When Taehyung left Jungkook's house that evening, he felt really good. Except his best friend Jimin, no one ever really cared about him like that.
I can't believe that Jungkook is kind like this.. I'm glad he's my friend! He's a real angel!
Little did he know, the aforementioned started to prepare his next assassination in his basement the moment Taehyung left.
But for now, the other would remind a sweet little pea in the older's mind.
Older who was currently almost skipping to his house, happy to get back to his lover. He couldn't wait to hug him and get filled up with love and care.
Because he knew that when they had lower moments, Jaehyun would always show his love for him a lot more as an apology, which Taehyung always gladly accepted.
The brown-haired male finally arrived in front of his place after a long walk in the night breeze and he ran up the stairs, knocked on the door and waited.
Until he realized...
What am I going to say to him?! I can't possibly come up and tell him : 'Oh.. well I slept at a friend's house, a friend that I've met recently and you don't know about, he helped me a lot and hugged me better, he was really kind!'
Jaehyun would absolutely freak out and possibly want to talk to that new friend. The boy knew that when his boyfriend 'talked' to people, Taehyung wouldn't see them again for an unknown reason.
The brunet started to panic as he heard the door get unlocked and pushed open, revealing his half-asleep boyfriend. As soon as Jaehyun saw him, his eyes widened and a glint appeared in them as he engulfed Taehyung in a comforting hug.
"Baby! Where were you? You had me worried sick!" The blonde one said as he rubbed circles in the back of the other, who hugged him back.
"I-I was.." and he said the first thing that he had in mind. "I was at Jimin's place." The younger said confidently, sure that he was out of trouble.
Boy was he wrong.
"Jimin? That annoying-ass pink head again? Did I not tell you to spend more with me than him? Was he the reason that you came back that late? Oh boy, I'm going to kill him!" Jaehyun almost yelled as he broke the hug and walked inside quickly, his heavy footsteps resonating in the whole house, scaring Taehyung.
This was not the reaction the other expected at all.
"W-Wait Jae, please don't! Tomorrow I-I promise I'll tell him I can't be with him anymore and I'll stop hanging out with him! Please! J-Just don't hurt him.." The brown-haired male begged his love, tears filling up his big, pleading eyes as he followed the other that was storming away.
He didn't know what he would do if Jimin would get hurt by his fault. He would never forgive himself and would probably feel the guilt eat him alive for the rest of his life.
"P-Please Jae..." He added, letting his head fall forward so he could hide the tears that were streaming down his face, clinging to the arm of his boyfriend, squeezing it to hopefully make him realize that he was speaking the truth.
Then, he made a harsh decision, for the sake of his friend.
"I-If you h-have to h-hurt someone, it's m-me." He said shakily, closing his eyes while he braced himself for an impact that was surely coming.
The other sighed loudly and clicked his tongue. Then, he walked away, his footsteps could be heard until they stopped and the sound of a door opening replaced them. That same door closed itself after a few seconds, letting the house get silent once more.
Taehyung released a breath he hadn't realized he was holding and wiped his tear-stained cheeks, sniffing a few times.
Since he was pretty tired by all that happened, the boy decided to just walk back to the door to kick off his shoes that he hadn't taken off and went to lie down on the couch, exhausted.
As soon as he hit the fabric, his eyes closed and he fell into a light sleep filled with apprehensions and nightmares.
The next day~
The brown-haired boy woke up very early because of the light shining on him from the window of the living room. It made his face look very pretty and the distressed look in his eyes was forgotten by the rays of the sun hitting them and making the surface all glittery-like. Everyone that would've seen him in that moment would say that he looked like an angel.
He still was quite scared about what could possibly happen with Jimin.
Should I text him in case something happens... Well I trust Jaehyun, he won't do anything.
Being a little bit more confident about what would happen today and unable to get back to sleep, the boy sat up and stretched himself, looking around the house.
It seemed like Jaehyun didn't wake up yet so the brown-haired figure walked around the house on his tiptoes to make sure he wouldn't disrupt the other's sleep. He prepared breakfast for the two and ate his portion.
Noticing that he still had a bit of time before they had to leave for school, Taehyung went to the house's first floor bathroom and took a quick shower, only putting on a towel around his waist so he wouldn't need to put on his dirty clothes from yesterday.
The boy slowly walked to his and Jaehyun's room, opening the door slowly..
Only to notice that the room was empty.
"What the.." Taehyung said out loud, looking around the empty bedroom. He moved to stand in front of their shared closet and opened it, immediately noticing that the other's uniform was missing.
Did he leave without me? The boy wondered.
He quickly put on his own clothes and then realized that since Jaehyun was always the one that dropped them both off to the school in a car, he would be late for classes. And since he missed a lot of them because of the incidents that happened this week, he couldn't really afford to be late today.
A screeching sound was heard across the home as the boy grabbed his bag at the front door and put on his shoes at the speed of light before opening the front door in a hurry and closing it.
He struggled to lock it as he was shaking so much, jumping from one foot to the other. Finally, he pushed the key in the hole and could be on his way.
Taehyung ran with all his might until he saw the school's building, the adrenaline guiding his steps, almost tripping a few times on the way because he hurried too much.
Panting and folding his body in half to catch his breath once he arrived, he heard steps behind him.
"Tae? Are you okay?" A familiar voice asked him, Jungkook.
Straightening up and turning his head to face the boy that was now standing beside him, he greeted him by a tiny nod.
"Y-Yeah, I just ran here because I didn't want to be late!" He explained a little bit too cheerfully to hide all the emotions battling inside of him, which didn't go unnoticed by the ravenette, who frowned slightly.
"Well let's go so you can accomplish your goal, we still have to get to the class you know?" Jungkook said with a smile, opening his hand to motion for Taehyung to go first, which he did.
The younger followed behind him and they both walked to the front door of the school. But Taehyung stopped in his tracks once he noticed something happening on the side of the building.
While staring at the scary scene, Taehyung spoke to Jungkook. "G-Go first Jungkook, I-I'll meet you there." And he ran.
Because he saw Jimin being lifted off the ground by his shirt's collar and being pinned to the school's wall by a furious-looking Jaehyun that was talking to him very quickly and very close to his face.
"J-Jaehyun stop!" The younger of the three yelled when he was close enough, grabbing his boyfriend's arms and trying to yank them away from Jimin's uniform.
"Taehyung let me go. This little shit needs to learn his lesson." The blonde said very lowly while keeping the eye contact with the boy he was lifting off from the ground.
"P-Please.." The boy didn't know what to do as he saw his best friend's face turn red from the restricted amount of air he was receiving, a look of determination still present in his eyes.
Then, a voice familiar to everyone except Jimin was heard close to them.
"Jaehyun? What are you doing here?"
