There was such a rush inside the castle today; people going in and out. It's not a surprise, since the wedding ceremony is going to be held tonight.
My mother dragged me to the bathing house for traditional bathing ritual. I never knew that such weird thing ever existed. But my mother said that it was cleansing the virgin phoenix bride in order to be presented to his future husband.
She had also brought few maids from Phixera. Altogether they helped me into the pool of warm water, filled with lotus petals. Then they applied a mixture of pearl powder and goat milk on my skin and applied olive oil on my hair and combed it ( I fell asleep in the middle of the process)
My mother washed the oil off with water mixed with rose oil and washed my whole body with lotus scented water.

I was sitting on a stool in my room. My mom and maids had such a fun dressing me up. They put a cloth on the mirror in front of me.
I was now wearing a white cotton shirt and white pants that hugged my body.
My mom took a white and gold, embroided hanfu. Maids helped me to wear it.
Then she put golden earrings and a gold necklace.
She didn't forgot talk nonstop with Lizza about all these jewelries that were passed from one generation to generation.
Lizza, being a jewelry experts and a good listener, got along with my mom.

I whined because of all the pressure on my head. "Mom! I don't think I can even stand wearing all these"
"I know honey, just try harder" she said nonchalantly while securing it with golden pins.
Then she outlined my eyes with coal and applied gold dust on my eyelids. She didn't applied any powder because my skin is naturally milky white.
Maid squealed at my appearance saying how beautiful and glowing I was. Of course I would be glowing. My mom made me wear nearly fifty pounds of gold.
"honey you will look like a goddess, if you don't have that scowl on your face"
"Thanks mom"
"He looks pretty even with his scowl" Lizza butted in.
"shut up Lizza"
Mom covered my face with a white veil and secured it with gold pins.
Mom looked out of the window "It's getting darker. We should go now. Ceremony will start soon"
Then she held my arm. "Lizza, help me to stand him up"
