"I'm scared" you whimpered as you looked at Chenle.
"come on y/n, they'll love you" he holds you closer to him.
right now you were currently in front of Chenle's parents house. today Chenle's family is having a big dinner get together and Chenle was invited of course. obviously, Chenle told them that he would bring you to meet them so now here you are. Chenle said that they have very high expectations with females that he dates. plus Chenle had also said that they were a high class type, meaning that they had lots of money.
you looked at the mansion sitting right in front of you. the birds chirped loudly, and the water foundation was making it sound like a waterfall was placed right on the front lawn as well.
"uhh let's go back home shall we?" you try to head for car but Chenle grabs your hand tightly.
"you and I don't know how to drive" he chuckles pulling me.
"b-but we could as your limousine butler guy! you stuttered, trying to get out of his grip.
"you mean the chauffeur?" he questions as he drags you through the pretty front yard gardens.
"yes!" you shout not even sure what the word meant but you were sure it had to be something about the driver.
"baby please I really don't want to go anymore, I feel like i'm gonna have a heart attack" you whined as the two of you stood in front of the door.
"what if they don't like me? what if they don't think I'm worthy for you? what i-"
"stop, your worthy for me. plus I love you so if they don't like you then that's too bad" he squeezes your hand tightly.
"but-"
"no buts, I love you y/n even if my parents don't" he smiles before placing a kiss on your forehead.
Chenle presses on the door bell which made a few dings. sooner or later someone opens the door. it reveals a kid a bit older than us, he had a gummy smile and brown hair.
"oh Chenle!" the male shouts happily pulling my boyfriend into a hug.
"y/n this is Lucas my older brother!" Chenle smiles, the brothers having their arms wrapped around each other's shoulder.
"y/n?" Lucas questions as he looks up at me.
"lucas this is my girlfriend" Chenle smiles looking at me.
"oh welcome" the brown haired boy smiled.
"come on dinner's almost ready" Lucas says heading back inside the house.
"he seems nice...." you awkwardly say.
"come on y/n, don't worry I'll be right here" he pulled you inside the house.
"I know you will but I still have those thoughts" you huffed out.
"forget about those bad thoughts, I don't care what happens, all I care about is that I'm with you" he gives you a peck on the lips.
"your so cheesy but it's cute" you giggled as he chuckles.
Chenle leads you into the living room where a male and female sat on the white L shaped couch. a girl with black hair notices Chenle and smiles.
"ahh chenle!" she shrieks pulling Chenle in a tight hug.
"hello Hyemi!" Chenle chuckles letting go.
"hey Jaejin" Chenle smiles.
"hey there Chenle nice to see you again" Jaejin smiles back at him.
"oh y/n this is my sister Hyemi and her husband Jaejin!" Chenle moved over so you could see them properly.
"nice to meet you both, I'm y/n" you bow down, Chenle suddenly holds me.
"don't do that" he says softly as you gave him a little nod.
"this is y/n, she is my girlfriend" Chenle says proudly as he wrapped an arm around your waist.
"oh wow she's a cutie" Hyemi giggles as she shook your hand.
"thank you" you chuckled.
"dinner's ready everyone" you all faced Lucas who waved you guys over.
you headed to the dinner table where food is placed all around the table. you sat down next to Chenle, on the other side of you two was Hyemi, her husband and Lucas.
there were two empty spaces that were right next to each other. suddenly there were two adults coming out from the kitchen placing two more plates down. they sat in the two empty chairs.
"wow mom this looks delicious!" Lucas shouts excitedly.
"I cooked too!" chenle's father said, making everyone chuckle.
"oh who is that" the mother cocked a brow.
"mom, dad this is y/n. my girlfriend" Chenle holds your hand.
"c-chenle I don't fee-"
"shhh it's okay" he whispers, you let out a small sigh.
"she's very pretty" the father smiles.
"thank you" you smile.
"call me Mrs. Zhong" Mrs. Zhong smiles as you nod.
"call me Mr. Zhong" Mr. Zhong also smiles.
"shall we eat?" Jaejin asks as you all nod.
you stayed quiet while everyone else talked. you felt uncomfortable for some reason probably because you didn't know what to say. also probably because if you say something, something stupid would probably come out.
Chenle put his hand on your thigh which caught your attention.
"are you okay?" he whispers, you nodded at him.
"are sure? why don't you talk?" you shrugged at his question.
"answer me" he says sternly.
"I just feel awkward, plus I also feel like I'll say something wrong and they'll judge me" Chenle let out a long sigh and shakes his head.
"think about the positive things" he held your hand.
"think about me" he chuckles which gave you a huge smile.
: after dinner :
you just got finished with the bathroom and so you headed back to Chenle who was in the living room but ended up stopping behind the wall.
"Chenle, you should break up with her" you could tell it was mother, your heart sunk.
"what! why?!" Chenle raises his voice.
"come on son, she doesn't look like a very high class mature women" Mr. Zhong says with calmness in his voice.
"mom, dad I don't care about that! I love her!" Chenle was now shouting.
"you don't know about love sweetie, your only 17" his mother points out the obvious, Chenle scoffs.
"I do know mom, I love her. I love y/n y/l/n!" I was now smiling even though it was probably not a good time to be smiling.
"she's one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me. she's the person that took care of me when you and dad were too busy going on fancy trips around the world. she gave me hope when I was on the verge of losing my mind, she helped me through thick and thin. so yes I love her, yeah we're young but who cares?" Chenle says.
"Chenle! listen to us!" Chenle groans loudly at his parents.
"why?!" Chenle shouts back at them.
"she could ruin your life! your career!" his mother's voice raises up higher than normal.
she was right. you could ruin his career and everyone else's career. you don't fit in with his family either. you were not like them. you don't look mature nor did you act like it.
"I put her first before my career" was he crazy? he can't do that!
"no you cannot do that! we helped you to become an idol!" his father is now shouting as well.
"well so did she!" Chenle shouted.
you needed to leave. his mother is right. his parents are right. you could ruin his career badly even his fellow members. plus you didn't want to be the cause of his and his parents relationship. you should end it before it gets too serious. you stepped out to see them all standing. Chenle's face was turning a bit red probably from all the screaming. they all quiet down.
"how long have you been there?" Chenle suddenly asked.
"I have to go" you say before grabbing your bag.
"y/n! don't ignore my question!" Chenle shouts, you quickly hurried out.
you get outside and it was pouring. you should've called someone first before bailing out. it would've been a smarter idea instead of getting chased in the rain.
"y/n!" Chenle has caught up to you, he grips onto your wrist tightly.
"C-Chenle! you're h-hurting me!" you shout trying to use my other hand to let me go free.
"how long were you standing there?!" he was furious.
"answer me!" he shouts, you started to tear up.
"long enough..." you cry softly. his face drops.
"I think we need to break up" you cried looking at him.
"no y/n were not!" he pulls me closer to him.
"but your parents are right, I'll ruin you-"
"I don't care, I really don't care" he pulls me into a hug, his face is nuzzled into your neck.
"but-"
"I love you" he mumbles.
"no matter how many people try to split us apart, I love you y/n"
"your the love of my life" he hugs you even tighter.
