Matt parked his car in the student parking lot and turned the engine off. He looked over at his little brother who was playing with his fingers, not looking like he wanted to move any time soon. "Nervous?" He asked his little brother.

"I dunno. A little." Ryan mumbled and shrugged.

"I have a good feeling about this school. It's going to be great." Matt told him, looking out the window. They've never been to an American school before so both were a little nervous, though Matt was much better at hiding it than Ryan. "At least we don't have to wear those bloody blazers." Matt laughed and Ryan laughed too. "Come on kid." Matt nugged him and they both got out of the car.

They walked into the school's common room and lots of eyes turned towards them. Ryan hovered behind his big brother, almost trying to hide.

A group of cheerleaders were starting at them and giggling a little. "Damn Ryan, you gotta love American football." Matt smiled at the girls wearing their tiny skirts and tight tops. "Come on." Matt pulled Ryan over in the direction of the girls.

"Mattie what are you doing?" Ryan whispered/yelled to him, but it was too late. Soon they had all of the cheerleaders attention.

"Hey girls." Matt smiled at them and a few giggled. I was wondering if you could tell me where the headmaster's office is located?"

"What's your name?" A pretty blond asked flirtatiously.

 "Matthew." He told her.

"Well Matthew, your not from around here are you?" She bit her lip a little and stood real close to Matt.

"No, were born and raised in the UK darling."

"I love a boy with an accent. Maybe we could hang out sometime." She winked at him.

"I'll see if I have time." Matt teased her.

The girl pulled a pen out of her bag and then grabbed Matt's arm. She wrote her phone number all over his wrist and then her name with a heart. "Call me if you find time. And by the way, the principal's office is right up the stairs, first door."

"Thank you." He smiled and then looked down at his wrist. "Lexi." The blond just winked again and Matt headed to the stairs with Ryan following him. "Damn cheerleaders." Matt nugged his little brother. "Dude I love American!"

"Mattie we've been here five minutes and you already had the same reputation." Ryan rolled his eyes as they walked up the stairs.

"Whatever twat. I'm not going to be able to spend time with her anyways, I'm always babysitting you." Matt lightly smacked the kid upside the head.

"Hey!" He yelled, fixing his hair. "I'm not a little kid ya know. You don't gotta babysitter me."

Matt rolled his eyes. "According to Mya I do." Ryan just huffed. He hated being almost four years younger than his big brother. "Oh come on don't pout ya little baby." Matt teased as he playfully punched him in the arm.

"Screw you Matt." Ryan pushed him away.

Matt was about to say something back but her were met by a tall and younger man who was wearing a blue collared shirt and tan khakis. "You two must be Matthew and Ryan Arrendale."

"Yes sir, that's us." Matt nodded.

"Perfect. He clapped his hands together. "I'm Mr. Davis, your principal. Please follow me into my office and we will get you two your schedules."

"Yes sir." Both boys said in unison.

"Right this way." He smiled and led them into his office. "You two can take a seat right there." He pointed to two brown leather chairs that were facing his desk. Mr. Davis took a seat on his own side and pulled out two vinnella envelopes. He looked through one, and from the picture stapled to it, it was Ryan's file. "Ryan, your attendance has never been a problem, your grades are nearly perfect, and your overall behavior is ideal." She said as he read through the file. He gave Ryan a small smile and then picked up Matthew's file

'Oh gosh, here it comes.' Matt thought to himself. He wasn't exactly a golden star student.

 "Matthew, you-"

"If I may, Mr. Davis." Matt cut him off. "I know I cut class in the past, I know I'm barely getting a C average and I definitely know my behavior hasn't been the best. But I'm ready to work harder and be a better student, sir." Matt smiled at his new principal, trying to sell his act the best he could.

Ryan just rolled his eyes, his brother said the same little speech at every school they go to. "I'm so glad to hear that." Mr. Davis smiled back at him. "Consider this school a whole new start."

"Yes sir." Matt nodded. Ryan glared at his big brother and then looked down at his wrist that was covered in pink glitter pen. Matt lightly kicked him under the table when Mr. Davis was looking away.

"Great, so here are your schedules." Mr. Davis handed the boys each a piece of paper. "I've assigned you each a buddy that is in your homeroom, to help you find your locker and classes."

"Great." Matt mumbled too quiet for Mr. Davis to hear. Two girls walked into the office, one was a tiny redhead with her hair cut to a bob, wearing a white button up shirt and a black skirt. The other girl was taller and much older, she had long brown hair and was wearing jeans and a Marvel t-shirt that was tucked into her belt buckle. Her hair was pulled in a messy bun and she had big black glasses. "Matthew, Ryan, this is Katie and Poppy. You guys better be on your way before your late."

Matt stood up and walked over to the older girl. "Hey." He smiled at her.

"Hi, I'm Katie, you must be Matthew." She put out her hand for him to shake.

"Ya, that's me." He quickly shook it and then looked back at his little brother who was talking to the redhead he assumed was Poopy. "You good Ry?"

"Ya, I'll see you later Mattie." He and Poppy then walked out of the office and how the hall.

"Right this way." Katie walked through the door and Matt followed her. "So your from the UK?" She asked as they walked down endless hallways filled with lockers.

 "Ya." He nodded.

"Which part?" Kaite was obviously just trying to break the awkward silence between them.

"All over, I've been moving all my life."

"Oh cool." She forced a laugh and then stopped at a random locker. "This is yours, the combination should be on the top of your schedule.

Matt looked at his schedule, at the top there was his locker number and combination. Matt looked at the numbers, then the lock and raised his eyebrow. He tried putting it in and Katie laughed at how clueless he looked. "Am I doing it wrong?" Matt laughed back.

"Just a little. Here, let me show you." She put her hand over his, that was still placed on the lock. "Three times to the right the clear it." She said as she moved Matt's fingers. "Then stop at zero and go to the right two times and land on your first number, back to the left once then land on the second number, then back to the right and stop at the third number. Then you push up and pull your locker open." When the locker opened Katie let go of Matt's hand.

"I might need help with that again." Matt laughed and started putting his things into his locker.

"Well lucky for you I'm your shadow today. We have all four classes together, that's why Mr. Davis picked me to help you around. Well that and I need volunteer hours for national honors society." She laughed.

"So your basically just using me?" Matt raised his eyebrows and faked being mad.

"Exactly." She laughed.

"Sounds great." Matt laughed too. He thought Katie was cool, she had a type of smart spunk that he found attractive, and she didn't seem too dick thirsty like other girls he normally hangs out with. It was a refreshing change though Matt didn't think a smart girl like Katie could ever like a guy like him.

"Lexi?" Katie asked as she looked at his arm. "Lexi Thomas?"

"Ya, maybe. I didn't catch her last name." Matt blushed and started rubbing his arm, though the ink wouldn't even smudge.

"She branded you already?" Katie rolled her eyes.

"Branded me? Like a cow?" He asked, still trying to get the ink off.

"Ya, here girls write their names all over guys to show to everyone that their owned."

"Owned? What the heck? That's crazy!" Matt almost yelled.

"Well not literally owned." Kaite laughed a little. "It just means back off he's taken."

"Well I'm not taken." Matt said harshly.

Katie rummaged through her bag and pulled out a bath & body works hand sanitizer, and a tissue. "May I?" She asked and Matt nodded. Olivia grabbed his arm and put hand sanitizer on it and then started to rub the ink off. It worked surprisingly well and in seconds it was gone.

"Thanks." Matt smiled and rubbed his arm to get the remaining hand sanitizer off.

"Oh shit, you probably wanted to write her number down before I took it off." Kaite said, trying to sound sorry but she really wasn't at all.

"Na, I'm good." He smiled at Kaite, making her blush.

"Well we better get going, grab your things for street law and Italian II." She told him.

Matt reached into his locker and pulled out two notebooks. "Alright I'm set." He said with a cheeky smile.

Kaite rolled her eyes and then handed him a pencil. "You might want this."

"Right. Thanks." He slammed his locker shut and followed Katie to room 'A-112'.

When they opened the door all eyes turned to them, including Lexi who sat in the back. "Welcome to street law." A tall and muscular man greeted Matt. "I'm Mr. Lucenzo, your teacher. We are thrilled to have you here."

"Uh, thanks." Matt said started to walk to the back of the room.

"Uh, not so fast. Come up here boy." Matt rolled his eyes, but either Mr Lucenzo didn't see or didn't care. Katie took her seat in the front, and Matt joined the teacher in the front of the room. "What's your name again?"

 "Matt."

"Got a last name, Matt?" Mr. Lucenzo raise his eyebrows.

 "Matthew Arrendale."

"Well Mr. Arrendale, I think it's clear that you come from across the seas, what part are you from?" He asked.

"All over, honestly I've lived in too many places to count." If Matt was asked to resist all the places he's lived in, he definitely would forget more than a few.

"Okay, well besides from being British, is there anything else you want to share with the class?" Mr. Lucenzo asked.

"No sir." Matt had gotten used to being the new kid, though he still hated standing in front of a new class, talking about himself.

"Oh come on, there has to be one cool fact about you." Mr. Lucenzo laughed.

"Alright." Matt smirked. "Do you want to know my secret?"

Mr. Lucenzo laughed again. "Go ahead kid."

"Well you see, I'm actually a vampire." Matt told the class and they all started to laugh. Matt laughed too, but not at his joke, but at the fact that he wasn't joking at all.

"I like you Matt. You have spunk." Mr. Lucenzo told him as he patted him on his shoulder. "How bout you go find a seat and we'll jump into today's lesson."

Matt nodded and looked around the room for a good seat. Lexi was sitting in the second back row, with a free seat behind her. He walked down that way and sat behind the blond cheerleader, getting a smile from her. "Hey Mattie." She blew her gun into a bubble.

"Lexi." He smiled back at her.

She noticed his clean wrist and grabbed it. "I see it smeared off." She raised her eyebrows. "I guess I'll have to use something a little more permanent." She grabbed a pink sharpie from her desk and re wrote her phone number and her name that ran from his wrist to forearm. "There, much better." She chewed her gum obnoxiously loud.

"Ya, totally." Matt fought his urge to roll his eyes. Lexi kinda annoyed him, but she was hot and popular, plus totally into Matt, so he didn't want to kick her to the curb just yet.

Matt looked to the front of the room and saw Katie who was staring at them. She rolled her eyes when she caught a glimpse of the markings on Matt's arm and turned around. "Shit." Matt mumbled to himself.

Matt tried to pay attention in class, but West Valley High had block scheduling, meaning they only had four classes a day for anp hour and a half each, plus lunch. Instead of seven periods a day for forty-five minutes each like he was used to.

Sitting in the class was a nightmare and he ended up drawing in his notebook, completely ignoring the lesson going on in front of him.

"Matthew? Matthew. Hello Matthew." Matt looked up to see his teacher standing in front of his desk. All eyes were on him and Matt realized he probably should have been paying attention.

"Yes, sir?" Matt asked and shut his notebook.

"I'm going to assume that you didn't hear the question?"

"No sir." Matt said, biting his lip from saying anything smart that could get him into more trouble.

"You can drop the 'sir' were not in any fancy school." Mr. Lucenzo laughed. "Though I do suggest you start paying attention. Who knows, you might learn something." Matt gave him a cheeky smile and Mr. Lucenzo walked back to the front of the class.

Matt almost fell asleep by the time the bell rang, but when it did he sprinted out of the class faster than anyone.

Katie was waiting for him at the door and for a moment he thought maybe it was because she wanted to talk to him. "I'll show you to your next class." Is all she said and then started to walk down the hall.

Matt followed her and then remembered she is supposed to walk him to every class today. "Hey, what's the matter? Did I do something wrong?" Matt asked as he tried to keep up with her incredibly fast pace.

 "Nothing." She said harshly.

Matt rolled his eyes and then grabbed Katie's wrist and stopped her from walking. "Just tell me what I did." Matt protested. 'gosh girls could be so complicated.' he thought.

Katie ripped her hand away from his grasp. "You didn't do anything." She told him flatly.

"Are you sure? Because you seem upset." Matt looked down at his arm and saw the writing all over it. "Is it because of this? Because I didn't ask her to do it." He practically pleaded.

Katie rolled her eyes. She couldn't believe that she thought for a second that maybe, just maybe, Matt liked her. "I don't care that you have some stut's name on your arm. Who you choose to be friends with is your choice. But quite frankly I don't want to be associated with someone like you."

"Someone like me!" Matt rolled his eyes and practically yelled. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"Your a player, a womanizer, a fuck boy, or should I just say a complete asshole!" She pushed him but his super strength made it seem like nothing more than a tap.

"Well if you feel that way, I can get myself to my own classes." Matt really tried to sound unbothered by her words. But the more he thought about it, the more he realized she might be right.

Matt does tend to go from girl to girl but that's only because he won't get in a relationship with them because of who he is.

Besides the fact that his family is always moving, what if Matt can't control himself and ends up hurting someone? Or tried to drink her blood, or reveals what he is. It's just not a risk he's willing to take.

Of course he couldn't tell Katie any of that, so if she wants to think that he's just an entitled asshole, then she can.

Matt walked into his second block about fifteen minutes after it started.

When he walked in all eyes were on him, and he saw Katie sitting in the corner of the room.

Matt walked up to the teacher who had a pissed look on her face. "I'm really sorry I'm late, today is my first day and I got lost." Matt apologized, hoping he wouldn't get sent to the principal's office for being late. Mya would kill him if he was tardy for class on the first day.

"You must be Matthew Arrendale." The teacher, who Matthew couldn't help but notice looked way too young to be a teacher, raised her eyebrows at her.

"Yes that's me mama." Maybe it was Matt's British accent, or him calling her 'mama' but she quickly took a liking to the boy.

"Okay Mr. Arrendale, sense it's your first day I'll give you a pass, but next time don't be late to my class."

"Thank you Mama." Matt smiled at her, trying to earn himself some brownie points.

"Mr. Smith." The teacher stood up and walked over to a boy who was sitting in the front row next to Katie. "Move to the back row. I want Mr. Arrendale front and center. Something tells me I'm going to need to keep an eye on him."

Matt blushed and quickly took the now empty seat next to Katie.

Matt didn't dear even look at Katie, though he couldn't keep his eyes off Mrs. Arevalo. Even though she was his Italian II teacher, he found her quite attractive. Every one of her features were highlighted in her white blouse and skin tight pencil skirt.

It wasn't the first time Matt had a little crush on his teacher. In fact that was a mistake that made them move two years ago.

"Italian, as you all know, is a romance language. Can anyone recite all the romance languages?" Mrs. Arevalo asked the class. "No one? Come on guys, this is going to be on the test."

"French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Romanian." Matt announced. He already took Italian I and almost completed Italian II but then he was forced to move here. Now he had to repeat the same class, only this time he had a little advantage.

"Correct." Mrs. Arevalo put her hands on the edge of Matt's desk and bent over a small bit. "Though in my class we raise our hands. We're not going to have a behavior issue, are we Mr. Arrendale?"

"Of course not. Sorry Mama, won't happen again." Matt couldn't help but feel aroused by her, but then he looked over to Katie who staring at him with a strange look and Matt dropped his head, avoiding eye contact from his teacher.

"Let's hope not." Mrs. Arevalo straightened herself up continued teaching.

At the end of class, everyone headed out the door though Matt was told to stay. "Yes ma'am?" He asked as the room emptied.

"You were late today along with being disruptive in my class. I really hope we don't have a problem here."

"Like I said before, it won't happen again and I'm really sorry." Matt promised.

"Well according to your record, you tend to have a behavioral problem." Mrs. Arevalo opened her binder and found a copy of his file.

"I know I've had problems in the past but I'm really trying to turn a new leaf." Matt was trying so hard to let that be true. He really wanted to stay out of trouble, but that's easier said than done.

"Let's hope so Mr. Arendal, because I would hate to have to punish you." She bit her lip and Matt wanted to make a move, but he just nodded and turned around to walk away but Mrs. Arevalo grabbed his ass and then gave it a little slap.

Matt stopped immediately and turned around to see his teacher slowly un buttoning her blouse.

Matt told himself it was a bad idea, he should just turn around and walk away. But Kaite's words ecoed in his head. How he's nothing but a asshole and a fuck boy. If that's what he was than why not act on it? What's the harm in proving her right?

Matt shut and locked the classroom door and then slowly made his way back over to his teacher.
