2 Weeks Later
"Nervous?"
Fergal asked as he placed a hand on my knee and continued to drive with the other.
"A bit."
I said with a sigh. Today we were finding out the gender of the baby and I was kinda nervous. Fergal had a great idea to only have me find out the gender of the baby and in a couple weeks when my bump is a bit bigger, him, the kids, and our friends will put blue and pink ribbons on my bump and then I will reveal the gender.
"Don't be, love. Everything is gonna be alright and you'll get to know the gender of the baby."
"I know. I just have nerves. You never know what could go wrong with our lives."
I said with a sigh.
"Don't worry. We're gonna have a beautiful, healthy, baby boy."
Fergal said. I laughed at the way he said "baby boy" really fast.
"Well at least I know what team you're on."
I said with a laugh.
"I'm on Team Healthy Baby Devitt."
Fergal said as he kissed me.
"Me too."
I said with a smile.
Later That Day
I smiled at Fergal as the nurse put the gel on my bump.
"Are you ready, love?"
Fergal asked.
"I'm so, so ready."
I said as I looked at the monitor. I smiled as the baby appeared on the screen.
"He is so precious."
Fergal whispered in my ear.
"Stop saying he! What if it's a girl?"
I asked Fergal.
"Then she is so precious."
He said with a smile. The doctor whispered the gender in my ear as I smiled. A healthy, baby....
