Storybrooke, one year later...
Henry: Life in Storybrooke was just as it should be...a fairytale!
We all spent our days adventuring ourselves with magic, hope and love...Let's just say that after so long without Drizella, we missed making some tacos, a lot! Kind of the family recipe, if you know what I mean...
Snow and David were beyond thrilled to welcome us in their town. The coven witches also found their way, they even opened a business where they helped people acknowledging their fate and do some weird meditation.
Ella and Jack also found happiness and a new life in Storybrooke, they became the owners of a large shoe company. Kind of ironic, but then they had to deal with the other iteration of Cinderella, Ashley Boyd, the blonde woman wasn't happy to know that there were two of her.
As for me and Drizella...Well, outside the tacos manufactory...We also had some great things on our plate! We owned Gold's pawnshop, now that grandpa was in Hyperion Heights, saving the world, alongside Captain Hook.
Drizella spent most of her time in the pawnshop with me but let's just say that even there we did more than just selling some old trinkets. I guess we really loved tacos.
As for Philip and Clara, I finally accepted their love and cherished Philip as the best son in law I could ever have, I just hopped he wouldn't break Clara's heart just like Violet did with me.
And I'm saving the best for last! Regina and Emma! I was so happy that my moms were endgame, they've always loved each other, they deserved to find their happiness in a true fairytale love style.
After Emma proposed decently, the two of them were ready to officialize the wedding.
It was on august 1st that they finally got married! It was the happiest day of their lives, and I was there to take my mom Regina to the aisle.
"Nervous?" I asked, as me and my ink haired mom stared in front of the church's doors.
Regina was always checking up on her blueish and white dress, her hair and makeup. The queen was trembling with fear to walk down the aisle, yet so excited to finally marry Emma Swan.
"Yes I am. I'm just so happy to have you here, Henry." She said, hugging me, immediately after that.
"Me too. You deserve your happy ending, and I'm honored to be the one to take you to it."
"Oh Henry..." She whispered, starting to cry and blur her makeup. "I realize I never said it, but...Thank you, if you hadn't find Emma all those years ago, I'd never find my happy ending. You weren't just doing Emma a favor, getting her here, you were saving me..."
"Thanks mom, I really appreciate it. I love you, so much, you're the first person that ever loved me, and without you I'd also never find all the joy I have in my life, my Drizella, my Clara. All of it was possible because of you, because you raised me with love."
"Oh Henry, I love you...I love you more than anything."
"Me too, but save all those words for Emma, she's waiting on the aisle for too long, I think we're late."
"Oh, I'm late? Again? I guess that's karma, right?"
"Yeah." I giggled with a smile. "I suppose it is. Just...Don't burst the doors and threaten everyone with a curse, like in the past, okay?"
"Yes, I promise." She said, with a smile.
The doors finally opened, on the other side of the church, Storybrooke awaited with smiles glittering their faces, hands clapping and bodies shining dressed up with their old Enchanted Forest costumes.
It was such a big spectacle, filled with light and magic. The church was a replica of Snow's enchanting palace on the Enchanted Forest.
Amongst the guests, I could see so many of Storybrooke's beloved inhabitants. There was Pinocchio with Geppetto, the other Cinderella with her prince Thomas and their daughter Alexandra, she was all grown up! Now in her late twenties!
I also gazed upon Aurora and Philip, with their child all grown up as well, a handsome prince with amber eyes and reddish hair.
Granny was so old, but even so...Storybrooke's favorite grey haired lady attended the wedding. Standing beside her were the seven dwarves with the happiest of smiles.
Some guests came all the way from other fairytales realms just to attend the most legendary of weddings! There were Jefferson, the mad hatter, Ruby and Dorothy, who were standing beside Granny.
Robin Hood and the other Evil Queen came as well! Both of them looked younger than usual and they had Roland beside him, Robin's kid, plus a new face, we were yet to discover who was. A tall handsome prince like figure with chocolate brown hair.
There were many other there, from the Blue Fairy to Merida and Frankenstein! And how could I forget Elsa, Anna and Kristoff?! Yes, they came far from Arendelle just to get to the wedding as well. As for Zelena and Robin, they came from Oz and even brought some munchkins with them.
But of all the famous guests, the most important ones were Snow and David, that with grayish hair but glowing smiles, stood on the aisle, in their bright fairytale costumes, with Emma, beside them.
Emma, my other mom, she was fantastic. Her blonde hair was combed, a golden tiara above the golden locks and a beautiful majestic wedding dress. But what was more outstanding in her were the lips, red bright jewels which cut into a beautiful white smile when she gazed upon her beloved Regina, who was late, as usual, for the wedding.
"Sorry I'm late..." Regina whispered, with a bright smile, as she held my arm and the trumpets started the ceremonial songs.
I walked my ink haired mom through the aisle, passed our famous guests and then, as I left her with Snow, David and Emma, they all winked at me and smiled.
My duty was done, so I joined the rest of my family. Drizella, Clara, Philip, Jack, Ella and Lucy.
"Thank you for your presence. Today is a great day for our family. We're here to join these two wonderful women in a matrimonial everlasting bound." Snow said.
"Now, when you're ready, you can recite your vows." David said, with a small tear falling from his cheek.
"Emma...When I met you, I thought I already had everything that mattered in my life. I was the mayor of Storybrooke, I had my son, Henry, and my revenge...But then you entered in my life and we were both Henry's moms, so all I wanted to do was to get you the hell out of my town, so I could be with my son." Regina started sobbing in tears, as she and Emma intertwined their fingers. "But then something happened...You started saving everyone in Storybrooke, just as you were meant to...The savior...And my curse was weakening. At first, I thought that was my doom, but then I realized that I was just one of the people you were destined to save as the savior...Because I realized it wasn't hate the force that coexisted between us...No, it was passion, a burning love waiting to be outlived. Fate is a tricky thing, Miss Swan. It took me a really long time to find my story, to find out that it was with you. My stubbornness got me to lose many people I loved, to fall in the darkness a couple more times...But luckily for us, love doesn't have an expiration date, and time, fights, odds, only make it stronger. Now I realize, that you're the one that I love, my truest love, and that I wasn't the one you were born to defeat as the savior...No, I casted the curse all those years ago, fulfilling my role as the Evil Queen, but that was just a way to bring you to me, to this town, to bring us together, so that you could save me. Evil Queens are just the princesses that were never saved, but thanks to you, I was found...I was saved!"
My cheeks were drowning in tears, hearing mom's words. She really cared for Emma, I could tell. It was funny, how our story is never what we think it will be, our happy ending is always uncertain. I mirrored myself on Regina's words! A long time ago, I thought that my tale was with Cinderella, that with her I would find the epic love life that I was meant to live. But then, I realized it was Drizella, the wicked step-sister, who was meant to steal my heart. That's the funny thing about us and stories...We always think we are meant to live in a beautiful castle, beside a beautiful princess, but really, destiny, future, is unexpected, and that's what makes it so special! What would be the fun in knowing your future? What would be the fun in knowing what your happy ending looks like? Happiness is out there, is always out there, just as tragedy is, we just have to flow in the immense ocean of life, taste the dark and the light, until we get to our safe harbor, our true destiny. And the journey we left behind is our story! Our true story! One that was crafted to inspire the generations that will come after us.
"Regina, before I came to Storybrooke, I was a lonely person...So lonely, that in my twenty-eighth birthday, I went to a date that ended with me chasing the man because he was actually a thief and I was a bail bondsperson for a living...So after that terrible date, I went home and made myself a wish on a cupcake I bought for myself. I wished... to find someone with whom I could spend my birthday. And then someone knocked at the door. I was so surprised, wishing there would be a prince waiting for me, outside the door, to cherish me and make me company, but when I opened the door, what I saw...Was a small kid, Henry, telling me I was his birth mother. Henry wasn't the prince I expected, but soon I realized he was everything that I needed, in his mind I was his savior, but in my own, he was mine. Henry didn't just bring me to Storybrooke to break a curse, he brought me to you, so that the both of us could be his family, the family that we were always meant to be! My walls always kept others away, and I lost so much in love, but with you...I just knew, instantly...I knew that you were the one, and we spent so many times fighting each other, but I'd get through all of that, all over again, just to find you again. Because that's the thing about happiness, we can only find it if we save each other from the cruelity of the world. We can't expect for a hero in a shining armor to rescue us...The only way to find happiness is if each of us save each other."
"Regina Mills, do you accept Emma Swan to be your wife and love her for all eternity?" David asked.
"I do." Regina said, with a sweet smile filled with tears of joy.
"Emma Swan, do you accept Regina Mills to be your wife and love her for all eternity?"
"I do."
"Then now I pronounce you wives, you may kiss each other."
Regina and Emma smiled at each other, especially with David's word choice to define their matrimonial status, and as they placed their hands on each other's hips, their lips crushed against one another in an everlasting kiss.
Everyone clapped, as the love of my moms touched all of our hearts. When the savior and the Evil Queen found their happy ending, it meant they had found their story, and all of us were a part of their glorious tale, of curses, spells and many other odds.
In that day, the storybook closed, our stories were over, we learned the most beautiful lessons of all, and with it, our stories were found! And now, from that day on, we could live our lives, and face all the other adventures, all the love, family, and also all the loss and tragedy, knowing that no matter what...We could get pass it all...with HOPE!
