Roughly one year later, 2020

It was the one year anniversary of Grace's death. Since then, everything has changed. Cameron starred in three movies that year, and won two 2019 Emmys. The divorce with Alice caused him to be distant with just about everyone, focusing solely on his career and fame. He became too busy for anything and anyone which allowed relationships and friendships to fade away, especially his and Ariel's.

Ariel had met someone new through Med school. His name was Jesse and they began going steady that previous November. She told him all about her history with the famous Cameron Dallas as well as all the baggage she held, which intrigued him but only motivated Jesse to stay with her.

One could say that the two were finally moving on with their lives, leaving the past behind, where it was suppose to be left. However there was no denying for the both of them, that there was still this lingering misery in the pit of their hearts. Loneliness.

Cameron had fame, and Ariel had Jesse but neither filled the inevitable void they both possessed in their lives.

Denver

That morning, Ariel awoke on her bed beside Jesse who was knocked out. He had recently moved into the loft in April.

It was only 8 AM and she was wide awake, aware of the significance this day implied. She missed her bestfriend terribly and thought of her everyday. But Ariel had learned long ago that everything happens for a reason and it is what it is.

She unplugged her phone that charged beside her and decided to check her social networks. Throughout the year, Ariel had become very popular through social media. It was because of her relationship with Cameron, her social status of inking famous celebrities, and also being sighted so many times in popular events. She sort of created a fanbase she didn't really know what to do with. She was hardly ever active on social networks because of school, but this morning was different.

Ariel noticed everyone on Twitter was talking about Grace. They had mentioned her in multiple tweets that read "RIP Grace" and "One year today" and "She was so pretty" and so forth. It was fans worldwide sending their condolences via Twitter but only made Ariel extremely confused.

She never put anything about Grace on her social accounts. Only the people near and dear to her knew about her loss. Then, she finally thought of the one person who could cause this much people to care about such a small lost.

She quickly checked Cameron's account. To her dismay the last active tweet was three days ago, and was only promoting his new movie. Nothing about Grace that would have caused such publicity. But it didn't take long to recognize the tweets that had.

She came across each of the boys' account and almost forgot that they had all met her back in Manhattan.

@NashGrier: Heaven received an angel #1yearAgoToday RIP Grace

@ShawnMendes: She was such a charismatic, light hearted girl. She wasn't a fan, she was our friend. #1yearAgoToday RIP Grace

@Mr_Carterr: Felt like yesterday when she was our therapist during the magcon break up.... we love u Grace.

The photo Matt posted was of all of them in Cameron's premiere party. Grace was standing in the middle, as her and the boys did their silliest face. It was obvious how close Grace had gotten to the boys that night for them to care so much. The only people missing in the photo were Cameron and Ariel.

Cameron must have told all of them about her loss, because she certainly didn't. Still, it amazed Ariel how much things changed since then. Cameron and Nash had become famous, aspiring actors. Shawn's singing career only grew, and had toured worldwide the previous summer. Jack G. and Taylor Canniff became models while Jack J. and Matthew became comedians. The rest of the boys grew their fame in different ways. And Grace was dead.

It grew a nostalgic so deep, the only way to express her mourning was to tweet.

@_arielvi: Thank you so much for your condolences. We will continue to miss Grace everyday, but she is in a far better place now. #1yearAgoToday

It instantly flood her notifications.

Beverly Hills

"Mr. Dallas, Nash Grier is out in the foyer waiting for you," his assistant, said timidly, knocking on his bedroom door.

"What is he doing here?" Cameron snapped. He was in his brand new celebrity house, wrapped around some random groupie. Flings and one night stands became a regular for Cameron.

"I believe he's here for your party tonight, Sir."

"What party?"

"Your Open House party you decided to throw to celebrate your new home in Beverly Hills," she said. "Sir."

"Shit, that's tonight?"

"Yes, Sir."

Cameron groaned. "I'll be out." He carelessly shrugged off the woman who was asleep and clinging to him, and got up. He slipped on a Calvin Klein underwear and headed for the door.

"Hug me, my brotha!" Nash exclaimed the instant Cameron opened the door. He immediately clung onto Cameron's shoulder. Behind him stood a bodyguard.

"Hey," Cameron said dryly. He let Nash and his bodyguard in to marvel at the enormous, brand new house.

"Holy shit, Cam! This place is fucking great!"

"Thanks."

"This must have cost you a fortune, man."

"Well, not when you star in two Emmy winning movies," Cameron gloated. He grinned wickedly and plopped on to his matte black sofa.

"Oookay, I'm going to ignore your arrogance and hostility cause frankly, I just miss you too damn much," Nash said taking a seat across from him. "Where've you been, Cam? I haven't heard from you in months."

Cameron shrugged. "Busy."

"You know, I was actually surprised when your assistant called mine. Told me you copped a house out here in Beverly, and was throwin' some huge Hollywood party. Crazy man."

"You want something to drink?" Cameron asked changing topics.

"Glass of white wine would be nice."

"Lorie!" Cameron yelled. His assistant suddenly rushed into the living room.

"Again, it's Laura, Sir.," she muttered as politely as possible. "But how can I assist you?"

"Get Nash a glass of white wine."

"Yes, Sir." She scurried off to the kitchen.

Nash was amazed. In all their years of friendship, he had never seen Cameron like this. But he quickly shrugged off the thought.

"So, who will all be at the party?"

"Celebrities from all over the place. It's gonna be the biggest party of the summer, Nash."

Suddenly, Cameron's assistant came back to the living room with a glass of wine and handed it to Nash.

"Thank you, Laura," he smiled warmly. She flushed, kindly nodded and exited. He turned his attention back to Cameron. "Did you invite the rest of the guys?"

"I don't know," Cameron shrugged. "My assistant took care of all that shit."

"So, I'm guessing you didn't invite Ariel then."

"Is she a celebrity?" That answered Nash's question. Nonetheless, he had no idea why Cameron was acting so cold.

Suddenly, the woman who Cameron had slept with that night, came down the spiral stairs wearing nothing but his T Shirt. She held her clothes and heels in one hand and casually headed to the front doors of the house without saying a word.

"W-who was that?" Nash asked quizzically. Cameron turned his head to watch the girl leave.

"Casie, or Marissa, or something like that. I don't know."

Nash snorted. "Well congratu-fucking-lations, Cam. You've officially become Beverly Hills biggest dick."

Cameron rubbed his face in annoyance. "Is there a reason you're here so early, Nash?" he asked. "Cause I have lunch with Depp and DiCaprio in an hour."

"Depp and DiCaprio," Nash grinned widely. "You're pretty big shit now, huh?"

There was an awkward silence that indicated that Cameron just wanted Nash to leave. "All right, all right," he finally said standing up. "I'll go. Just don't get too in over your head, bro."

Nash and his bodyguard, who stood next to the front doors the entire time, headed for the door.

"See ya tonight, Cam!" Nash called as he left. Cameron didn't say anything back.

**Ugh, I hate making Cameron look so douchey lol. But it's pivotal for these next chapters, I promise! Don't forget to vote/comment (:**
