"What?" I shout. "What the hell do you mean they aren't here?" I shout again.
"They didn't come back from school. I've been trying to call you but it's going straight to voicemail. I called Niall but he's not picking up." She says sadly.
My heart is beating out of my chest and i feel like my life is falling apart. My kids! Niall! I asked him to pick up the kids. Where is he? And where are my kids? I try to call him but he doesn't pick up. Oh god. I fall to the floor and place my head in my hands. I hope they are okay. What if they are still at the school waiting for me to pick them up. I stand up and take my keys from the table.
"Madison? what are we going to do?" Maura asks.
"I'll go out and search for them." I say and head towards the main door.
"I'll come with you." Bob says.
"No-" I am cut of laughter filling the room and i see three figures enter. My heart and brain breathes a sigh of relief. I see Emma and Evan laughing with Niall and they all have Ice cream in their hands.
"Mommy!" Emma and Evan squeal. I kneel in front of them and wrap my arms around them and hug them close to me. I continue to hug them for few more minutes.
"Hey, Kiddos." I pull Away from them. "Go change. I'll make mac and cheese." I smile.
"We had our dinner mommy. Daddy and us went to a big restaurant." Emma says and opens her arms widely. I nod my head and ask them to change their dresses. They both climb up the stairs with a big smile on their faces and I smile a little. I stand up from the ground and look at Niall who is smiling at me. I walk a little closer to him and his smile widens. I slap him hard across his face and I hear Maura's gasp.
"What the fuck, Madison?" He glares at me and rubs his cheek to ease the pain.
"What the hell do you think of yourself? You think that you can take my Kids anywhere you want without taking my permission? You think you can keep them out up till this late? Tell me!" I scream at him. "We all have been so worried and you don't even have the courtesy to pick up your damn cell! Didn't you at least feel like you have to inform their mother?" I scream again.
"Madison, calm down." Bob says placing his hand on my shoulder.
"How can I calm down? This-" I am cut off by Niall.
"They are my kids too. I can take them wherever I want and whenever I want." He snaps at me and I scoff.
"They are not legally yours." I snap back. "After all these years you come back and claim them as yours! And I am saying this for the last time, Niall. They are my kids and you have to let me know everything about them." I walk out of the house, slamming the door and head to my car. I need some air.
Niall's POV
I hear the door slam and few minutes later the roar of the engine. She's going somewhere. Mom sobs into her hands and walks upstairs leaving me and dad alone. Dad looks at me and sighs.
"What the hell is happening Niall? Wha-" He starts but I interrupt him.
"I don't want to talk right now." I sighs and make my way to the room upstairs.
I know I should have told her that I was taking the kids out for dinner but I thought she would be busy making things better between Liam and her. I didn't want to disturb her and all I wanted to do was spend some time with my kids.
It's been an hour and I couldn't sleep. I put the kids to bed since Madison is out and I don't know where she is. I am trying again and again to reach her cell but it's going straight to the voicemail. I can't think of places she can be in so I am just trying to reach her.
It's past midnight now and I can't get hold of Madison. And I am starting to get worried. What If something happened to her? No! No! Everything is fine . She will be fine.
My phone rings interrupting my thoughts and I look at the caller ID and it says Paul. I answer the call.
"Paul." I greet him.
"Sir, Miss. Tomlinson is currently at a park in Wall Street. She's been here for about two hours. We don't have any information about where she was earlier." He says. I sigh in relief. Thank god she's okay.
"Okay. Keep an eye on her. I will be there in a few." I say.
"Sir." He ends the call and I collect my keys and coat make my way downstairs. Mom and dad are sitting on the couch and talking quietly. Mom stands up when she notices.
"Niall, Madison-" She starts.
"I know, mom. I am going to get her." I say and she sighs In Relief. She smiles at me and pats my cheek lightly. I nod at her and walk out of the house.
Madison's POV
(A/n: Sorry for so many POV changes.)
I stare at the beautiful blue lake in front of me as so many things run in my mind.
I feel guilty for slapping Niall today because all he wanted to do was spend time with the kids. He wanted to get to know them. And me? I slapped him for doing that. That was so stupid of me. But, he shouldn't have taken my kids away without informing me. I was so fucking worried and it nearly gave me a heart attack. I sigh heavily and look up to the sky. The stars tinkle and the moon is bright and full. It is such a beautiful view. It reminds me of the days when me and Niall would do star gazing. Laying on the ground, arms and legs tangled, next to each other and very happy.
flashback
"The dinner was so good baby. You cook so well." Niall said kissing my cheek and making me blush.
"Thank you." My cheeks turned red and niall chuckled softly.
"come on, let's go out into the garden." He took my hand in his large and warm ones and lead me out of the back door and into the big back garden. He sat down on the ground and pulled me to him and made me sit in between his legs as his arms wrapped around me and pulling me to his chest. I sighed happily and looked up to the sky. I feel his breath on my neck and then his soft lips. He left soft kisses from neck to the back of ear making me shiver slightly. He always had this kind of effect on me. He continued kissing me until a soft moan left my mouth.
"Niall..." I moaned softly and he chuckled at my reaction. "I thought we are here for star gazing." I tease.
"Do you really think i would be able to control myself with such a beautiful woman in my arms?" He says, frustrated more like he's whining. I burst into laughter at his comment and continued to laugh. My laughter dies and I look at Niall to see him looking at me with a smile on his lips and love in his eyes. I smile back at him.
"What?" I ask, still smiling and he shakes his head.
"I love you. So much." He says and kisses the top of my head, making my heart flutter.
"I love you, too." I kiss his cheek and he groans before standing up and lifting me in his arms. He carried me through the doors and stairs and into our bedroom upstairs. I ignore all the stares that we get from the maids and men as Niall carries me in his arms.
When we reached our bedroom, Niall kicked the door open and walked inside. He kicked the door once again making it shut and made his way towards the bed. All this time all I was doing was looking at beautiful husband. He threw me on the bed and unbuckled his pants, then jumping on top of me. His lips found mine and in seconds we both were naked. And you can guess what happened next.
Present
A smile made its way to my lips at the memory. All the love making, all the I love you's we told each other and above all these happiness. I was very happy, we were happy. Tears form in my eyes as memories of us being happy together comes into my mind. What happened to us? I wish things never changed between us and we stayed happy.
I play the scenario in my mind. Us being together, Me telling him I was pregnant and we both cry in happiness together. The way he would have taken care of me, fulling all my pregnancy cravings and just loving me like he used to. Him being there during the time of labor holding my hand and helping me in delivering our kids. But, nothing like that happened. Everything was so different than in my imagination. I used to stay awake all the night hoping he would return and apologize. I used sit alone near the window of my room waiting for him. I rarely had cravings, if I did Liam or Louis would get them for me. Liam and mom held my hands during my labor. Till that moment i hoped he would come and apologize, but after my kids came into the world, I never waited anymore. I lost hope. And now, after all these years, he came back.
I look at my watch and realize that it's past midnight and I have to head home, though i don't want to. I need some rest and sleep. I stand up from my place near the tree and dust the sand of off my jeans and head towards my car. I walk around the park and out of the gate. One moment I was crossing the road and the next moment, a car was speeding towards me.
"Madison!" I hear my name being called before everything goes black.
