You were awoken by a knock on your door; you groaned out out frustration and walked towards the door; you opened it to find the mail man.
"This is for you" he said as he handed you a wrapped small box.
You frowned in confusion yet accepted it
You signed the paper; and closed the door
You took the mini box and place it on your table. As you were tearing it open you were truly thinking...who would send you anything?
You opened it to find a diary... a brown wrecked diary
You were so confused yet slightly terrified.
It contained such horrific things, most were depressing but so horrific and horrible.
You gasped as you read the line
"Y/n has the most bayutiful smile"
{that's how Arthur would've spelt it}
Erm okay
"Y/n will bee mine"
You closed the notebook and placed it on the desk. You went over to the box and tried to find a return address but you couldn't find it...that's impossible.
You decided to head off to bed and just clear your mind. You sat in bed thinking it must've been a prank from one of your friends. But that idea wasn't covering the fact that the notebook looked like it actually belonged to someone else that you did not know.
As you were asleep; you were awoke by tapping on your window. You shot right up and walked towards to window to find red lipstick stains over your window which read
"Put On A Happy Face"
You were scared at this point...you decided to call one of your close friends; Katy.
"H-hello?"
"Hey y/n you alright?"
"Please come over to my house now"
"Wait what's going on you seem all freaked out!"
"Just come now please!"
Moments later Katy arrived
She walked in with wet roses
"Why did you get me roses?" You laughed
"I didn't get them they were outside your door"
"What the fuck"
"What's going on y/n?"
You grabbed the notebook and handed it to Katy
"This was sent to me in the morning with no return address"
Katy's eyes winded as she read each line
"Bro this dude needs help"
"No return address? That means he physically left it by your door then"
"But the mail man gave it to me"
"Well maybe he saw it outside your door and just gave it to you"
"And look" you exclaimed as you held Katy's wrist and took her upstairs
You pointed at your window
"Put On A Happy Face?" She read in confusion
"That's creepy" she whispered
"I feel as if whoever's doing this is watching me right now" you panicked
"No no y/n from what I see you do have a stalker or an admirer but both are fucking creepy" she explained
"But in this weather he wouldn't be outside your house right now" Katy explained
Until we heard something being slot through my door
"Maybe I'm wrong" Katy spoke as she jumped
We both creeped downstairs to find a letter lying inside of the house by the door
Katy grabbed the letter and checked if the door was closed correctly which it was. Katy ran up to the room with y/n. Y/n locked her bedroom door.
Katy and Y/n sat on the bed opposite each other thinking if they should open the letter
"Y/n I'm here to witness anything" Katy said
"Open it"
You sighed and opened the letter
You began reading ahead;
"Seems like it was yesterday when we were both playing in my garden, you were the kindest friend I have ever had! Don't you remember when we were both small"
You frowned then slightly remembered
"Everyone is awful these days it's enough to make anyone crazy. Yet you stood out of all of them, I can't let go of you, I never will"
You looked at Katy
"Well...you see I'm not awful but who is this guy?" Katy asked
"I think I know"
"Well?"
"It's Arthur...Arthur Fleck"
