He landed at the bottom on his own two feet like a cat, despite basically being a huge dog.
Hoseok couldn't help but admire this human hybrid thing, he suited the role and was really committing to it. He also had to respect the determination to get his 'friend' back.
"Follow me" Hoseok spoke as they began to walk through a long dark tunnel. The walls just looked like black nothings, like he was in some abyss. It was very disorienting to walk along here as he didn't know how the wolves did it. But then he remembered he was still part human, his vision was not the same as a wolves.
They reached the end of this long walk as Hoseok pulled him to the side.
"I can't help you from now on" Hoseok told him
"What if I need it?" Taehyung asked, annoyed when Hoseok shrugged.
"Like I said, I'd help you get to here but from now on it's up to you" He spoke, sighing to himself as he realised that maybe this was cruel since Taehyung was a human.
"I-I won't tell anyone that I know and if he suspects I won't say a word" Hoseok spoke as he walked off into the lair, leaving Taehyung behind on his own.
Taking a deep breath, he tried to control the raging anxiety he was feeling in his body right now. It was like there was a drum beating in his head, pounding in his ear drums, like there was a knot around his stomach that was pulling it tighter and tighter. He was being hit by heavy waves of worry but he had to put it all aside. Jimin was his priority and he had to get him back.
Lifting his head, he reminded himself that he's more powerful in his wolf form and if he stays cool, there will be nothing to worry about.
Walking into the lair, he went in there trying to be as confident as he could.
At first, he got a few stares as he was clearly a fresh face. At first it bothered him since he could feel a lot of eyes on him, but they'd eventually turn away or if he made eye contact with them, they'd smile, almost like they were welcoming him.
He'd smile back, trying to fit in the role although he couldn't help but think their lair was really cool.
It was so high up and dark yet there was a huge hole with some bars across it, enough to let in daylight but also stop people getting out. It was a really cool lair with lots of tunnels going different ways as he assumed those were to private areas or other ways in and out.
Looking around, he actually couldn't believe it was what it was. It was so vast and he was surprised by it. To say the werewolves had a terrible and violent reputation, they clearly looked after their home a lot. Maybe it was the only place for them to go.
As he walked through, he didn't spot one in particular who'd kept their eyes on him the whole time, squinting as they breathed in through their nose, frowning when it was a funny scent. He didn't smell like a werewolf yet he clearly was one, he looked like one.
Yoongi's curiosity got the better of him as he leapt down from where he was lying down napping, turning back into his human form as he walked over, stepping in front of Taehyung before he took another step.
Taehyung froze in place as he recognised this guy. This was who nearly attacked him as his anxiety spiked, worried he would recognise him.
"You're new" Yoongi spoke plainly as Taehyung gathered all his courage.
"Yeah, am I welcome here?" He asked, Yoongi turning away.
"Might have to speak with the boss about that" Yoongi spoke as he then turned back to Taehyung, realising he was staring at something as he followed his eyes to the burn that was still on his side.
"Ignore that, it was an accident" Yoongi scoffed but Taehyung knew he was lying. It was clearly a touchy subject for Yoongi and Taehyung took a note of that. Maybe this guy had never been hurt like that before and his pride was too big for it.
"Can you take me to 'the boss'?" Taehyung asked as Yoongi smirked at his sarcasm.
"Sure why not" Yoongi shrugged, leading him through the lair as a few more wolves stared at him, none really paying much attention as they'd look away instantly.
"So when did you transform?" Yoongi tried creating conversation as they walked through, the question making Taehyung freeze up a little as he tried to pass it off like he was too busy looking around the place to hear.
"What?" He asked, Yoongi turning back round to him.
"The day you realised you're a werewolf? When was it?" Yoongi spoke as he was still unsure whether this guy was one hundred percent. He just looked odd, like he was somewhere in between. But if he had just become a werewolf it was understandable.
"N-not long ago actually" Taehyung spoke as Yoongi nodded
"How old are you?" He asked
"S-seventeen" Taehyung told him as Yoongi stopped.
"Wow you're a late bloomer" Yoongi spoke as Taehyung instantly jumped to the conclusion that maybe he'd messed up and he was meant to say he was younger.
"Don't worry, I was too, you get used to it" Yoongi shrugged as they began walking again, Taehyung internally sighing with relief. The funny thing was, Taehyung could picture himself getting along with Yoongi. He seemed sarcastic and pretty done with life but the fact he was actually taking an interest in him meant something right?
Yoongi's brain was still running through the different ideas of why this guy just didn't have a scent. It couldn't be because he was new, but it depends how new he was. If he was so new, how did he know about this place?
"How did you found out about here?" Yoongi asked, trying to puzzle together what was going on.
"I-I just picked up a scent and followed it" He told him, Yoongi frowning. That was very interesting.
"Y-you picked up a scent just from us walking around?" He turned to face him.
"Yeah, is that-" Taehyung worried as there was some truth in that. He did pick up the scent just from them walking around.
"What's your name?" Yoongi asked, suddenly very jittery and almost excited.
"I'm Ta-" He couldn't give out his real name. What if they knew him after what Hoseok said?
"I'm Taeyang" he covered, Yoongi smirking.
"Follow me Taeyang, boss has to meet you now" Yoongi spoke as he began to head off to where Namjoon usually stays. Taehyung followed behind.
"Sorry but what does it mean if I'm able to smell you from walking around?" Taehyung tried to keep up which he found surprisingly easy, especially since the ground wasn't exactly stable. It was all mud after all.
"It means something you'll understand very soon" Yoongi smirked as he carried on walking, trying to get this new guy to his boss. It couldn't be that he could actually pick them up from the smell. There have only ever been three werewolves who can do that.
Soon enough, they arrived at a tunnel as Yoongi dashed down it, Taehyung running down it too as he caught up with him very quickly. Yoongi seemed shocked by this as he gave him a challenging face and subconsciously, the two began to race down the corridor.
As they reached the end, Taehyung dashed in front of him at a speed Yoongi had only seen rarely. This was impossible. How had a new born got this ability?
He looked at him impressed, Taehyung smiling a little as he seemed to earn Yoongi's respect.
"Let's go" Yoongi rushed over to a door that was built in place, knocking on it before he entered.
"Yo Namjoon, you gotta see this" He spoke, Taehyung's heart pounding as he'd only ever faced Namjoon that one time. He remembered his words.
'You're quite the fighter aren't you? Shame you aren't a werewolf'
Before Taehyung could snap out of his thoughts, Namjoon came out of the door, a frown on his face from being disturbed that turned into surprise when he saw the new face.
"Found him wandering around" Yoongi noted as behind Namjoon, Hoseok came out, his eyes widening when he saw Taehyung before mouthing 'what are you doing?!' To him.
Was he trying to get himself killed?
"What's your name?" Namjoon asked as he came and stood over Taehyung. He was a lot taller than him and way more built, it made Taehyung so intimidated, but he tried to be brave.
"Taeyang" he told them, Namjoon smirking as he walked all the way around him in a circle, sniffing as he frowned.
"Interesting, you don't smell like one of us" He noted as he went and stood with his two friends, Taehyung facing them as the three of them stood together looked lethal.
"Namjoon, he can pick up our scent" Yoongi spoke as Namjoon turned to him shocked.
"A new born?" He asked
"Are you sure?" Namjoon double checked as Yoongi nodded.
Namjoon smirked as he turned to Taehyung.
"Okay" he stepped forward.
"Let's put it to the test"
