts to cry
"Am I okay?! What about you?"He responds
"Answer the question....Please..."I say
"I'm fine!"He tells me
"Then why'd I h-hear you yell in pain?"I ask
"The other Reaper was messing with my skull."He says
"Wait, so those spirits above you both were alternate versions of you?"Dust asks
Reaper nods.
"And what are you doing here?"I ask
"For you! I don't want to lose you!"He says
"Reaper...."I say
"I love you, Geno!"He cries, his face gaining color
I feel my face warm up. I hold him gently.
"Please put me down, I want to stand."I say
"O-Of course."He stutters, putting me down.
I walk around Reaper to check him for injuries. I limped but dealt with it. I see a minion break a bone in the wall and leap through. The minion begins to charge at the two Error brothers, who were busy focusing on the crowd, majority of minions. I fire a bone attack, pinning them down. Error looks at me and smiles. He mouths a silent thank you so E!Pap doesn't realize the danger they were just in. I turn to Reaper who has turned to face me now. I feel something hit my back and I get knocked forward. Reaper grabs me and pulls me close to him protectively. I look up at him.
"Reaper...."I say
"I got you, Geno. I'll protect you."He tells me
"Reaper...I..."I say
He has to know now, right? E!Pap had a backup person, dunno who, but someone to give it to Reaper. He must have gotten it and read it, right? So he must know. Maybe now I can show him.
I hesitantly place a a hand by his cheek.
"G-Geno?"He stutters
"I....love you too."I whisper, leaning in
Then, before he could react, I lean in and kiss him. I see his face ignite and feel my face burn. I shut my eyes and enjoy this moment.
I pull back and look at him with a smile. He looks at me in shock.
"W-What was that for, Geno?"He asks
"And it is confirmed! Reaper is a deaf boi! And blind!"Dust says
"What? No I'm not!"Reaper snaps
"Then repeat what he said before he kissed you and see the signs around you."He says
"I didn't hear but if I was deaf I wouldn't have heard you either. The nearest sign says STRAIGHT AVE."Reaper says
"Not the signs I was talking about."Dust says
"Geno, I gave it to him but he didn't read it. Claims to never have had the time."Blue says
"Oh, ok then."I say, bowing my head
He didn't read it. He didn't hear me. He doesn't know.
I feel like a big idiot now. I hide my burning face and look away from him. I go over to Ink and he hugs me.
"Thank the stars you're okay."Ink says
"Heh, that and two spirits."I tell him
"Who even were that Geno and Reaper?"Ink asks
"Goth, Raven and Shino's parents."I tell him
"Ah, okay."Ink says
"Is everything okay?"Reaper asks
"You have some reading ahead of ya, bud."Blue says
I stay beside Ink but then look up. Minions were jumping over the bone wall from the surrounding rooftops. Others began firing at us from the roofs.
"We should get out of here. Error! E!Pap! Come on! Leave the bone wall!"I say
"Huh, wha-OH sHOoT!"Error says, noticing this too
Dust looks at Blue. Blue looks right back at him. Something was going through their heads. Then I hear them speak. Mistakenly at the same time.
"I won't let them get hurt. Or you."They say
Dust's face went bright when this happened. I noticed they started to glow. Both of them. Then, they disappeared. Instead, now stands a skeleton much bigger than us. They have a jacket like Dust's mixed with a lighter blue, dark pants, blue shoes, Blue's scarf, one of Blue's eyes and one of Dust's eyes. And they are freaking tall. Like a building kind of height.
"Woah!"Ink says
The figure says nothing. The minions still fire at us but the figure deflects them. They untie their scarf and lower it to us.
"Get on!"They say
E!Pap carries Error and drags Ink onto the big scarf. I go on with Reaper following. They tie the ends of the scarf to their wrist and make a run for it. This shift makes us all fall forward. Error falls on E!Pap and I while Ink falls on me alone. No biggie, we have bigger worries at hand. Besides, Ink is small and very light. The two grip onto us tightly in order not to fall off of the scarf as they run. Reaper reaches out and holds my hand.
"Everything okay, Geno?"He asks sincerely
I feel my face burn at him holding my hand. I was internally yelling but I still feel like an idiot. Ink looks up at them in pure amazement.
"Wait! I remember Shino's show! Oh, how does it go? Hmm, giant something."Ink says, trying to lighten the mood
"Oh! I kNoW InKy! AlL I wAnnA dO iS sEe yOu tUrN iNtO a GiaNt sKeLeton, giAnT sKeLetOn!"Error says jokingly
"Guys, now's not the time."Dust's voice says
They go silent, but Error chuckles. I stay quiet, gripping the scarf and Ink. Reaper holds my wrist. I don't look at him, wanting to try to calm down. Reaper tries to get my attention but fails. He releases my hand. That makes me panic. I turn to look at him. He's rolling off the scarf. I reach out and grab him. I pull him close, hugging him and gripping the scarf.
"G-Geno?"He stutters
"I got you, Reaper."I tell him
"Why's your face so red?"He asks, feeling my face with a hand on my cheek
"No reason! J-Just focus on the problems at hand!"I say, looking away and holding him close still
I could feel my face burning even more and the fact that he had his hand on my cheek didn't help things. My soul is racing.
"Geno? Are you okay?"He asks
"Yes! Now please get your hand off my cheek!"I say
"Sorry, Geno."He tells me, but nuzzles his head against mine
"Q-Quit it!"I tell him
He makes my soul race. He gives me a small smile.
"Reaper, you are not funny!"I say
"I know.~"He says
I look up.
"And you say he didn't read it!"I snap
"I didn't read the page."Reaper says
I look at him. I see his honesty. Dunno if that makes me feel better or worse.
"Geno?"He says
"What?"I ask
"You're cute an I'm so glad you're ok!"He says
I look away.
"....Same to you."I whisper
I look around and see something get launched from a roof. It lands, tripping Blue&Dust.
A phone rings.
Error's.
He answers.
"Hey, Error? How you doing there?"Cross' voice says
"I'm a lItTlE bUsY nOw, CrOsS! We AlL ArE!"Error says
"Please, get outta there then and get back here!"Nightmare says
Blue&Dust get hit, the scarf shaking. I go sliding out of it, releasing Reaper.
I come face to face with a ticking timer. I see explosive counterparts as well as viles of unknown liquids. I know what it is.
"BOMB!"I yell
Right then, it explodes. I get blinded and shut my eyes.
Cross' position on the call
"Error? Dust? Reaper? Someone? Anyone! Answer me! Please!"I say
Static but no answer.
"Ugh.."I groan in annoyance, hanging up
"What?"Nightmare asks
"Lost contact with them."I reply
He looks at me, taking in a deep breath.
"....FU-"He yells
