Dia's POV
His hand raises and grabs my arm forcefully and pushes me against his desk.
"You listen here Dia, I get to do whatever the hell I want and if it makes you homeless or jobless or in debt, shows you are mine, and whatever's mine knows their place and wouldn't make me angry." His face grows closer to mine. "Do you understand Dia?"
I nod my head, but his grip around my arm becomes tighter.
"Do you understand ME."
"Yes. Yes I understand." Tears begin to form in my eyes.
"You better not fucking cry."
"I won't." I say as I wipe my eyes with my free hand. He loosens his grip around my arm and hugs me. I hug him back, I fear that he'll hurt me if I don't show him affection back. "Carter?"
"Yes my little angel?"
"Can I go home. I'm pretty wiped out from today."
"Yeah, we can head home now."
We can head home?!? Wtf?
Carter calls his secretary and tells her to get someone to drive my car to his estate and he then turns to me and smiles. The call end and he holds my hand and takes me to his car. "Dia, I want you to know I love you, and I would never try to hurt you badly." I look at him "But why hurt me at all, aren't I suppose to be special to you?" I feel tears forming again. Carter stops the car. "You are special more than anything, but I hate disrespectful things that you do." He kisses me "I will change some of my ways, but I can't promise you that I won't lash out on you in the process."
Lies on top of lies on top of more lies. In his eyes they show love but there is a whole bunch of anger balled up.
I kiss his cheek. "Please don't hurt the people you love." I began to cry, I fucked up. I thought I gotten someone better than my ex but I got something worse. Carter starts driving again and 15 minutes later we come up the driveway of his estate.
I undo my seat belt and grab my things. Carter steps out the car and opens up the door on my side. I step out and he closes the door.
"It's beautiful right?"
I look around the whole area with amusement "I love it." I say with a smile.
His eyes light up with joy and he picks me up and takes me inside. He brings me to a room and takes off my shoes.
"Dia..." He says in a low voice
"Yes?"
He pulls out a small box, he opens it and it's a another ring.
"I just thought the ring I gave you before was so cheap, so I went to get you another."
I cup his face. "It wasn't cheap, you proposed to me with love and affection that's all that matters."
He then stands up and pins me to the bed.
"Dia, I-"
