The Hero license exam has begun and the entire room was filled with high school contestants, ready to pass this exam with ease or ready to be tossed in the ringer and bracing themselves for the struggle they'll face in here. The stadium was a modern building. It is large enough to accommodate several hero students, as well as various environmental settings for simulation purposes but the annoyance was that there was so much people in the room that it was insanely cramped. There wasn't much breathing room. There were also a lot of eyes that held nervousness and fear in them.
Some of them were Delsin's own classmates, mainly being Mineta, Kaminari, Ojirio and Sero. They were freaking out the most cause they were so many intimidating people in the cramped room that it was hard not to feel their hard glares, even when their across the room. Though the most glares were on our number one hero to be. All around the room, students from various different schools all over the country were eying Delsin. As Shishikura said, it was due to the news station that filmed his fight with All For One.
"Why the hell is that guy here?!". "Is he really that strong to go up against All Mights arch nemesis and still come out alive?!". "How is this even fair?! It's like putting a pro against all us rookies! I know U.A. is where all the more qualified heroes go but this guy should be taking a more harder advanced test! Not lumped in with us normies!". Those were the comments some of the students in the room were thinking but the more important ones, were all eyeing him like a snack.
'You think you're so much better than us, don't you Rowe? You have no Idea who you're messing with....I've gotten stronger as well, way stronger than I was before and you always still be beneath me!' Max thought as he glared at him. 'I knew he would be here but I'd never thought I'd get the chance to fight him for real. You, Rowe, will be a worthy opponent to face off in this test should we ever cross paths' Yoarashi thought with a huge grin on his face. Seji saw the smirk he had while gazing at Delsin and sighed.
'What a bummer! Yoarashi has already called dibs on Rowe, pity. I was gonna take him, to teach him a lesson on respecting his peers and not underestimate them. Well, I guess I'll take that explosion boy over there. He looks like fun....' he thought. Even some of Rowe's own classmates were sizing him up. 'I won't lose to him! Not again!' both Todoroki and Bakugo thought, glaring at Delsin's back. Midoriya, Iida, Uraraka and Yaoyorozu all moved up to Delsin's position and stood by him.
"Boy, there are a lot of people looking at you, Rowe-kun. And they're not friendly gazes either" Iida pointed out the obvious. "Yeah I know, they really are not feeling me at all huh? Seiji was right" Delsin replied. "This is bad, they might all target you....since you're so powerful, they might try to take you out early" Uraraka feared, not wanting her friend to fail, despite their differences lately. "I won't fail. I....I can't afford to" he said as he looked down at his hand, getting concerned looks from both Momo and Izuku.
"Delsin-kun....". "Look its starting!" Izuku bolted out to say, pointing to the stand where a very sleep deprived man stood on stage. He looked to be a middle-aged man who overall looks disheveled, with a tired-looking face and unkempt hair and clothes. He has light colored hair that falls onto his ears. In his appearance, he wore a 2-piece suit. He has a dark gray suit, a black tie accompanied with dark shoes. The first button of his shirt is undone and his tie is loose. "Hello" he greeted depressed like. "My name is Yokumiru Mera. I will be supervising the Hero license exam. Yayyy...." he cheered in a tired unenthusiastic tone, kinda depressing the students more than they already are.
"So heres the dilemma I'd like to get out of the way before we begin. They're are WAY too many students to take the Hero license exam this year. Supposedly, we are to prepare only 100 participants, today we have 1540 students in this very room, computer attendance doesn't lie" he said before taking a large water bottle and began sipping on it for more than 5 minutes. 'Is this guy for real?' every student thought. Once he finished his drink, he turned to the crowd. "Anyway, so in order to lessen the number of you, we're gonna do a bit of a elimination round, if you will". That grabbed the student's attention.
"So the activity will be considered part of the exam, more like you making try outs for a team. Now, for this part of the exam, it's all about speed basically....". That made Delsin smirk. It was his type of match. Only a select few in his life in high school has anyone even hoped to keep up with Delsin in terms of speed. "For this match, each of you will take these stick on targets and place them anywhere on your body that is visible. You absolutely can not place it on your armpit or feet otherwise that's immediate disqualification" he expressed.
"Each examinee will be given six balls to keep on their person. With these balls, you are to use them to hit the targets; the target will light up when it is hit by a ball and once the third target is lit up, that examinee is considered as out and disqualified. Whoever lights up the third target will be considered as the person who took down the other person. The goal of the preliminary round is to take down two examinees using the six balls given and whoever takes down two people will pass the preliminary round and qualify for the Provisional Hero License Exam. Simple right? Its like dodgeball, but you have two more lives instead of just dying instantly".
The students all nodded their head in understanding. "Okay, good. Well hand out your targets and balls in a minute after the exam starts so get going!" Mera said as he slammed a button that lowered down the walls of the room, revealing that the students were inside the stadium the whole time. Mina jumped around Todoroki and smiled. "Look I see Mr. Aizawa! HEY MR. AIZAWA! HI!" the pink skinned girl waved at her teacher.
Aizawa, who was in the bleachers with Ms. Joke, sighed. "Damnit Ashido-san..." he sighed as he watched her student act a fool during a very serious situation. "Hahaha! Don't be mad at her, Shota, she's cute. Kinda reminds of myself. It's better you didn't tell them of the U.A. crush tradition". Aizawa sighed. He may not like it but he felt super nervous for Delsin. He technically was being targeted from the beginning. "dammit!" he muttered.
On the battlefield, the class was running around, trying to find a good distance so they can co operate and come up with a decent plan. "Okay!" Midoriya started. "The most obvious tactic is to stay together". "Oh hell no! I'm not gonna stay lumped up with you losers, I'm going alone!" Bakugo said. "B-But Kaachan-". "WHAT PART OF 'I DONT WANNA BE AROUND YOU' DON'T YOU FUCKING UNDERSTAND! JUST STAY OUT OF MY WAY DEKU! WEIRD HAIR, YOU COMING?!". "It's Kirishima! And hell yeah, wait up! Good luck guys, I'm rooting for ya!" Kirishima said as he ran off with Bakugo.
Todoroki moved off in silence as well. He feared he'll interfere with everyone's progress if he took his quirk to the max. He'll have to go away for them and him to truly thrive. Delsin was thinking along the same lines. He began to sneak away but Momo grabbed his arm, wrapping it up with her arms. "Where are you going?" she asked. "I'm going to go off on my own for this portion". "Delsin-kun no, you don't-". "Don't worry, I will be fine, and you will too. You'll do great. I can't fully test myself with everyone around me, it's too dangerous.....". Momo looked sullen at that statement but she couldn't help but agree with it. Delsin's quirk is way too powerful for anyone to near him.
If he tends to let loose his all out power, then being near him isn't wise but it doesn't mean she has to like it though. Delsin sighed as he saw her pouting face. "I don't know if we'll get our points deducted for this but what the hell...". He instantly grabbed her and kissed her passionately, making her moan slightly but once he released her, he took off in a full sprint if light, leaving her in a love struck daze and the class 'aww'ing before they decided to huddle up and stick together.
Delsin ran away from the group and head to a safe location to think. He knew what was about to happen and he wasn't stupid enough to stay in the limelight. Every time U.A. enter these exams, the other schools gang up and target them first because they know their whole fighting style thanks to the Sports Festival, another reason to hate that stupid thing. Delsin had to be extra careful too because he had strong people after his head so he couldn't be fooling around here. Delsin moved around the area in a stealthy fashion.
He'd rather scope out the school and take them out. He was really good at hiding whenever he wanted to. "Well.... Well.... Well, look at what we have here....". '.....Shit....' he thought. He thought he'd have a bit more time before he had to deal with him but alas, there time was now. Delsin turned around to see Max in his hero costume.
"Max....." Delsin said as he activated his Conduit mode, shocking Max at his level of growth and power he was showing, making him mad all the more. "Rowe. You've grown strong.....heard you went through some pretty interesting obstacles since we last saw one another.....you faced off against real villains and came out on top. You had the experience that I would only dream of having....". Delsin frowned, already not liking where this was heading. "And? What of it? What does that have to do with anything?". Max glared hard at him as he flexed his muscles, absorbing the energy from the sun and enhancing his strength.
"All my life, I wanted to become a hero. My whole life I've trained to be the very best at what I do so that no one can best me....but you.... You got to face the worst of the worst, you were put to the test but now I wanna test myself, by fighting and defeating you, I will prove to myself that I am a worthy hero to be!". Delsin frowned as he looked at his former bully. "Well then.....". Delsin then flashed right at the side of Max, showing he was still slightly shorter than the former bully but he still stood proud. "......Go on make it happen" (where is that from?).
Both boys spun around and countered each others blows simultaneously. Once they realized that, they both took a jump back, feeling each other out. Max took the time to absorb the attack from Delsin and added it to his fists. He then moved to charge at Rowe, going to throw the attack right back at him. The Conduit Mode user tried blocking the attack but it sent him skidding on the ground a little bit but the strength behind it was weak. 'Right, because he can also absorb Kinetic energy as well..... Max's quirk is soooo annoying' he thought as he looked down to see Max quickly grab a ball from his pouch. "OH hell no!" Delsin shouted as he grabbed ahold of him, surprising Max with his tight grip. He then used his heel to swing it in Max's ribs, causing him to curl his body to the side, letting Delsin Smoke Dash right above Max, still having his hold on him.
When he did, Delsin was upside down but moved swiftly to allow gravity to let him fall on his feet perfectly to then use his awesome strength to pick Max up and slammed him down the ground with superior strength, creating a ground tremor. He then grabbed the ball from the bully in hopes of trying to hit his targets. Delsin saw one on his left shoulder blade, aiming for that, he moved to strike it with the ball but Max grabbed his hand. The two fought for that ball in hopes of getting one another's target. Unfortunately though, Max had absorbed the quick energy from the contact of the ground he was slammed down on and the heat from Delsin's gloved hands.
He had absorbed all of it and transformed it into his muscles, providing strength. So when he transformed it, he let go for 2 seconds to allow
him to uppercut Delsin off him, making the Conduit Mode user fly back. Max got up from the ground to dust himself off while Delsin wiped his mouth from any spit or blood. The two stared at each other. They knew from the get go that this fight will go on for a while. Delsin's quirk allowed him to control and manipulate energy and matter while Max's quirk allowed him to absorb energy and store it in himself to make himself stronger. These two can cancel each other out but the question was, which one can reach their limit faster.
As the two eyed each other, they were about to attack one another when all of a sudden, Delsin saw a ball coming from out of no where to hit Max on his shoulder blade, hitting the target causing it to light up, shocking the two. Suddenly though, more ball attacks kept raining down on the two. Delsin used Laser Focus to help counter all the fast balls while using Light Speed to dodge all the attacks. He then jumped behind cover. Max, used wall nearby to jump behind while grunting. "Dammit! I can't believe I let my guard down!" he growled. Delsin meanwhile, was scanning the arena for the ones who attacked him and Max.
'Everthing just happened so fast, I can't even pinpoint where the attacks were coming from? It couldn't be from Max's school because then I would only be a target nor my school because only he'd be a target. So that eliminates 2 schools out of..... I don't even know how many!' he thought. Delsin looked out but only spotted four people. One person wore a primarily black suit and a black mask that covers most of his face, along with a metal headband and belt, and also shoulder, knee, and elbow guards. He also has metalic hands with hoses at the finger tips, and are very short. His hair is covered by a hood, and his eyes are grey.
Another two wears a primarily yellow suit and a black mask that covers most of their face, along with a metal headband and belt. He also has shoulder, knee and elbow guards. Both boys is very well built and are similar in style except one has their eyes shown on the left and the other has their eyes shown on the right. The last one had on a primarily green suit and a black mask that covers most of their face, along with a metal headband and belt. He also has shoulder, knee, and elbow guards. "Heh! Looks like we found him. He seems to be in a spout with that Ketsubutsu student too. We'll take them both out!" the Green one said.
Delsin cursed. Aizawa was right. There would be people out for his head in this thing. He could oy imagine Yoarashi running to his location right now just to fight him too. If that happened, he'd be utterly screwed. He needed to be done with these clowns quickly cause he was loosing time on this. Delsin sighed. He looked over his hiding spot but saw one of the yellow coloured students above him. He grabbed Rowe by his arm and threw him to the side. Unknowingly, right into Max, who was found and tossed by the other yellow student, too.
Delsin frowned as he glared up at the students. "What the hell?! Who are you guys anyway?!". The one in the black suit spoke. "We are students of the Seijin academy, students who hone and master our arts of quirks with compassion and discipline. He are many yet we are one....." he said. Delsin frowned in annoyance. He moved slightly, only to get shot by water, but he was swiftly able to jump away in speed, surprising the group. Max jumped away too, going the opposite direction Delsin went, hoping to split them up.
The one in black frowned in anger. "Shit! They slipped away so easily, you two were supposed to hold them down!" he yelled at the two in yellow, who scratched their heads sheepishly. The green one spoke in frustration. "Okay, you and I Will take each of the yellow and track these guys down, Rowe won't get away!" he said to the black robed student, who nodded his head. After that, the two newly formed groups dispersed as they went to chase they're selective target. Delsin was running away with regular speed. He knew he was being chased by them but he wasn't afraid.
Who would personally be afraid of bathrobe wearing ninja wannabes? Like they weren't even as coordinated as they try to be, hence his easy escape. But he needed points and time was short so he needed to be done with these idiots. He heard their footsteps behind him, he couldn't lie, they were really fast. Delsin turned around but he immediately had to block a huge fist from knocking him out. He put up his forearms to block the fast attack and grabbed the yellow students hand and threw him to the other side.
The green ninja stood a bit back but when Delsin approached him, he raised his hands and the Conduit Mode user was pushed back. "What the hell?!" he shouted. When he flew back, the Yellow ninja grabbed Delsin by the back of his neck, then slammed him to the ground, creating great tremors. "Your power is acc quite disappointing, really. I was expecting more" the Yellow ninja said. Delsin sighed as the dude put more pressure on him to stay on the ground. Delsin sighed in annoyance.
"Well, I have more to GIVE!" Delsin said as he elbowed the guy in his mouth. The green ninja raised his hand and a weird force pulled Rowe towards him. The ninja jumped out the way which made Delsin crash into a wall that made him groan. The yellow ninja ran up and punched his back, making him crack through the wall. Delsin groaned in pain but shook it off as he moved with a white smoke dash, causing the yellow ninja to punch the wall where he previously was. Delsin stared at the two in an analyzing glances.
'Okay, so the yellow guy has a strength enhancing quirk so he isn't that much of a problem, the tricky one will be the green guy, who's quirk allows him to pull objects to him. I should watch myself around him. He could possibly push objects to so he has telekinesis almost....' Delsin thought. The yellow one charged at Delsin in a great amount of speed but Delsin jumped over him. He tumbled over the ground and while he did, he grabbed a piece of dirt. He then felt the force of the air pull him towards the green ninja.
Delsin used his gravity manipulation power to redirect the force of his quirk to redirect itself, allowing him to force his body around. Delsin threw dirt in the green ninjas eyes to distract him while Delsin quickly smoke dash around the yellow ninja as he ran up to punch him but since Delsin moved so fast, he ended up punching the green ninja, his teammate, knocked him out cold from his superior strength. "W-What?! How did he-". "Boy, I thought this would be a lot harder, totally let down!" Delsin said behind the Yellow ninja. The man turned to hit Delsin but said teen grabbed the fist and bent it, making ninja kneel.
"W-Why are you s-so strong?!". Rowe smirked. "Because I have a goal to achieve. I can't be held back by a couple of punks, I cannot!" Delsin said as he pulled out one if their balls and put it on their targets, taking them out the game letting him succeed. After tying them up to a pillar with some of their own ninja wire and headed back to the main building, where all the students are to go when they win. As he made it into the building into the main area, he saw Max, Todoroki, Yoarashi and a few others but mostly, the room was dead, not a lot of students passed yet.
He moved to Todoroki but Max blocked his path when he walked up to him. "See you're still slow as ever huh? I beat you here by half an hour. Shows I'm still the best". He glared at Rowe and gave his superior smirk but was astonished to see him walk right past him, heading over to the Half Hot Half Cold user. "Hey Shoto....." he said, completely ignoring Max.
Delsin sighed as he sat down beside the half and half teen. "Well, damn Shoto, I guess this is one of those times you beat me in a race" Delsin smirked. Todoroki smirked, inwardly grinning that he finally beat Rowe at something. "Yes, it is an accomplishment" he said, playing it cool.
Yoarashi jumped in front the two with vigor, a happy smile was on his face. "HAHAHA HAHAHAHA THIS IS ASTONISHING. ROWE-SAN, I WAS LOOKING ALL OVER FOR YOU IN THERE! I WAS MEANING TO CHALLENGE YOU TO A GLORIOUS BATTLE FIT FOR GODS! HAHAHAHA!" Delsin sighed in annoyance. Something deep inside home told him it was better he didn't fight this guy. "Y-Yeah, a pity we didn't face off huh? Oh well, maybe next round" Delsin smiled nervously. Soon though, Aizawa popped 8n the building. "Rowe-San, Todoroki-san, congrats on becoming the first two in the class to pass the first round" the teacher said.
The two U.A students smirked at their teacher. "But that isn't the only reason why I came here, Rowe, you have a visitor, on the outside of the stadium" Aizawa said. That made Delsin raise his eyebrows. "Huh? For me?" He said in confusion. Aizawa nodded his head and stood by Todoroki. Rowe stood up from his seat and walked over to the door, heading out to the exit of the stadium. He wondered if it was Betty that came. It would explain why Aizawa came and got him given he feels like a bit of a father towards him, though its a bit much.
Delsin sighed as he made it towards the stairs outside the stadium. When he looked around he noticed that the person waiting for him was not his aunt but his placement mentor, Zeke. "Oh....hey, Zeke. What's up? Came here to see me kick ass?!" Delsin smiled as he greeted his friend. The policeman looked at Delsin with a grin. "Oh I would love to see that brother, but I have some business to attend to. You know, secret spy stuff" Zeke said, acting all inconspicuous like.
Delsin rolled his eyes. "Since when were you a spy? You're a detective who has a spy network but you yourself are a cop, a crooked one at that since most of your spys are crimi-". "SHUUUUUSHHHHH! you're such a snitch, kid, jeeezzz!" Zeke said, slapping a hand on Delsin's mouth. Said teen sighed while he blushed in embarrassment. He did blurt out one of the man's secrets. "Alright, my fault. So, why are you here, is the security out of whack again?" that was the moment where the air around the two tensed. Zeke's face changed from playful to serious, so serious it kind of alarmed Delsin.
"No, that's not it. I.... Came here to ask you to hold on to this for me. I feel like this will be better in your hands than in mine....". Delsin felt Zeke grab his hand and place a USB in his hand. "Whats on it?" Delsin asked. Zeke moved to walk past him. "I advise you don't open it until a certain time. It wouldn't make sense if you did so now. Something..... Big will soon play itself soon and I feel you will be the key to ending it, Delsin. Watch yourself..... You journey to become the greatest person in history, is beginning" he said, walking down the stairs to his car, ultimately confused and utterly terrified Delsin.
He couldn't even begin to wrap his head around the situation that just occurred with the inventor. He looked down at the USB he had in his hand and frowned. "Why the hell would he give me this thing? What's on it?" Delsin thought out loud but decided on to dwell on it. He ran to the changeroom to put the USB in his clothes pocket. He couldn't keep it on his person as his costume has no pockets. His mind was racing with a million questions at the moment but he was most worried as what was about to go down soon. Usually, Zeke's hunches were rarely wrong so it gave him even more reason to worry.
"But now's not the time! I gotta get back! The others must've finished this part of the exam by now!" Delsin said as he ran back to the common area, where all the students would be. In the shadows, Three people were seen. "Alright, they split, let's do our jobs!" Alex said. "Right!" the two females said as they all split up, ready to start the plan.

I also want to apologize like shit, I feel suuuuuupppppeeeeerrrrr bad about the long wait for chapters like I'm just doing a lot of school stuff and when I'm home, I'm beat like shit, its just finding the time to write so I apologize. I can say I will promise to try and get chapters up faster but seeing as I have a lot to do, that'll be a blatant lie. Just know I'm not quitting this book, trust👍
