"Guys!"
"Who is that?" I yell.
"The witch, its real!" Rome shouts.
A beam of light blinds us then lowers and we see a glimpse.
"The undead are attacking!" Ming shouts.
"Guys, it's a mask." It's Park. "Serious you lot"
"Why's it green?" Monty yells.
"It's seaweed." Park shouts. "The powers out, I think it's the whole building."
"Did we incur the wrath of the witch?" Rome and Elephant are holding hands looking around.
"Chill guys it's a film." P'Forth says looking out of the window. "I think it might be an area circuit, other building lights and the street ones are off too.
"How does Park have light?"
"He knows magic?"
"Your phones." He sighs
We all grab our mobiles and use the light app. P'Forth and Park decided to head down and see if they can find the maintenance guy that's usually around, we wait in my room. Using the phones makes everything look creepy.
"Don't cry Yo, I'm right here." Ming tells me holding my hand.
"You're more scared then me." I say.
"No way shitty Yo, you cried watching Beetle Juice."
"That guy was creepy as hell." I defend.
When they don't come back I call P'Forth, but I can't get through. Chicken, Elephant and Ming's phones have low battery, they stop using them, my chargers are still charging, dam it.
"We should check." I say. "I'll go with Ming."
"Yo! That is the classic mistake." Monty trembles.
"Splitting up is how you die!" Crow ads.
We all go together, using Monty's phone light saving the rest, as we head towards the steps we hear a noise behind us. We look back; there is a person all in white, with long black hair, when she begins to come towards us, Monty's light flickers and turn's off.
We all scream and run down the stairs to the second floor.
"It's the witch...." Rome murmurs.
"It's Sadako." Monty says in a panic.
"I never saw that." I tell him.
"I saw it Yo. There was a forbidden tape, I watched it." Monty whispers. "I think it's finally coming for me."
"Wasn't that tape porn?" Crows asks.
The building lights flicker a few times, and then it's all dark again. Its eerie and cold, the shadows have shadows.
"What's happening?" Ming move's closer to me.
"I want P'Bright." Rome's says dialing "...Guys there's no signal."
We all panic and call people, nothing, we get a tone then it stops.
"There is a logical explanation for this right?" I say
"The hell mouth has opened." Crow whispers.
"I'm not watching any scary films again." I whimper.
We all go silent as we hear music, its low and spine-chilling, like from an old gramophone, we hear a noise, I turn on my light, and everyone jumps behind me...you cowards!
Figures slowly come into the light, we see an arm dripping with black goo, we all scream again.
"Guys it's us." P'Forth shouts.
"Is that slime?" Elephant whispers.
"Its engine oil, the guys not in his basement office, it fell on me."
"Why would someone have engine oil in their room?"
"Basement? This place has a basement?"
"Any place with a basement means torture and death..."
"Why have a room in a building with a basement Yo? why?" Monty asks pulling on my arm.
"Can we get out?" I ask, shrugging him off.
"No, the main doors are electronic; they locked with the power cut."
"Oh god... this is like that movie, we have to eat rats..."
"P'Bright...the witch is coming, I'm scared." Rome whispers into his phone.
"There working." Ming yells
We all panic dialing people again.
"P'Din Sadako is after us..."
"P'Kit help, P'Forth's been attacked and we're locked in Yo's place...
"P'Pha there is creepy music..."
"Beam I'm telling you there is something weird..."
"Mum, I love you..."
We all go quite as the music begins again; I point my light slowly towards the top of the stairs, when I see movement. The figure in white is back, she moves towards us... then drops and begins to slither down the stairs. We all scream and run to the first floor.
"That's a ghost!" P'Forth says panicked.
"It's Sadako." Ming's is chanting.
"Why did I watch that film...why...whyyy" Monty's rocking in place, asking why.
We try the main doors, they lock this time of night and you need the code. There is no one in the maintenance office, there is no main landline and our phones have no signal.
The lights flicker and stay on, we breathe a sigh of relief, then they turn off again. We make our way back towards the main doors, P'Forth and Park try forcing them but they don't move. They are half glass maybe we should break it and go through?
The music begins to play, our eyes are a little accustomed to the dark now, we see movement near the stairs, we huddle together, watching, knowing what's following us.
"If P'Kit finds someone else I will possess them, P'Kit's mine!" Ming says clutching my shoulders.
"I hate ghosts, I hate ghosts..." P'Forth chants holding my hand.
"I want to see P'Bright." Rome whines hugging Elephant and Monty
"I wanted to get laid a lot more before the end." Monty sighs.
"Guys seriously." Park says, as the twins grab his arms on either side.
My hands shake as I slowly move the light; it's her again, now she's shaking her head, pointing her hand towards us as she slowly comes down the stairs.
"Yo!"
I turn, its P'Pha on the other side of the door the doctors are with him, we yell for help, when we look back she's getting closer. We hear a car squeak to a stop and P'Bright jumps out, he joins them on the outside.
We all watch in horror as the figure stops on the last step and looks at us, the white face, and the shinning eyes, we all scream again.
The lights flicker on, the doors open we all run out. P'Pha hugs me, I was scared. "I hate scary movies."
"P'Kit, even if it got me I would come back to you!" Ming's telling p hugging him, who's blushing, calling him an idiot.
"Beam there is a ghost in there." P'Forth tells P'Beam, who's asking how drunk is he.
"You guys should never watch horror movies." Park shouts.
"Thank god we lived; I have so many hot guys to meet." Monty sighs.
P'Bright's hugging Rome telling him it's okay.
"Ummm....hello?"
I latch onto P'Pha more. "Its Sadako..." We all cry.
"That's rude, what did I do?" Sadako says putting her hands on her hips.
We look properly it's a girl...with long dark hair ...in a white nightdress with a teddy on the front...
"Why the hell is your face white?" Monty shouts
"It's a mask." She says, removing it. "The lights went out just as I put it on, its expensive I didn't want to waste it."
"Is it mask night?"
"Did someone forget to tell us?"
"Why scare us?" Rome asks
"I heard voices, the lights went out I came to look for people." She answers.
"Why did you slither down the stairs?" I ask
"I was coming to talk to you; I tripped on my dress..."
"What about the creepy music?" Elephant asks
"The gramophone? That guy on the second floor is a music student he plays it often." She tells us. "Guys, drugs are bad for you."
She goes back mumbling about moving. Everyone goes home; they all had enough excitement for one night.
I hug P'Pha, I can't sleep.
"If you don't stop hugging me and moving around, don't blame me Yo." He says in the dark.
But when I hear a creepy whistling sound, I hug him tighter.
"I'm never watching horror films again." I tell my gang at lunch.
"They are evil." Rome ads.
We both yawn as we talk about working in the library this afternoon.
"I think P'Pha and P'Bright might not agree."
"I bet they had fun."
"How clingy were you guys?" Monty smirks.
My ears are red, Rome's blushing, and they all laugh. You bastards!
"Yo!"
I turn to look who screamed my name. He come's running, jumps on the seat, then into my lap, and hugs me.
"Yo, I missed you." Godt says smiling. "I rand away to see you."
