I was asleep peacefully, as I heard the heavy rain smacking against the glass window, I was resting until I heard Arthur coughing; it was 6:40am this was usually the time he would get up for work. I yawned and sat up in my bed wandering was he okay? Then I heard him puke, my eyes expanded in shock and I jumped out of bed. I ran towards the bathroom and saw Arthur; he was wiping his mouth as his eyes heavily watered and his eyelids were slowly shutting down.
"Arthur baby you're not feeling well"
"It was just morning sickness I'll be fine"
I rolled my eyes
"Seriously doll I'll be fine" Arthur smiled
Then with that he puked again into the sink.
"That does it ! you're not going to work honey" I stated as I helped him clear up. I told him to change into his pjs.
"But babe I have work"
"So? your health matters more than anything babe" I stated
"I'll call your workplace"
Arthur groaned; I laughed at his stubbornness. I dialled the number of his work place and said as soon as they picked up;
"Hi, I wanted to say that Arthur Fleck is not coming into work today because he's not feeling well; he says it's the morning sickness" I stated as I smiled at him
Arthur frowned
"Thank you bye" I said as I hung the phone
"Yay I'm so glad you're staying in with me today" I giggled
Arthur sighed
"You're so stubborn" I giggled
I helped him get tucked back into bed and put a vomit bowl beside his desk
"If you need to vomit; it's here" I said
I made my way towards him and laid down next to him.
"You're going to get ill too babe"
"Oh well" I laughed as I hugged him
