What was he doing?
Could someone please explain because, you know. Many people didn't talk to Belarus.
So why was he?
Oh right, that's why........
Germany walked into the UN with North America.
Nobody really stared at him though, since the end of the war, he had been active in trying to clean his reputation. So he had talked with many of the nations here.
But someone was looking at him and he felt to ashamed to make eye contact with that person.
Anger was also felt though, it really wasn't fair. The country of Hungary had joined the UN in 1955.
And yet she wasn't here.
Unlike Belarus and Ukraine, but hey. They were Russia's sisters. So that was most likely why they had the permission to be here.
As he sat down, he noticed Japan there too. He had joined in 1956.
Japan looked at Germany and gave him a nod.
And for some reason, Ludwig felt terrible... The way he had denied Japan and Italy being like brothers towards him...
The way he had denied his own blood...
"Why are you even here, Germany?" Belarus sneered, "They're letting you infiltrate the UN now?"
"Belarus!!" Ukraine squeaked out in surprise.
He opened his mouth to speak but Maria beat him to it.
"I could say the same to you bitch. Can't believe they let a damn commie infiltrate United Nations. Turn the fuck around princess," The girl simply said. She gave Belarus a look, daring her to reply.
Nations just watched.
Belarus shut her mouth as Diego and Alfred high fived their baby sister.
America was so proud.
Germany nodded a thanks to Maria and glared at Belarus a bit. He turned back to the host, South Africa.
As the meeting got started, Germany couldn't help but zone out. He had only come to this meeting to see someone...... But as he looked at that person.... He couldn't help but feel so guilty.
Would he even talk to him?
As he looked around the meeting room, he noticed Japan was actually sitting to North Italy. He didn't even notice the Italian.
Said country turned his head and the two made eye contact.
Germany once again felt extremely guilty...... Italy acted completely different around him after he told him that he and his Japan weren't his family. It wasn't like he had started to ignore him.
It just was..... he wasn't as cheery and touchy as before..... around him. Japan, who was always good at keeping distance, seemed a bit different too. He seemed more formal with him
And... it just felt so strange. He didn't like it.. He wanted Italy back, he wanted Japan back.
His friends back..
His brothers....
Before he knew what he was doing, Germany stood up and all eyes were on him.
"Italy, Japan," He said, looking straight at him, "Can I please talk to you two outside?"
The two looked at each other but looked back to him and nodded. They got up and started to walk out the room.
"What if they start another World War!?!" A voice asked, "Someone watch them!!"
All three looked hurt and winced at that but they walked out with their heads held high. They weren't proud of their past but couldn't do anything about it.
A few countries actually glared at the nation who made the statement.
"Ve~ Germany what did you want to talk to us about?" Italy asked once they closed the doors and were alone in the hallway.
"Hai," Japan nodded, "Is there something wrong?"
"Um," Germany struggled with his words, "No." How did he come out with this? Just say it.
Speak it from the heart.
Okay... here goes...

He didn't say anything...
Come on!! Say it damn it. You missed them....
He nodded, "Yes, something is wrong."
The two looked at him alarmed.
"Wh-" They were both cut off.
"I'm sorry," He said.
They looked at him confused.
"Ve~ For what?" Feliciano asked.
"For saying you two aren't like family to me.. You are family, you're my brothers. It was the three of us during the war," He was looking them both in the eye, "We were the bad guys of the war but... we stood by each other.... and became close... we became family. I'm so sorry I rejected that." He looked down in shame.
Family is not always about blood, sometimes it's about who is there to hold your hand and support you when you need them.
"Germany-sa-" Japan stopped himself, "Ludwig-san," He corrected, "We never held it against you.. We just thought that it was what you wanted," He gave Germany a small smile.
Honestly, these two were his only family. He had messed up with his original fam.
With China, the Koreas, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, and Thailand. But these two had become another family.
So when Germany said they weren't family.. That had hurt.
Badly, so so badly.
He wasn't good at this family thing. He knew that any little move he made could damage what he had with his two former allies. His two brothers...
"I'm not mad at you Germany," Italy smiled, he jumped on Germany and hugged him.
And for once, Germany didn't push him off. He actually smiled and slightly hugged his frien- brother back. Japan put a hand on Germany's shoulders.
"T-thank you," Germany smiled with tears in his eyes, "Thank you."
He wouldn't mess this up again.
XXXXXXXX After Meeting XXXXXXXXXX
Germany excused himself from Japan and Italy once he saw Belarus and Ukraine walk out.
"Belarus!! Ukraine!!" He called.
Both girls turned around, Belarus checked if Maria was with him.
"What do you want?" She asked annoyed.
He stopped. Was this a mistake?
No, he had to do this.
For his family.
"I would like to ask... can you both ask your brother if there was any chance of a another reunion.. I... I didn't-"
Belarus smirked, "You didn't go. I know, Brother said that. Don't waste your time, my brother has much more things to do than plan a Nazi reunion. You missed the one he took the time to organize with that Capitalist, that's your fault."
Germany and Ukraine just stared at her.
"Please," Germany begged, "I was only thinking of myself back then and missed the moment."
"Yes Sister, please!!" Ukraine agreed.
Family was important.
"The answer is no." Belarus glared at him, she walked off.
Ukraine sighed and looked at Germany, "I'm so sorry. I'll try to convince both of them," She gave him a smile and then rushed after her sister.
Germany slightly smiled, hopefully she could do that.
He turned around but bumped into someone and papers went flying.
"I'm so sorry," Both apologized as they went down to grab the papers.
When the papers were gathered, Germany stood up to give the person he bumped into his papers.
He looked at the person and dropped the papers again.
The same person who would make him feel guilty when he looked at him.
Austria.
He went back down and grabbed the papers and held them out to Austria. "Austria, I'm sorry for bumping into you. Are you alright?"
He nodded and took the papers, "I'm fine. I must get going now."
The sooner he left, the better.
"Wait." Germany said.
Why was he leaving so quickly?
Austria stopped and looked at him, "Yes?"
"I'm so sorry for how I treated you all, for skipping the reunion, losing contact, everything. I'm so so sorry. I'm trying to get us another reunion. It'll be long and hard but I'm trying." He looked up Austria to see what he thought.
Austria seemed neutral.
Shouldn't he be happy though?...
"Are you sure?" Austria asked.
Germany looked confused, "About what?"
"Everything you just told me. Are you saying something now, but it's gonna be different when... if the time comes?"
"I-"
"Are you going to disown us and lose contact no matter how hard we try to say in contact with you? Are you going to skip the reunion if we somehow have the chance or another? Are you going to break Prussia and Hungary's hearts again?" It looked like Austria had watery eyes.
It wasn't that Austria was totally mad at Germany... He was hurt.
"Are you going to tell Liechtenstein and Switzerland you don't have a family again?"
They had stood by Germany and he doubted them and lost all contact... He couldn't have that again.
He wouldn't allow that again.
He wouldn't allow Liechtenstein to cry over Germany again or Switzerland to look so sad.
No. As the oldest while Prussia was gone, he wouldn't allow that. He couldn't....
"Tell me Germany," He stated.
Honestly, they had waited for a reunion for so long.... And when the time came..... He didn't come.
What was that?
Germany swallowed hard and nodded, "I won't."
"Are you sure?"
Was he sure? He had messed up with both of his families and Japan and Italy forgave him.
But this was his blood right here....
What if he messed up?
Again?
Germany looked down, he couldn't answer.
Austria sighed and nodded. It was painful, but he turned away from his baby brother.
And started to walk away.
"Wait," Germany said and Austria stopped once more.
He turned around, "Yes?"
"Did we... did we have a father?" Maybe Austria knew that man.
Austria simply nodded. Of course Germany didn't remember Germania. He used to be HRE.
He sniffled at the thought of his father.
"Yes," He answered, "And you look just like him." He turned and walked off.
Germany only nodded and sadly watched him go.
That man was his.... father....
And was he sure he wouldn't hurt his family again......?
And Belarus was saying no to a reunion...
And he and Japan and Italy were hanging out again but would he mess it up once more....?
Germany let out a sigh and shook his head.
So much was going on. Why was family so complicated?

Well, this chap was something.
I hope Austria doesn't seem like a bad brother in this. He wasn't supposed to be displayed that way. For those who didn't understand him, he's basically hurt and doesn't know if he and Liechtenstein and Switzerland can take Germany suddenly ditching them again since it hurt so much.
