Nick's P.O.V:
I toss my car keys in its normal glass bowl by the front door to my apartment before I loosen the black tie around my neck. I place my briefcases down and let out a long sigh as I make my towards the kitchen and fill up a glass of water. I glance at the clock before I look away again.

It's only 1:37am i'm probably going to be awake for the next couple of hours too. My eyes shoot up towards the living room area when the lamp switches on. Olivia pulls the blanket away from her body before she stands up, making me look away.

"Can...I get you anything?" She asks.

"What are you? My maid?" I say before I drink my water. From the corner of my eye, I see her make her way towards the kitchen slowly.

"I made chicken and-" She starts but stops talking when I place my empty glass down and walk away from her. I walk into our bedroom and take my jacket off before I place it on the back of the chair. Olivia walks into the bedroom like a lost puppy, making me let out a sigh.

Can't I go anywhere without being followed?

I take a seat on my side of the bed and bury my head in my hands. Oliva walks further into the room but instead of coming towards me, she walks to her side of the bed. I hear her pull open the draw before she rummages through it. After a few seconds, she closes the draw lightly. I keep my face buried in my hands when she sits down on the floor next to me.

"Here." She says, making me look up. I glance down at the glass of water and the two pulls in her palm. Every night I come home drunk, Olivia is awake with two painkillers and a glass of water. She's even awake in the morning with the painkillers and breakfast on ready.

"I'm not drunk." I state. I've got a little bit of alcohol in my body but it's not enough to make me tipsy.

"You look like you're in pain." She says. I take the pills from her palm before I place them in my mouth. "I'll leave two here on the bedside for you....When you wake up with a hangover." She shrugs.

Huh...She's usually gives me the pain killers herself.

"I don't plan on drinking, Olivia." I say. She lets out a sigh and looks away from me.

"Yeah." She mumbles, clearly not believing me one bit before she stands up and turns her back towards me.

"Wait." I say, making her stop in her tracks. "Where's your ring?" I ask. She clears her throat as she tucks her hair behind her ear. Her emerald coloured eyes scan my face for a few second before she drops her gaze down to the floor.

"In my bag." She says before she turns her back towards me and walks away.

"Why?" I ask and hear her let out a long sigh as she stops by the door.

"It's what you want, isn't it?" She shrugs and turns to face me. My eyes follow her every move as she walks towards the chair by her vanity table. She looks through her hand bag before she takes out a big brown envelope, making me stand up.

"What's this?" I ask when she makes her way towards me. She holds the envelope out to me which I don't take.

"Divorce papers." She sniffs and looks up at me, her eyes glossy with tears. "I signed the papers just like you wanted." She says. I stay quiet and when I don't take the papers, she take my hands and wraps it around the heavy envelope.

"Oli-" I start and get cut off.

"I'm staying at a hotel." She says, her voice slightly cracking near the end. She places her hand over her mouth as she shakes her head. "Then i'm moving back to Chicago." She tells me.

"You can stay here-" I start and get cut off.

"No." She shakes her head and wipe's at her tear stained cheeks. "No, this isn't my home anymore....It never was." She says. Olivia wraps her arms around me lightly as she places her head on my chest. I find myself slowly wrapping my arms around her, making her sob on my shoulder a little harder. She quickly pulls away from me and turn's her back towards me. I watch her as she pull's on her coat and picks up her hand bag and her suitcases that I didn't even notice were by the door.

"Olivia, wait." I say quickly just when she's about to walk out. "I don't want...Let's see if we can work this out." I say as I run my fingers through my hair.

"But you sa-" She starts but I cut in.

"Let's get away from here for a couple of days." I say as I make my way towards her.

"You're drunk." She says, making me shake my head.

"England." I say, making her knit her brows together in confusion. "Let's go to London." I say.

"Nic-" She starts but I cut her off.

"Where are our passports?" I ask as I walk way.

"If this is another one of your games that you're playing with me then stop. Because I can't deal-" I hear her say and cut her off.

"It's not a mind game, baby." I say as I walk back towards her and cup her face between my hands. "Let's go to London. You love London." I say before I walk away.

"Nick, you're nor thinking straight." She says. I take my passports from my suitcase before I walk towards her.

"Where's your passport?" I ask.

"In my bag." She sighs, making me nod. "We can't just go London-" She starts, making me cut in again quickly.

"Why not?" I ask. "Olivia, you are my wife. I don't want to let you go without trying to make things work." She opens her mouth to speak but before she can utter a word, I place my lips on hers and cup her face. "Let's go." I say as I grab a tight hold of her hand.

She opens her mouth to speak but I pull her out of our bedroom and towards the front door. I switch off all the lights and take a look around our apartment before I let out a sigh and slam the door shut behind me.

"Let's go Olivia." I smile down at her. She reaches her hand out and strokes my cheek as she smiles up at me.

"Are you sure about this?" She asks.

"I want to work on our marriage and in order to do that I want to get away from our friends and family. I'm sure about this, baby." I say making her smile lightly before I pull her to my side and wrap my arm around her.

"What about Tessa? Aren't you going to tell her that we're-" She says but I talk over her.

"She stopped talking to me a long time ago." I say. "Tessa wouldn't even give a shit if I dropped dead right now." I add.

Tessa's P.O.V:
I slowly open my eyes and look out the car window. The snow is getting heavier and the roads are getting more icey. I sit up in my seat when I realize the hood of the car is wide open, Marshall's not in the drivers seat and I can hear him swearing and shouting.

I wrap my blanket around my body and unclip my seat belt before I open the car door and step out of Marshall's car. I close the door lightly behind me as I look around our surroundings. We were on the highway when I was awake and now we're in the middle of a fucking forest.

"Marshall." I call him as I make my way towards the front of the car. I watch him stand up straight before he turns to face me.

"It's cold, get in the car." He says before he turns away again.

We're still not on talking terms, we got into an argument last night when he arranged for me to see a therapist this weekend. I caught him talking to my therapist at his studio. We got into an argument and still haven't made up. We've hardly said a word to eachother this whole month.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Damn thing is not working, what the fuck do you think is wrong." Marshall huffs. I stay quiet as I watch him slam the hood of the car down before he shakes his head and walks towards the drivers seat. Instead of sitting at the back, I climb into the passangers seat.

"What happens now?" I ask.

"I don't know." He shrugs. I watch him clench and uncleanch his hands. If we were on talking terms, he wouldn't be pushing his anger away like he is right now. "There's no signal." He mumbles when I reach out for my phone. I drop the phone into the cup holder and sink down in my seat.

"So what? We just wait here?" I ask.

"Yep." Marshall lets out a long sigh and sinks down into his seat. "We wait here until Leroy and Paul realise that we're not going to make it to the fucking meeting or until someone drives by and stops." He adds. I look out at the empty road through the window before I let out a sigh.

"I'm guessing not many people take this road. Espically in this weather." I mumble.

"You guessed right. This road is old but it's a short cut to get to Paul's house...No one uses this road anymore. Get comfortable. We're gonna be here for a while." He says, making me sigh.

***

"I tried that already." Marshall says. I ignore him as I walk a little foward with my phone raised up above me. "There's never any signal here." He adds. I hear him open his car door before he gets out and slams it behind him.

"It doesn't hurt to try-" I start and stop talking when I slip on ice and land on my arse. "Ow!" I moan out in pain. I pick up my broken phone and let out a sigh.

"Guess it does hurt." Marshall says in amusement as he makes his way towards me.

"It's not funny." I huff when he stands infront of me.

"I didn't say it was." He shrugs. I look up at him and roll my eyes.

"Help me up, asshole." I say.

"Ouch. You haven't called me that since....Well since the whole S.W.T.B and S.W.M.M thing." He says.

"Marshall." I tut.

"Say please." He smiles down at me.

"You know what? I don't need your help to get up." I say. I place my hand on the floor and push my self up, only for my heels to glide against the ice before I fall back down on the ground.

"You still don't need me help?" Marshall asks.

"Help me up." I sigh. Marshall raises his brow, making me look away. "Please...Can you help me up...Marshall." I add as I look up at him.

"Now that wasn't so hard, was it?" Marshall says as he reaches out for me. I place my hand in his before he pulls me up.

"I'm gonna fall again." I say but Marshall talks over me.

"No you won't." He says. "I've got you baby." He adds when i'm standing on both feet. "I'm right here...." He says under his breath again. Marshall keeps his arm around my waist as we carefully walk down the icey road and towards his car. He walks me over to the passenger's side before he holds the door open for me and helps me get in.

Once he's done, he closes the door and turns his back towards the window. I expect for him to walk towards the drivers seat but instead he just stands there with his head tilted up to the sky a little. I lean foward and look at the sky, there nothing interesting there so why is he looking up?

After a few minutes of him just standing out there in the cold, he makes his way around the car and open's the drivers side door before he climbs in and sits down. He lets out a heavy sigh and turns to face me.

"You okay?" He asks.

"Yeah..I...I'm fine." I shrug as I think back to my little fall. I let out a small laugh, making Marshall look up from his lap before another laugh escapes my lips. Marshall turn around so he's facing me before he raises his brow.

"What's so...Funny?" He asks.

"I'm sorry." I laugh as I cover my mouth with my hand. "I'm sorry...I'm...I was thinking back to what you said there." I say and let out another laugh but this time I can't control it.

"What did I-" He starts but I cut in.

"That I haven't called you an asshole since the whole...The S.W.T.B thing and..." I slowly trail off and lean foward as I laugh when Marshall finishes the sentence off for me.

"And the S.W.M.M thing." He places his hands on his face as he laughs.

"I'm suprised you remember that." I say.

"How the fuck can I forget that?" Marshall says making me laugh a little harder. Our laughter slowly dies down before we both go quiet. I lean back into my seat and clear my throat at the awkwardness.

God I haven't laughed this hard since Chris and Karla's....

I look away from Marshall as I adjust in my seat. I squeeze my eyes shut when Marshall places his hand on my thigh before runs his hand down it and grabs a hold of my hand. He gives my hand a tight squeeze, making me smile lightly.

"I'm sorry." I whisper as I shake my head. "I'm sorry for...Well for being a total bitch to you and ignoring you this whole month." I say and let out a long sigh.

"It's fin-" Marshall starts, making me cut in quickly.

"No." I shake my head and turn to face him fully. "No, it's not fine Marshall. We're married, i'm your wife for fuck sake and i've been ignoring you for what? For doing the right thing?" I huff.

"You think I was doing the right thing by telling you to make amends with Nick?" He asks.

"Yeah." I nod.

"And by talking to a therapist?" He asks.

"Not the therapist thing. About Nick." I say.

"Hmm...Well does that mean you and Nick..." He slowly trails off.

"I'm going to fix things with Nicklaus, yes." I nod. "So?" I sigh. "Am I forgiven?" I ask. Marshall lets out a long sigh and looks up at me as he leans back and lets go of my hand, making me knit my brows together in confusion.

"Come here." He says quietly. I sit up and lean closer to him. Marshall cups my cheek before he places his lips against mine, making me close my eyes before I kiss him back. "You were right yesterday when you said that I don't know what you're going through." Marshall says as he moves back.

"Marshall, about that-" I start and get cut off.

"I don't know what you're going through and I get it...You need space to...Well to figure everything out. I get that." He says, making me smile as I nod. "And i'm here for you. If you ever need to talk...Or...Need a shoulder to cry on. I'm right here for you." He adds.

"Thank you." I say and watch him nod.

"I love you." He whispers as he leans closer to me again.

"I...Love...You to." I say in between our kisses.

Marshall tugs on my hand and before I even know what's happening, i'm trapped between the steering wheel and Marshall's body. He pushes me down on his lap before he moves my hair our of my face and kisses me again. He rubs his hand on thigh before he makes his way up and places his hands under my dress.

"Take this off, baby." He whispers against my lips.

Marshall lowers the zip down to my dress before I sit up and take it off. I dump it on to the passenger's seat before Marshall unclips my bra and tosses it aside. I watch him as he licks his bottom lip as his eyes scan my body before he looks back up at me.

"You okay?" He asks as he places his hand on my waist.

"Yeah." I nod. "Does this mean i'm forgiven?" I ask, making him let out a soft laugh.

"You're more than forgiven." He says as he tucks my hair behind my ear. I place my lips against his and open my mouth to deepen the kiss as I start to undo the belt around his jeans.

***

I let out a moan and turn my head away from for light. I sit up and cover my eyes. Marshall snores lightly as he lays underneath me with his arm still wrapped around my waist.

"Marshall!" I hear the car door bang shut. "Marshall!" Paul calls again.

Fuck!

"Marshall. Get up." I smack him.

"Ow!" He tuts. "Give me five more minutes." He moan as I reach towards the front seat and pick up my dress and underwear before I quickly get dressed.

"Your fucking manager is here!" I say, making him shoot up. I pull on my dress as Marshall pulls his jeans up and reaches out for his shirt.

"What the fuck is he doing here?" Marshall mumbles under his breath.

"Thank god for the tinted windows." I mumble as I fix my hair. Paul knocks on the drivers window as Marshall pulls on his nikes.

"Marshall?" He calls my husband as he taps on the window again. Marshall climbs into the front seat and I pretend to lay down in the back seat.

"About fucking time someone showed up." Marshall says in anger as he rolls his window.

"How we're we supposed to know your car stopped working?" Paul says. "Where's Tessa?" He asks.

"Sleeping in the back." I hear Marshall respond.

"Oh. Well wake her up and get in my car. I phoned someone to pick up yours." He says.

"Alright, we're coming." Marshall says before I hear Paul walk away.

***

I drink from my glass as I look at the millions of pictures hanging on Paul's living room wall. His house isn't as big as ours but it's a nice and cosy place that's away from the bus streets of Detroit and surrounded by tree's. I didn't really expect for him to be living in a place like this.

"Can I top that up for you." I turn around to face Paul's wife, Allison. I look away from her and down at my full glass of red wine.

I'm guessing she just want to start a conversation since Paul, Leroy and Marshall are in a deep conversation.

"No thank you." I smile. She sits down in the couch and gestures for me to sit down next to her.

"How are your children?" She asks. I take a seat next to her and cross one leg over the other.

"They're great, yeah." I shrug lightly as I smile at her. I look away from Allison when I hear Marshall raise his voice a little.

Marshall's P.O.V:
I place my whiskey glass down in anger, making Tessa look up at us as she talks to Paul's wife. Paul clears his throat as he covers Tessa from seeing me.

"No." I repeat for the hundredth time.

"You signed a fucking contract and now you have to stick to it." Leroy hisses.

"Marshall. They're giving you two hundred million dollars." Paul says. I let out a small laugh in disbelief and anger.

"Two hundred million." I repeat.

"Yes." Leroy smiles.

"Wow....That's...That's a lot." I shake my head.

"Do the right thing and take it, Marshall." Paul says.

"Did you offer my wife money too?" I ask as I pick up my whiskey glass.

"Not just yet." He says as I down whiskey. I don't say anything as I refill my glass again.

"But we will when you refuse to take our offer." Leroy adds. I down my whiskey before I grab my jacket, making Tessa stand up quickly.

"What's wrong?" She makes her way towards me and meets me halfway.

"Grab your coat." I say as I place my hand on her waist.

"I thought we were goi-" She starts but gets cut off.

"Marshall. I thought you two were staying for dinner." Allison stands up. I pick up Tessa coat before I stand behind her and help her pull it on.

"Marshall." Paul calls me but I ignore him and grab a hold of Tessa's hand before we walk out into the hallway and towards the front door. I pull the door open as our managers follow us out.

"They're still fixing your car, Marshall. It's gonna take at least twenty more minutes. Just come and wait inside." Paul says. I watch the mechanics work on my car as we stand a few feet away from it.

"Calm down, baby. Calm down." Tessa whispers to me as she rubs her thumbs across the back of my hand. I stay quiet and a few minutes later, the mechanics finally finish on my car. I pay them and quickly get into my car before we drive away and this time I take the highway just incase our car breaks down again.

"You okay?' Tessa asks quietly. I stay quiet for a couple of long seconds before I let out a long sigh and nod slowly.

"Yeah. I'm fine." I say, making her look away from me and out the window.
