Margaret wakes up and goes to play with her pony house, still in her nightgown. The ponies are swimming happily in thier swimming pool when Quigor is contacted by Eckrel.
"Quigor, we've had a serious issue arise with an escaped pet human becoming violent and attacking someone. I need you to come to an emergency meeting right away to help us capture this pest before he hurts anyone else," Eckrel explains.
"Oh, my. Of course I will come. Just let me get Margaret dressed and fed and then I'll drop her off at my Mother's place. I'll be there as soon as I can for the meeting," Quigor says.
"Thank you so much Quigor!" Eckrel exclaims gratefully.
The aliens say goodbye for now. Quigor gently picks Margaret up and carries her over to the bathroom. Afterwards they carry her over to the examination table to change her dressings. Then they carefully pick her up and put a lovely mint green dress on her.
Margaret is gently set into her highchair and given cereal for breakfast.
Quigor contacts thier Mother and explains the situation to her while Margaret is eating breakfast. Nyqota agrees to watch Margaret for them and prepares Margaret's cage with three thick blankets lining the bottom and lots of stuffed animals. This way it will be comfortable for Margaret so she will be able to nap in it if she wishes. She will also be able to play with the stuffed animals if she chooses to.
Quigor eats a bowl of petal mash for breakfast. Then they gently pick up Margaret and carry her to the bathroom. Once she is finished they get her communication book for her and put her collar and leash on her and carry her out to their vehicle.
Nyqota is ready for Margaret when they arrive at her house. "Hi Sweetie," she says to Margaret. "How has she been feeling?" She asks Quigor.
"She's doing much better now, Mother. I think she's feeling pretty good," Quigor says, gently handing Margaret to Nyqota.
Margaret looks up at Nyqota. "Quigor come?" She asks, realizing that she's going to be left here again.
"Yes, Sweetie, Quigor come," Nyqota says, carrying Margaret over to her cage in the yard.
Quigor has to leave, so they set down Margaret's communication book and some leftovers to feed her for lunch inside thier parent's house and say goodbye to thier parents.
Margaret begins to cry as she is carefully placed into the cage. "It's okay, Margaret. Good girl. Play," Nyqota tells her gently, giving her the communication book.
"Good? Play? Quigor come?" Margaret asks.
"Yes, good girl. Margaret play," Nyqota says, leaving Margaret alone in the cage while she goes into the house to prepare lunch for her and her husband.
Margaret looks at the stuffed animals. They are all Earth creatures. There is a bunny, giraffe, turtle, cat, zebra finch, canary, and panda. She plays with them until Nyqota brings her lunch.
Nyqota gives Margaret a bowl of beef stew for lunch. Her medicine which Quigor brought along for her is dissolved into the stew.
Margaret enjoys the stew. She cuddles up with the blankets and stuffed animals and takes a nap after lunch. There is a place in her cage for her to go potty.
Margaret plays with the stuffed animals more when she wakes up. Nyqota returns after a while with more beef stew for her. "Drink?" Margaret asks.
"Yes, Sweetie. Good girl," Nyqota says, going back into the house to get Margaret some water to drink.
Nyqota returns shortly with what resembles a dog bowl full of water for Margaret. "No! Drink!" Margaret protests.
Nyqota sets the water bowl inside Margaret's casge anyway in the pet human gets thirsty later.
"Come! Stay!" Margaret cries as Nyqota turns to go back into the house.
"Okay, Margaret," Nyqota says kindly, watching as Margaret opens her communication book and searches for the toy drink symbol.
Margaret finds the drink symbol and tries to give it to Nyqota through the cage bars.
"Yes, Margaret. Drink," Nyqota says. She opens the cage and carefully picks Margaret up.
Margaret doesn't understand what's going on. She clings to Nyqota and watches her closely. The alien gets Margaret's water bowl out of the cage and very carefully helps the pet drink the water. Margaret swallows it wrong and starts coughing and begins to cry.
Nyqota pets Margaret and speaks soothingly to her, trying to calm her. Quigor arrives to retrieve thier pet.
"Hi, Mother. How was she?" Quigor asks.
"I think she missed you, but she's okay now," Nyqota says while carefully handing Margaret to her owner. Margaret happily hugs Quigor. "How was your meeting? Were you able to capture the escaped human?"
"We all tried very hard but we weren't able to locate him," Quigor says.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that Dear. I do hope they find him soon," Nyqota says.
"Oh, don't worry Mother. We'll keep trying until we nab him, for everyone's safety," Quigor says.
Nyqota gives Quigor all of Margaret's supplies and then they take thier happy human back home with them.
Margaret happily plays with her toys over the next few days. Emily contacts her each night before bed, and the two girls enjoy talking tyo each other. Emily tells Margaret about her new pet human device, and Margaret is very excited.
Mepo drops Emily off at Quigor's house one day with Margaret's new device. Quigor will babysit while Mepo is at thier appointment.
"Hi Emily! What's that you have there? Is that my new device?" Margaret cries excitedly in English.
"Yes, it is! My owner got it for you. They let me learn how to use it so I can show you," Emily says in English.
Margaret listens carefully as Emily shows her how to use her new device.
Quigor comes and carefully picks up Margaret, carrying her over to her highchair. "Lunch, Margaret. Come, Emily!" Quigor says, carefully setting thier pet into her highchair.
Emily comes over quickly and Quigor places her into her highchair which Mepo brought along for her. The pets are fed tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. They have milk to drink. Quigor has luminous stem soup for lunch.
Margaret looks at three-dimensional pictures of animals on her device after lunch and reads about them. The girls play a game with the toy animals from thier devices. The pets are both very happy to see each other.
Mepo returns to pick up Emily. Emily dosen't want to leave so soon, but Margaret has a followup appointment with her Vet this afternoon, so she has to.
"She just loves her new pet human device, Mepo! Thank you so much! That was very kind of you! The girls had a wonderful time playing together," Quigor says.
"I'm so glad Quigor. I thought she'd like it. Goodbye, and good luck at the Vet's Office this afternoon. Thank you for watching Emily," Mepo says, leaving with thier pet. The humans say goodbye to each other.
