A large, hot pink-clad, toad-like woman shuffles through the halls, her wand and a new message from the minister of magic in her hands. Students scatter into classrooms and down halls as she approaches a group of Slytherin students, all of them with a gleaming silver "I" on their robes. They all turn around to face her when she clears her throat with an annoying, girly cough, raising her stubby fist over her mouth to announce her presence.
"Just who I was looking for!" she declares, her voice dripping with false sweetness. "I just got a new order from the minister! It says for us to start patrolling the campus at all hours and..."
She pauses and looks at the attentive Slytherins. Eyeing them closely, she performs a headcount. One short.
"Where is Malfoy?" she irritatedly asks, crossing her short pudgy arms, tapping her magenta flats on the dust-coloured floor of the castle. The students look at each other murmuring quietly. Pansy Parkinson pushes her way to the front of the pack, whacking Crabbe in the face with her hand. He grunts loudly in pain and she shoots him a deadly glare. After composing herself, she turns to Umbridge.
"Professor, the last time I saw him he was heading towards that idiot Hagrid's hut with his school bags. He seemed on edge... like he didn't want to be followed. He disappeared into the forest. I was on my patrol duty and could not follow him because you said to specifically stay in my sector of Hogwarts and nowhere else," Pansy says, proudly contributing her information to Umbridge whose evident anger seems to be boiling.
"He should be here! He is one of the most vital members of the Inquisitorial Squad! He should be nowhere near that forest. His post is specifically the west wing and the Great Hall! All of you! Patrol the grounds and take any rule breakers to my office for questioning!" Umbridge huffs, turning on her heel sharply and shuffling as fast as she can on her short, little legs. The Inquisitorial Squad nods and they all split and scatter all over the grounds. Umbridge continues down the hill in the direction of Hagrid's hut, kicking pebbles and stones down the hill. She stops at the edge of the forest and draws her wand out nervously. Umbridge had always loathed this forest, even when she was at Hogwarts and she hated what was inside even more: half-breeds. Shaking she enters the forest, listening to the cries and howls of the life she has so willingly suppressed all year.

"What's the potion that can transform someone into another person?" Draco asks, looking down at his lap where his potions book sits. Draco promised that he's come and quiz you about potions. You didn't go to school. When your dad banished you, he forbade you from attending any sort of school. Draco enjoyed teaching you what he was learning in school and you always bonded over it. He would come by every day and catch you up on what was happening just up the hill inside the massive castle. Today you were sitting in your favourite clearing in the forest. The sun beams down gently between the towering trees above and the wind from above sweeps softly through the light, green grass below your feet.
"Ummm... the Polyjuice Potion?" you ask, getting up and stretching your arms up above your head, and extending your wings out all the way beside you.
"Right!" he says, smiling. "You've been getting good at this, y/n. I'm impressed."
You return his smile kindly and bend your knees, kicking up off the ground and flying to the centre of the field. You turn back to him and stare at him sitting under the and oak tree, surrounded by school books and scrolls.
"Babe... that's not fair. I can't fly and you're all the way over there," he laughs standing up carefully and walking over to you.
"Fine," you sigh playfully and lower yourself to hover directly in front of him, floating above the ground a few inches. He reaches out and carefully wraps his hands around yours.
"Come here, love," he says softly. You push yourself closer to him and he wraps his hands around your waist. Now, there's hardly any space in between you two. He rests his forehead on yours as he pulls you down from the air. "Kiss me please, babe."
You smile at him and oblige, pressing your lips to his. They're soft and a little cold like always. He takes his hand to your cheek and gently strokes your soft skin. He pulls you back to the ground and leads you over to the oak tree again, your slips still locked together. He lovingly pressed you up against the tree, careful not to damage your wings. His lips attack your neck, placing loving, sucking kisses on your skin. You wrap your hands around his neck and tug gently at his hair, smiling and giggling quietly. He flips you over and sinks down to the base of the tree, allowing you to straddle him, continuing playfully.

Clumsily, Dolores Umbridge stumbles through the forest, jerkily turning her head back and forth frantically, hyper-aware of her surroundings. She whips around, hearing a rustle coming from her left. Raising her wand, she inches cautiously towards the source of the trees. Giggles and the flap of wings echo through the trees. She stops at the edge of a clearing and tilts her head, taking a peek past the tree she hides behind. She watches as a pair of dark brown wings flap steadily. She watches as you, the owner of the wings, pin a tall, blonde haired boy against a tree, laughing softly as she does so. Umbridge's blood begins to heat.
"FILTHY HALF BREED!" she screeches, bursting out of the forest, pointing her wand at the winged girl. She flicks her wand and sends a spell careening forward. Quickly, the boy shoves her aside and the spell hits the tree with a loud snapping sound, leaving a charred burn mark on the tree trunk. "Get away from my student!"
She flicks her wand and a spell hits one of your wings. You gasp in pain as you feel some of your feathers fall out. You look up at your wing. You see the sensitive skin of your wing become red and inflamed. You can hear it hissing and a tear slowly falls down your cheek.
"Incarcerous!" Umbridge screams. A rope flies out of her wand and wraps around your body. Your wings crush into your body, nearly breaking. The rope snakes its way around your neck and chest, restricting your breathing. You gasp in pain, your senses completely overwhelmed and your vision becomes blurry. In the background, you hear Draco yelling and dropping by your side as the rope tangles further around you. You hear Umbridge's heavy breathing of anger and utterly evil satisfaction.
"Please stop!" Draco gasps, turning to Umbridge, almost crying himself. She shakes her head.
"How can you defend this filthy halfbreed?!" she shouts at him. "This creature is nothing but scum! It doesn't deserve your sympathy or your time!"
His blood boiling with anger and rage, Draco pulls out his wand.
"Stupefy!" he shouts, pointing his wand at Umbridge. A bolt of red light exits the tip of his wand and hits Umbridge squarely in the chest, sending her falling backwards. Her concentration broken, Draco scrambles up and untangles you, careful not to harm you further. He takes you by your hands, pulling you up into his chest. Umbridge shakily sits up, covered in dust and grime, grass and sticks sticking out of her hair product-filled hair.
"Mister Malfoy!" she screeches. "How dare you attack a professor! As Hogwarts High Inquisitor I demand that you-"
"No!" Draco shouts back at her, hugging you protectively, his wand still drawn. "I will not do anything you request of me!"
"This is unacceptable, Mister Malfoy!"
"No! What you're doing in unacceptable! You have no right to treat people like y/n like this! She's is just as human as you or I. Just because she has wings, doesn't mean she can be deprived of what she deserves. She deserves to be treated as an equal, not like garbage! She's far from it!" Draco exclaims. "This is wrong! All you have been doing all year is suppressing everyone who is the slightest bit different. All the people who are not just like you! The centaurs, y/n... everyone! Even people at Hogwarts! This is not ethically right! I will personally see to it that you never hurt y/n or any of the living beings you wrongly deem lesser than you!"
"This is lunacy! These creatures in here are worthless! They are nothing compared to wizards like us! They're nothing but scum!" Umbridge says shakily, her face now an irritated red. Her fingers are clenched into tight fists at her sides.
"You've got it all wrong, Umbridge. Y/n is much more than you'll ever be! If you harm her ever again, you'll have to face me and I will not hesitate for a moment. Nobody can come near my y/n because I love her! I will do anything for her and that includes coming after anyone who does her wrong! You -"
"No! " Umbridge wails loudly, interrupting Draco. "STOP THIS! ENOUGH! I. WILL. HAVE. ORDER!"
You gently break out of Draco's grasp and gently kick up off the ground and into the air, hovering over Umbridge. She raises her wand again, shaking this time. She opens her mouth again to cast a curse, but you beat your wings forcefully, creating a wave of air that hurdles towards Umbridge. She topples back over. You pin her to the ground with the sheer force of your wings as she cowers in fear, trying to crawl away. You stop and drop gently to the ground in front of her, watching as Umbridge gasps for air.
"Leave," you say calmly. "I don't ever want to see you here ever again. If you do decide to return, I'll be sure to make sure you regret it. Now... go. Before I do much worse."
Umbridge gaps and stands up, running out of the clearing and into the forest gasping and shrieking.
You turn to Draco. He smiles at you warmly. She rushes forward and takes you by your waist pulling you in for a passionate kiss. Your lips break apart and he holds you close.
"You were fantastic, y/n," he whispers to you. "You really showed your true colours... I like it."
"Thanks, Draco..." you reply "Did you really mean everything you said?"
"Of course, y/n. You're my everything. I'd do anything for you... Be sure of that, babe."
