"i wanted to take you for your actual birthday, but it just wasn't do-able until after, i hope that was okay."
natalia scoffed at her boyfriend, "even if it was months after my birthday, it would still be perfect. even if we didn't go to paris, it would have been perfect too! i just want to spend time with you." she said wholy.
timothee looked at her with a soft open mouthed smile on his gentle features, "dear god i am so in love with you."
natalia giggled, "well thats a relief, because i am with you too!" she spoke childishly.
the couple spent the day trudging around paris until the sky turned into darkness, despite the pair already having experienced the beauty of paris in their past, they had never quite experienced it like this. they were together in a place that held so much emotion and history for timothee and natalia felt that when she was around him, she felt how he felt -- overwhelmed with happiness.
they spent their evening under the eiffle tower with a corner shop brought bottle of red wine-- the cheapest they could get, whilst natalia brought that, timothee had brought her a boquet of red roses: her favourite. they giggled drunkenly as they gazed at the tall lit up building to the early hours of the morning.
the next day, they had met up with pauline and her boyfriend-- the pair of them and timothee would often have conversations in french and timothee would catch natalia nodding along as if she knew what the hell was being spoken about. he wouldn't call her out about it though, he knew she would get all embarrassed and self concious, he found it adorable.
in that moment, everything was perfect. nothing could ever ruin the moment and natalia and timothee wanted to live in this feeling forever.
