tattoos - calum

calum has been telling you for a while now that he wanted the two of you to have tattoos together. you were surprised when he first told you this but he insisted and said, "its not like im getting your name tattooed on my ass." however, as much as the idea sounded cool, your anxieties pinned you back. while your boyfriend has gotten a collection of body art scattered across his body, your canvas was blank. you hated needles at the doctors so you were sure you were going to hate getting a tattoo. but today felt different. you dont know if it was the air, a spring of confidence or just the damn atmosphere of london, you came to the decision you wanted a tattoo now. and it was the first thing you told calum when he woke up, and when you did, he got just as excited. the two of you began to discuss designs or where the two of you wanted your tattoos. after much debate and looking at tattoos on instagram, you and calum had came to a conclusion. next was to find a tattoo parlor. calum did that of course, some how being able to get the two of you an appointment in a few hours. "ill hold your hand when you get your tattoo baby if you're anxious, like always" he smiled, reaching to pull you closer to him before kissing your lips. you couldn't help but blush at calums comment before kissing his nose. what felt like two seconds ago, the two of you were now at the tattoo parlor, calum's soft hand entangled in yours as he signed in for the two of you in. when he was finished, the two of you took a seat, your eyes wandering over to someone getting a tattoo. their body was covered in link from head to to toe and so were all the artists. you looked over at
calum giving him a worried look. in return, he squeezed your had before leaving a sweet kiss on your cheek. "it'll be okay, it's gonna be simple n' easy. its literally just the quickest tattoo ever." calum reassured. "i know, it's just.. nerve racking." you shyly smile before hearing your names be called. once everything was discussed on what you wanted, the artist sketched both stencils up and now it was time for placement. the two of you were going to get the tattoo on the inside part of your arm, yours on the left and his on the right. you
and calum were going to get a line art drawing of of two hands holding each other, one in black ink and the other in blue so the hands didn't get confused. it was quite different than all of calum's other tattoos but he wasn't mad about it at all, he thought this art style was beautiful and would make this tattoo stand out even more. because calum already knew how a tattoo felt, he went first and you were able to watch. it didn't look bad at all and calum was calm the entire time so maybe it wasn't gonna be bad at all. when the tattoo was done, the maori boy smiled big at the now permanent art on his arm. "this is fucking sick. it's gonna look so pretty on you baby, i already know." finally, it was your turn. the artist placed the stencil on your body and now you were in the chair, calum held your opposite hand, kissing it every so often as the two of you waited for them to set up their station. once you heard the buzz of the machine turn on, your heart was racing out of your chest. "ready?" the artist asked with a smile. "mhm" you nervously smiled back before looking at calum for support. "don't panic, just stay calm okay? look at me babe." he said, pecking your lips as the tattoo artist began. as they started, you didn't really feel anything which shocked you and made you giggle a little. "see its not bad at all." calum chuckled. the session was quick like calums and then you were all done. the two of you went back to the mirror, looking at the matching art on your arms. "i love it, and i love you." you looked up at calum, smiling huge at this big step the two of you took in your relationship. "i love you more." calum smiled back, cheeks looking squishy as ever. once you were all wrapped up and ready to go, calum suggested to eat somewhere so after some walking, you found a pub. of course to celebrate the moment, you snapped a photo of calum and posted it on insta story, looking cute as ever. now that you finally got a tattoo, you were excited to potentially get even more in the future.
