Tessa's P.O.V:
"Oh, she just moved her hand." I smile down at Kim's daughter Whitney. "Marshall she just moved her tiny hand...Awww! She did it again, did you see that? Oh my god." I say as I walk towards him. Marshall chuckles as I stand up on the bed and rock Whitney in my arms.
"Let me sleep, Tess." Marshall sniffs.
"Ew, don't get me sick." I say making him laugh again.
"Isn't a girlfriend supposed to look after her boyfriend who's got a cold?" He asks. His nose is blocked so he sounds kinda funny but cute at the same time when ever he speaks.
"Not when the girlfriend has a meeting with the designers of Versace tomorrow." I mumble.
I'm finally getting my life back on track. I avoided the paparazzi as best as I could and I refused to do any interview's about my attack and Leroy didn't push me to do an interview, I'm guessing its so the media could follow me everywhere and ask me questions which will make me even more popular.
All part of the contract.
As for the two men, the one that confessed to the crime was sentenced to 9 years and the dark haired one was sentenced to 12 years with no bail or probation since he did more damage.
"Aww she just smiled. Look." I say as I sit down on the bed next to Marshall. "Did you see that?" I mumble as Marshall sits up.
"Atleast a thousand times. But I can never get enough of it." Marshall says as he moves the pink blanket away from Whitney's face.
"She's so beautiful." I whisper. Marshall doesn't say anything as he leans back into his pillow and let's Whitney hold his finger. "Are you and Kim on good terms now?" I ask.
To my suprise, Kim is actually talking to me. Ever since the robbery, she's been nice to me. We talk when she comes to drops the girls off. I can tell she still doesn't want me around the girls but she doesn't say anything about it.
"Yeah. I guess we are." He nods slowly.
"Where is she now and how come Whitney is here?" I ask.
I woke up to Whitney crying and went over to Marshall's room, Marshall was trying to stop her crying and after a few minutes of him pacing around the room with the baby in his arms, she finally fell asleep, so I left him alone with Whitney since I didn't want to wake her up.
I didn't see Kim or the girls this morning when I went downstairs to get Marshall some medicine since he has a cold. Nathan was leaving for school and said that Kim had dropped Whitney off.
I went to sleep in my own room last night since Nathan stayed the night. We're keeping mine and Marshall's relationship a secret since we don't want our mangers finding out about us.
"Kim is gone to change Whitney's name." Marshall explains.
"Her first name?" I ask as I look down at him.
"No, surname.." Marshall explains. "Whitney's full name is Whitney Lanie Hatter." He adds.
"What is she changing the name to?" I ask.
"Whitney Lanie Scott." Marshall says. "Shes probably gone to be away for a couple of days since she's got other things to handle too." Marshall sighs.
"So...does that mean the baby is staying here?" I ask.
"Do you mind?" Marshall asks.
"No, of course not." I shake my head. "I'm just wondering that's all." I shrug. "Does she not have anyone else? Like Whitney's father. Can't he look after Whitney?" I ask.
"I don't know much about her father. Kim hasn't said much." Marshall shrugs. It goes quiet between us as I rock the baby in my arms and Marshall strokes her tiny little hand with his thumb.
"Oh..Ehr.." I go stiff when the baby moves and let's out a little cry. "Marshall." I say as the baby starts to cry louder. "Marshall it's crying." I say.
"She's crying, not it." Marshall correct's me. "Just rock her in your arms and she'll fall back to sleep." He shrugs.
"Yeah...I don't think that's going to work." I say as I watch the baby cry loudly. "What wrong with her?" I ask.
"You've never looked after a baby before have you?" Marshall asks as he sniffs and reaches foward for the baby.
"Uhr...not really now." I shrug as I pass the crying baby to Marshall. Well, I did help Karla look after Milo but Karla did most of the work.
"Ay...Shhhh....I'm here Whit...Don't cry." Marshall whispers as he places a soft kiss on Whitney's forehead. "Don't cry." He repeats again sofly as he rocks her in his arms. "That's my girl. You have to be strong for mommy while she's away, okay?" Marshall talks to Whitney once shes stopped crying.
I place my chin on my knee and smile lightly as I watch Marshall smIle down at Whitney and talk to her softly. Whitney stares up at Marshall as he talks to her quietly and kisses her soft skin.
"What?" Marshall asks when he looks up at me and catches me watching him talk to Whitney.
"Nothing." I shrug and bite down on my lip, trying to hide my smile.
"What's with that look." He mumbles as he looks back down at Whitney and kisses her again.
"I just find it cute the way you're talking to her that's all." I shrug. Marshall laughs softly but stops when Whitney starts to cry again.
"Ay...I'm right here. Uncles still here." Marshall whispers to Whitney as he starts to rock her in his arms again. I lay down on the bed and watch Marshall.
"You really know how to look after babies, hu?" I say as he tires to hush Whitney again.
"I have two daughters." He shrugs. "I'm suprised you don't know how to." He says.
"I know how to look after babies." I tut. Marshall raises his brow at me, making me roll my eyes. "Guess I don't." I mumble.
I was 18 when I lost the my baby that I didn't even know I had inside me. I was disgusted with the baby. It was Gayle's baby and when I found out I lost the baby, I was happy. I was over the moon.
This was just before I told my family that I was raped by Gayle at the age of 13. He had done it again at the of 18 and I realized that it wasn't my fault so I told my family and they didn't believe me.
I left them and I didn't know I was pregnant so I would drink and do drugs. Until Karla and I got into a car crash, they told me I had lost the baby and I knew it was Gayle's baby that I had lost so I was happy that I didn't give birth to that devils baby.
I didn't tell Karla, I just moved on. I didn't let myself cry. I ignored the miscarriage and then I became famous. I didn't let myself cry for the loss of my baby, I didn't let myself think about him or her.
I'm not good with babies. Every time I hold one, I get flash backs of the day I found out I lost the baby and the day when I was raped at 13 then at 18. So, I keep my distance which is stupid I guess but I hate thinking about my past.
At times I don't mind. Like holding Whitney right made me happy, I totally forgot about my miscarriage since Marshall is here with me but if I was on my own with the baby then I wouldn't have stopped thinking
"Didn't you look after your nephews and nieces?" Marshall asks, snapping me out of my thoughts. I clear my throat and shift in my spot.
"Not really." I shrug slightly as I watch Marshall smile down at Whitney.
"Why not?" He asks.
"Well, I rarely got to see them since I broke up with my family." I shrug.
It had been over a month since my attack and it hurts to know that even when I was beaten half to death, they didn't call me to ask how I was or came to see me. Not one phone call or visit from my parents or my brothers.
Of course, the media tracked my brothers down, well all of them apart from Jay since no one really knows where he's dissappeared to. They asked my dad and brothers tons of questions which they ignored.
Andrew said that mom doesn't know due to her the alzheimer's. He said that she still remembers me as the girls who left home at the age of 18 and he also said that she doesn't recognize me in my latest pictures since I have changed.
"We had nannies to look after the kids." I say. "Okay now my family sound like a bunch of snobs." I roll my eyes. "I'm going to get dressed." I tell Marshall.
I lean foward and Marshall meets me halfway and kisses me on my lips before I pull back and walk out of the room as Marshall talks to Whitney who's finally stopped crying again. I glance back at Marshall and smile at the sight of him talking to Whitney before I walk out of the bedroom and close the door behind myself.

"Hailie and Alaina just fell alseep." Nathan whispers as he sits down on the stairs next to me. We hear glass smashing, making us look towards the room.
Kim had showed up with Hailie, Whitney and Alaina just a few minutes ago. Apparently Kim's was in a relationship with some fugitive who's on the run for drug charges and Marshall isn't too happy about this since the fugitive was around his daughters and Kim didn't tell him.
It had been a week since Kim came back to get Whitney before she dissappeared. I was just about to leave for New York but Kim showed up with all three of the girls.
"You got engaged without telling me!" We hear Kim shouts at Marshall.
"Thats different!" Marshall shouts back.
"How is it different? You don't want Eric to be looking after Hailie and Alaina just like I don't want Tessa to look after our children!" Kim says. I let out a small sigh as I place my chin in my palm.
"Tessa isn't a fucking fugitive!" Marshall shouts, his voice slightly cracking. "And she ain't no druggie either." He adds. "You had this bastard around our kids, Kim...And you didn't even tell me about him." He shouts.
"When are you going get over this?" Kim asks. We hear Marshall laugh a little, making Nathan and I look at eachother.
"He's lost it now." Nathan whispers.
"Don't you think you should go in there and step in?" I ask.
"Me?" He raises his brow. "No one can stop them from arguing." He shakes his head.
"You had a drug addict around my kids!" Marshall say's in disbelief. "And you expect me to get over that?" He asks.
"Eric is gone now." Kim states.
"He's Whitney's father. He can come back any damn minute to see Whitney." Marshall says. "How stupid can you be to let someone like him around our daughters!" Marshall shouts. We hear the baby starting to cry, making Marshall turn his back towards Kim as she walks towards the push chair.
"Look what you've done now." Kim mumble.
I get a glimpse of Marshall again through the living room door. I watch as he walks towards Kim and takes the baby in his arms as she cries.
"I made a mistake." Kim says as she turns to Marshall and watches him pace up and down the living room with the baby in his arms.
"That's something I should be used to by now." We hear Marshall say as he rocks the baby in his arms. The baby stops crying but Marshall keeps the baby in his arms.
"Eric isn't going to come back. I know that." Kim says.
"He will when he finds out that he has a daughter." Marshall says, trying not to shout so Whitney won't wake up again. Marshall stops talking when his eyes land on Kim who's looking down at the her shoes. "He doesn't know about Whitney, right?" Marshall asks.
"He-" Kim starts but gets cut off by Marshall.
"You said he didn't know about Whitney!" Marshall hisses, trying not to wake up the baby. "You said he didn't know you were pregnant!" Marshall adds.
"Maria was there during the birth." Kim sighs slowly.
"Who?" Marshall's eyes brows knit together in confusion.
"Maria. She's Whitney's grandmother." Kim explains.
"Are you fucking kidding me!" Marshall shouts.
"Whitney will wake up-" Kim starts but Marshall cuts her off.
"We have to deal with her grandma now too!" Marshall shouts.
"She won-" Kim starts before she gets cut off by Marshall once again.
"You said Eric didn't even have any family! How many more lies did you feed me?" He asks. It goes quiet for a few minutes again before Kim finally speaks.
"Eric, his sister and his mom were all there when I was giving birth." Kim say quietly. It goes quiet again for a long time.
The door slowly opens and Nathan and I watch as Marshall walks out of the room and makes his way towards us. Marshall doesn't bother looking at me or Nathan as he makes his way upstairs with the baby still in his arms.

The security take my bags that are by the door as I pull on my jacket. I grab my phone and my bag before I walk out of my room. I make my way towards Marshall's room and knock on the door.
I push open the door and walk in to find Marshall walking out of his bathroom. I glance at Whitney who's alseep in the middle of Marshall's bed with pillow surrounding her, preventing her from falling.
"Where you off to?" Marshall asks. Kim is still downstairs and Marshall stayed in his room.
"New York." I say as I walk towards him.
"Is that today?" He asks.
"Yeah." I nod.
"I've been busy wi-" Marshall start before I cut in quickly.
"I know. You don't have to apologize." I shrug. Marshall walks towards me and wraps me up in his arms as he kisses me on my cheek. "I'm gonna miss you." I tell him as I wrap my arms around him and hug him back.
"I can drop you off-" Marshall starts but I cut him off quickly.
"No, you have to stay here." I state.
"Well...Are you going to be back before Christmas?" He asks.
"I hope so." I shrug. Christmas is only two weeks away and I was staying in New York for 12 days. "Are you sure you don't want me to stay and help out with Whitney?" I ask for the tenth time, making Marshall sigh.
"No. You go." He says as he pulls back.
"I love you." I smile up at him and kiss him. After a few seconds, we both pull away.
"I love you too." He smiles down at me. I give him one last hug and kiss before I walk out of his room.
I walk into Nathan's room and give him a quick hug before I make my way downstairs and towards the front door. I stop in my tracks and make my way towards the living room.
"Are you alright?" I ask Kim, making her jump up. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." I say awkwardly.
"It's fine." She smiles. "Are you leaving?" She asks.
"Yes." I sigh as I push my hair back.
"Can I ask you something?" She says slowly. I glance at the clock on the wall before I lean against the wall.
"Sure." I shrug.
"You like Alaina and Hailie, right?" She asks.
Where is this all coming from?
"Of course I do." I shrug lightly.
"And Whitney?" She asks.
"Where are you going with this?" I ask her as I lean off the wall.
"Marshall's adopting Whitney and your name might also be on the papers and..." The rest of her words trail off as I take everything in.
Marshall's adopting Whitney? How come I didn't know about this and Kim actually thinks that i'm going to be part of the baby's life when all of this is a contract.
I love Marshall but taking care of someone else's baby? No thank you it only brings back bad memories. Kim stops talking midsentence as I walk out of the room and out the front door, leaving the door wide open behind me.
