Katherine's P.O.V
I was shocked yesterday when my little girl went home crying.
I asked her what happened but no one can answer me.
Kara's lips are tightly shut.
"I let you two follow her and this is what happened?" I angrily told Richard and Ethan off yesterday.
"Baby. Are you up?"
I look at Kara.
Her eyes are red and her face is frowning.
She force a smile when I look at her.
"I look ugly " she said laughing.
I dont want to see her like this.
Penelope's P.O.V
Kara called me early in the morning.
She wants to spend the whole day playing outside.
We went to the fast food chain and eat a lot.
She looks very happy but her eyes are red.
I can only stay with her and let her enjoy.
"Hey Kara. How about we do something crazy and post in online?" I said.
Kara looks at me and nod her head.
"Let's drink alcohol." She said smiling.
I feel all the blood in my body turn cold.
We went to a small karaoke bar.
They allow minor here?
I am feeling terrible when Kara ordered alcohol and iced tea.
"Kara, let's not do this." I said.
Kara winks at me.
The huge beer infront of me makes me shakes.
She takes the beer and went to another table.
I saw her emptying the beer in the pitcher of the next table.
Then she wash the bottle and then pour the iced tea inside.
"Hurry, let's take a shot." Kara told me happily.
I look at her with a smile.
Though it is not really alcohol, I think we will be in big trouble if we take a shot.
I am shaking as I take my phone but Sir Leonard came and his face looks really ashen.
"You want detention." He angrily said.
Kara looks down and pouts.
"Why are you here?" She said.
"You! Im your advisor!"
"How did you know where I am?" She angrily avoid Sir Leonard's hold.
"Are you actually drunk?" There is terror in Sir Leonard's voice and give me a glare.
"We didnt drink! We didnt." I answered.
"We will only drink Iced tea. What are you so angry about?" Kara's face flushed.
Sir Leonard yank her in his shoulder.
I am shocked what happened.
"Follow Us." Sir Leonard told me.
I nod and follow him.
"Shut this business down for good." He angrily told a man in black suit.
The guy nod and enter the bar.
I follow them in the car.
"You little shit.Whats wrong with you tonight?" Sir Leonard spat and angrily drive the car.
Kara is beside him and Im at the back.
"Sir Leonard, Kara is just sad. Dont blame her." I said.
"PENELOPE!" Kara angrily look at her.
"Sad? What makes you sad?" Sir Leonard stop the car in the roadside.
"Nothing." Kara looks away.
"IM TALKING TO YOU LITTLE GIRL!"
"I said nothing!" Kara angrily stomp her feet.
"You spoil brat." Sir Leonard clicked his tongue but still hold Kara's hand tenderly.
"Why are you so difficult?"
He murmurs.
My eyes cant anymore and I look away.
Are they in that relationship?
We bring Kara home.
I want to escape but Sir Leonard insist of bringing me home.
I am sweating in the side of driver seat.
"Your name is....ah.."
"Penelope,Sir."
"Penelope, nice name."
Silence.
"So ah, Penelope. Do you have any idea what is wrong with your friend?"
I look at Sir Leonard.
He never look at me once or twice.
"I just heard a little about it from her mom.It seems Kara never met her Father before. She is missing him."
"How can you miss someone you never met?"
Sir Leonard forehead knit.
"It is different from people to people. Kara must be wishing for a father ever since small."
"Okay. How do you cheer someone who is missing someone?"
"Cheer her up?"
"How can you cheer her up?"
"Umm it depends on person to per--"
"Get to the point."
I sweat.
"How about give her plenty of gifts? Sweets? Bring her to different places? Make her feel needed."
"Hmmm... We are here."
"What?"
"This is your house right?"
"Oh yes. This is my house. Thank you Sir Leonard for--"
"Get off."
"Yes."
I just get out of his car when he drive the car away.
Such a man is caring for my friend. I am very happy.
Wait..
How did he knows where I live?
And this is our main house.
I always told the taxi driver to send me to the closest apartment complex by my relative and just call our personal driver to fetch me.
I feel guilty.
Does Kara actually knows too?
Am I betraying a friends trust by hiding my identity?
What if she misunderstand and.....I should talk to Sir Leonard not to tell Kara.
She is my first friend and I dont want her to misunderstand.
"Hello."
"Wear anything that suits you. Ill bring you to some place." King said in a coaxing tone.
Kara's eyes widen.
"I-I dont know. Mom is really mad at me for going to a karaoke bar..."
"I will ask her permission."
"Why?"
"Just because."
"Dont treat me nicely. Ill misunderstand."
"What will you misunderstand?"
"I will think you care about me."
"It is not a misunderstanding if its true."
"Dont lie."
"Hey, Ill fetch you okay. Stay put."
The call ended.
Kara sigh.
What is she really doing?
She has really done it this time.
But people coax her and pampers her.
She felt becoming a bit spoiled and do crazy things.
But she makes people worried.
It is not nice of her but inside she feels so treasured.
Knock. Knock.
"Baby, Sir Bishop is here."
"Ill be there in a minute."
So fast.
Kara looks at King.
He looks exhausted.
He is still wearing his business attire.
Did he went straight here?
Kara looks sincerely in front of King.
"Let's go." King didnt show his fatigue and smile. He took her hand and guide her outside.
King bring her to a chopper.
And they fly literally in the night sky.
The bright lights of the city dazzle Kara's eyes.
"What do you think?" King ask.
Kara smile.
"I think you are too kind to me."
King rubs her hand.
"You are not imagining it." He said with a smile.
