Duffs pov:
It has been a week since Stevens mom said she wanted to move.
School starts today.
I'm waiting for Steven to pick me up.
I hear a knock on the door.
I open the door.
"Bye mom!" I say as I step outside.
We walk to school.
~I'll skip school~
Steven and I walk out of the class room. Our classes are done for today.
I see Sarah surrounded by her friends. Her hands on her stomach. She looks at me and walks torwards us.
"Hey Duff! Steven!" she says.
"Oh hey Sarah." Steven says.
"I need some of your cheeck mucus." she says and looks at Steven.
"What? Why?" Steven says.
"Turns out I'm pregnant. I need it to see if your the father." she says.
"Paul is a friend of yours right?" she says and looks at me.
Paul? Who is Paul? Oh Fuck. That's Axl. Can Axl be a dad?
"Wait. You are pregnant?" Steven says.
"Yes. And maybe your the father. Or two other guys. I don't know." She says.
"Do you know Paul? From Denver?" Sarah says.
"Yes." I say.
"Who is Paul?" Steven asks.
"A guy from Jakes party. He went home with me." Sarah says.
"Can you get some cheeck mucus from him?" she asks me.
"I will do my best." I say.
"And I need some of yours too." She says and looks at Steven.
"Okay?" Steven says.
"Thanks. Bye." She says.
"Wait! You're... You're pregnant?" Steven asks but it's too late. She is gone.
"Lets go home." I say.
"Who is Paul?" Steven asks as we're out of school.
"He..." I say.
Should I tell him?
"He is Axl." I say.
"What? How? When?" Steven says.
"He told me Sarah was going to hook up with someone." Steven says.
"It was all part of a plan. We... Lets go to a more quiet place." I say.
"Where are we going?" Steven asks.
"The forest." I say.
"I'll drop my bag off at home first." Steven says.
We're almost at our homes.
I see Steven walking inside.
I walk upstairs and throw my bag on my bed.
"Steven and I are going to the forest!" I say.
"Be home by dinner!" my mom says.
I close the door behind me.
I see Steven with a different bag.
"We have the whole afternoon so I figured we could use something to drink." Steven says and pats his bag.
We start walking.
"Why is Axl Paul?" Steven says as we sit down in the forest. He opens his bag.
The spot we are almost at every weekend.
This spot is amazing. The trees are tall and beautiful. It smells amazing here. The way the sun shines trough the trees.
The way it shines on Stevens beautiful golden hair.
I'm in love. But will this be the reason it will fail?
"It was part of the plan." I say.
Steven opens a bottle of scotch. He habds me a bottle of beer.
"What plan?" He asks and takes a sip.
"The plan that... Do you remember that I kissed you?" I ask.
"Yes." Steven asks and takes another sip.
"That was the plan. Axl got rid of Sarah." I say.
"You really thought about that plan didn't you?" Steven asks and takes another sip.
"Yes. I loved you. I still do." I say.
Did I say that out loud? I take a sip of the beer.
"You... You still do?" he asks.
I nod and scratch the back of my head.
I bite my lip. Why did I say that?
Why did I do all of this?
Why do I like him?
What do I do now?
I see Stevend hand reaching to my hair. He takes a leaf out of my hair.
I see the leaf falling down. It feels like everything is happening in slowmotion.
I see Steven leaning into me.
I feel his hand in ny neck.
I feel his warm breath on my lips.
Is this a dream.
My hands are sweaty. I feel fucking dizzy.
I feel his lips on mine.
My heart explodes. It feels like a million rainbows came out of my heart.
That sounds pretty gay.
Our lips part and we look at each other.
"I... You... We..." is all I can say.
I don't know what to do right now. I feel happy, scared.
"I... I think I love you too. Ever since you kissed me at the party I never stopped thinking about it." Steven says.
That makes me so happy. But what does it mean? Are we together now?
"Will you go out with me?" I say. Probably a bit too fast and a bit too soft. It made me look like a teenage girl trying to talk to her crush. But that's how I feel right now.
Steven opens his mouth to talk.
"Tonight. To a restaurant." I say.
"Yes. I would love to." Steven says and smiles.
I feel like I'm gonna throw up. Of happiness. Does that make sence?
My crush kissed me and we're going on a date!
Oh. My. God.

What do I wear? What do we talk about? How should I look at him? Like he is my friend or boyfriend?
"Are you gonna pick me up?" Steven asks.
"Yes. I'll call my mom and tell her." I say.
"I'll do too." Steven says and smiles. In less than a second J see his smile fade away.
"Wait!" Steven says as I take my phone out.
"Don't tell your mom we're a thing. Don't tell anyone we're a thing." Steven says.
"W-we're a thing?" I say.
"Yes? I thought you wanted that." Steven says.
"Yes. Ofcourse." I say and smile.
"But why do you want to keep it a secret?" I ask.
"I don't want them to look at us differently. Even if they aren't a homophobe, they will look at us differently. And... And I can't take that." Steven says.
"It's okay. I won't tell anyone unless you're ready." I say.
"Thanks." He says and smiles.
I call my mom.
We can go on a date tonight.
We drink the bottle of scotch and the bottle of beer.
Then we both go home.
"Bye. See you tonight." Steven says and winks.
"B-bye." I say. I open the front door.
Lets just hope this isn't the moment where I wake up and find out this is all a dream.
