You're on the phone with your girlfriend-she's upset,

You sat on your bed sighing as your best friend Gilbert was on the phone.
"You OK?" You asked after he hung up.
"Ja. She just. . ."
"What did you 'say' this time Gil?" You asked with a hint of annoyance.
"Oh, I told (g/n/y/h) that she vas unawesome compared to me. And apparently that's offensive?" He sighed and ran a hand through his silver hair.
You laughed because you knew he joked around with everyone like that. And you liked that about him. "You say that to everyone! What's the big whoop-dee-do?"
He started to chuckle too. "Exactly! That's vhat I said! And vhat the "Hölle (hell) is 'vhoop-dee-do' Frau?" He laughed some more.
You smiled. "I don't know, but it's awesome!"

You leaned in and placed your head on his shoulder playfully. "And me~?"
He blushed. "I suppose so ja. . ."
I'm in the room, it's a typical Tuesday night.

Gilbert had just left and you wished him good luck with (g/n), to which he responded with a cheeky grin and "Thanks, I'll really need it Frau!''.
You turned on your radio and 'My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark' by Fall out Boy was on. You smiled because this was (g/n)'s least favorite song.
But you and Gil loved it.
That was another reason why you didn't get why Gilbert loved (g/n).
She hated all his awesome jokes and his favorite songs. And you knew she hated the way he dressed; sweatshirts and jeans.
But you loved that too.
(g/n) also hated his friends, you loved Francis and Antonio, they were your best friends.
Now that you thought about it, you didn't really hate anything about Gilbert.

You dressed in your (fav t-shirt) and slipped on a pair of skinny jeans with your (h/l) (h/c) hair down and walked out the door.
As you were walking down the street, you noticed a park bench and decided to sit on it and read the newest edition of (book/manga other than Hetalia of course).
Walk in the streets with you in your worn out jeans
I can't help thinking this is how it ought to be.
Laughing on a park bench thinking to myself,
"Hey, isn't this easy?"
"Hallo _____!" You heard and lifted your nose out of your book.

"It's a wunderbar (wonderful) morning isn't it?!" He announced with his signature smirk.
You nodded.

You looked in Gilert's hair and out popped a yellow chick.
"No, I didn't forget about you Gilbird~! How could you think such a thing~!" You said with a laugh.
"Hey meine (my) awesome feathered friend!" He said with a smile as Gilbird flew on to his finger. "So _____, how are jou?"
You smiled. "Good, and you?"
He shrugged. "Oh jou know just . . . AWESOME!" He laughed and you joined him.

Right in front of you was (g/n) in her red convertible. "Hey Gillybear~!" She smiled at him and waved.
Then (g/n) looked at you and scowled. What kind of nickname is Gillybear?!
"Sorry Frau, I have to go!" He said then jumped up off the park bench and got into the car.
(g/n) drove away leaving you alone, but not with one last look of "go f*ck yourself"!
You rolled your eyes and went back to your book.

You kicked your legs back and forth on the park bench as you waited for Gil. He told you to wait up for him so you did.
You heard a sigh and turned around and there was Gilbert.

Now you knew something was definitely wrong, awesome was no where to be found in that sentence! A normal happy Gilbert would've said "The awesome me is fine Frau!" or something along those lines. . .
You were dealing with a sad Gilbert. And that wasn't good.
"What did (g/n) say this time?" You asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"She said I vas an unfit boyfriend for anyone and that I vas. . . unawesome."
You were about to say that Gil would be a perfect boyfriend to you but stopped yourself. "That's not true you know that."
She wears high heels,

Your ears perked up to the sound of someone knocking on your backdoor.
You jumped off your bed, ran down the stairs, and opened your door.
Standing there was a very sad-looking Gilbert.
You let him in.
"Can I talk to jou Frau?" He asked quietly.
You nodded rapidly. "Yeah, let's go upstairs though. . ."
Gilbert gave you a curt nod and followed you up the stairs.

You both sat on your bed and Gilbert sniffled.
"It's alright Gilbert, you don't have you keep your awesome image up for me you can cry~" You teased.
The albino laughed and wiped his eyes.
"See? There's my Gil!" You playfully punched him in the arm and jumped off the bed. "I know what you need."
"Vhat?"
"Music!" You exclaimed with a smile.

The track started playing, it was the 'I'm Awesome' song that you had on your iPod/iPhone/iPad just for Gilbert.
You started to sing along to the song, and sure enough Gil did too.
Soon you were both dancing around your room singing the song.

"Thanks _____, I-" Gilbert started but you interrupted him.
"It's fine." You smiled. "I don't mean to be nosy but. . ." You shifted on your bed. "How are you and (g/n) doing?" You asked.
"Oh vell ve. . ." Gilbert swallowed. "Broke up."
Your eyes widened. "Really?"
"Ja. I caught her flirting and kissing another boy so I ended it." He explained, slightly smirking.

"I'm sorry Gil. You'll find her one day!" You encouraged, punching him in the arm playfully. You and Gil did that a lot.

"I'm so. . . happy for you Gilbert." You sighed softly even though your heart was ripping into 1,000 little pieces.
"Vell jou should be. . . 'cuz it's jou~!"
You almost choked on your own spit. "Me?!" You were surprised and relieved at the same time. It was weird.
"Ja~! Jou. . . like me too right?" He asked, confidence suddenly gone.
"Yeah of course! I've been waiting to hear you say that!" You tackle-hugged the 'Prussian'.
"Ich leibe dich _____~!"
"I love you too Gilbert. You know what?"
"Vhat?"
