This chapter will be better experienced if you read again because things will seem cleaner and hopefully make more sense. There will definitely be a pt. 3 and maybe a pt. 4. I don't blame you if you get confused. It will all be clear when I wrap this series up.

Third Person POV:
I.
"Miss y/l/n, Please come out."
Professor Dumbledore motions behind the Professors' table to a small door and a girl with her hood up on her uniform comes out. She takes off her hood and down her head shyly, looking at the ground. She's thin and her skin looks paler than it could be like she is unwell.
"Now, I must inform you that our newest addition has been homeschooled for a long time due to personal reasons and multiple medical conditions that her family do not wish to share the details of," Dumbledore says. She awkwardly stands there as she listens to people whisper about her. Sensing her embarrassment, Dumbledore ushers her to the Slytherin table near her fellow fifth years. People up and down the table tilt their heads in to get a glimpse of her and she avoids eye contact with each and every one of them.
"Ummm, hey?" someone says from across y/n. She looks up with her tired eyes to the person. He brushes his blonde hair out of his face and holds out his hand. "My name is Draco Malfoy, y/n. It's nice to meet you."
Shakily, she nods and reaches out to him across the table and takes his hand. He feels how weak her grip is. It's frail like an old man's but delicate like a rose's petal. He lifts his other hand to hold her singular one up and he smiles warmly across the table.
"It's a pleasure, Malfoy" she whispers with a hushed voice.
"Please, call me Draco," he says.
"B-but isn't that too infor-"
"Nope. Don't worry about it!" he replies, cutting her off.
Dumbledore from the head of the Hall waves his arms and the food appears in front of all the students. All the students but y/n reach for the food.
"You can go ahead, y/n," Draco says, gesturing for her to take some. She reaches out and takes a singular piece of bread, tearing it in half and setting one of them down on her plate. She slowly brings it to her mouth and takes one of the smallest bites of it Draco's ever seen. "You can eat more than that, y/n," he says, concerned that she hasn't eaten much, but she shakes her head no. He nods hesitantly again, taking a bit of his own plate of food.
"Why are you doing this?" she asks suddenly and he looks up in response.
"Doing what, y/n?" he asks kindly.
"Why are you talking to me?" she says slowly.
"I want to get to know you."
"Why?"
"Because you seem like a nice person."
She blushes and smiles down at her plate.
"Thank you," she says in the same hushed voice.
"Of course, y/n."

Much time has passed since y/n arrived at Hogwarts. She for the first few months of being here, she rode a broomstick to her classes because she was too weak to walk up all of the stars due to her medical condition, but eventually, she gained enough strength to walk with Draco on her arm, much to Pany Parkinson's dismay and agitation. Since arriving here, y/n didn't have many friends. The person who she had was Draco Malfoy and he satisfied her. She didn't need any more friends on top of him. He was comforting and kind to her. They would spend almost every waking hour in each other's company. Draco Malfoy made her laugh and smile more than she had in years. A few weeks after she began to walk regularly, Draco asked her out and she happily accepted. From that point on, they were known as one of the best power couples in all of Hogwarts. Everyone liked them together. As more time went by, Draco encouraged y/n to be stronger physically and emotionally. She stopped being shy and reserved and her true personality blossomed.
"Come on, y/n!" Draco cheers. "You've got this, babe, I know it!"
Y/n looks up to her boyfriend who is cheering her on from the top of the stairs. She lifts her feet up one by one on the metal steps towards Draco. She holds onto the handrailing and pushes forward, pulling her body upwards to the top of the stairs. Once near the top, Draco grabs her hands and holds her hands as she finishes the last step. She cries joyfully and hugs Draco.
"I knew you could do it, y/n. You made it up to the Astronomy Tower without me!" Draco gasps happily. "I'm so proud of you, babe."
She wraps her arms around his neck and snuggles into his chest and grins.
"Thank you for encouraging me, Draco. I don't think I could have made that much progress without you. Thanks for supporting me," she whispers.
"Of course, babe. I'll do anything for you. Anything in the world," he says. "Come on, let's get to dinner."
They both head down the stairs together, arms linked. They enter the Great Hall and people are yelling or murmuring to each other.
"What's going on?" she asks Draco. He shakes his head.
"Have you seen Susan Bones?!" some Hufflepuff shouts.
"Draco... Has something happened?" she asks, tugging on his sleeve.
"I have an idea, y/n" Draco says, rushing down the hall. Y/n follows him, desperately trying to keep up with his fast pace. he round the corner, unaware she's following him and enters the library. He crosses the library to the corner and waves his hand. Y/n watches as a patch of light bursts from the stone slabs and he enters it and leans over on the bookcase to catch her breath, looking at the spot where Draco left. She waits for many minutes in suspense, her heart pounding. Where has he gone? What is he doing? What is going on? Why is he doing this?
Minutes later, there is another flash of light and Draco emerges with Susan Bones in his arms. He stops in his tracks when he sees you, but sighs.
"You were bound to find out eventually, y/n. Come with me, love. I'll explain everything on the walk to the Hospital Wing."
Y/n nods and follows him out of the library.
"I am not normal, y/n. I am what is known to few as an Oracle. My female counterpart is an Enchantress. We are types of wizards and witches who have additional powers and a mission in life. What I just fought is a monster of this world. They spawn despair and swallow hope. They take lives. They are the true evil of this world. My job is to defend people from them and their effects. That is what I am to do at Hogwarts during my time here, then I will go and fight them in the real world."
"Isn't it dangerous, Draco?"
"Yes, it is, y/n. I risk my life each time I fight them, but I do it to protect the people I care about. I do it to protect... you," he says shakily. They reach the infirmary and Draco sets Susan on a bed and leaves her to Madam Pomfrey. "I must tell you, y/n. In a few days, a horrible one will come. One of the strongest yet. I will have to fight it and the school will be in terrible danger then and I cannot turn away from my duty. It would violate my Promise. Each one of us Oracles and Enchantresses make Promises. If we violate them, we die."
"But why would you want to do that?!" y/n cries, grabbing onto Draco's collar.
"Because. We get a miracle granted for us by those who we Promise and we get our powers," Draco explains.
"So you get something out of it...?"
"Yes, but we accept the fate of an endless battle until the day we die unless we fulfil our Promise. In each Promise made, there is a way for us to be released from this fate of fighting and be protected by those who we Promised, but it is almost impossible to meet so people do to try to fulfil that area of the Promise. It is simply a waste of time."
Y/n nods and takes his hand.
"You said a particularly nasty one was coming right? Do you have anyone to help you with fighting it?"
"Yes, y/n. Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini are both Oracles. They will fight it with me."
"You'll beat it, right?" she says hopefully, pulling him into a hug.
"I will, y/n. For us."

The thunder continues to rumble just as it did when the creature arrived. Y/n is on her knees, propping herself up with her arm, tears spilling from her eyes, looking down at the dead bodies of Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini.
"I must be going now, y/n," Draco says softly.
"N-No!" she cries. "T-That thing killed Nott and Zabini! Y-You can't Draco! Please!"
"It did, y/n. I must fight it though," Draco says solemnly. "I cannot defy my Promise. Not even in the name of love and life."
"It's too powerful! We could just run away!" she wails, but he shakes his head.
"I cannot, y/n. I must protect everyone," Draco says. "I have to be strong."
"NO! IT'LL KILL YOU, TOO!" she gasps, shaking, her breath uneven and choppy.
"I have to go, y/n... I'm sorry," Draco sighs.
"W-Wait!" she gasps. He doesn't turn around, trying to suppress the tears of grief himself. He knows that if he turns around he won't be able to go on.
"It's my job. I am an Oracle, y/n. I have to," he says, pain dripping from his voice. "I love you."
He swings his weight forward and dives into the pit of madness to face the monster.
"DRACO!" she yells loudly as she watches her boyfriend disappear into battle.

Y/n stirs lightly and lifts her head up from the rubble. She had been knocked out during the battle. She looks around. It's raining and there's nothing but rubble. She calls out.
"H-Hello?"
No answer. She gets up and starts to walk forward and finally realises what she's looking at. Students everywhere. Dead. She looks to her left. Not even Dumbledore stood a chance. Panick rushes through her bloodstream and she starts running.
"Draco! Draco!" she calls into the sea of lost hope and despair. She rushes forward through the rubble and over the faces of people she once knew. Over a patch of stones, she sees a blonde head of hair and she rushes over, her emotions coming all to a halt as she looks at the face. It's Draco. There are nasty cuts all over his body and his head has been bleeding. She reaches down to his arm. It's ice cold.
"Draco!" she yells, feeling the hope and happiness drain from her heart as she looks down at her boyfriend. She lifts the shell of his body up and holds it close. "You knew you were going to get killed all along... Wh did you do it? How can I live now when you're not with me? How?! What am I supposed to do?! I want you back! What can I do if you're not alive? How can I go on from today and know that I'm the only one still living?! I would do anything to bring you back!"
"Is that what you want y/n y/l/n?" a voice asks from above. You let go of Draco and he drops to the ground by your side.
"Who is there?" you call out.
"It is none of your concern. Tell me. What would you do to bring Draco Malfoy back?"
"Anything," she responds. The voice chuckles.
"Then, would you be willing to make a Promise with us? Would you do that, y/n y/l/n? Would you Promise to fight these monsters to have him again? Do you want it badly enough?" it says.
"Yes! I would do anything to see him again! I would do anything to have him by my side!"
"If that is true, I can help you get what you desire. I can give you Draco Malfoy. Just Promise."
"If I Promise, will I get what I want? Will you really grant me that?"
"We have the capability to, y/n y/l/n. So yes. You have plenty of potential to be an Enchantress. What do you want that you would trade your life's destiny for?"
Y/n gets up shakily.
"I-I wish for the ability to redo my meeting Draco again. I want to go back in time. I want a do-over. I want to save Draco this time."
There is a large whooshing sound and y/n feels a stinging pain in her stomach and she hunches over in discomfort and cries out.
"The Promise has been made. Y/n y/l/n, your powers have been granted and you now have the ability to travel through and pause time. Your Release of Promise will only happen if you manage to save every person at Hogwarts from the attack of the monster who killed your lover. Now, go forth and accept your fate."
