Ya, those next few moments were awkward. Ink!Pap wouldn't release me and he weakly stood up. Ink looks at me and I shrug. E!Pap released Ink, both him and Ink!Pap still unaware of Ink and I swapping bodies. Regardless of Ink!Pap's injuries, he picks me up and points to Ink and E!Pap. I could see his angry expression clearly.
"Never talk to me or my brother again! I bet this is because of your brother's stupidity, E!Pap!"Ink!Pap says
"Ya, sure. This is the same brother of mine who saved you from your own creation as well as your brother. He gave you mercy and what did you call him without knowing? Oh ya, that's right! Nice!"E!Pap snaps
"I see where they get the stupidity from. Probably just some trick of his."Ink!Pap retorts
Was he calling my brother stupid? My hands balled into fists and I put them together, one hand around a fist like holding an axe or something. I raise the fists up and bonk him on the head.
"You take that back right now! Don't go straight to the blame game right after you caused an issue that is still out there may I say! So don't you even start to pull junk like that!"I snap at him after he drops me
Ink comes over and grabs my fist to calm me. I take some breaths and calm down, my fist loosening and intertwining with his. His brother got up and looks at us.
"DoN't tRy aNYtHiNg. YoU hyPoCriTe oF a BrOThEr. He diD jUst sAve yOu. Let'S gEt y0u oUt oF hERe."Ink says
"He? Wait, what are you saying?"Ink!Pap asks
"Oh! DuDe, tHey cLeArlY sWaPPed bOdIeS. I'd reCoGnIzE mY bRoThEr's pr0teCTiVe aNgEr aNyWHerE."E!Pap says
"ThAnK yOu, E!Pap!"Ink says, shaking his head and rubbing it as if stressed
Ink scoops Ink!Pap up, muttering stuff to the brother in anger. For a few moments I thought he was gonna crash from frustration but he never did. I scoop my brother up and tried to help him walk, having it seemed that he was beaten up worse than Ink!Pap was. I heard footsteps and quickly got into a panic. I look over my shoulder and see the glitched kid staring up the hole from where the human would've followed. We made eye contact. Oh, the fury I saw in their eyes sent a chill down my spine. They made some vines lower down to most likely come and get us. I did not hesitate. I didn't attack, I didn't fight, I didn't agitate them. No not with my brother with me and in such bad condition. I ran. I ran faster than I ever ran before, lifting E!Pap above my head as if he were as light as a feather. I get out of the cave with E!Pap still in my grip. I look at Ink and his brother. Ink becomes frightened by this, knowing how rare I act like this. Ink!Pap seems suprised, as if he didn't expect me to be frightened by a threat that had hurt him and my brother, or that I was protectively getting my brother out of here. What the heck dude?
"Inky, they're coming. We need to get out of here!"I tell Ink
"G0t iT. I'lL GeT a PoRtAl oPeN."Ink says, setting Ink!Pap aside
I hear some glitched yells and feel E!Pap disappear from my hold. I look to see him limping back into the cave. Was he out of his mind? What was he thinking?
"I'lL bUy uS SoMe TiMe!"E!Pap says kindly
I look back at Ink and Ink!Pap. Ink seemed shocked and worried. Ink!Pap just rolls his eyelights.
"Like I said. Stu-!"Ink!Pap begins
"ShUt iT!"Ink snaps
I look at the ground and shake my head. Ink!Pap and his big mouth. His stupidity. Dang, why'd my bro always so selfless at times like these and just trying to help? I run in after him and find him collapsed on the ground, a stick laying behind him, caught red-handed as the trip culprit. I could see the glitchy kid in the distance, climbing out of the hole. I get an idea. I grab the brush and paint a deep hole a few feet ahead, then paint some fake ground over it, almost like a carpet. I then scoop my brother up and got out of there.
"Get back here you little fla-aaaah!"The kid yells, clear sign of them falling for the trap
I get out there and lower my brother, only to find his injuries and trip combined had knocked him out.
"WhAt dId yOu dO?"Ink asks
"Made a trap that they fell for."I reply
"Okay, I g0t a p0rtAl oPen aNd g0t mY br0 thr0ugh. LEt's jUst sAy BlUe aNd DUst aRe deAliNg wiTh hiM riGht n0w."Ink says, gesturing to the portal
I nod and begin to walk through with my bro over my shoulder when I noticed Ink hasn't budged or made a movement to enter with me. Cross noticed me coming through and took E!Pap off my hands with Nightmare(still in Dream's body) helping. They carried him off quite worriedly, a Paps getting hurt means a lot to any Sans. Plus I think they knew what they may face if they turned a blind eye to it or didn't help my brother. I look to Ink and see the intent in his eyes, they didn't even have to be changing for me to know. I grab his arm tight and drag him through.
"Nope. You ain't doing none of that. Not now at least."I say
"Just wait until my sister finds out of this! She's met you! And she wants revenge! We will make you pay!"I hear the glitched kid yell
My mind went to the other kid we faced. The conditions we were left in. Now the conditions everyone was currently in. Did Ink!Pap make this one as well? I get he's creative, but can he not create something evil from his anger? I mean cmon!
"Further reason why you're not doing that. Let's get outta here."I state, ignoring the yell and dragging Ink through.
I see Blue and Dust speaking with Ink!Pap in the corner. E!Pap was being cared for by Dream, Nightmare and Cross. I was amazed at how well the two were getting along to help my brother, but Cross was no surprise. I set Ink on the couch. Just in time too, cause right as I did so, his vision was covered in error signs and he had to reboot. I went over to Dust and whispers to him what I know or learned based on events. He didn't seem pleased.
"Ink!Pap, did you by any chance make that glitchy kid and the brat that we faced not too long ago? Ya know, the one that caused everyone to be changed and your brother to be in isolation with Error? That caused trouble? Remember?"Dust interrogates
"Yes. The kid you met then I named Renew. The glitchy one you saw was named Change. But as you can see, they took their names for bad purposes."Ink!Pap replies
"No kidding, Captain Obvious! Their names are exactly what they're doing! Both of them are trying to destroy us or the multiverse based on your anger! They came into creation because of your emotions and now the multiverse will be changed or thrown into chaotic changes as a price! Hahahahaha, so funny! Is there some other kid named Destroy by any chance or something? Any other kids we should know about? You need to try getting your emotions out differently, like writing or crafting or gardening or something!"Dust exclaims frantically.
Ink!Pap shakes his head. Dust continued yelling, but Blue slips away. I sit beside Ink and Blue sits beside me, trying to think of something to do. I was wondering how to fix this situation while Ink was still rebooting.
"Hey, bro? How did you get swapped like Nightmare and Dream anyway?"E!Pap asks
"Wait they got swapped like us? Since when?"Nightmare exclaims
"Oh, ya know those containers that I said I found but couldn't find for proof? Ya, Blue found them and put it in some chocolate bars we had. After you left, I rebooted and Ink was getting his emotions back into balance when the swap happened."I explain
"So we could've been swapped back to ourselves by now but Blue wasted it on some trick of his?"Nightmare snaps
This led to Nightmare coming over to Blue and yelling at him, trying to be threatening but not much can be done when he's in Dream's body and doesn't even know how to summon Dream's weapon. Still, the yelling was getting outta hand so I put an arm across Blue to block Nightmare from him.
"It's in the past. Now what we need to do is focus on the issues at hand. That is, unless you want Renew and Change to destroy the multiverse and do who-knows what else while you're here taking your anger out on Blue."I tell him
Nightmare seemed angry still. Dust gripped his shoulder tight and gave him a dirty look.
"Ugh, fine. You've made your point. So, what are we gonna do?"Nightmare says
"Can't do much now. We'll any that have been hurt and try to plan. With that said, Nightmare, if you're really so angry, why don't you talk with Ink!Pap. Maybe he'll give info about who we're facing."I tell him
"Him? Oh, I'd be honored to!"Nightmare says with a grin and clenching fists
Nightmare went over to Ink!Pap and they did talk, but Nightmare would throw a punch in whenever he didn't answer something.
Ink finishes rebooting and was completely unaware of what happened, but seemed ok with Nightmare by his brother. Ink smiles at me and went with Blue to check on Swap!Pap, something Blue wanted to do very badl but was scared of what he may encounter. I soon found E!Pap and Cross on both sides of me, Dust was keeping an eye out for anything suspicious outside. Dream apparently was trying to make a plan. I began to discuss with E!Pap and Cross about how they are or my bro's condition. Cross told me, unlike E!Pap who said he was fine, that my bro was hurt badly and would need time to heal. I nod and realize we were at Ink's abandoned place. The interior was erased almost completely.
I get up and something told me to check upstairs, so I did. I search the closets for whatever may have caused such an urge. Nothing. I check the rooms. Nothing. I reach Ink's room to find the door shut, while the rest of the rooms had the doors wide open. I was puzzled by this and slowly opens the door.
"I was wondering when you idiots were gonna find me. Heh, and of course you did of all people. Too easy."a voice says from in the room
I look to the corner and there stood Renew, staring me down with a big grin. Just like when I had faced them in their mysteryious lair. Shoot. How long have they been here? They could've eavesdropped on everything! I reach for Ink's brush behind me but then realize I left it on the couch. I slam the door and run down the hall.
"Guys! Watch out! There's an intruder! Re-mmph!"I yell, but a hand covered my mouth while something grabbed my arm before I could complete my yell or even get close to the stairs
"Don't you snitch on me! You're coming with me."Renew says
They summon some kind of fabric that when they snapped wrapped tightly around me and dragged me behind them. I struggle and kick, trying to make some noise, trying to get someone's attention or help. But nobody came. Dang are these people deaf? I swing by leg into a door, which just so happened to be Dream's bedroom door. It went down with a loud crashing noise.
"What was that?"Drea yells
"WhEre iS mY bRoThEr? Or InK? Or BluE?"I hear my brother exclaim
By now, Renew had opened a portal and walked through it, her fabric still trying to drag me through. I look up at hearing footsteps to see Cross there, staring in shock at me being taken. He just stood there, as if expecting me to lower the gag and say:"Oh, hi Cross. I just kicked the door down and like getting dragged away in my former enemy's body. How are you today?" I narrow my eyes and he ran off just as I was pulled through. These people sometimes. These. Stupid. People.
I soon found myself in some strange-looking living room. There sat Change, the glitchy kid, on the couch. I never had much of a chance to examine the place because Renew soon dragged me downstairs to a dark and empty basement. They snap and the fabric left. They chained me to the wall. I was not pleased.
"What are you gonna do? Another round of childish dress-up? Or is that kid up there gonna try to control me again? Ya know, waste time with stupid actions?"I say sarcastically
"Nah, not yet at least. That'd be silly. I'm gonna start off with something much worse."Renew says, then turns on the basement lights
It was blank. Just blank. Everything was white. Even the chains and stairs. I knew for a fact that this would be driving Ink crazy, but I'm not Ink. I'm just stuck in his body. I'm kinda glad for that now since this keeps Inky from going through this.
"Oh nooo, a blank white basement! What ever will I do? So scary! This is so terrible, it might just be your best torture trick yet!"I say, shaking my head
"Why aren't you scared?"Renew asks
"Well, when you are hanging with someone that stays in a blank space, wouldn't you get used to it?"I say, trying to keep fooling them into thinking I'm Ink
Renew frowns. I smirk.
"Well, I'll be back in a little bit. Let's see how you are then! Maybe I'll try my next trick when I return!"Renew says, going upstairs and slamming the white door behind them
I sigh. I try and pull against the chains but they were strong and only dug into me when I did. I felt a buzzing coming from the sash. I shift and strain against the chains, just barely able to reach in and find Ink's phone as the buzzing source. I check to see why it was ringing. It said: "Incoming call from ♥Glitchy ♥ " Aww, so that's what he put me as! Wait, he must be calling from my phone then! I quickly answer and did not make the mistake of putting it on speaker. Only an idiot would do that! I made sure to speak in whispers.
"Hello?"I greet
"GlItChY! ArE yOu oKaY? YoU'Ve gOnE mIsSinG aNd NoBoD cAn fInD yOu! WhErE aRe YoU? ArE yOu hUrT? ArE yOu unDer aTtAcK? A-"Inky asks
"I guess I'm okay. I dunno, why don't you ask Cross? He saw me get taken and attacked but did nothing. I'm not under attack or hurt as far as I know. Just chained up and facing your fear. All I know is that the two kids are together and planning something while I'm locked up somewhere below them."I reply in whispers
I hear the door creak open.
"Sis, I got an idea of what to do with him. You're thinking too small."Change says
"Inky, I love you but I'll have to call you back. Stay safe. I'll contact you as soon as I can."I whisper, then hang up and tuck the phone into the sash
I continue to struggle in the chains. Nobody can try and take my freedom away! I see the glitched kid, Change, come down the stairs. They approached me, holding something in their hand that I couldn't make out.
"You're gonna help us a lot."They say
"Pfft. As if I'd help you! Good luck with that! I'd never turn against my friends for ya!"I state
"I wouldn't be so sure of that. Now, to make ya a destroyer."Change says with a sly grin
They then poured the liquid on me. I shut my eyes, expecting something to happen, but I felt nothing. I open my eyes and look at Change.
"I don't feel anything different."I say
"I guess there was some destroyer in you deep down. But things with you do seem different. Guess I'll have to get a second p-item to get control over you."Change says
"Here, sis!"Renew yells, tossing a second item to Change, which they caught and pour on me
"Now, let's get you out there."Renew says, taking the chains off me.
I blacked out. I could feel myself moving but I couldn't sense anything else. I shut my eyes and froze. I needed to figure things out.
