-Y/N's POV-
My eyes fluttered open as I awoke to the sound of a silvery voice singing.
My head rested upon someone's thighs; a girl's to be exact and the person was playing with my hair.
"Mito?" I muttered, lazily,
"Ah, Y/N, don't tell me you've forgotten me?" I shot up at the gentle voice,
"MAHIRU?" I stared at her face, which was framed by her ashen hair,
She smiled as my eyes began to well up with tears, "I thought you were dead," I embraced her as the tears began to fell,
"I'm sorry I disappeared so suddenly, don't cry, Y/N I'm here now." She wiped the fallen tears,
"Were have you been?" I sniffled,
"Never mind that. I have been watching over you despite my absence." She moved my obstructing strands of hair away from my face, "Oh, you poor thing." Her fingers lightly traced the bruise on my cheek left by the assault from the vampire.
"It's fine." I said taking her hand in mine, "Anyway, what did you mean by you've been watching over me?"
"Ah, I see you've met Guren. My dear Guren." She sighed,
I looked at her confused, as her hand came up to cup my face, "Never would I have thought that the dear, innocent, Y/N I took care of would take my Guren."
"Mahiru no-"
"Well, what did I expect from greedy humans anyway?"
"I didn't mean to, Mahiru." The tears began to fall, I felt so vulnerable. I'd disappointed the person who cared about me so much, I'd taken her boyfriend.
"Did Shinya not tell you?" She pursued,
"H-he did." I looked down at my lap guiltily and began to fidget,
"Then how did you not mean to, Y/N? Does that make sense to you?"
"I'm so sorry, Mahiru. I'm such a horrible person."
"You're human, Y/N."
"Please forgive me, Mahiru."
"How can I forgive you for stealing someone I love?" She said bluntly,
"I-" I felt a pang of guilt hit me,
"Ah, that was harsh of me. There is something you can do though."
I looked up to find her move my hair away from my neck,
She looked satisfied, "Hm, I'm sure this'll suffice."
Her head drew closer to my neck,
"Mahiru, wait..." my eyes squeezed shut,
As I felt her sharp teeth pierce my neck, I remembered the Mahiru from before; she was kind, forgiving, expected nothing in return-
"You're not Mahiru are you?" I opened my eyes to find a new person, who's teeth had sunken into my neck.
She had long blonde hair which cascade down her shoulders like waves and golden eyes, her skin was fair and seemed to radiate. She was mature yet had a youthful feel about her.
She chuckled before backing away and using the back of her hand to wipe away my blood from her lips.
"Of course not, foolish human. I never knew a black demon series owner is this easy to possess." She laughed hysterically,
"You can't! D/N?" I called for my demon but it was no use.
"It's far too late for that. Thank you for the meal, Y/N L/N."
-Guren's POV-
We had all heard Y/N's 2nd shot, however being so involved in a battle we couldn't risk turning away from we could only pray for her safety.
We had managed to kill the vampire eventually, Shigure had to finish the job due to Y/N not being able to be there. I told the others to report back as I'd be fine alone.
It would take me a while, I knew the place well, although knowing where Y/N was is a whole new story. I assumed she was still on the 3rd floor and searched on.
It wasn't long until I found 2 dents in the nearby walls, she had been here. I walked in the direction and saw a pool of blood. My eyes widened, "God, please no." I walked faster, close to running,
I turned corner after corner until I found 2 bodies, one belonging to Y/N.
I ran up to her and dropped to my knees, "Y/N? Y/N?! Please be alive." My breath hitched as I checked for a pulse, I sighed a huge sigh of relief as I found it.
I cradled her in my arms, "please wake up." I cupped her small face.
I was kneeling waiting for her to wake up for a while, although I saw her eyes twitch after around 10 minutes, "Y/N? Are you awake?"
I watched as she slowly opened her eyes, she said nothing and instead peered around her before staring at me for a while. She sat up and I raised an eyebrow at her unusual silence.
Suddenly she moved, she was fast; inhumanly fast. She stopped behind me, holding a sword just inches away from my neck. I didn't even flinch but instead silently snorted in amusement as I listed the possibilities.
Vampire or demon?
"What happened to you?" I asked without even turning to face her,
"What happened to me?" Her voice was more sultry then usual,
"Yeah, I found you passed out on the floor."
"Oh never mind that." Her fingers moved to the side of my face to turn my head to face her. Her face held her usual innocence but her eyes gleamed with anything but innocence, "Are you proud of me? I technically have you in submission."
I laughed, "Submission, huh? I guess you're right. Yes, I am proud of you, darling." I watched her face light up,
"Right? Well then, can I get a-you know...reward?" She shrugged,
I knew exactly what she was insinuating, but still acted clueless. This was definitely a demon, vampires weren't as lustful as this.
"Hm? What kind of reward?"
"Well..." she trailed off as her hand slid from the side of my jaw down to my chest.
"You've never asked for rewards before; Why now?" I asked bluntly, she was inches away from my face now,
"I just thought it should be something we could start, you know?" She lowered the sword and at that moment her lips found mine; but I didn't kiss back,
"Please do it back," she said against my lips, I felt her pout and I rolled my eyes,
"Whatever," I muttered, finally responding, I felt her smile into the kiss,
"I've been training you know." She said in a breathy voice,"
"I know. Haven't seen anything I've taught you." I replied, "Hell, you seem to know better than what I've taught you." I hinted that I knew, despite knowing it was useless and the demon was more concerned about lewd activities.
She broke of the kiss, "I've been practicing really hard." Her arms slid around my neck,
"I can see that." I muttered before her lips met mine again,
My hand lifted to cup her neck, I stroked it to mask the fact I was looking for her pressure point; and when I found it, I wasted no time applying pressure to it.
Instantly her body fell limp into me, and I picked her up, hauling her over my shoulder.
"Thank fuck that worked." I said sighing before turning to a random room.
I placed Y/N's unconscious body on a chair and looked for something to restrain the demon with; being in an abstract art gallery I had little trouble doing so. The chandelier-like lights were held by a chain.
I quickly sliced a few off with my sword and began wrapping them around Y/N's limbs. I afterwards got some Fuda to seal the chains in place and to provide extra security.
I leaned back against a table and observed my work, before nodding in approval.
Y/N being possessed by a demon woke up quickly, as expected.
The demon was furious, "You tricked me," she hissed,
"No, you tricked me. You posed as my girlfriend and tried to seduce me."
"Well it worked, didn't it? You kissed me back." She smirked in accomplishment and I shook my head in amusement as I got ready to lay the truth on her.
"Yeah, no. I knew you were a demon the moment you started moving like sonic the hedgehog on crack." This comment only seemed to infuriate her and I couldn't help but guffaw at her incredulous yet enraged expression, "What? Are you mad? Does it upset you that I saw through you before you could get into my pants, demon?"
"Shut up." She growled and this made me laugh harder,
"Anyway." I said calming down, "If you don't mind me, I'm going to speak to my girlfriend."
"She's gone. I possessed that stupid human so quick it's not even funny." She sneered, I ignored her mockery and knelt before her,
"Y/N, I know you're still in there,"
She cackled, "Pathetic! You look pitiful." She grinned, "Just you wait, I'll break out of these chains; maybe I'll take your body instead." She lowered her voice as her expression darkened to a slightly sadistic one,
I grinned at her, "Ah, no can do, demon. See those flaps of paper on your chains? Yeah, they're anti-magic and well, demon-proof." I shrugged,
"That makes no sense. They use magic!"
I ignored her, "Y/N, are you really going to lose to a demon?"
"Shut up!" The demon seethed, whether it's was from rage or it was working I wouldn't know,
"Remember the promise we made, Y/N?" I observed the demon who seemed to be struggling,
"Dammit she's protesting, huh?" The demon huffed in irritation but shortly after they spoke again,
"Guren!" I recognised Y/N just from that,
My eyes widened, "Y/N, is that you?" I asked cautiously,
"Of course not. Stupid. I to-" the demon came to an abrupt stop and the struggle became more intense as Y/N fought for her body back,
"We promised neither of us would die. Are you about to break it to a sex-crazed demon?" I sadly teased,
The demon grunted one last time before Y/N's body finally went limp.
It was silent and Y/N didn't move.
"Y/N?" I cupped her face and lifted her head up to find silent tears streaming down her face, "Hey! What's the matter? You're back!" My other hand also cupped her face,
"Guren...I lost to a demon. I don't deserve a black demon series weapon." Y/N, muttered, hanging her head in shame,
"Hey, stupid, what kind of nonsense is that?" I smiled at her, wiping away her tears with my thumb, "You defeated a demon while you were possessed, hardly anyone can do that. Of course you deserve your weapon."
"But-"
"No. You're much stronger than you think. Have confidence in yourself."
She was silent for a while before smiling and shyly looking down, "Thanks," she mumbled quietly while pouting, "Can you untie me now?"
"Sure." I chuckled at how cute she was as I quickly disenchanted the fuda and unwrapped the chains; she quickly jumped up when she was free and hugged me,
"I'm sorry." She breathed hard into my chest,
"For what?" I said pulling her closer,
"I brought the team down, I wasn't there to help..."
"Hey." I frowned at her warningly, she looked up at me and smiled,
"Cute." She muttered,
"What happened, how were you possessed by a demon?" I furrowed my eyebrows,
"I was waiting where I was meant to be, but then your secret boyfriend appeared." She rolled her eyes,
"My secret boyfriend?" I echoed in confusion and disbelief,
"You know, the seventh progenitor."
"Ah, Ferid Bathory...Shit." I put my head in my hand,
"Is that his name?" She tilted her head,
"Yes. That still doesn't explain it, I'd have expected him to have turned you not possess you."
"Alright, well of course I got my shit rocked, that was inevitable but then Crowley Eusford came along and he told him he was wanted elsewhere so they left." She continued, "I looked for help, I wasn't able to walk so I had to crawl around, not to mention my vision was horrible too. Without realising, I accidentally touched someone's weapon and you know what happened next."
"I see." I muttered nodding,
"Guren, the demon showed me Mahiru...even my own demon doesn't do that."
My eyes narrowed ever so slightly, "That demon was very strange anyway. Do you know who the weapon belonged to?"
"No, I couldn't see their face properly and even if I could I wouldn't know who they were."
I hummed an ok,
"I was really beaten up, I guess the demon's regenerative powers healed me." She raised her hand to observe it,
"You'd still look beautiful anyway." I took her hand and kissed the back of it,
She looked at me as if I'd grown another head, "You didn't even see me."
"You girls and not being able to take compliments." I rolled my eyes,
"Whatever."
"Whatever." I copied, laying my head on top of hers,
She giggled,
We both turned our heads as we heard a large sigh, but the sigh of frustration Y/N let out was even louder, I glared at Shinya who stood by the doorway with his arms crossed,
"Now if I had known you two had snuck away for a snuggle I wouldn't have trekked all the way over here just to see if you guys were ok...this is the SECOND-"
"Ugh, relax you grumpy prick, I was being briefed." I muttered,
"Briefed my ass, I know if I had left it any longer you both probably be-"
"Stop seeking for opportunities to make sexual jokes, Mito told you, right?"
"She did, what happened then?"
"Long story short, I got possessed." Y/N spoke up sounding more happy than she should've been,
"How?!" His eyes were large in disbelief,
"I said long story short, meaning I'm not going to get into details,"
"Anyway, hurry up, won't the other team be returning from their mission?"
I cussed, "It failed." Causing Shinya and Y/N to look at me in confusion,
"What do you mean?"
"How do you know?" They both said at the same time,
"The mission was to eliminate the thirteenth progenitor Crowley Eusford." I started, and Y/N looked at me knowingly,
"He was here with the seventh progenitor just before I was possessed," she finished,
"Exactly."
Shinya silently did an 'Oh' expression.
"Let's go this is really bad." Y/N said as we ran back to the meeting point.
