Nick's P.O.V:
I pull on my shirt quickly before I pull up my sweats and grab my nikes as I rush out at the bedroom to find my wife walking towards the door as she zips up her jacket.
"Olivia. Wait baby." I say as I reach for my keys.
"Nick. I'm late." She states as she walks towards me and kisses me before she rushes back towards the door. "I'll see you tonight. I really can't bother to cook so we'll just order pizza." She adds.
"Let me drop you off to work." I say as I grab my car keys.
"I can walk it." She rolls her eyes. "It's only fifteen minutes away." She adds, making me shake my head as I walk past her and pull open the door for her.
There is no way i'm letting her go out on her own.
"I'll take you." I state as she walks past me before I close the door behind us. I wrap my hand around hers and walk towards the elevator.
"I go walking or drive myself to work all the time." She tells me, making me sigh. Why can't she just let me take her to work without asking questions.
"I know." I say as the elevator takes us down.
"So why do you want to drive me to work today?" She asks."You haven't before. In fact, you have never taken me to work once." She adds.
"I just want to take you today." I shrug as I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her next to me. "You look beautiful today." I tell her.
Maybe that will stop her from asking all these questions.
"Okay. Somethings up." She says before she pushes me away.
"Nothing is up." I shrug.
"Nicklaus." She tuts as the elevator doors slide open, revealing the busy lobby that's full off people who are getting ready to leave their home to get to school or work.
"Baby, I just want to drive you. We never spend time together." I state.
"And the only reason you're dropping me off to work is because we don't get to spend time together?" She says as she raises her brow.
"Yes." I nod.
No.
"Come on then. I'm going to be late." She says and lets out a sigh before she wraps her arm around me before we walk towards the glass doors and towards my car.
I lied. I'm a lawyer, I lie all the damn time! Being a lawyer actually helps you improve on lying and making people think that you're not lying when you are.
Yeah...That's something to be proud of Nick!
But this time I lied for a good reason. I want to protect my wife, who I wish wasn't my wife but right now I don't care since we don't see eachother much anyway. We're both always busy with work.
The reason i'm driving her to work and not laying in bed with a nice cup of coffee in this freezing weather is because I want to protect her and stop her from being a target.
If I do anything against the contract, which I am going to do, and if Leroy and Paul find out then they will hurt my wife first to teach me a lesson before they hurt me.
Another reason why I need to sort out the divorce papers.

I park my car and kill of the engine before I throw my head back and let out a sigh. I haven't felt relaxed and at peace for what feels like years. I come to Marshall's place everyday just to check up on them.
It's been two weeks since they come back from their honeymoon. Tessa was really upset and looked beyond terrified when I saw her. I stayed at the house for a couple of days until she was calmer.
"Another day in hell." I say to myself as I pull out my car keys before I open the door and step out of my car. After locking my car, I walk towards the front door and past Leroy's and Pauls cars.
If only I had a baseball bat on me so I can smash and break their precious cars.
"That would make my day a whole lot better." I mumble as I jog up the stairs. I push down the handle and open the door before I step into the foyer, only to be greeted by the sound of Tessa and Marshall's shouting.
Well shit.
"That doesn't matter! You made me look like a pushover once again!" Tessa shouts.
"I didn't do-" Marshall starts and gets cut off.
"She was all over you!" Tessa half screams.
What the fuck did Marshall do now?
"She barley touched me!" Marshall screams back at Tessa as they stand at the end of the staircase.
"Barley touched you? You let her grab your dic-" Tessa starts but I ignore the rest of her sentence and turn to face their managers who are watching and not stopping them from fighting.
"What's going on?" I ask the two assholes.
"Beats us." Paul says.
"We were sorting out a few papers when they walked in as they were arguing." Leroy adds as he watches Tessa closely.
"I'm glad I don't remember you." Tessa says, making me turn around to face them quickly. "And I hope I never do." She adds as she takes a step closer to Marshall.
"I hope you never do either." Marshall says through gritted teeth.
What the...
"I hate you." She mumbles.
"The feelings mutual." Marshall shoots back. Tessa clenches her jaw and raises her hand up, just when she's about to slap him across her face, he grabs a hold of her hand, making me take a step foward.
"Marshall. Think about what you're doing." I say quickly. I watch Marshall drop Tessa's hand before he turns his back towards her and walks off towards the kitchen.
"Why would you make me sign the contract?" Tessa quickly turns to face Leroy.
"I-" Leroy starts and gets cut off.
"Next time you do something like this, make sure the person is not a fucking asshole." She says.
"And Paul make sure next time that she's not a dramatic bitch!" We hear Marshall shout from the kitchen.
"Who the hell are you calling a bitch!" Tessa shouts.
"Who the hell are you calling an asshole!" Marshall shouts back.
"I can't wait for this contract to end!" Tessa shouts at Leroy as she turns to face him again. I watch Tessa in confusion and shock as she stomps up the stairs.
"Well neither can I!" Marshall shouts. Tessa groans loudly at his comment as she carries on stomping up the stairs.

"You're lucky the papparazi haven't seen you." Leroy mumbles as he walks off with the contract in his hand.
"Oh, fuck off back to California!" Marshall shouts after him.
"Marshall. You have to stick to the contract-" Paul starts as I stand up from my high stool.
"And you can fuck off too." Marshall mumbles as he walks away from Paul, making me follow him.
"What the hell is going on man?" I ask Marshall as I follow him up the stairs. "Marshall, what the fuck man. Answer me!" I hiss when he doesn't say anything.
"Not right now." Marshall says.
"Tell me what the hell is going on." I say as we walk down the hallway. I stop walking slowly when I see him walk past Tessa's room and then his room.
Where the hell is he going?
"I thought-" I say as I follow him but get cut off by Marshall.
"I said not now." He says, making me clench my jaw. I stay quiet and follow him down the hallway until we reach the third last room.
Marshall glances over his shoulder before he pushes the door open to the room that full of cardboard boxes and bubble wrap all over the floor. I cam tell his place hasn't been used in a while.
"And the oscar goes too..." I turn towards the bathroom and watch Tessa walk towards us with a big smile spread on her lips.
"Marshall Mathers." Marshall says as he places his hands on Tessa's hips as she throws hers around his neck. I look away from them quickly and clear my throat when they kiss.
"You faked that?" I ask. I glance back, only to look away again when their still making out.
"Yeah." Tessa finally says, making me look back at them.
"They were suspicious." Marshall states, making me nod slowly. "I heard them talking." He adds, making me arch my eyebrow. "They had a feeling that Tessa got her memory back and that we're back together." Marshall explains.
"So. We made up a plan and I guess they fell for it." Tessa says slowly before she shrugs.
"Hu." I mumble. "Smart." I smile.
Leroy's P.O.V:
I clear my throat before I push open the black door and walk into the huge office. I ignore all the stares from the men and women in the room before I take a seat on one of the black leather chairs.
"Mr Tatum. I see you finally joined us." Mr Hermod says as I sit down and place my file down on the table. "Why did you call for a meeting?" He asks.
"Well. It's been a month since they got married." I state.
"We're aware of that, Mr Tatum." Mr Hermod replys.
"The contract can't end." I say and look up at him quickly. "We can't end it so quick." I add quickly. Everyone stays quiet for a few seconds before Mr Hermod speaks.
"And why not?" He asks, making me shake my head.
"Tessa is doing so we-" I start and get cut off.
"Quick question, Mr Tatum." I turn away from Mr Hermod and face the red haired lady. I don't talk to a lot of the people here. They're way too dangerous. But I know Rose is from England. She comes here to New York everytime we have a meeting. She has a very good relationship with the creators of the contract.
She's dangerous and I keep my distance.
"I'm sorry but I don't have time for questions. I have a flight to catch-" I start and get cut off by her.
"How much have you earned since we created the contract and since the two artist have singed the contract?" She asks.
"That's irrelevant." I say.
"How much have you earned Mr Tatum." Rose says again.
"Like I sai-" I start and get cut off.
"How much are you worth Mr Tatum. How much have you got in your bank account?" She asks, making me let out a sigh.
"17." I mumble.
"17 what?" She says.
"17 million." I say and clear my throat.
"17 million dollars." She says slowly.
"I don't understand where you are going with this." I clear my throat. Rose holds my gaze for a few seconds before she pushes her chair back and stands up.
"Just before the contract started you were worth 10 million." She says as she walks towards Mr Hermod. "And it's been around a year and a half and you have earned seven million." She says. "You want the contract to carry on because your earning quiet a lot." She says, making me let out a laugh.
"Aren't we all earning something from this contract?" I say as I sit up. Rose folds her arms across her chest. "Imagine what would happen if the contract didn't end." I add.
"Yeah...And imagine what would have happened if it didn't end and Tessa broke rules along with Marshall." Rose says, making me sigh.
"They won't break anymore rules." I say and watch her let out a laugh before she quickly stops.
"Yeah. You promsied us that last time." She states.
"I know but this time I know they won't." I say and watch her raise her brow as she waits for me to carry on speaking. "They're having fights now. Tessa still hasn't got her memory back. I see them fight all the time." I shrug.
"Which makes everything worse." She says and shakes her head.
"How so?" I ask. "This is what we wanted. For them to hate eachother so they don't end up breaking any more rules." I add.
"Them fighting will only make one of them break the biggest rule on the contract." She says as she slams her hand down on the table.
"Ro-" I start and get cut off.
"This contract ends before the whole world finds out about it from those two love birds." She says before she stands up straight and folds her arms across her chest, waiting for me to argue with her.
"Mr Hermod-" I start and get cut off.
"It has to end. They have just a month and a couple of days then they go their separate ways." Mr Hermod says, making me let out a sigh. "Meeting over. I'll see you when it all ends, Mr Tatum." He adds.

It feels like years since I last updated when it's been only a couple of days but...Here's an update lol! I'm back. I'm alive. I'm ill and all I have been doing is editing chapters in bed lol.
Okay so this chapter is really boring. I wasn't going to publish this one at first but I wanted to show you guys how they are after the honeymoon and how they're hiding everything from their managers with the help of Nick.
(I also wanted you to read another *kinda* happy chapter before I make everything horrible once again 😂😂 Sorry).
