Kara sighs as she looks at the familiar bed. Nothing changes in this room.
Feels like she didn’t really gone for 2 years.
The bed, the curtains, the way her books are stacks. Her clothes.
All neatly and properly taken care of.
“What is wrong?” katherine looks at kara who hasn’t going inside her room.
“In my head Mom, Of course I don’t want to hurt anyone I care about. So I wish you all to move on from my death. But on the back of my head and my heart, I don’t want to be forgotten. That I wish that when I went back… I can still have a place in your life. That there is a crack where I can wring myself in. Im sorry Mom. Im selfish.”
“No. No you are not selfish. Human don’t live alone. They need companion. They need someone. Even the strongest and the toughest people cant live alone. You are not selfish dear. You just want your place back to you.”
“When I see this room. I want to say. Wow,See. They gave me a place where I can return. My room is mine alone.”
Katherine comb Kara’s hair by her finger.
Comforting the turmoil of emotion in Kara’s heart.
“Mom is very happy that you are back.”
“Im back Mom.”
“And you are very Welcome in this house.”
“I know.”
“Can Mommy sleep with my oldest baby?”
“The twins wont like it Mom. It is fine. I am real. I wont disappear again.” Kara grabs Katherine’s hand.
Katherine sighs and nod.
“Okay. Sleep well baby.”
“I love you Mom.”
“As I love you Kara.”
Kara is all alone in her bed.
She still cant believe that this room never changes.
She is looking at her clothes. Some of them are a bit smaller to her build now. She laughs looking at the small underwears.
Kara then lie down.
She feels a bit uncomfortable.
This is her bed but it feels different now.
She is not used to it now.
Just 2 years and she feels uncomfortable.
Actually, she feels very insecure.
She cried.
Starts from Gabriel and Katherine.
She just laugh it off but there is a big gap. Like she doesn’t know if she can still do what she use to do. Like meeting someone you know so much yet you don’t know if they still feel the same way toward you so you cant act the same.
She tried to brush off the awkwardness but it is there.
They are a little different now.
They are not the people they used to be in her memory.
She is shocked.
She thought its just 2 years.
But so many changes in their life.

She feels unsure.
Knocks.
Kara look at the door.
When it opens.
Richard has a glass of chocolate drink in his hand.
“Uncle Dad….Can I still call you that?”
“Of course!”
Richard and Kara is sitting side by side in the corner of the bed.
In Kara’s hand is a warm chocolate drink.
“Im sorry. Did I disturb you?”
“No. Im actually cant sleep.”
“Your Mom too.”
“I see.”
“You are bothered? There is a little bit of stiffness in your smile.”
“I…I am aware that I am gone for 2 years and something changes when Im gone. But I don’t like it. The changes when Im away. I feel suffocated. I want to know. I want to know. My head is hurting.”
“Then find out about it.” Richard ruffles Kara’s head. “You grow up but you don’t grow old.”
“I am taller!”
“Ahahahaha. To be honest, you didn’t change a bit Kara.”
“…….I grow talller!”
“I mean in your personality. So We are in a daze. Cause what if you are just fragments of our imagination? Cause the only thing changes from you is your appearance.”
“That is personal attack Uncle Dad! Im getting angry!”
“Hahahah. See. You are Kara. Nothing changes since the day you disappear.”
“I am smarter….atleast I believe I do.”

“Don’t laugh! Im getting really mad.”
“That frowning face. That intellectual arguments…”
“Did you just call me unintellect---”
Richard body trembles as he hides his eyes but it cant stop the tears from falling.
“Yes. It is unintellectual. Very stupid. So crazy. That no one can talk to me like this and makes me happy like you do. Im so….Im so missing you. Im so happy. That you are not dead. That you didn’t leave.”
“U-uncle Dad..”
Richard pushes Kara in the bed and turn her body.
“Eh? Did you miss me so much to have an incline desire for my body?” kara shock. Her body tingle.

“BAD KARA!”
SPANK. SPANK.
“Kyaaahhh! Stop. Im..Im 15….”
SPANK. SPANK.SPANK.
“What is---Richard! What are you doing to Kara!”
Katherine stops Richard’s right hand.
Richard red eyes is glaring at Kara.
“Bad child! You! You make mw worried so much! So much I tell you!”
Kara regain her freedom and went to face Richard while hugging the pillow.
“Idiot! Idiot! Uncle Dad you meanie!”
“Hey…You two..” Katherine doesn’t know what to say. She is so shock.
“You think your Mother and Father doesn’t want to hit you? They want to. They are dying to hit you.”
“I don’t!” Katherine explain shaking her head to Kara.
Kara pouts and wipe her tears.
“You know why no one did it? Cause they don’t know how!”
“Mom never hits me!”
“That’s the reason you grow up like a spoil brat.”
“I……..”
“I don’t want you repeating this again. You hear me? You call me Uncle Dad you respect me like a real Dad!”
“But I always respect you!”
“Then you don’t make me go crazy thinking about you!” tear blurred Richard’s eyes. “I have to support your Mom and Dad so I cant even properly mourn myself. You know what? I consider you as my own daughter! You are my daughter. So do not…do not die on me.”Richard went and sit down on the bed crying.
Kara hugs him from the back. Katherine relieves and hug them both.
“Still, spanking a 15 year old is a crime. Ill sue you.” Kara angrily glares despite her tears.
Richard wipes her tears even though his own tears are left unsightly.
“Okay. Uncle Dad will help you find a good lawyer.” He smiles.
After releasing the turmoil, the uneasiness, the anger, the sadness inside his heart. Richard feels refresh.
Morning.
Katherine and Richard wakes up early.
They both look at each others slighlty swollen eyes.
Then the two rush out and run upstairs.
Then Bam.
The door opened.
And Kara is still in the bed sleeping soundly.
Katherine and Richard comforts each other as they hug one another.
It is real.
Kara is back.
This princess who knows how to scare adults.

Kara has to wake up due to the phone ringing.
“Hello?”
She answered lazily.
There is no response.
Kara broken away from sleep look at the on going call.
“Hello? Who is this?”
“Baby……. G-Good morning.”
“Dad! You scared me. I thought I received prank call so early. Have you eaten? What time…Oh. Are you going to work?”
“Im going to fetch you. I don’t plan to do anything but to make sure you wont disappear in my eyes.”
“Umm…Ahahaha.. okay. Umm.. Dad, do you want to spank me?”
“Spank? I want to but I don’t know how. What if I put extra strength. Im not confident.”
Kara grab her butt.
“Urk…Good thing. Cause being spank hurts!”
“You got spank?”
“Let’s not talk about it.” Kara grit her teeth.
“Hmmm..”
“Hey! Don’t get any ideas!”
“I cant?”
“It hurts!”
“Compare to the pain I feels?”
“Oh gawd fine! Spank me, stick me, drop a melted candle on me. Just torture me already.”
