September 8th
an early morning
" wow y/n you're actually up early for once.
hm let me guess what is it? Your lunch date with Suga? Or is it Volleyball practice? You know I don't think they fixed the other net so who knows maybe we'll be forced to practice with you, and you know what that means. More Suga for y/n ~" yamaguchi half sings the last part while blocking the bathroom door
" shut up yamaguchi! I had a good rest last night, you know nothing at all!" I crawl under his arm to escape, blushing by the sudden suga mentions.
" y/n why do you take such hot showers!? Its so hot in heeerreeeeee" Yamaguchi whines.

Walking to school we meet up with tsukki at the usual spot about 7 minutes away from karasuno.
" morning yamaguchi and younger sister of yamaguchi." Tsukki says not looking toward any of us.
Yamaguchi greets him back, while I pretend I didn't hear anything.
Finally we're in school and on the first years floor, parting ways since me, yamaguchi, and tsukki aren't in the same class.
Aside from the fact that I'm not in their class, I happen to be in Kageyamas class.
Though we don't talk much once in awhile we exchange looks.
The bell goes off for the morning break which is ten minutes long, I look at the window from my classroom to see couple of girls and boy the volleyball team rallying.
"kageyama! Lets go outside and play with them" I grab kageyama and rush outside our classroom.
" wait wha-" kageyama processing the fact that we're already outside.
" well if it isn't the younger sister of yamaguchi and the king of the court, welcome" tsukki says sitting down with yamaguchi watching the rally.
" shut up" kageyama and I say at the same time.
"Y/N get ready to receive this spike!" One of the second year girls say.
They spiked it and I saved it perfectly.
" nice save y/n!" Sugawara walks up to join the rally.
" huh? Oh yeah thanks " I smile.
The rally continues on for the rest of the break.
After break was second period which was P.E,
Our P.E was combined with another first year class, class 4 which was my brothers and tsukki's class.
Our gym teacher had us either play soccer or run the track, after p.e we had a study period, I went to the library with my friend yachi.
The day goes on and so we get closer to lunch, lunch with suga.

soon the bell rang signalling its lunch break, I remembered Sugawara and I didn't talk about where we were going to meet up.
I spent 15 minutes looking for him, then I finally found him outside.
" y/n there you are, I've been looking for you all this time, kageyama said you went to the cafeteria and you weren't ther-"
" it's okay suga, I was looking for you too. All that matters is that we finally found each other " I laugh, cutting off suga.
" oh yeah, shall we sit down then?" Suga laughs scratching his head.
I nod, we sit down and it was quiet for a moment.
" so uh how was class?" I speak up, not wanting to waste anymore time.
" oh class? Nothing interesting, just the same old stuff, how was class for you?" Sugawara looks toward me.
" It was okay, same nothing new happened either." I look away up at the clouds.
Sugawara follows, he looks to the clouds too.
" look that cloud looks like a duck" I point.
"huh. It does, doesn't that cloud look like a person?" Sugawara taps me to look at another cloud.
We stare at the clouds in quiet before we hear tanaka and nishinoya.
" SUGAAAAAAAAAA" nishinoya yells.
" WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU SINCE FOREVER WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN" not noticing me sitting right beside him.
" I was just watching clouds go by with y/-"
" y/n, michimiya is looking for you also, everyone is meeting in the gym did you not hear the announcement just now?" nishinoya says cutting off Sugawara.
" no I didn't hear actually did you hear?" Suga looks at me.
" no I didn't hear anything, must've been to caught up into the clouds I guess" I laugh awkwardly.
" well lets go to the gym before daichi makes me and noya run 1000 laps for not getting back on time " tanaka says.
We all go to the gym and michimiya and the rest of the girls are sitting down in a circle.
" come on y/n, we've been waiting for you!"
" oh yeah, right. " I run toward them to join the circle.
" okay girls so me and daichi were given a letter, and the letter says that we are invited to go to a overnight volleyball tournament at nekoma high this weekend. I know it's short notice and all but I'm hoping none of you have plans this weekend because we need everyone there if we want to make it to finals atleast!" Michimiya says.
The girls giggle in excitement, while the team captain hands out permission slip forms.
" that's all for now, don't forget we have practice today and a match against aoba johsai tomorrow, dismissed!" Michimiya raises her hands.
as I'm about to walk out of the gym someone taps my shoulder.
" Nekoma overnight tournament?" Sugawara says raising his form.
" yep! Isn't it going to be fun?!" I say excitedly showing that this is going to be the first volleyball tournament I'm going to since jr high.
" of course it will be fun y/n, I hope we can get closer over time!" Sugawara smiles and waves while slowing down to wait for daichi behind us.
" yeah I hope so too " I smile lightly while still walking forward.

Afterschool- Volleyball practice for boys and girls
" We still haven't replaced the other net so we will continue with combined practices for this week and the next week!" Daichi yells to inform everyone.
"Okay so we're going to give the boys the gym to themselves for the first 15 minutes while we go run on the track outside, then after we're done the boys are going to do the same. Get it?"
Michimiya asks the team.
" got it!" Everyone jogs outside onto the track to stretch.
" alright 4 laps before the 15 minute mark is up!" One of the third year girls yells.
Soon the 15 minutes is up and the boys come out of the gym, I spot Suga and he smiles at me.
I smile and wave back.
After we get into the gym Michimiya shows us a play, after 10 minutes of practicing it we perfected the play, the play was fairly easy.
" wow y/n it doesn't take you long to get used to everyone's playing style! That's talent for sure" Michimiya pats my head smiling.
I thank her for her compliment before realizing our 15 minute own practice was over and the boys slowly started to walk into the gym.
" okay front row starters you're helping the girls with blocking their spikes, sugawara you go on the other side and take turns with y/n tossing to the girls, everyone else who is free pair up and I'll instruct you in a second " daichi yells giving out instructions.
After doing that for awhile we move on to practicing plays, offensive and defensive.
" alright who's up for a scrimmage?" Michimiya yells.
" this time it isn't girls against boys, it will be mixed, ill number you off and which ever number you are please go to the right side, don't make it any harder then it has to be" mr.takeda says.
Soon the teams are made and we play a tiny scrimmage of 2 sets, kageyama and our second setter on the team went on first, sugawara and I were just watching, we stood in peace and quiet until sugawara spoke.
" y/n I think you've heard this quite a lot but your tosses are amazing, you're a amazing player, actually no you're an amazing person on and off the court " he says looking at me with a shy smile on his face.
" thank you sugawara! It really means a lot, you're a amazing person on and off the court too. You have amazing hands and I mean that as a compliment! " I laugh
" thanks y/n " Sugawara laughs.
" suga! y/n! We're switching setters! Come on" hinata yells.
We both run on to the court, obviously on either side of the net of each other. Sugawara looks at me.
" I ain't taking it easy on you" he smiles lightly.
" same goes for you Sugawara!" I giggle softly.
It's our set point
" the rally has been going on for a long time, I never used a tip/ dump yet, now would be a good time to end things"
As I pretend to set it to tsukki I jump and tip it just over the net, it hits the floor and everyone looks up at me.
" whoa where did that come from? I wasn't expecting that, good job you won fair and square y/n" Sugawara says amazed.
" yeah who knew you could actually jump " tsukki says.
" hey shut up dinosaur " I say.
Team 2 set point!
Practice was over.
