It's about time I update this. Ima try and also get out a small boyfs oneshot before I have to do schoolwork.

Jeremy stood outside the house, pacing back and forth as he tried to call Michael's phone once more.

The squip was screeching at him to leave just Jeremy ignored it, telling the squip to shut off.

Now, Jake had run inside the house to save Rich and Jeremy would've done the same if the squip had shocked him a good 10 times to discourage him.

So all Jeremy could do was hope Michael didn't die in the fire. He called Michael one more time and just when he was about to give up, he heard someone answer.

"Michael?! Michael are you there?"

There were some weak coughs from the other end along with a thud.

That only made Jeremy more panicked as the squip reactivated and tried to take control but Jeremy forced it to shut off again.

He saw Jake jump out one of the side windows with Rich in his arms. He flinched when Jake let out a yelp of pain and his legs were not angled correctly.

He, however, heard sirens in the distance and nearly leaped 3 feet in the air before whipping his head in the direction of the sound.

He ran over to Jake and with Rich's help, they were able to get Jake to one of the paramedics who had parked in front of the house.

Rich was also taken in because of his burn scars along with some other injuries. That gave Jeremy the chance to inform the firefighters that Michael was still in the house. He informed them of his last known location and practically begged them to try and find him.

The firefighters looked skeptical at first but from the look of pure helplessness and desperation on Jeremy's face, they ran off into the house to try and find Michael.

By then, most of the students had left, leaving Jeremy and a few others (who were probably recording the house fire for later gossip).

Jeremy cried out when part of the house collapsed as the firefighters sprayed water on it to douse the smoldering flames.

They were also trying to avoid anything nearby catching on fire and starting a widespread wildfire so there was also that.

Just as Jeremy was starting to lose hope of his friend surviving, the front door opened. (Okay more like fell forward lmao) A firefighter motioned for a stretcher to be brought over with other various medical toys that Jeremy had no idea existed.

Another firefighter came out, holding a very close to dead Michael in her arms. (Thought it was gonna be a boy? Well ur wrong)

She carefully placed Michael in the stretcher and they began hooking him up on all types of monitors and IVs as they pulled him towards the ambulance. Jeremy followed after them and asked to get on with them.

"Sorry kid, family on-" one had started but was cut off by another, quieter yet bold feminine voice.

"Of course you can, sweetie. You did tell us where he was. Had you not, he for sure would've died. Hop in," she said kindly, extending an arm out for him.

He smiled gratefully at her and took her hand, climbing in.

The nurse scolded them for trying to deny him access saying "if he wants to be close to one that he care about, you should let him. You never know if this is the last time he'll see them alive"

She then closed the doors and motioned for them to head out to the hospital.

Jeremy shoved his face in his hands and sobbed quietly, unaware of Michael hazily watching him.

Jeremy paced in the waiting room, waiting for what would come of Michael.

The squip was also a constant bother, trying to take over and leave before Jeremy would snatch that power away and force it down.

"Jeremy what the hell are you doing?! Why are you wasting time with him when you could be out trying to get Christine?"

"Aa much as I want Christine to notice and or like me, I also want to make sure my best friend actually lives. I've been an asshole to him this entire time yet he still came to try and help me. It's time I return the favor, squip," Jeremy responded.

The squip only huffed in response and shut off, leaving Jeremy be.

Jeremy kept pacing, unaware that he was still in his Halloween costume. He also wanted to check on Rich and Jake. Gossip already spread out about the house fire and it wasn't pretty either.

A woman walked in and saw Jeremy pacing. She sighed and tapped his shoulder, causing him to look at her with a confused expression.

She gave a sympathetic expression and squeezed slightly on his shoulder. "Calm down, whoever you're waiting for is in good hands. No need to get so worked up before seeing them. How about you get home and sleep for the night before coming back?"

"But-" Jeremy paused and thought about it. He was extremely tired and he still had school tomorrow. "...okay, thanks for the advice," Jersnt responded quietly.

She only smiled wider and led him to the door. "Have a good rest, and keep whoever you are waiting for in your prayers."

Ironic, considering he was Jewish. Nevertheless, he thanked her once more and went home, showering and falling asleep.

The next day, he skipped school and went back to the hospital. His dad would be mad but he didn't care at that moment.

Jeremy went up the the receptionist and asked to see Michael.

"Uhh, yes! Michael Mell, correct?"

Jeremy nodded.

"He's in room 174, be careful though, he might still be loopy from the sedatives," she said gently.

Jeremy thanked her and made his way up to Michael's room. When he got to the door, he knocked on it and waited.

There was a quiet "Come in" so Jeremy slid the door open slowly and poked his head inside.

Michael sat on the hospital bed, covered in bandages. However, he looked very much awake and was staring right at Jeremy.

"J-Jer?"

"Hey Micha..." Jeremy laughed nervously and made his way over to Michael's bed, taking notice of him flinching when the door shut.

"What are you doing here? I...I thought you didn't need me anymore," Michael said quietly, looking away. It hurt, a lot, but he still did so.

Jeremy frowned, really hating himself at the moment. Sure, being cool is nice and all but I'm reality he's only friends with the people he has now because of his social standing. Nothing else. Michael had been there with him since day 1 yet Jeremy so easily forgot about him just to become a "cooler" person. How fucked up do you have to be to do that to someone so close?

"I...I'm so sorry Micha. I know sorry won't just magically fix everything, considering..." Jeremy motioned weakly to the bandages. Michael was looking at him again with sad eyes.

"I haven't been the best person lately. Yeah I'm 'popular' and all but it just hasn't been the same without you. I'd blame it all on the squip but...I'd be lying to both you and myself if I did," Jeremy continued, looking down.

"I don't expect you to forgive me so easily, hell I wouldn't either, but I do want you to know that you do have a special place in my heart, no matter what happens or what I tell you. Squip controlled or not," Jeremy finished, wiping away a few tears that had rolled down his cheeks.

He felt Michael's hand grab his weakly. He looked up to see Michael smiling at him sympathetically.

"I forgive you, Jer. Not completely for other reasons, but it's enough. I guess I shouldn't be so hard on you, my reaction to everything wasn't the best either..." Jeremy raised an eyebrow as Michael rubbed his arms gently, a distant look in his eyes as he looked away.

It took Jeremy a moment to realize what Michael had done, but when he did he wanted to cry all over again.

Michael must've noticed because he quickly tried to reassure Jeremy. "I- uh...It wasn't all because of you, I promise! It's also because of...uhh," Michael shit yes uncomfortably in the bed.

Jeremy looked at him, eyes filled with concern.

"You remember my dad, right?" Michael asked quietly.

Jeremy's eyes widened. "...he's back, isn't he?"

Michael sighed. "He's been giving my mom's and I hell for the past 2 weeks. He thinks he can just prance back into my life after YEARS and expect me to follow every rule he has for me? Fuck that," Michael hissed, hatred in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry for not being there Micha I-" Jeremy started but Michael took his hand again, squeezing it gently.

Even with the bandages, Jeremy could feel the scars.

"Hey, I said it's fine. He should be leaving today or tomorrow hopefully. If he doesn't, then my parents and I will work something out, okay?"

Jeremy nodded, not fully convinced but somewhat there.

The squip reactivated and looked between the two. It raised an eyebrow then smirked, subtly taking control over Jeremy.

Before Jeremy could try and resist, he squeezed Michael's hand really hard, making Michael yelp in pain and try and pull his hand away.

"Jer, let go...you're hurting me."

'Jeremy' scoffed and squeezed tighter, making Michael whimper in pain.

"Look, you may have him now, but I will stop at nothing to make sure he stays away from a loser like you, so you might as well give up now," the squip hissed at Michael through Jeremy's voice.

Michael was to stunned to realize what the squip was going to do next. Before Michael could even prepare himself, the squip shoved Michael off the bed.

Michael shrieked, hitting the side of his head on the bedside table and passing out almost instantly.

The squip gave Jeremy his control back and mumbled a simple "Have fun" before glitching away.

Jeremy blinked, dazed before snapping back into reality and rushing to Michael's side. Jeremy noticed the cut on Michael's head and immediately grabbed the sheet off the bed and pressed it to the cut, pressing the red button on the side of the bed that read "Emergency call".

There was the faint call from outside the room that Jeremy could make out as "Code Blue, Room 174" and about 5 different nurses burst into the room, taking in the situation.

Two nurses ran off to get some equipment while the others (and Jeremy) helped Michael back onto the stretcher.

"Squip I don't know what the hell you did or said but as soon as this is over, I'm shutting you off for good." Jeremy thought angrily as they wheeled Michael away into a different room.

"I've only done what I needed to do. Whatever footage there is of what happened has already been deleted from their system. It's not traceable anymore. I don't need you going to jail," the squip responded.

"wHAT?!"

The squip didn't respond, and Jeremy was sent back down to the waiting room, frustrated and worried.

I am so not sorry for this. There's gonna be a part 3 tho. When? Idk lmao
