-Y/N's POV-
"Guren!" I whined, panting,
He said nothing but grinned at me, I pouted,
"Slow down, please."
"Slow down?" He echoed but instead he sped up his pace,
I groaned as I backed myself into a wall and tripped, Guren was sprinting towards me with his sword in the air so I quickly had to roll out the way before I was sliced in half.
Guren skidded to a stop and turned to me as I quickly stood up and got back into a fighting stance, "Are you going to ask a vampire to slow down, Y/N? They're much faster than I am."
"I don't even fight vampires with a sword." I said exasperated as our swords clashed,
"There may be a situation where you have to." He stumbled back a bit as I blocked his attack,
"Remind me why I asked you to train me again...?" I sighed taking steps back,
"Keep whining and I'll activate the curse." He began running towards me again,
"Wait- no fair, I don't have a curse." I ducked his attack, spun around and attempted to roundhouse kick him, however he managed to catch my leg; I'd predicted that would happen so I quickly pushed off my free leg and high kicked. Guren saw what I was doing and seemed impressed, he leaned back to dodge it and released my other foot I landed and hopped back up, gripping my sword with both hands, it wasn't over yet though.
I went in for the attack this time, grinning as I finally had the upper hand.
I swung my sword at Guren, however he quickly ducked, and turned around. Suddenly, I felt his arm slip around my waist and I squealed as I was pushed up against the wall.
Panting, I looked up to find his face was just inches from mine, "Hey, you can't just seduce a vampire during a battle." My voice was nearly at a whisper,
"You think I'm seductive?" He smirked, I had to force my eyes to not trail down to his lips,
"My point still stands." I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow,
He sighed, "It could though! Just imagine being a vampire and your dinner just practically runs into your arms."
I laughed, "Try it and see how that turns out."
"Alright, that's enough for today." He returned his sword into its sheath,
"I was about to win." I huffed,
"I know, babe." He pulled me in by the waist and pecked my forehead before going off to get a bottle of water. My heart was fluttering too much for me to get mad at the fact he said that just to shut me up.
"Catch." He tossed me a bottle of water and I caught it before taking sips, I sat against the wall crossed legged and Guren shortly joined me, snaking his arm around my waist again, I leaned over placing my head on his shoulder.
We sat in a comfortable silence before something came across my mind, "Guren, have you told Shinya?"
"No, do you want me to?"
"I don't really mind if you do or not. I just have a feeling he'll work it out or he probably already knows."
Guren sighed at the thought, "Yeah, if he asks just treat it as his usual bantering. I don't really want to deal with his ass teasing us at the moment,"
I could hear footsteps getting closer from outside the door and quickly sat up straight, Guren also heard it too as he quickly brought his arm back to himself. I quickly sparked the conversation about the current war as Shinya entered the dojo.
"Finished training?" He walked up to us with his hands stuffed in his pockets,
Me and Guren pretended to be pulled out of our 'In-depth conversation' and looked in his direction.
"Hm? Yeah." I answered, glancing over to him,
"What have you been doing?" Guren turned his head,
Shinya grabbed a kendo stick from the shelf and spun it in his hands before turning to us with a hard stare, "Me? I've been working and we have to train soon." He sighed rolling his eyes,
"Oh, I forgot about that, now I have more training." I put my head in my hands in exasperation,
"That's a good thing." Guren inputted,
"No it's not. What's the point of training a second time? I want to sleep."
"At least you'll be better than everyone there."
"Oh, shut up."
Shinya snorted, "Who said she'll be better than me?"
"Wanna bet?" I glared at Shinya,
"Do your worst." He smirked,
"Ohoho." I grabbed my weapon and stood up,
"Not now kids, we have to go and train now." Guren interrupted,
"Fine, you'll see later." I turned my chin up and crossed my arms,
Shinya only side-eyed me and laughed.

I was in Guren's office sat on the opposite sise of his desk, watching him work,
"I want to drink." I pouted with my hand cupping my chin,
Guren looked up, "You have to stay sober for now, I'm afraid." He returned to his work,
"But I'm bored."
"You drink when you're bored?" Guren raised an eyebrow,
"Why not?"
"Your poor liver..."
"I'm not bored that often." I rolled my eyes,
There was a silence, before I noticed there was a bookshelf to my left, I stood up and walked towards it and rummaged through the books.
They were mostly non-fiction about weapons, demons and all that.
"You don't read fiction." I asked,
"I don't have the time." He replied,
I continued going through the books until I came across one titled 'The Seraph Of The End'. I raised my eyebrow and took it out. I began flicking through the pages until I stopped at one and read what it said:
'A seraph is a Holy Being or more specifically an Angel. They strive to wipe out the entirety of the human race due to the belief that eradicating all that sins is just and morally correct. If properly transformed they'll usually take no interest in vampires or any other race.'
My forehead scrunched in confusion, the rest of the page involved other important details about these so called seraphs which I didn't bother to read. Instead I turned the page and my eyebrows creased as I read the next page intrigued:
'A curse known as 'The Seraph Of The End' can be devised through human experimentation and developed in a host, typically a human. If successful a seraph will be capable of possessing it's host; however, meddling in such is taboo and can lead to chaos descending upon the world more specifically upon the race that interfered with the curse originally.'
My hand moved to continue going through the book, but I felt Guren's arm slip around my waist, he took the book from my hands and placed it on a shelf I couldn't reach, before turning me around to face him. I frowned,
"I've finished my work, what do you want to do?"
"That book was interesting." I huffed,
"I'm more interesting." He brought his face closer to mine,
"No, you're not." I crossed my arms,
"Oh really?" He cocked his head to the side and cupped my face while giving off a slightly intimidating aura,
I bit my lip and nodded,
"Let me interest you then..."
"That was corny." I cringed, laughing and hugging his waist,
"I know." He muttered, chuckling, before he kissed me, the kiss was quite long but it felt short as Guren broke it,
"Do you want something to eat?"
I smiled, "Sure!"
"Cool." He pecked my lips before grabbing my hand and leading me to the door.
Although in the back of my mind I couldn't help but wonder about the Seraph Of The End. Clearly Guren didn't want me knowing about it; he'd done a damn good job of keeping it from me, but the information I managed to obtain seemed enough to slowly put the pieces together. I decided I'd recollect my thoughts later on my own.
