You flew around the city laughing. You looked down at Metro city below and watched as the humans went about their daily lives. You were now a free bird; you could go anywhere you wanted! You smiled and saw the setting sun. You then boosted your speed and flew as fast as you cold around Metro city. You grinned as you felt the wind against your face. You then felt yourself grow tired and frowned. Suddenly, it was a lot harder to fly. You sighed as you began to fall. You then crashed into a tree and fell to the ground. Great, now you couldn't move your body. You sighed and pressed a button on your chest. Alfonze had installed this by Tawashi's orders so you could contact Astro and that so the ministry of science could also keep track of your location. Okay, maybe you weren't a free bird. But hey, at least you can leave the room without having to worry about somebody finding you out. Not long later, Astro landed on the ground beside you. He then looked down at you and rested his hands on his hips while shaking his head.
"Oh Y/N, how many times do I have to warn you about using up all your energy?" Astro scolded as he picked you up. You frowned.
"Hey, it's not my fault that I run out of energy easily." You told. Astro gave you a look.
"No, you just use too much in one day. Your energy span is quite great actually. I bet you just forgot to recharge this morning." You flinched. Damn, he was spot on. You HAD forgotten to recharge. You were just so excited to go outside that you completely forgot about the fact that you now didn't have an endless power source. You crossed your arms and turned your head away as Astro carried you home.
Astro dragged you over to the nearest power outlet in your room and plugged you in. You sat on the floor with a pout on your face. Astro chuckled and poked you in the cheek.
"Oh come on, what's with that look? It was your fault for being so forgetful." Astro told. You frowned at him and watched as he walked over to the table and picked up one of your portable gaming consoles. He then walked back over to you and handed it to you. "Here, play this while you recharge." You took the gaming console and turned it on. You then cringed when a princess dress up game showed up.
"Ugh, Uran left one of her games in here." You muttered, but still decided to have a go at the game. Astro raised his eyebrow and walked over to your shelf of games. He scrolled through the titles, seeing a few familiar names. Astro then looked around your room. It wasn't bare anymore. It had a bed, a few shelves filled with games, anime and manga, a few posters littered the wall, heck you even had a few action figures. Astro hummed in thought. There was a word for this, but what was it? Astro then clicked his fingers and turned towards you.
"You're an Otaku!" Astro exclaimed. A tick mark appeared on your head and you threw the clock form your bedside table at him. Astro ducked, causing the clock to miss him and smash against the wall, creating a dent. Astro stared at the clock with wide eyes. Although the wall had a large dent in it, the clock miraculously was still in one piece! Astro straightened and walked over to the clock. "Woah, that's one impressive clock." Astro commented. You huffed at him. You then turned around and pulled your chord out. You then stood up.
"I'm bored, I want to do something." You complained. Astro sweat dropped at you and turned towards the TV.
"Well, you could always go and watch some anime." Astro suggested. You sighed and walked towards the TV. Astro looked down at the clock and frowned. He then picked it up and checked the time. "I should get going, I have to go to school tomorrow." You raised your eyebrow at him.
"I've been meaning to ask you, but what's school?" You questioned. Astro's eyes widened.
"Well, school as a place where you learn. You can also make friends there and have fun!" Astro explained. His face then brightened in delight as an idea came to him. He then grabbed your hands. "I know! You can come to school WITH me!" Astro exclaimed while grinning. You frowned at him.
"It sounds boring, learning." You stated. Astro shook his head.
"No it isn't. And besides, I think it'll be good for you! You can learn about the human society, about everyday life, you can even make some human friends!" You froze at the words 'human' and 'friends'. You then ripped your hands out of Astro's and shook your head.
"No way, I'm NOT becoming friends with a HUMAN." You said stubbornly. Astro frowned.
"Aw, come on. It'll be fun! Come on, try it for at least ONE day. Please?" Astro begged as he gave you the puppy eyes. Your eyes widened. You then felt your chest tighten at the look. W-what the heck was this feeling? For some reason the look that Astro was giving made you want to embrace him. Your eyes widened. Oh no, what was happening!? You gritted your teeth and tore your eyes away from him.
"A-alright! Just don't pull that face! It makes me feel weird." You told. Astro smirked. Got her. He then smiled innocently as you turned back towards him. He then tackled you in a hug.
"Yay! We'll start tomorrow! Then we'll enrol you into the school." Astro told as he nuzzled his cheek against yours. You sighed in annoyance. This was going to be hell.

You stared up at the school with a frown. You weren't even inside and you already wanted to go home. Astro had woken you up at such a ridiculously early hour and you wanted to sleep. Astro had made sure that you were charged up and ready for the day. You then felt Astro push you towards the school.
"Come on Y/N, or we'll be late!" Astro urged as he pushed you onto the school grounds. You groaned and refused to move your feet. Kids gave you both odd looks as Astro pushed you inside the building.
"Astro!" Your eyes widened as someone called out Astro's name. You then turned to see three kids running towards you both. Your eyes widened. Human children! They were the worst of them all! You ripped yourself out of Astro's grip and dashed off. Astro's eyes widened and he watched you run off in shock. He then turned towards the three kids and smiled apologetically.
"S-sorry guys, I'll catch up with you in class." Astro then ran after you, leaving three confused kids behind.

You sighed in relief when you didn't see anybody around. You had ran and hidden behind a building near the fence. You looked up at the fence. You really wanted to just fly out of there, but you couldn't. You had that stupid tracking device in your body, meaning that Astro could just track you down and drag you back. You sighed and sat down. You then hugged your legs to your chest and rested your chin on your knees. You didn't want to go to school. Why did you even agree in the first place? You then heard footsteps approach you and glanced up to see Astro with a worried look on his face. He then sat down next to you. You both sat together in silence.
"I'm sorry." Astro apologised. You turned away from him.
"About what?" You questioned. Astro scratched the back of his head.
"Well, about bringing you here. I should have known that you weren't ready to meet humans yet but I still..." You sighed and looked at him.
"No, I shouldn't have run off. I should have met them head on." You told. Astro raised his eyebrow at him.
"Why are you so scared of meeting them?" You growled at him.
"I'm NOT scared! I just..." You then sighed and looked up at the sky. "I'm afraid that I'll end up hurting someone again. Astro, I've...done some things in the past that I'm not proud of." You admitted. Astro looked at the ground.
"I know." Your eyes widened and you looked at him.
"Wait, you know that I've harmed humans in the past!?" It was now Astro's turn to give you a shocked look.
"Wait, you know that you've killed humans in the past!? Did you get your memories back!?" Astro questioned. Your eyes widened even more.
"Wait, hold up, I've KILLED humans in the past!? Does this have to do with my memories!?" You questioned. Astro froze. Uh oh.
"I-I thought that you were referring to your memories!" You frowned.
"No! I meant when I first woke up! And the times that I went on an attacking spree on the towns." You then looked down at your hands. "I've...killed people...?" You then started chuckling. "I guess that I really am a monster." You then stood up. "I-I can't be around humans! I'm going home." Astro's eyes widened as you started walking away. Astro then reached forwards and pulled you back. You growled and turned towards him. "What do you think that you're doi-" You froze when Astro embraced you.
"It's alright, that wasn't you back then. That was somebody else." Astro told. You frowned. What was he on about? Astro then shakily sighed and sat down. You sat back down next to him and looked at the sky. Astro let out a shaky sigh and clenched his hands together. "I...too have done things that I'm not proud of." You raised your eyebrow at Astro.
"What, did you steal candy from a baby or something?" You questioned. Astro shook his head. He then looked at his hands and started to shake.
"I...there was a time...that I had to save my friends. But there was this old man, and I couldn't beat his robot. So, Dr Elephan changed my body so that it produced electricity. After a few events, the old man's cat, it jumped at me and touched me, killing it. In a fit of rage, he too jumped at me. I-I tried to stop him, but he wouldn't listen. The moment he touched me, he..." Astro hid his face inside his hands. You stared at Astro with wide eyes. He's killed a human before...? You reached out and rested your hand on his shoulder.
"Astro..." Astro shook his head and breathed in.
"No, I'm okay. I just...I shouldn't have hidden this from you. You've been through so much. To be honest, if I was in your shoes, I wouldn't be able to handle the guilt. You're so brave, you're so admirable. I...want to be there for you." Astro told as he held your hand. You glanced down at his hand. You then squeezed it and stood up.
"I'll...go and give being a student a shot." Astro's eyes widened. He then smiled and hugged you.
"Y/N you don't know how happy this makes me! Trust me, you'll have a great time!" Astro exclaimed. You sighed.
"Yeah..."
